This series was everything. I'm sad to see the Murray brothers go this time for real. I'm satisfied everyone got their satisfied ending although I didn't feel like there was enough on Mixie and Tank. Outlaw was still super hilarious. He is bae for real. Janelle really balanced him out and created him less crazy! Cree and Carm are so cute. I hope all works out for them. I actually felt poor for Syd. I felt like she just couldn't catch a break when it came to Yolo. When she broke down and cried in that vehicle I cried with her. I know she wasn't upset I just wanted them to have a new start, no baggage. Anyways, I love the 360 Kane did for his family. He ended up being a true stand up guy. This was so amazing and answered all my questions. Can't wait for your next banger. Amazing Job Porscha Sterling!!!!
Have you ever wanted the opportunity to obtain an extended glimpse into the globe of some of your favorite characters long after the series has ended? Well, that is exactly the bonus that keeps on giving that Ms. Porscha Sterling delivered to her readers in the form of Poor Boys Do It Better 5. This extended epilogue gave every reader the opportunity to have every question, concern, and even the little niggling murmurs that may have continued to plague your mind after part 4 to be place to rest. I have created it no secret that The Murray Brothers have an additional dose of male testosterone that seems to hone in and draw women to them from miles away. The thing is, is that each of them found the woman that they were designed to be with and have now taken us on another hilarious, emotionally tinged ride once again. With Janelle and Outlaw we were able to see that while love is absolutely important, it isn't the only ingredient to a successful relationship. The need to maintain one's independence and mesh together as a couple sometimes was fraught with accidental missteps but in the end, they both were able to recognize the needs of one another and do exactly what a couple in love is oft to do...MEET THOSE NEEDS!!! Yolo's discovery of a betrayal from someone from his past left me a small emotional but then watching how he struggled and ultimately rose to meet the challenges that were cast his method was again a testament to the strength that is indelibly mixed into the Murray DNA. Cree with his thug/nerdish ways was understanding of Carmella and her need for the spotlight. Instead of stifling her inner light he embraced it and helped her come to an simple compromise that worked well for both of them. There were times where I laughed, my eyes misted with tears, and I basically scared the bejeezus out of my nephew from hollering so loudly at the foolishness between these brothers and Bryan's antics. I loved this conclusion and quite frankly I don't think I've witnessed anyone wrap-up a book quite as eloquently as Ms. Sterling. Every element that we required to feel complete was included and while we may still clamor for more it isn't a need it is simply a gluttonous nature that we've all begun to embody simply because her writing is in short nothing less than MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, this is how you end a series of laughs, tears and moments of suspense is when you know we as your faithful fans wish more on the much loved Murrays so please take it into serious consideration to give us a spin-off, an update, a holiday book, further down the line. Just like this part 5 was a true surprise...... seeing anything with the Murrays will definitely be welcomed. These are characters that you love so much you have to add them to your Kindle library and revisit.
I cannot say amazing bye to the Murray Brothers.... Nope, not I. I will definitely be reading about them in Tank and Maxie’s spin-off. I’m confident about this lol. I will be at every latest one of their weddings lol. I will [email protected]#$%! if I’m not invited! This is one of those series that you never can obtain enough of. It just keeps you wanting more and more. I laughed....I really laughed and not once was I disappointed! Amazing job! Unbelievable series..... give me more!
The Murray brothers tho 😍😍. Well mainly Outlaw and Cree I loved them!! But this was the excellent ending for this crazy characters. I enjoyed watching them develop and grow from book 1 till now. I still don’t like YOLO but I guess he’s okay now. Carmella was crazy!! I loved tho 💜. I wouldn’t mind reading and Tank and Mixie too. Definitely a greats series ‼️
You gotta love the Murray's . Would love to see Tank & Mixie relationship blossom.... Luke & Nell Did they really name that baby Lukekeisha lol that was funny....Love how everyone was able to work on their relationship and present some growth.... Luke AKA Outlaw is bar... Gr8 Book I highly recommend this series can't wait to see if we obtain a spin-off
You never disappoint love this ending .Sidney got her happily ever after . I was satisfied Janelle realized who she was with and stopped acting ugly towards Outlaw . I just knew Carmella was wrong about my Cree if you did a spinoff of any of them would love for it to be Carmella &Cree .Thanks for giving us fans an even deeper ending to a bomb series .
Now that’s the method you end a series. Porscha you never disappoints your fans. We asked and you delivered. I loved the method it ended. I would love to read about Tank and Mixie....I hate to see the squad go but all amazing things must come to an end. This is most definitely a must read series. One of my favorite series...#850
Outlaw I so love how he has grown into a man. He loves his family to death. All the men have grown into family men. I would like to see more of Tank and Mixie. This series is coming to an end but i definitely enjoyed the ride. Amazing series Porscha.

Autumn and Emmett had know each other most of their lives. They were neighbors, best mates and so much more. Somewhere along the method Jason Adams moved to city and became a part of their package and in so doing, altered their relationship. Jason and Autumn dated in high school and the summer of graduation they married. Emmett was crushed. In order to deal with the pain, he joined the troops to obtain away from seeing them together.Ten years have passed and there has been no communication between them but not a day went by that Emmett didn't think about her. During that time, Autumn and Jason divorced while Emmett was serving his country in Afghanistan. That's when life took a sharp turn. Emmett was critically wounded. Because his injuries were life threatening, his brother asked that he be brought home to Raleigh. A front page article about his heroism alerted Autumn about his arrival and this is where the story really e book is filled with situations that are all to real, touching, and emotional and you will have a front row seat to see what their lives have entailed and about how they deal with the results. If you are like me, you will shed a tear or two, and search you heart so full you will wish to send a thank you note to the author for presenting such a remarkable story about man and his journey through life. And somewhere along the method you will be reintroduced to his friends, family and others from his home city and the emotional journey will stay with you for a long is is not a fast read...but it is a unbelievable story filled with endearing characters and some might easily wish to forget...and in the end a true five star winner. I received a reader copy and have already alerted my mates about this one. It's a keeper.
My First Love is a amazing second possibility romance that pulls on the heartstrings. Emmett and Autumn had been mates for ever; Jason always seems to obtain to Autumn just before Emmett has the possibility to tell her how he really feels. Emmett even walks Autumn down the aisle to marry Jason while his heart is breaking. Jason doesn't deserve Autumn but Emmett hopes he's changed his cheating ways. Emmett leaves his drunk/abusive father and brother, Paul, and joins the marines. Ten years later and fate has brought Autumn and Emmett back together. Jason is for the most part out of the picture, leaving behind his heartbroken daughter, Penny. I love how these characters were brought back together, how they were able to pick up their friendship right away, and build on that to finally face the truth of their feelings for each other. This story brought so much growth for Autumn, Emmett, Autumn's dad and Emmett's brother, Paul. There were definitely ups and downs and times where you didn't think they were going to obtain their HEA. The story pulled me along, especially with the dual perspectives - reading from Emmett's and then Autumn's perspectives gave interesting insights into what drove them to do the things they did. And interwoven into the emotional ride, were plenty of spicy scenes to create the story more enticing. As another reviewer mentioned, I think there could definitely be a follow-up story for Paul... would love to see him obtain his HEA.
I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this second possibility romance between Emmett and Autumn. Autumn and Emmett were best mates since they were little kids and when Autumn started dating Jason, Emmett never told her how he felt about her because he wanted her to be happy. Jason repeatedly cheated on Autumn and Emmett warned him to treat her better, so Jason asked Autumn to marry him. When Autumn's father couldn't be at the wedding because of work, Emmett walked Autumn down the aisle. Emmett then left for the marines and was gone for 10 years. Autumn and Jason eventually divorced after their daughter Penelope was born. Emmett was shot in the chest and was sent back to the states in a coma, not expected to live. When Emmett woke, he learned it was his estranged brother who requested him being brought back to the states. Emmett tried to reach out to his brother, but Paul was mad and hesitant. Autumn saw Emmett's picture in the paper about waking from his coma and decides to go see him. When Emmett sees Autumn, he knows he still loves her. When he learns of the divorce, he wants to be with her. When Emmett is released from the hospital, Autumn offers her guest house as a put for Emmett to live. Autumn is hoping to present Emmett she loves him and they can be together. I loved this story and thought Penelope was adorable. Emmett was a amazing father to her and a amazing guy for Autumn. It was amazing seeing them reconnect. Another amazing one from Weston.
