Joyfully His is a short and sweet read. If you've read the rest of the series, which I highly recommend, then you know that we are finally getting Andy's story. I've been wanting to know more about Andy since the first book in the series and I am so satisfied to finally obtain o years ago, Andy was driving under the influence of alcohol and accidentally hit a pedestrian. He is finally done with probation, trying to place the past behind him and pick up the pieces of his life. It isn't simple getting the trust of a little community back after what he did. He has always loved being a ski instructor and wants the possibility to prove himself worthy. His priorities have changed since the accident and he just wants to gain back the trust and respect that he kki has always had a thing for Andy but thought that he only ever saw her as his mate and coworker. He asks for her support in getting his job as ski instructor back and she is more than satisfied to help, partly because she feels responsible for what happened. She is Andy's boss and he know he can't afford another mishap. Nikki and Andy have always been close, but suddenly their friendship has shifted into something more. Andy needs a second possibility and Nikki is the excellent is was a story of forgiveness, redemption, and second chances. This is definitely a amazing mates to lovers romance that I highly recommend! I can't wait to see what the author has in shop for us next!

Joyfully His (Sterling Canyon Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-18 18:0

My Review:This is a fast satisfying small holiday read.Andy has been a well-known face in the series. He's the guy who drove drunk and almost ruined Grey's life (Grey was the character in one of the books in the series previously and is now married to Avery, Andy's twin sister.) So, anyway, Andy's been there all along. He's a guy who screwed up...but he's paid for that crime and is trying so hard to obtain on with his life...not so simple to do in this very little community. But the thing he misses most from his former life is being a ski instructor and working with Nikki. So he goes to her, hoping maybe now that he's served his time, he can obtain his old job works, but now Nikki is his boss...something that complicates him trying to pursue a relationship with her even more. For Nikki, she also has problems from that night Andy's life went to hell. She was there. She could have stopped him from driving like a responsible mate should, but she was mired in her own self-recriminations at what she saw as Andy's rejection of her. (She read him wrong...he's very much interested in her, but she'd had too much to drink that night to create sound decisions.)So, yeah...there are a few lingering problems between the two and that's even before they test to go into any sort of relationship beyond the amazing mates that they've always is was a fun small read. It takes put in a ski resort city over the holidays where there is dozens of new snow and skiing. As a result, the ambience of the book is fantastic. I liked both Nikki and Andy together. The book was short and it could have delved deeper and gone a bit longer because there are some serious conflicts between the two characters that could have been fleshed out more, but this is the excellent novel for a dark, winter night to obtain you in the mood for Christmas. It's short. It's sweet. And you only need a couple of hours to read it.Overall, I enjoyed it.I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Joyfully His (Sterling Canyon Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-18 18:0

I have been anxious for Andy's story. From the previous books you know his tragic past involving a night out drinking and driving and injuring Grey, but now we obtain Andy's side.Andy done something wrong, he knows that, he done the crime and completed his time.- yet others won't ever allow him move on. He is mired up in their judgment and feels his every move is watched -waiting for him to mess up again. Andy is vulnerable and wants their approval and acknowledgement that what he done was completely out of character, he is very remorseful and he can be forgiven. But come on- we all know that's not how people (most anyway) truly are. While Nikki has most always had a crush on Andy she has a hard time deciding if he is someone she can stick her neck out for and support him obtain his job back. While Nikki ultimately decides that she knows Andy is better than his actions of one not good night- one that she feels she could have been a mate and possibly encouraged a various outcome- does she truly trust Andy completely? While I enjoyed the twists and turns of the relationship between Andy and Nikki- and wanted to smack a certain manipulative ski bunny- I loved Andy's street to redemption. No matter who you think might be on your side, sometimes you search yourself alone and having to stand powerful to clear your name. Then you realize you must give that same understanding and forgiveness to others that you sought out when you were in their position. I guess I didn't so much identify with the love story aspect of this story as I did the overcoming problem and ultimate forgiveness.