Emmett has always loved Autumn. As best mates growing up, Emmett wanted Autumn to be happy, so he stepped aside when she chose to marry his mate Jason. In order to avoid seeing them on a everyday basis and wallowing in the sadness of a missed opportunity, he joins the Marines and leaves everyone behind. Ten years later, Emmett is injured and returns home. He discovers Autumn is now divorced and has a daughter. Without Jason between them, they both tumn is driven and independent. While this book is listed as a "bad boy" romance, I didn't obtain that vibe from Emmett. There's a certain innocence to him. And I absolutely loved him. He's a amazing man who's created choices putting other people's needs ahead of his ere are plenty of steamy scenes between the characters filled with desire and passion. There's a lengthy cast of characters who all contributed to the story. Penelope was a amazing addition and dialogue and behavior were all age appropriate which was wonderful. I struggled with the pacing in this story and the repeated comparisons to Jason. And while I do have fun long stories that contain more than just a hook up between main characters, I thought this one stretched the ending a bit much with a very long epilogue.Overall, this is a amazing story of a couple's desire to finally be together after a lifetime of loving each other.3.5-4/I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. This did not affect my opinion of the book or content of my review./
I love how this writing duo is able to spin several various themes together to create a story and they just seem to ‘click’. Here we have childhood best friends, second possibility love, and single parent, all with a military twist. I also have a love-hate relationship with their ability to create me cry by the end of a book, and this one was no exception. The emotional connection with the reading is powerful in this story and there were several times that left me reaching for the tissues. Autumn and Emmett are tragic and precious together. In every interaction we see, it’s clear how much they each care for the other, but they’re so horribly poor at talking to one another. I alternated between wanting to shake some sense into the pair of them and wondering what would go wrong next. Penelope is such a delightful addition to the story. She’s innocent and precocious which meant that every stage with her in it left me sighing at her sweetness or giggling over her recent antics. Most were both. I adore the notice going on under the story to always create time for your loved ones, because they really are your most necessary treasure.I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

This is a amazing second possibility story of Emmett and Autumn. They went to school together from grade school through high school. They were best mates and they each had feelings for the other but was afraid to cross the mate line. If it didn’t work out they’d lose each other’s friendship forever. So he stood back when she dated his best mate Jason and even walked her down the aisle at their wedding. He had to obtain away from seeing her with Jason and joined the Marines. Then ten years later Autumn and Jason divorced because of his infidelities and soon after he stopped seeing their daughter. Emmett got damage in the military and had to be brought back home to heal. Autumn and Emmett see each other and reconnect. He search out about the latest ten years and her daughter. They begin getting closer but then obstacles happen. Will they finally realize they belong together and to trust that they will stay that method forever? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This second possibility love story will grab you and not allow you place it down until you finish the latest page. Autumn and Emmett grew up together and were best friends. They both secretly cared more about each other, but allow their fears interfere with discovering if they could have a romantic relationship. Autumn marries right out of high school to Emmett's best mate - he even gives her away at their wedding. Needing to begin his own life, Emmett joins the Marines. He comes home after an injury and he and Autumn reconnect. She has since been divorced and has a unbelievable young daughter. The dynamics between all of the characters is amazing. Their growth and how everyone becomes a true family is amazing. Read this book to explore if Emmett and Autumn can finally have their HEA. I received an advanced readers copy of this book, but loved it so much I purchased it too. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
A well written second possibility romance with nice storyline and plot. The characters are well described and develops nicely through the story. Their chemistry is awesome and hot.I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The twists makes you just wish to read more.Emmett and Autumn were in grade school together. Emmett fell in love with Autumn and in spite of her marrying his best friend, he always loved her and noone else. Nothing changed. He would go to hell to support her. Emmett leaves to join the Marine and Autumn is left with a cheating husband and feelings for Emmett. She gets a divorce from Jason. Emmett is wounded and goes into coma. He is returned to the local hospital. No more spoilers here! The story has humour, sadness, passion, drama, action, heartbreak, regrets, chemistry, love, attraction, making decisions, trust and emotional up and downs in it. The use of words that Weston Parker has just captivated me in the story and I had to [email protected]#$%! in one setting. WP writes in a method that you are there with the characters and feel everything with them.Absolutely a five star story that I can recommend if you like romances.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this bookOMG another awesome read by Rye HartJulie just got dumped by her boyfriend Josh after they had been together for a couple of years sh is a doctorwho just started his residency and just feels he has no time for any relationships right now.Heartbroken Julie decides to leave Dallas and moves to a little city called Ennis to begin on she meets this awesome guy called Michael and there is so much chemistry between the two of them.Everything is event so quick and before she knows it she is invited to dinner with Michael to meet his brother. But she has no idea that it is going to be a dinner from hell. BUT that is not all that happens, there are lies told,(some that are very close to the truth) Secrets kept and drama OMG drama, Will Julie and Michael have their HEAOr will Josh hold them apart? I LOVED this book
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I liked this book. There was a lot of drama. It was hard to obtain through, but having read quite a few of this authors books, knew it was there for a reason. When the main male hero entered, the peices fell into place. I really liked the ending, the method it tied the whole story together. Not one of my favorite books by this author, but still a amazing read. So why you ask did I give it 5 stars. The author knows how to write. How to bring the characters to life. In this case, family drama, OFH, I already have too much to deal with, this time of year, so... reading about it was, a bit much. But that is what this author does. Brings a book to life, sometimes too close to reality, sometimes it’s too much, but that’s her gift. If a book can create you feel, relate, stop you in your tracks, whether it be amazing or not so good, it’s worth reading.
Julie - supported her ex Josh, through med school for 2 years, and now as he’s climbing up the career ladder, he suddenly unceremoniously dumps her!Wanting to obtain as far away from Dallas that she could, Julie decided to move to Ennis, a little city in Texas, for a fresh begin and to finally place herself first and go after her own dreams.Michael is sexy, hot as h€ll, passionate and a sweet guy. Julie is a freelance writer who has basically place her life on keep to support and help her boyfriend Joshua to become a doctor and to search his family, he then dumps her after 2 years together. Seen too much of this scenario for real. She moves to a little city called Ennis and meets Michael when he introduces himself and persist until she goes out with him. As she slowly warms up to Michael, unknown to her there are secrets that are slowly creeping up on her from Michaels past that she is part of but has no idea. Who knew going to a family dinner with Michael will bring out those secrets, Joshua and some ugliness. You will have to read the book for yourselves to search out who she gets her HEA with Michael or Josh. Enjoy, I did! My voluntary and honest review for an ARC!
Michael Smart, works in a oil and rigs firm at Ennis, he was an adopted son in a family and in a course of making up his relationship with his long latest elder brother, Joshua. Julie Black has a dream to become a journalist is now doing as a freelancer, goes to settle in Ennis after her boyfriend dumped her. When Michael return back to work at Texas, he meets Julie in a Cafe and gets acquainted to her. Their acquiantance grows to a date and then heating up bed. I voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book I received. Both Micheal and Julie are excited about their budding relationship like teenagers, also they realise it is all not just sex but more than that. The closer they come to know about one another they begin falling deeper into the relationship. They both share alot but never named who her ex or his elder brother. This is a really a lovely piece with full of emotions, the twist and turns are delivered perfectly. The emotional nagging both the lead got through when they search Joshua is the Michael's brother, also Julie's ex. And the truth that makes everything worse. I could recommend this book, read to feel it, this book has hot explicit scene.
Michael is by far the better brother. Julie is suddenly dumped by her fiance of two years, who decided that, as a fresh doctor, he doesn't wish to be tied down or distracted from his residency. Understandably, she's damage and angry, especially since she place up with a lot when he was in medical school. Needing to obtain away, Julie moves two hours out in the country to small-town Texas. A bit of coincidence happens and one of the first people she meets is Michael. He's nice, hot, simple to talk to and he feels oddly familiar and comfortable to be with. This coincidence is handled well. Michael is Josh's biological brother. They recently discovered they were brothers and spend time together but don't really obtain involved in their lives. Julie and Michael haven't met. Their romance is what the one with Michael wasn't. With this kind of set up, you know there's going to be some family drama and hidden agendas.
Julie is heartbroken after her boyfriend of two years abruptly ends their relationship, so she decides to move to Ennis to begin over. After moving city she heads to the local coffee store to do some online job hunting and it's here that she meets Michael, a handsome eir relationship progresses slowly and she starts to fall for Michael and all his charm until he introduces her to his family and here is where the drama and angst takes over. Julie has past problems that she is not sure she can overcome and Michael is also holding back a secret that could ruin his chances with Julie if she discovers what he has been is was a amazing read with some very hot chemistry between Michael and Julie, they had to overcome quite a few huge hurdles as well as learning to forgive where necessary. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I really enjoyed this story and didn't wish to place it down once I started reading. Despite loving the city, Julie needs an escape after she gets her heart broken by her boyfriend of two years, Joshua. Ending up in a little town, she's not looking for a relationship. However, fate has a various idea for her when she meets Michael.... or does it? Will their relationship be able to survive when she finds out she's had a connection to Michael all along? There was a twist thrown in that even the reader didn't know. It really had me going through the emotions, right alongside Julie. I was torn. I really wanted the Julie and Michael together, but I felt blindsided by Michael's actions, too. In the end, I was satisfied with how everything turned out.*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
This book was written so well and had a amazing story to tell. Julie moves from Dallas to Ennis Texas to obtain away from her poor ex-boyfriend. She wasted two years of her life thinking she was in love with Josh, but as soon as he graduated from medical school he dumped her, telling her he has no time for a relationship. After moving to Ennis a week ago, Julie runs into a very handsome man named Michael at the coffee shop. There are definite sparks between the two and Michael gets her number before he heads to his office. The chemistry between Julie and Michael is undeniable and even though she just recently got out of a relationship Julie can't deny the fact that she is very attracted to Michael. But Michael has secrets and they could blow up in his face. Grab this book today to search out what happens. Definitely recommend this book as a must read.
I found this to be a very amazing read. Julie leaves her hometown after being dumped by her doctor boyfriend, Josh, of two years. She is devastated and plans to move on by relocating to a fresh city for a new start. This city is about an hour from her family and former boyfriend. While sitting in the local coffee shop, she is approached by Michael, and it is instant attraction for both of them! Michael is a billionaire workaholic who was adopted as a kid and is now trying to build a relationship with his older brother whom he only met a few years this book to search out how the relationship between Michael and Julie and Michael and his brother progresses and what happens is book was well-written and had a amazing storyline. I loved the relationship between Michael and Julie from the is book was given to me as an ARC for my honest opinion. I highly recommend it and look forward to reading more by this author.
This book was amazing!!! It definitely hooked me from the beginning and I could not place it down!! With a hot and sexy guy like Asher Kelley, why would you wish to stop reading? And Briar Vale.....not your timid small sister. She knew what she wanted and place herself out there in ways not a lot of girls would at that age. It didn't quite work out for her, but sometimes there are circumstances beyond one's control that forces life to go in a direction that they would not choose.I seriously cannot say enough unbelievable things about the story. Awesome characters (Adrian.....loved him!!), unbelievable storyline, twists that I didn't see coming....this book was just fantastic. Cannot wait to see what is next in this series!!
4.5 stars for a super hot Charleigh Rose home run! This book has amazingly hot sex scenes, super angsty conversations, cat fights, bro throwdowns, and a unbelievable her Kelley is the poor boy from the wrong side of the tracks that we all love to love. Briar Vale is the amazing girl. The two wish each other. BADLY. But the timing is wrong. And then things go downhill. n they forgive each other for past mistakes? Can they obtain over the trauma they have each suffered? Will there be enough tissues in the box for both the sexy scenes and the ones that have you crying? It's a mystery. Read it and search out.
I completely abandoned any and all responsibility when this beauty showed up on my Kindle.Damaged boys are my favorite. That is no secret. Asher Kelley is no exception.I love how Briar accepts him no matter what. She is the real meaning of unconditional love. Something that man so desperately needs and 'll absolutely fall in love with Briar and Asher, while simultaneously wanting to throat cut them.
Poor Habit was one of my top 3 "Most Anticipated" books of the year.. and I was SO not disappointed. I did kind of feel like, if you followed the author online, all of the best parts of the story had already been released in tidbits and teasers though, so that watered down a bit of the "feels", for me. Still, overall, I fricking can't obtain enough of the angsty, damaged poor boys and the girls they just can't stay away from.
There was just so much emotion. Anger and heat. Taboo and innocent at the same time. I said I was going to draw it out..read it over a couple of days. But I couldn't place it down. I read all night (I'm paying the price now, but still - so worth it!!) I was left wanting to know more..every small detail, but still happy at the end. Thanks for the escape CR! I lived a life so various from mine for a few hours.
I love me some poor boy hero's that are broken and grew up in a rough way. I'm always drawn to them and feel the need to cheer them on. Asher was delicious, possessive, and hot!I loved that Briar wasn't a doormat and fought for what she is book had some amazing side characters as well! Who's story is next? I'm going to need that sooner rather than later!
Story pulls you in fast and characters are very relatable. I really enjoyed this and read it in less than a day. The main characters are "forbidden" in several ways- there is an age difference, he is her brother's best friend, and because of a not good home life, he has been almost like a second brother to her over the years, spending so much time at their house. I love the protective brother trope and the edgy/ risky vibe from Asher that was not overdone and very believable. Definitely recommend!
I don’t even know where to start! This book blew my mind! Poor Habit is a unbelievable roller coaster ride with all the feels. I laughed, I got angry, sad, happy, and everything in between. I sincerely loved this book, and very much hope to read more from these characters! Give Me More Charleigh Rose!
Forbidden, angsty, love love love! Charleigh is a newish author to me and each book gets better and better. Amazing writing and all of the elements to create the story developed and complete are there. If you wish all the feels, I highly recommend this one!!
What a amazing book. When i picked up this book i was looking for something light and fun to read. It was that and so much more. I don't understand some of the poor reviews but to me i loved every second of it. It was quick pace but for me that's what i needed. Sammie was a fire cracker from the start. At moments i did not like her attitude but that's what created her her. She did not like Kain and i understood why. Kain was an buthole at first but that's what i loved about him. Again everything happened quick but that could really happen. Love has not time me people have to remember that this is fiction so take it for what it is. Everyone has there own opinionCan't wait for the second book to read about Costello he was so mysterious in this book I have to search out why
I really wanted to like this book more than I did, because I've loved everything else I've read by Nora Flite. The pieces are all there, but they didn't click into put for me. I didn't feel that Kain was *bad* enough to be classified as a cocky and arrogant poor boy, there were too a lot of Badd family secrets being hinted at but no explanation ultimately given (which I found frustrating), and I wasn't feeling the threat versus everyone's lives to justify Sammy essentially being held prisoner like that. While Kain is technically of royal blood, his branch of the family is more like the rulers of the underworld. There is plenty of action, drama, and mystery weaved throughout. Kain does turn out to be Sammy's knight in shining armor, and there are sweet and tender moments between them. But overall, Royally Poor just fell short for me.I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
This is my first time to read anything by Nora Flite and I have to say…she’s quickly becoming a go-to favorite. This book is a fast read that has drama, plot-twists, and some oh so sexy steamy goodness to hold your mind occupied. Ms. Flite had me hooked from page one and I loved every e mafia-like globe Nora made was detailed and it really keeps you interested in what might happen next. Even with its drama, there were some scenes that had me laughing outloud and that is what stole my heart the most…Nora Flite has the ability to create your heart race and laugh at the same time. It’s really quite a special ability. The characters were even more amazingly detailed and had a depth to them that created you wish to know mmy is a wedding dress maker who could quite possibly be a high-end designer, but instead she came back to her hometown so that she could take care of a sick mother. Her life isn’t perfect, but she has a amazing heart and a powerful spirit. Kain is more than just the poor boy with a sexy smirk, even though he plays that part well and the connection he shares with Sammy is hot, hot, hot.Even though this was a fast read for me and there was some beautiful amazing banter between the characters…this book is not a light read. The more you delve into this globe the deeper seated you become in it. The more you search out how everything connects. I really enjoyed this book and I’m already looking forward to the next installment in the series!

Loved this book! OMG, I'd never heard of this author, but this book sounded great, so I took a possibility on it. Wow, am I glad I did. A very sexy poor boy romance with a few twists that kept me turning pages just as quickly as possible. I was sorry when it ended and am already looking forward to the next book in the series.I'm adding the author to my must read authors' list and going to work my method through her back list. If you like the genre, you will love this book!