This is a solid 4 star romance.I really like this series by Jamie Beck and have been waiting for Andy's turn at an metimes being in a little city has its disadvantages especially when people can't move on and forgive someone for past mistakes. No matter how hard he tries Andy can't seem to shed the stigma from his stupid actions and the DUI he had a couple of years ago that also injured Grey Lowell our character from the second book.He really wants his job back as a ski instructor so he decides to ask his old boss Nikki if it is possible. She gives him a possibility and seeing him again all the time reactivates her feelings for him and they act on that.Having a relationship with his boss definitely won't be simple so they decide to hold it quiet. Only something that happens stops the relationship from moving forward in any capacity and he loses his job because even Nikki seems to not take his word making her just like everyone n Andy convince everyone he is innocent of any wrong doing. Will everyone ever chop him some slack and see that he has long since redeemed himself for his prior poor behavior? Will he and Nikki be able to obtain past this and have a trusting and loving relationship out in the open? Or will Andy move away to obtain the new begin he deserves?Check this short but sweet book out for the answers. You will not be disappointed.

Joyfully His is Andy's story. It's short and sweet. If you are a fan of this series you will already know who Andy is. This story can be read as a standalone. Joyfully His (Sterling Canyon Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-18 18:0

I so enjoyed going back to Sterling Canyon and I loved Andy and Nikki's story. Two years after that fateful night that changed his life Andy is trying to place his life back on track. Personally he's created amends to the people he damage but professionally he's still trying to obtain back to where he was. People in Sterling have long memories though so getting them to move on isn't as simple as it sounds. Nikki Steele, his former boss and friend, may be the one person who can help. When he's given the opportunity to obtain his old job back he jumps at it but the fresh feelings he has for Nikki could be a problem. Will he work for the job or the girl??A wonderfully done story and I was so glad to obtain Andy's story. I think you'll have fun this one whether you've read the prior boos. It's notice of forgiveness and fresh beginnings is excellent for the season. I definitely recommend it.

A story of redemption & second chances. Andy created a mistake & paid dearly for it. After too much to drink, he got behind the wheel & ended up hurting someone. After serving probation, he's now ready to obtain on with his e'd been attracted to him for some time but she was his boss & didn't wish to ruin the relationship. She also felt guilty because she felt she should have intervened the night of his accident & taken his keys. Instead she ran & hid with damage feelings because he didn't acknowledge "the kiss". Can they obtain past this?A amazing story with well developed likable characters on a journey to a fresh life, this was a fast enjoyable read. The author managed to bring to life Andy's feelings of being under a microscope & how he dealt with it.

A amazing method to revisit the squad from Sterling Canyon. Remember Andy? He had a DUI and injured his future brother in law, well he still can't catch a break. Little towns never forget. Nikki, a long time friend, is willing to rehire him as a ski instructor. While trying to move on with a fresh job and fresh love, Andy comes across some stressful situations that place everything at risk. This was a fast read and a pleasure to obtain back to the ski city with the group of mates we know and love. My review was written voluntarily after reading an early copy from Netgalley.

Andy has been a secondary hero from the begin and I'm so glad he was able to finally obtain his story! Nikki and Andy were amazing together, the story really flowed together, previous problems were dealt with nicely. I would recommend this to family and mates as it definitely gets you ready for the holidays. You definitely won't regret reading this story!

Joyfully His is the fourth book in the Sterling Canyon series. This is a story of redemption and second chances. Andy is still trying to create amends for his past mistake, and now he desperately needs the job as a ski instructor. Nikki agrees to vouch for him, but her reputation is also at stake. Will Andy allow them both down, or will they search something worth forever? This story was really good, and I definitely recommend it.

Well, that is what I felt until I tried the awesome recipes in this book. I love the fact that this book has pictures of the various recipes. Even the children love the recipes from this book. They wish to support prepare the meals because they are so easy. It has become a fresh family favorite activity around the pressure cooking making meal together. Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

Let's begin with the cover...good Lord, that's a man who would dirty up an 18 year old and have fun every moment!Prepare yourselves... Trent and Edie's story is so much more than you have imagined. Their story is brilliant and compelling...and hot, Hot, HOT!!Trent is the absolute best and worst of the HotHoles, the excellent blend of them all. Cocky, yet guarded with his emotions, he's struggling to balance business dealings with being a single dad to an adorable small girl who's got problems of her own. Edie is a distraction he doesn't need, but one he definitely wants.Edie might be my favorite HotHole heroine-she's such a powerful and resilient character. She's young in age, but has had to take on family responsibilities that would break a weaker soul. She's unabashedly trying to take control of her life, going after what she wants and despite it all, she wants Trent.L.J Shen writes the most delicious love/hate relationships, and Scandalous has every bit of the angst and passion she does so well. One-Click this one as soon as you can! 💛