This was an awkwardly funny read – in some locations it was great, in others not so much… and it was definitely far-fetched in more than once put which is why I’m only giving 3.5 stars. The premise was there but there were parts that were just to far out there to be believable.Kain Badd’s family is mafia-like and consider themselves royalty. Sammy is a wedding dress maker just trying to survive and hold her mother healthy. When Kain’s sister whirls into Sammy’s wedding dress shop, demands a wedding dress (for an exuberant amount of money) and makes a insta-friend out of Sammy – Sammy’s life changes forever. She’s now been dragged into the Badd family drama and to “keep her safe” Mr. Badd (Kain’s father) himself elects to literally lock Sammy away in his house for her own safety. Kain and Sammy’s attraction is immediate and though Sammy sometimes hates Kain’s attitude she’s quickly falling for him… then things turn really weird when Kain’s other siblings begin showing is story was a small confusing with all the names being thrown around. The writing style was okay and the storyline wasn’t not good it just lacked realism. The Badd family literally locks Sammy up in a room for months and won’t allow her out for anything “for her own safety” and the entire book there are tips about Kain’s older sister being a bigger part of the story but we’re really left hanging without a clue as to what is actually going on there. I didn’t like that the book left off with so a lot of unanswered questions. On the bright side – I not only really liked both Sammy and Kain’s characters I’m intrigued enough about Kain’s sisters story that I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for the next book in the series. Hopefully it’ll respond the burning questions!I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Royally Poor by Nora Flite is a fresh book in her The Poor Boy Royals Series. I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I adored it!!Sammy is a wedding planner and talented wedding dress designer. Then we have Kain Badd and his crazy family. Not only royalty, rich and famous, no they are connected to the underworld pletely desperate to create a huge sale Sammy gets involved with the Badd family in order to hold her business going. Small does Sammy know that Kain Badd will be the/her royal pain in the butt but also her knight in shining armor. Kain thought that he was only helping out his lil sister but when he gets a load of Sammy, its like instalove and instalust all at once for ere are a lot of twists and turns in this romantic yet at times funny look at how love happens between “ royalty and the pauper “ . This book was full of drama, suspense, action , romance ,awesome sex scenes and a amazing HEA. You are drawn in from page 1 and cant stop reading until the very end. I hated for the story to end so I am glad there is a book 2 in this series on the horizon. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this type of rating: 4.5 stars **** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

Royally Poor (Bad Boy Royals #1) by Nora Flite3 starsM/F RomanceTriggers: Attempted murder, murderI was given this book for an honest review by Wicked mm, where to begin with this review. This had a amazing premise, but I just don't think that it delivered what it had potential to.Kain is from a strong family and when he is helping his sister search the excellent wedding dress, he meets Sammy, the dress mmy is witty, funny, brave and somewhat naive. While helping Kain's sister by being a bridesmaid, she inadvertently pulls Kain in further.Without giving too much away, there are gangsters who are out for blood, someone who comes back in to the story in a most unusual method and a romance that develops. I think I have more of an problem with Kain than anyone in the story - even the gangsters. He seems to genuinely care for Sammy, but his actions don't necessarily reflect that.Overall, this was a sweet story about love that had amazing potential, but was only slightly satisfactory.
Sammy designs wedding dresses and owns a bridal store when she meets her fresh client Francesca who needs a dress in two days. Sammy originally mistakes the hot sexy guy with her as her fiancé when he is actually her twin brother and a prince. Things snowball and providing a wedding dress soon develops into planning the wedding and becoming the maid of honor but who knew that some of the planning would involve Sammy and Kain between the sheets. At the wedding Sammy is taking a moment to savor how everything pulled together so quickly when bedlam erupts and she is dragged right into the middle and she must trust her prince be able to hold her safe. This book has it all including drama, a few twists and the chemistry between Sammy and Kain was hot! I can’t wait to read the siblings stories. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to read this book, but after seeing so a lot of positive reviews, I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! I thought this book was so cute. Lara Jean was so likable and related to how I was in high school (staying home to bake and knit?! Yes please!)Lara Jean, being the romantic daydreamer that she is, wrote letters to all of the boys she'd "loved" over the years (hence the title). The letters are accidentally sent out, so this story follows Lara-Jean as she deals with the confrontations and conversations that results from e other part of the story follows her and a boy named Josh, who she pretends to date so he can create his ex jealous, and she can pretend she has a boyfriend, because one of the love letters went to her older sister's ex boyfriend, and she was embarrassed. Surprise, surprise (not really), she starts developing feelings for her fresh fake boyfriend. Will she obtain hurt? Will they end up together? You'll have to wait until the sequel to search out ;)
HOW GREAT ARE THESE BOOKS?! I’m not actually done with book two yet; that review will come as soon as I am! I had to obtain my thoughts out about this first one, All The Boys I’ve Loved Before created me have a lot of thoughts I hadn’t had before with others. I think that’s why Jenny will, and is, become a very powerful force in my reading rough Lara Jean, Jenny opened up a lot of my own fears about love, sex, and relationships I’ve struggled with even in my later years in life. On top of that the book also opened my eyes to the fact that change is inevitable. Whether you’re the one changing or the one being left, or feeling like you’re left, behind as everyone else around you is moving far as the book itself, I have to say screw everyone that thinks Lara Jean is whiny and juvenile. I’m sorry, did we read the same book as everyone else? I know the mantra is not everyone reads the same book the same way, HOWEVER, Lara Jean IS JUVENILE. She’s, what, Fifteen or Sixteen in the first book? She IS a child. She’s a freaking out kid who is flipping out because she’s suddenly discovered the letters she’s kept privately are condly, she’d now the woman of the house as Margot, her eldest sister, is moving to Scotland to attend college. Being the grown up is TERRIFYING. Even with a parent present, knowing you have to take over is the worst feeling in the world. To some it may be liberating and the jump begin into responsibility others might need but to most, it can be a scary stly, the only other true male influence and relationship reference Lara Jean has had in her life is Josh, (*SPOILER ALERT*) Margot’s, now, ex-boyfriend. Margot and Josh break up so she isn’t doing the Long Distance thing and no one is tied down to each other. Something Margot’s mother drilled into the girls heads and she’s trying to uphold that mentality. With all of this going on I think Lara Jean is an incredibly well handled female protagonist. There’s even times when I think she’s handling things better than I would. There’s also times I want I could offer her tip of ‘chill out, you’re making things worse, honey.’ Lol! So her letters are gone, her sister is leaving, her sister and the boyfriend broke up which sort of upsets the dynamic of the family, and in all of this Lara Jean still has to be the one to keep the family together while her dad works long hours at the , Peter Kavinsky, ONE of the boys who received a letter, I have to say I -HATED- him, at first. His pretentiousness drove me crazy! Everyone loves him, he’s a jock, he has a beautiful boy face, and he has the hottest girlfriend at school. That seems to be a thing every book writer does once, though. They have to have ONE boy in one of their books thats a pretentious jerk that you wanna smack then later lover. Cassandra Clare did it with Jace, David Levithan did it with Dash, I’m sure there’s a million others. We love to hate e one change I did appreciate in Peter that Jenny did was that he came from a wholesome home. Most books I’ve read with a playboy attitude family their home is a wreck. Peter has a small brother, a welcoming and loving mother, a attractive home, and both sons and mother are close. Which is very important. Despite Peter’s ‘play boy attitude’ he does present that he knows how to take care of a lady. I very much appreciated that side of Peter and it created me grow to like him despite side characters acting, appropriately, to hate him because they don’t know the full personality of him.I don’t wish to go too much further into the main plot of the story because I think it’s just brilliant on it’s own. However, the drama that comes out of mailed letters wasn’t something I saw coming. I was fairly certain things weren’t going to go the method it was meant to go. You just have to READ to figure out what I’m talking about! GO! READ!Jenny Han wrote this attractive duology, now trilogy, from real perspective of clique’s, high school nightmares, first real love, first heart breaks, and anything else you could wish in a contemporary read.I’m so excited for the third book, I’m trying my hardest to obtain the ARC if there is one. Other wise I’ve already pre-ordered the hardcover! LOL! And I have a UK hook up I’m hoping to obtain the ver of since I have the first two in UK versions as well.If you obtain the possibility PLEASE pick up a copy from Amazon, Book Depository, Barnes & Noble, you’re local indie or any where else you obtain your books. I promise you won’t regret the read!
I am not entirely sure where all of the negativity surrounding this book comes from in the reviews below, but I wanted to provide an alternative is book, at its foundation is......cute. And fluffy. Pure and simple. It is not a substantial read. If you are looking for an intense, complicated, love story. This is not it.I admit that when I first realized this, I was disappointed. Based off of the book description, I was expecting something with a lot more substance. And I also agree that Lara Jean's voice sounds far younger than that of a 16 year-old girl (which was both obnoxious and confusing), and you can hardly call her feelings for these boys "love," but at the end of the day, this satisfies a need for a sweet and light-heard YA contemporary, and it truly was enjoyable. What I appreciated about this story, was how very untypical it was. Though Lara Jean was portrayed as this naive, innocent "good girl," she was not a socially awkward weakling. When I say this, I am reminded of Eliza from "Eliza and her Monsters" whose social ineptitude often irked me a amazing deal. Lara Jean had her own voice and she knew how to interact with condly, the "love triangle" show in this book was not typical. And I appreciated that as love triangles are a trope I don't often care for. Though some of it was predictable, like her falling for Peter, her handling of Josh was honest and true and Jenny Han did not let it to become two separate and reciprocal yes, while this story is not without its flaws, I don't feel it was as worthy of a one or two-star rating. There were a lot of redeemable moments and if contemporary is your thing, I definitely recommend giving it a shot.
I started out reading this book with a knowing snicker that the author has wiped clear off my face. I admit it- I jumped to a conclusion and mentally mocked a book that's probably going to be a novel that actually sticks with me forever. What a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL story. Ahhh Jenny Han you have stolen my heart! When I began this, two words came to mind: 'Little Women' and I will say that even now that I've finished, I do still suspect that the author may be a Louisa May Alcott fan because so much of the premise of 'To all The Boys I've Loved Before' is reminiscent of Small ere are only three sisters in this one and they are Korean and modern, but they have a very related bond those in the afore mentioned story and a few of the plot elements are the same: the boy next door they all fall in love with in their own method who ends up with the eldest sister, the brave, quirky middle kid who is more Anne Shirley than Jan Brady, and the hot-headed, mischievous small sister manipulating the eldest ones and every situation behind the scenes. This child is an absolute handful and if she were my sister well, I would have gone on a cupcake-baking strike for what she does in the beginning of this story. It's not as poor as burning something precious in a fire, but it is akin to it by modern e sisters have a lovely bond but off the bat, I'm not the largest fan of Margo. She's just a bit bleh in the method that small Kitty is a bit overbearing. Margo is the oldest who has been the mother figure in the home since their biological mother died, and she's leaving now to go to college in Scotland and leaving the middle sister in charge. Not only that, but she's leaving the boyfriend behind too.Look I don't know if it's possible to actually dole out spoilers with a book like this that everyone won't see coming already, but Lara has always been in love with her huge sister's boyfriend and once the sister leaves well, you can imagine what notions occur to 's beautiful predictable but I will say that that's where the predictability sically, Lara has written five love-letters in her life to silently farewell a boy once she's over her crush on them, but instead of sending them to the boy, she'd held onto them. It's cute and it's something I have done so right off the bat, I feel like this hero is a bit of a soul-mate of mine. But, shock and horror, those letters end up finding their method into the boys hands and though this probably could have been played out with a bit more mortification involved (come on! they wouldn't all take it so well!) it sets up an exciting beginning to a story that DOES NOT FAIL TO DELIVER.I love how this novel develops. The things that you think are unexpected are the things that you end up hoping for without realising that you're hoping for them, and the things that happen that you see coming hit you square in the gut even though you see them coming. I once had a very nice reviewer use the word 'Tummy Butterflies' to describe one of my own novels and I have to say that I felt like I'd feasted on butterflies once I got into this. I just love love LOVE this heroine, and I love the male characters and Peter ohmigosh he's my fresh underage sexy book boyfriend. he reminds me like a modern day take on Gilbert Blythe when he was young and clumsy with his is story is just attractive and moving but never too shocking or too predictable. Some of the 'touching' moments between the sisters created me wish to dry-retch a small but I have an incredibly sweet sister of my own so I can only imagine how unbelievable it would be to be so tightly bonded. Unfortunately for me, there are seven years between my older sister and I, and sixteen between my eldest and me so we barely got to live together, allow alone go through puberty together and I applaud the author for opting for sweet, rather than @#$%!y for the dynamic between all three of is story isn't over and I love that. I love how it ended, not a cliffhanger but with the promise of more, and I love reading a novel from a Korean girl's point of view because it's an absolute first for me. I loved the writing, the pacing, the surprises, the method it created me feel for her, the method it created me feel for everyone involved really, and I'll be getting book 2 the second I All The Boys I've Loved before isn't modern or risky, but it doesn't infantalize teenagers either and I admire how a story can be so sweet and yet so current. Sex is mentioned a lot but never taken too far, there are a few cuss words involved that were used in the excellent way, and it forces you to care for people without shoving it down your if you love the old Judy Blume and Caroline B Cooney novels of the 70's to 90's, read if you're a teen, read if you're an adult- just read and have your heart stolen :)
I know, I am I just now reading this book?!?!Although I loved the cover and heard awesome things about “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” by Jenny Han, I admit I was concerned the story would be a little…too young adult for me. However, the concept of the book drew me back in recently as i was browsing my bookshelf. I can’t imagine how things would unfold if every guy I wrote about had access to my journal entries about them…*cringes* Anyway, I’m satisfied I gave it a test because I’m far from disappointed!I absolutely loved the focus on family in Lara Jean’s story. Kitty is such a sassy and lovable small hero while Margo is so admirable. I don’t wish to give anything away, but I will say I found all the other characters to be likable in their own method as well….(outside of the poor Genevieve)This read may not be for everyone. There’s immature decisions and high school drama, but that’s to be expected considering Lara Jean’s age and the nature of the story.I’m already diving into book two in the series. If you search you’re enjoying it halfway through the book I recommend purchasing P.S. I Still Love You to have on standby. This one ends with a small bit of a cliffhanger!
I liked To All the Boys I've Ever Loved Before. It had a memorable main hero and a writing style that felt like it was genuinely written by a teenager. The dynamic between Lara Jean, her family, and Josh was something that I, the reader, could really obtain behind. This book is a YA rom-com that dreamy teens with no romantic experience can definitely relate too. However the character/ love-interest Peter, was something I just ...didn't like about the book. The story was doing a amazing job convincing me that people aren't always what they seemed (most of Lara Jean's mates thought that Peter was a jerk). I was finally starting to like Peter when the ending rolled around. Spoiler: Lara Jean' s reputation gets destroyed by a rumor and Peter did small to nothing to stop it. In total, even to the end Peter cared more about his reputation than Lara Jean' s. I feel like he's just a poor example of what a true amazing boyfriend should be. However I'm just a small biased because I had my suspicions about Peter confirmed. The book in total is very amazing except for the one chapter involving the rumor. I would still recommend the book to anyone who is apprehensive about "teen love".
This book takes awhile to obtain going. I was trudging through thinking, "Let me just finish this book and I won't read the next one," because I hate to not finish a book. But at about 60% (kindle), I suddenly was glued to my screen - suddenly invested in Lara Jean's rprisingly, this book is equally about Lara Jean's relationships with her sisters as it is about boys anyone loved before. It is heavily focused on how Margot and Lara Jean have become who they are and their dedication to their family from dealing with their mom's death when they were young. I don't personally have a sister, so maybe that's why I couldn't relate to this aspect of the Book; it was simply lost on ra Jean is neurotic and a bit of a goody two shoes, which for me created her very unlikeable. But as the story (finally) starts to obtain going, her interactions with her small sister and fake-boyfriend Peter bring out her charm. She's a doe-eyed amazing girl with a love of whimsy and a slightly mischievous side.I, however, did have fun the love... Venn diagram, I guess? There's a lot of she liked him, but he was with her, but now they're broken up, but now she likes this guy who still loves her ex best mate and she likes... Etc. It sounds exhausting when place that way, but it was never confusing and came together naturally. It was the most enjoyable part of the book for rating is: first half of the book two stars, latest half gets four, for an average of three. I'm definitely going to read the sequel. To All The Boys I've Loved Before starts slow, but develops into a sweet coming of age with massive dash of romantic drama.
The good: The cute story and evolution of their feelings is just adorable. Lara Jean and Peter begin a journey and the love triangle with Josh makes it e bad: The beginning of this book is so hard to read. It seems unnecessary and could almost have been place down into 2 chapters. It doesn't obtain better till about CH e epilogue: If you can create it past the first 15 chapters this is a really adorable high school romance.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before is one of my favorite books in the world. And it only came out this year. This story has everything to create it a unbelievable book and one I've already read four times. The sisterhood. Lara Jean, Margo and Kitty has a attractive relationship, and their dad is such an awesome parent figure. If I could steal any fictional parent, it would be Mr. sh or Peter?! Peter or Josh?! Which one?!I certainly can't choose, and Lara Jean's choices will hold you guessing till the end. But she's the sweet girl in the huge globe and it's a hero I see a lot of myself in. I would pay money cash to have a girl like her as my friend. And if I was a boy, I'd wish her as my fake girlfriend, too! Can Peter be mine?Thankfully Miss Jenny Han wrote a sequel to this unbelievable book. Don't forget to read Ps. I Still Love You.I give this book a VERY true FIVE STARS. Or something more Song Sister like...how about FIVE poodles? (Okay, normally people say stars, but since Kitty wants a dog so much and Lara likes her saddle shoes, it just fits!). I'd recommend for ages 13 and up, but people from high school to college and beyond are going to love it. I even created my mom read it! I cannot say enough amazing about this book. Quick, go out and GET THIS BOOK! You won't regret it.
This book is amazing!! I was hooked from the beginning and I love the characters and the the book was just down right entertaining.I will say this book had some surprises folding out! From the first 100 pages I thought I had it all figured out.Who likes her... Who she falls in love with... And who sent the letters...BUT I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG! With two of is book had me guessing, and I was just dying to know the ending!! UGHThe ending left me for more, and I seriously need the book now. (If only Amazon shipped quicker 😭)The things I did not like about this book:1) I don't like to read the F bomb. I don't know why, but I think that word is definitely uncalled for and does not need to be in a teen romance.2) I love the romance building up, by the end, I was so sad that feelings were damage and I missed the buddying romance she had with Peter and Josh. I was so sad, I wanted it all to come back. But that is it!! I honestly love these books!! And would definitely recommend it.