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

So a lot of unbelievable and positive words have been written in help of this author, this series and indeed this book..and rightly so.... I have come late to the party and I have nothing fresh or original to say... I loved this story and I loved every dysfunctional and emotionally stunted hero found within it’s pages...The two main characters are not excellent in fact Edie is particularly brattish at the begin and Trent is the most complex and closed off of the four Hotholes..but they are the products of their formative years and their faults create them seem more human and their imperfect relationship more genuine....and when the bigger picture is revealed it is the items hidden underneath that really matters..,I have been captivated by each one of the stories in this series but this final book and this final couple now keep a unique put in my heart.......and so we say goodbye to Jaime, Trent, Dean and Vicious and the women who brought light and love into their lives.... together this group are so much more than the sum of their parts and I shall miss them all..... Scandalous isn’t a sweet romance how could it be when the protagonists are so broken but it is a story of love, in all it’s forms, and it’s capacity to bring redemption, forgiveness, empowerment and acceptance to all those it touches.... I received an ARC from the author....

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

"Oh, God. He was such a sociopath. And I was in so much trouble."How on earth does she do it?? Every single time. Every single book. They hold getting better and better!!Scandalous is complex, emotionally riveting, and an intricately plotted work of art. It's thought-provoking and guaranteed to steal your heart. I was in tears at the end. #BestEpilogueAward. I always expect the unexpected with the Hotholes and Trent did not was a completely various experience. My reaction was more visceral and cerebral. Days later and I'm still thinking about the story---still thinking about the sacrifices these characters were willing to create for those they love. It's LJ's best writing to date. She had me all up in my feelings!"I always enjoyed the broken in the fairy tales better. The apple always looked shinier because I knew it could destroy me."What stands out most in this installment of the series, are the main characters. They're all broken. They yearn for something and those yearnings became my own. Any reader can relate to wanting the things they desire. Another standout were the relationships between different characters. They're all unconventional… perfectly imperfect. Folks, this isn't a cookie cutter, everyone is perfect, let's go skipping through a field of daisies type of romance. It's like true life... messy, unfiltered, and beautiful. The characters aren't average or typically and neither is their love. I don’t comment on the age or race difference because the relationship is as it should be, in my opinion. Love doesn’t discriminate."And I will never love anyone else the method I do you, because it's not about my age. It's about my heart."Now for the shocker...Evie is my favorite main character. I can identify with Trent-- his experiences, past, love for his family, beautiful much everything (except being a dude)! However, Evie stole my heart. She's powerful and resilient, mature beyond her years, and determined woman. Loved her!So, to sum up this long review...I really enjoyed Scandalous and highly recommend it to everyone. It’s a page-turner that is guaranteed to entertain fans of the series and fresh readers alike.

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

Forget the top read of the rget the top read of the ndalous by LJ Shen is the TOP READ of my LIFE.I have never read a book like this before. I have never been so addicted to a book before, while it engraved itself in my BLOOD. Scandalous swam through me, pulsed through the deepest parts of me and sent me to a WHOLE other IS is how a book should be IS is how a book should be IS is how a book should create you IS is how it's freaking DONE!The Sinners of Saint series is without doubt one of the best series out there. LJ has a method with words that just attack the mind, body and soul. She's also the BEST at writing really hot, alpha males that we shouldn't really like very much, aka Hotholes. In Scandalous though, for me, she wrote one of her most formidable HotHoles yet, with her BEST writing to date.I felt WAYYYY too much reading this book, so much so, that it's impossible to place WHAT I actually felt into proper words that create sense, but I'm gonna try. It created me CRAZY. ADDICTED. OBSESSED. As words coursed through my veins, emotion clogged my throat, and angst, angst ripped apart my heart and demolished my soul. Cover to cover my whole body was TINGLING. My stomach was TIGHT and yet, somehow, FLUTTERING, uncontrollably. My heart, SCREAMING, ACHING, POUNDING. ndalous, is raw, gritty, fierce and chock full of filthy, forbidden lust, hottttt, intense passion and need. #thatfirstkisstho! Trent and Edie are ugly and raw and filthy, yet somehow utterly irresistible. (Yes I borrowed a line, it makes so much sense). Their connection is OFF THE CHAIN. They are an explosion, their push and pull, risky but all consuming! I fell for them both, together and as individuals. They rocked my ere isn't really anything more I can say at this point bar, read it! If you're looking for a book that will hook you, grip your heart and soul, steal your breath, while it sets you on fire, then this is your book. If you're looking for a book written stunningly with seamless perfection, and so much creativeness, this is your book. If you're looking to be owned and all together consumed by the best book EVER, then this, THIS RIGHT HERE, is your book! There will never be enough stars to ever do this book justice. They simply don't accommodate for books as breathtaking and as brilliant as this. It's most definitely, one of a kind!