This is beautiful spoiler free. I don’t discuss anything that the summary doesn’t already allude to.I had a small bit on anxiety when starting P.S. I Still Love You. I adored To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before so much. This one had some huge shoes to fill and I created the mistake of reading the summary for this book. Another boy!? Noooo! Peter K. is all you need Lara Jean! I shouldn’t have fretted. I love the method everything unfolded.P.S. I Still Love You picks up right where the first book left off. Lara Jean has a lot of hero growth in this one. She definitely seems older and less naive. She’s a bit more adventuress and less goody-goody too. I loved her just as much. Her voice is just so endearing. You wish to be mates with her. Her family plays an necessary role in the book, too. I felt like everyone was a bit more developed and their relationships were even better this time around. Oh how I adore Kitty! I think she has created it onto my favorite characters list. She’s just so spirited and fun!Now for the worrisome part, the romance. Like I said, the summary gave me some major anxiety. Things go south very slowly for Lara Jean and Peter. It was a small heart-wrenching to witness. I definitely felt like their break up was justifiable. Lara Jean had every right to be mad and feel betrayed. I was all prepared to hate the other guy that comes into the picture, but I just couldn’t! He was charming and sweet and really liked Lara Jean. Sigh. Peter was always number one in my heart e ending felt a bit rushed and confusing to me. Peter had done some beautiful crappy things and I feel like he never fully owned up to them. Lara Jean took a lot of the blame and I don’t understand that. I also felt a small annoyed with Lara Jean’s confusion about why Genevieve stopped being mates with here. I thought that was explained beautiful well in the first book. Those were just little annoyances. I want that more time would’ve been spent on the ending, but I still really loved the book.P.S. I Still Love You was a unbelievable sequel. It was just as cute and fun as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I’m so satisfied that Jenny Han and the publishers listened to the readers and decided on a book 3. I would hate to see it end there. Plus, I just wish all the Lara Jean, Peter, and Kitty I can have.
Rating: 5 Stars When we left off Lara Jean had realized she still loved Peter and wanted to fix things. She had written five love letters and had received word from all but one. As she starts something true with Peter it becomes a bit more complicated as her other love and letter come into her life as Peter makes some decisions that don't sit well with Lara Jean. We see everything for the first time through the very distinct and quirky Lara Jean. Now this story has me hooked. I wish to know what will happen next for Lara Jean so badly. She is such a sweet and innocent girl who has all these dreams and ideas but is also satisfied in her comfort location and afraid to really step outside of it. This story really makes her step forward in a lot of ways. She is forced to be bolder than she has and take charge of her life. She is experiences a lot of various emotions all at once and for the first time which for anyone would be confusing. The method it is written is just so sweet and enduring that you obtain caught up in the whole of it and feel it all like it was event to you. Also can I just say how much I adore that she’s a baker because I do love that aspect of her character. She has mentioned so a lot of ideas that have now been added to my list to try. There were times when I was back and forth on what I wanted to happen. I admit to wavering at points given the info available at the given time. I wanted Lara Jean to search happiness and was caught up in every moment of this heartfelt story. I enjoyed this story so much that as I lay listening to this story around 80% through I had to go and buy the third book right then. Yep no waiting for an additional credit to be available or anything I just knew that when I finished this one I was going to wish to continue ASAP. And while things did resolve in the story enough that I had to begin the next one right away I still am looking forward to starting it this week. There is just so much going on with Lara Jean between her love life, family, and mates I am excited to see where things go for her. I can’t really discuss too much about the story because you should have fun it as it progresses but the characters were there. I got to see more with the sisters, the always late coffee spilling neighbor, the boys, and my favorite to learn more about were the residents at the retirement community. They had such diverse backgrounds and fun stories to discover plus being at their age they are set in their ways and able to say/do whatever they wish because why not. I loved the play off of them. I can’t wait to see how Lara Jean’s journey ends in the next book.
4.5 starsPlot: Five days after the happenings of To All the Boys I've Loved Before have passed and Lara Jean is feeling down and out. Luckily, Ms. Jenny Han chooses NOT to torture us dear readers and gets the ball rolling with more boys, more conflicts, and more life lessons. What I noticed about this novel was that Han focused more on the small moments in P.S. I Still Love You, and I instantly found myself transported to my high school days where I was (am) awkward and unsure about love. For all my Peter K fangirls (are there NOT any Peter K fangirls), I'm just going to say this: Jenny Han's got you covered. Don't aracters: Old faces from To All the Boys I've Ever Loved create appearances but have slightly various roles. @#$%!y Gen plays an even bigger role in P.S. I Still Love You than before while Josh is pushed to the sidelines. I really appreciated Lara Jean's commentary on relationships and growing older. Sometimes I would just have to laugh because it's unheard of for such wisdom to come from a 16-year-old. Fresh characters are introduced like the ever-sassy Stormy who brought a smile to my face with every e relationships and characters are what create this book something special. I found myself laughing and giggling like an idiot on public transportation, feeling like my heart was being physically ripped from my body, and then just feeling happy. Jenny Han's storytelling pulls you into the novel so that you feel like you're reliving these moments as Building: For a second, I thought I was a resident of Jenny Han's suburban Virginia. It's not that Jenny Han goes into a lot of detail regarding the locations that Lara Jean visits, it's just that it feels right. With just the right amount of pop culture references, Jenny Han has managed to bring her contemporary globe and characters to ort N Sweet: P.S. I Still Love You is a delightful follow-up to To All of the Boys I've Loved Before. You'll feel like you're reliving your teenage years and will wish Lara Jean and co to be your friends. Is it too much to ask for a novella or two?
After reading the first book, I knew that it was unique because I saw so much of myself in Lara Jean. I knew that I would cherish these books forever and I think that has to do with Jenny Han’s amazing writing. Her writing brought about these characters, the plot, the story, and the letters. One of my favorite things about this book are the small life lessons intertwined in Lara Jean’s story. I love that we obtain to go on her journey and see her learn these lessons and then apply it in her life. I love the ease of the writing and the conversations. I love the small tidbits of Korean culture that we learn. I love the value of family and friendship coming out of this book. The Covey family is my favorite. I love Kitty and I love their dad and it still breaks my heart in this book that they’re growing up without their mom. I actually cried a lot because of that.I love Peter Kavinsky. Even more: I love, love, love Peter and Lara Jean’s relationship. They are so adorable! I love how both have two various paths and stories but fate got them together. I love looking back and thinking, if it weren’t Peter who found Lara Jean after her vehicle accident in book one, who would Lara Jean be with? They obtain into the same arguments that they did in the first book, a lot about Genevieve. But I obtain it. I obtain both their sides. I understand why Lara Jean is so intimidated of her and why she’s constantly comparing herself to her and why she gets mad with Peter about it. Then, after finally learning more about Genevieve, I understand why Peter couldn’t just allow her go. I admire him for that actually. When I read the synopsis, I thought I’d hate John Ambrose but I didn’t. I like how he weaved himself in their lives again. I love that they wrote each other letters. I want Peter wrote Lara Jean letters too but I know it’s not his thing. I love how laid back John Ambrose was and how related he was to Lara Jean. The small love triangle — square if you contain Genevieve — was really between “Opposites attract” and “Birds of a Feather Flock Together” and I liked that. I liked how Lara Jean sorted through it all and was very mature about it in the end. You could really see her growth. She’s got more control with driving, with boys, with her family situation, and her maturity was much improved.
I'm so conflicted with the ending of this book. I was so angry at Peter throughout most of the book. Regardless of what he was helping Genevieve through, Peter was constantly neglecting Lara Jean's feelings. I also didn't feel like he did a amazing job "protecting" her like he claimed he would. While I was upset with Peter I still cried when they broke en we obtain more John Ambrose McClaren. Lara Jean and John are excellent for each other!💕💕 I especially loved the scenes from the snow & the USO party😍.Just when I thought we would obtain the excellent love story, Peter decides to throw down the gauntlet and gives Lara Jean her locket back in front of not good John. I'm just so torn with this ending. I'm satisfied Peter and Lara Jean are back together, but I would've loved to see John and Lara Jean together😣.P.S. 💌 Kitty was Awesome in this book. I'm so glad we got more of her!!!
I was a fan of the first book, so of course I had to read the second book and I was not disappointed. I again had moments where I screamed out loud in frustration and moments where my chest tightened again, which is a amazing thing. I have fun books that create me feel things. This book will have readers struggling to choose a side to be on, but allow me tell you I was loyal to one from the very beginning. I don't wish to provide any spoilers, but I love the moments with Peter in this book. I couldn't support thinking, where was a Peter when I was in high school? I enjoyed the continuation of the family dynamics in this book and I really liked that Laura-Jean became more self-aware in this novel and grew as a person. I also respected that Jenny Han decided to create this a duology. While I could read more, sometimes it is amazing to end things on a higher note. I have reread both books and I still love them both. I recommend this book if you enjoyed the first one. I also ordered the hard-copy of the novel and it came in the mail in pristine condition.
I can’t believe I won’t ever have the ‘First Feels’ again for this series, worse yet, I can’t believe there isn’t more! *Light tear shedding down my cheek*. I have fallen in love with Lara Jean’s character, I love her personality and her method of thinking. “Jenny Han please don’t allow it end here!” *Sobbing frantically at this point* The relationship between Peter & Lara Jean in this second book was very torn. I felt I sided so much with Lara Jean on several aspects, and when John Ambrose McClaren comes into the picture and he’s the kindest, sweetest, and most incredibly handsome, why not choose him?! Right?!It’s a tough decision for Lara Jean, thankfully, she has an awesome family who supports her and loves her. Not to mention, she’s excellent because of the easy fact that she can bake anything from scratch and it comes out PERFECT!It’s too early in the year for me to even mention this but I feel these two books will create the chop for ‘Best Books of 2016’.. But you have to stick around to see! Please, Please go out and pick up these books and read them as soon as it is humanly possible for you, I guarantee you will not regret it! ♥EG
As soon as I finished the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before audiobook, I had to obtain this sequel from the library. After the cliffhanger ending in the first book, I had to know what happened next in Lara Jean’s story. And Jenny Han did not disappoint. I gave this book 5 out of 5 two picks up where book one left off. Lara Jean is such a amazing main character, and Kitty was super adorable once again. I beautiful much devoured this book in two days after getting home from work. It was so amazing that I didn’t wish to place it down. Sure there were a few flaws, like Lara Jean’s naivety at times and the overall predictable plot, but the swoony romance among other things created up for ra Jean is a boy magnet kind of, what with Peter and the “boy from her past”. Honestly, I don’t think she could go wrong with either one. They both have amazing and poor qualities. But I still love Peter, even though he has some douchebag moments. He created me swoon in the first book, and he created me swoon some in this second book. I think this book was less focused on romance than the first book, or maybe it’s just because the romantic parts were split between boys that I felt that way. Hmm. Something for deeper thought. But the romance that’s there is super cute.A couple of my favorite lines: “Things feel like they’ll be forever, but they aren’t. Love can go away, or people can, without even meaning to. Nothing is guaranteed.” and “Why did God give me a mouth if I’m just going to say dumb items with it?”Final note: An adorable end to this duology. I can’t wait to re-read these books for years to come, both in print and via audiobooks. I’m positive you’ll obtain a kick out of Lara Jean (and Kitty), so read these books if you haven’t already!
Lara Jean’s love letters were never supposed to be read. When they were mailed out to the five boys, and the boys started approaching her, things got a small awkward. Especially as one of the boys she had a crush on was her sister’s boyfriend. Lara Jean and Peter, another one of the five, formed a deal to support each other. They pretended to date, but things soon started to develop between them. TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE was like a really huge hug—full of cute and I couldn’t wait to read its sequel…Since falling for Peter, Lara Jean figured all the love letter fuss was behind her, but one is still out there and she’s only just getting the reply. That paired with the drama of dating, ex-best friends, social media, and memes, Lara Jean’s life is changing a lot and she begins realising the other things that are changing around her too—like Margot being at college, the idea of her dad dating, and Kitty turning ten. Lara Jean’s getting used to having a boyfriend for the first time as well, and all the questions that come with that. And she’s dealing with more than one person liking her at once, finding herself in a bit of a head vs heart situation. There’s so much to this book, so a lot of layers, it’s just is is the type of story that makes you wish to shut out the world, obtain snug under a blanket and fall completely into it. I could sit and read it in one huge gulp. Lara Jean in an absolute delight. I’d never wish her to change, not for anybody. There were subtle, positive messages weaved into the storytelling, which is always a plus. I was very impressed by that. Also the food. This is a excellent summer read, but amazing for winter too—set around Christmastime, with snow and cosy food. Think cake. (Actually, latest Christmas Eve I baked some Lara Jean inspired cookies!).These books create me ridiculously happy. They create me think of being a child in summer, of first crushes, adventure and promise, of home, growing up, holding onto amazing memories, and the love and strength of family. PS I STILL LOVE YOU is utterly charming, and captures so much in its pages. Highly recommended
P.S. I Still Love You is the sequel to Jenny Haan’s first novel, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. If you are unfamiliar with the first book, it is about a teenage girl, Lara Jean, who lives with her dad and her two sisters. She had written a letter to every boy she has loved before, including her sister's (ex) boyfriend and her ex-best friend’s ex-boyfriend/the boy she had her first kiss with (basically a love triangle). These letters were kept a secret until they were sent out by someone (who I will not name at this point in time). The book talks about her blossoming relationship with one of the 5 boys. The first book ends on Fresh Year's Eve and the second book begins on Fresh Year’s Day. I love how there was no time break between the books and it picked up right where it left off. That aspect created this series even more is book, in my opinion, was better than the first. The story continued so effortlessly and it really kept me hooked. I loved how old characters from the first book were reintroduced in the second. Every page left you wanting more. **spoiler if you didn't read the first book** Lara Jean’s relationship with Peter is the main reason I couldn't place the book down. They went through so a lot of ups and downs. A fresh love interest is introduced in this book which really created things that much more interesting. I had a hard time deciding which boy i wanted her to be ere is one part of the book that to me is the moment where everything clicks for Lara Jean. She’s finally accepted the outcome of what happened and is ready to move on. It says “There’s a Korean word my grandma taught me. It’s called jung. It’s the connection between two people that can’t be severed, even when love turns to hate. You still have those old feelings for them; you can’t ever completely shake them loose of you; you will always have tenderness in your heart for them. I think this must be some part of what I feel for Genevieve. Jung is why I can’t hate her. We’re tied,” and it then goes on to say ***spoiler*** “And jung is why Peter can’t allow her go. They’re tied too. If my dad did what her dad did, wouldn’t I reach out to the one person who never turned me away? Who was always there, who loved me more than anyone? Peter is that person for Genevieve. How can I begrudge her that?” This was such a breakthrough for Lara Jean’s hero and I loved ere wasn't much I didn't like about the book. I’d have to say that my only issue with it was the end. I obtain that she finally came to terms with everything and she developed more, but it wasn't the huge romantic love stage I had been anticipating. I’m really hoping that the next book will pick up and I’ll obtain the huge romantic gesture I wanted.
Have you ever read a story where the protagonist's harshness towards one another, coupled with some immature mannerisms drove you to the brink of insanity, yet you could not stop reading the emotional train wreck of loving the poor boy?Gah- that is me with this Was. Flipping. Good.I loved it, hated it, created me sad, then I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room, but couldn't for fear of not being able to finish! This well-written whirlwind storyline that had me by the blood pressure cuff and squeezed throughout every dark, sexy, snarky, gloomy, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING moment is one I can honestly say I did not see coming and was a marvelous change of pace from other " poor boy " books I have read! I swiped the latest page thinking. Oh yeah- I wish more of that!Excellent!
Jo Raven once again proves she is the queen of torturing poor boys with Poor Wolf. Jarett and Gigi are awesome characters that pull you in with their delicious slow burn and hold you hooked until the very end.Jarett has had a poor begin in life and suffered more losses in his young life than most people do in their whole lifetimes. The one bright spot in his life is the girl next door, Augusta AKA Gigi. No matter how moody Jarett is Gigi brightens his days until she moves away. Years later their paths cross again and that spark between them is still there. With their lives going in various directions will Jarett allow in the brightness Gigi brings with her before the darkness consumes him? This book pulled at my heartstrings so hard. Jarett's story is heartbreaking and the more I read the harder I fell for him. Gigi's hero is awesome and I loved how large her heart and belief in Jarett were. Poor Wolf was an awesome and emotional read that reminded me once again why I love this author's work. I'm definitely looking forward to her next book!
Poor Wolf is Jo Raven's newest book in the Wild Men series. Its all about the family, Jarett trying to hold his and Gigi trying to create him apart of hers. He has always been her protector or safe feeling. She is his everything, all is right when he is with her. Rett just wants to hold a family and his promises. This is his journey to love and finding his family. Loved all the nods at small red riding hood throughout the story. Was surprised how it all turned out but glad that there were actual consequence to their actions. I know books are fantasy but it's always nice to have a true life feel to them. It was a painful journey but in the end they obtain their HEA. Love Jo Raven books. And this one was no different. Would I read this book again? Yes. Would I recommend this book? Yes. Can't wait for Merc story!
As always Jo writes a unbelievable read that keeps you hooked and makes you fall in love. Jarrett is one of my fresh favorite boys from Jo. He reminds me of the Inked Brotherhood boys. He would fit right in. A lot damaged, a small broken, heart in the right put and still a unbelievable guy underneath it all. Life has not been kind to my boy but happiness does exist. Gigi was various than I thought she would be. Not in a poor way, in a more sensitive way. Another favorite to add to my list of favorites from Jo!
This is fresh author to me and I will definitely be reading more of her. Boy meets girl next-door what could go wrong? It was a very engaging read and it hooked me from the beginning. Jarrett was broody by nature and is fiercely loyal with a very poor potty mouth. Gigi has a sunny disposition with a heart of gold. Demons chase Jarrett and who better to support him excise his demons than Gigi. I can’t wait to see what this author puts out next.
Jarrett is so simple to love, he's so tortured. By life, by circumstances. But then sometimes you search yourself screaming in frustration at him. Gigi too. Meeting in high school is one thing, but now neither is in school and Gigi certainty isn't prepared to see her high school crush again. Or how much he's changed. But the thing about poor boys and amazing girls, neither is what they appear to be.
I absolutely loved reading Poor Wolf by Jo Raven. I couldnt obtain enough of thus story once i started reading it. It held me completely captivated from the very first page. The story was exciting and has plenty of steamy scenes to hold you hooked. The characters were wonderfully written with an awesome bond between them. This is a fabulous read that you wont wish to miss out on.
This one was a bit of a slow build for me ijn the beginning but I quickly became hooked on the story. I really loved Jarett and Gigi. He's the risky poor boy and she's the girl next door. I really enjoyed the darker story and it was full of angst so there was never a dull is book was given to me at my request and I provided this review voluntarily
This book! I loved everything about it! The title truly fits Jarrett. Oh Jarrett! My heart broke more than once for him. He really had a hard life. Like Gigi, I wanted to play a million questions. I hated to stop reading, it was torture because I had to know what was going to happen next. Jarrett and Gigi have a long history. Their story is a fairytale from the heart.
I am a large Jo Raven fan. I have loved all her books so far and I really enjoyed this one has a talent for causing emotional torture to her characters and Jarret certainly had the tortured bit down. Let's just say I required is book is amazing and I definitely recommend it but ROOK is still my fave.
I received an ARC copy of this book. I have read and reviewed it, therefore giving my honestand voluntary is is the ultimate book in a strongly written series! Nash's storywill touch deep down in every reader as they connect with his story. A powerful military man who fought with himself to be better yet only to be decieved. Along his tumultois journey his meets his mate. Both were forced into a situation that cost them parts of themselves but gave them a lot in return. Along this journey you will see them both war for their lives. For the right to be and for their rights as mates. This novel is spectacular and truly I am satisfied yet sad to see it end. WHAT A SPECTACULAR ENDING!!! AWESOmE BOOK! AWESOME SERIES! FIVE STARS +
Nash’s story is another amazing addition to the alpha saga. A love meant to latest overcoming the pain of the past. The hero growth makes this the excellent story for the poor dad series and the alphas. I am looking forward to seeing what you lovely ladies will come up with next.
*I received an ARC for an honest review*Nash and Denali were a amazing couple and this is a 5-star addition to the series. It can be read alone, but a lot of references will be lost if you don't read the previous books. Nash's story has been hinted at throughout the series. I won't spoil the entire plot, but Nash is a lion shifter and Denali is as well. Nash has PTSD and is frightened of hurting his mate, but his lion will die if he doesn't search his mate, and soon. Fighting is the only method he can calm his lion. Denali is also hiding a secret- she had a "cub" as a effect of their one night together.I liked both Nash and Denali. The author(s) really do tortured character well. Nash's inner thoughts weren't overly angsty IMHO and while Denali was bada**, she wasn't over the top. Sometimes, I think authors mistake b*tchy for "tough." The cub was adorable and not "too old," but seemed to act age appropriately. It drives me insane when authors have 5 yr olds acting like teenagers in e action moved quickly and Nash's motley squad of mates who continually call him him "Alpha" offer some genuine comic relief. I loved how the small squad came together and was so adorably supportive of Nash and Denali getting together. The book moved and I really believed in the HEA at the end. I highly recommend this fresh entry into the series!
Nash and Denali's story was worth the wait. Well written book offers an engaging storyline and complex characters. Could be read as a standalone but for full enjoyment and understanding I would recommend reading all the books in this series in order. You will not be disappointed if you do. All the books are perfect reads. Both of these characters have plenty of baggage that helps make a very deep emotional story that is both strong and moving. Packed with drama, intensity, passion, heat, steam, action, humor, and sweetness. An awesome shifter romance that will hold you turning pages, as you root for these two to obtain the HEA they so richly deserve. I'm posting an honest, voluntary review of this book.
Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod.I freakin' loved this book, and this series. Lee Savino and Renee Rose are the Lennon and McCartney of this eir ability to weave a tale, invest the reader and hold him/her hooked until the satisfying end is incredible. I laughed, cried (big, fat tears), and cheered while reading this story in one sitting. Oh, and have I mentioned the sex scenes? Dayum.I loved the main characters, Nash and Denali, but I also love that the H/h from previous books in the series reappear, and we obtain to catch up with what's event with them.I'm already so excited for the next book!
I was so satisfied to search out that Nash was getting his story and “Alpha’s War” was a grand treat to read and I will confess to devouring it in one sitting, it was that good. If you’re fresh to the series, then I definitely recommend starting with book 1 (psst, there’s a boxset) and working your method up to story 7, it will create more sense that way. Promise. Finished? Excellent. You will love this story. It has all the makings of amazing storytelling complete with all the angst important to create Nash and Denali’s story that much more compelling and humorous (new dad alert!). Add in the underlying mystery that’s been threaded through the entire series, some serious alpha chemistry, and the three stooges (hee) and see what I mean? You wish to read this story.Out of all the stories in the Poor Boy Alphas series, I’m so glad to see that Nash has gotten his happily ever after. Of all the characters, his tortured soul deserves it the most and I might have sniffled a small in response.
I couldn't wait to read Nash's story with Denali. Finally after suffering the torture of the Data-Xshifter prison, Nash's lion is not doing well, he's been seperated from his friend for three years as Nash obtain weaker and his Lion gets stronger and taking over, Nash's PTSD keeps breaking nali has her own problems, her Lioness wants her friend but she must protect her cub at all ere are a lot of concerns to overcome but the bond between friends is powerful and Nash and Denalimust search a method to create their lives mesh while keeping their shifter part secret. The cub, Nolan hasto be protected and Denali fears that if she lets Nash in to their lives, he might leave and break Nolan'sheart if he learns that Nash is his father. We worry for the friends and are concerned over the kid thatreally has no idea how his parents came to be, all the while their freedom seems to be in jeopardy.I loved how hard Nash tried to be a amazing friend and father, he remembered things he learned aboutDenali while they were captives at Data-X and used that info to test and woo Denali and provehe did care. I hope we obtain to see more of the secondary characters in the future, there are enoughpeople/shifters for a lot of more Alpha books to come.I thank Renee Rose and Lee Savino for giving us this story of Nash and Denali, it was worth the wait.
.When I started reading I couldn't place it down I read the book in one day.Lee Savino and Renee Rose are magnifysent writers.I cannot wait to read more of there ep up the amazing should definitely read this book.
Love this book and the characters are fantastic! Nash and Delani and Nolan will capture your heart. I really liked how you obtain to see characters from the other books in the series and how they support each other out when a member of the package is in danger. It is a definite must read! You will not wish to stop once you begin this book. Time disappears as you read. One click yours today! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book and I purchased it!
Likeable characters that are well described. I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating. The twists and turns are aracters develop nicely through the story. Amazing chemistry and passion.A story about a second chance. About finding the one you always wanted to be yours. Coming back to take what you have missed. Trust, love, family issues, romance and twists makes this story an enjoyable is sold as a standalone and can be read as such but I recommend to read the previous because of references to those. Absolutely a series of awesome stories.
We see the globe through the eyes of a childlike man who has been imprisoned in a squalid house since birth, ignorant of and terrified by stories of the outside and completely reliant on his mother, who beats and makes love to him. We see him forced into the outside globe by the return of his parasitic and presumably itinerant father, who wants his put in the home again. This childlike man, Bubby, realises that the outside globe is not what he was created to believe it is and so begins his voyage of discovery. Through Bubby's eyes we can see a (slightly crazy) town from a naive perspective and it is this sense of wonder and discovery that defines the film. Bubby is not a clean slate, though. His past is extremely messed up and this is never forgotten in his characterisation. So he gets frustrated and mad as well as joyous and excited. The acting is phenomenal, it really is. This ain't Forest Gump, not to knock that movie but this is next level documtary footage tier. There's not much of a plot other than Bubby goes from A to Z via every stop along the way. He finds love and learns that it is all. There are a couple of incredibly touching scenes that are genuinely attractive and, as far as I can tell, not acted. It's a very philosophical movie and explicitly encourages an begin and critical mind in several scenes, An wonderful masterpiece in my eyes, with a lot of unforgettable scenes and several that you will not have seen the likeness of before.