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

Ok. So I have no true words for my review other than this story is pure angsty illicit sexual emotional madness, and I loved every bit of it.Edie is like this mermaid who is trapped on land, the land being her father, and can only obtain so far in the ocean. She loves the ocean even though it's rough and unpredictable. Can you guess what Trent is? Yes... he's the ocean. They just fit. Even if it may be reluctantly at first. Trent is a business partner with Edie's poor father who hates him. Then you throw in the fact that Trent is a single father to a daughter who is a selective mute. Edie has a ton of secrets going on at home. Their lives are just a mess honestly. Luckily they both like it l in all if you like age gaps, single dads, angst, illicit romances, seahorses, the ocean, HotHoles, and hate to lovers who are so intense. Then this is the read for you.

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

How does LJ Shen create these Hotholes so darn irresistible!? By all accounts, we should loathe and despise these kings of Todos Santos, but somehow they burrow themselves under our skin and into our souls. Scandalous is book 3 in the interconnected standalone Sinners of Saint series. Though you don't need to read the previous books to have fun Trent's story, it would probably be more fulfilling if you did since the characters from the previous books appear and that's where we are introduced initially to Trent (and Edie).I'll be honest. I wasn't initially sold on the idea of 33 year old Trent and 18 year old Edie. I readily admit that age isn't a factor in life's huge picture, but it was still hard for me to wrap my mind around these two at first. I thought LJ Shen did an wonderful job wading through the layers of taboo and stigma, to really showcase this unconventionally excellent pairing. Edie may only be 18, but she carried herself and often showcased the maturity of someone much older. Trent also did not always feel like a 33 year old single father. It was simple to forget how old they both were when you were immersed in their connection. And holy hell, did they have a connection!Like the other books in this series, LJ Shen wove in some amazing twists and turns I didn't see coming, that really brought the story full circle. This was an emotional and multilayered story that addressed problems such as race, privilege, mental illness, and abuse. It wasn't a rainbows and unicorns love story and I think that's why it works so well. It's gritty, raw, and at times painfully honest, but underneath that, it's also sweet and tender. I loved the overall notice that you (individually or as part of relationship) don't need to conform to societal norms or expectations. Sometimes we search happiness where we least expect it and the only opinion about a relationship that matters is that of the people in it. The epilogue was unbelievable and perfectly imperfect, but of course I would also love to see what's going on further into the future. Catching up with the other Hotholes and their Totholes was awesome and I really hope that this isn't the latest time we visit Todos Santos!

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

Read on behalf of Two Darlin Dolls and a Book Review."Even the largest wave crashes. You’re about to hit the sand. I hope you like the taste of dust.”Scandalous is a beautifully written book that will have you feeling all the emotions possible. I love all LJ Shen's books but I honestly believe that this one is her best work yet."LOVE IS MERCILESS. Love is cruel. Love is not a feeling, it is a weapon. Love destroys."Trent Rexroth is a gorgeous, arrogant and tortured single dad. They call him the mute for a reason, he is definitely someone you don't wish to cross. His only concern is his precious daughter, Luna. He is the latest HotHole to obtain his story told. My impression of him from the previous books was that he is the calm one however that is not the case at all.“I should warn you, Edie. I’m not the prince in this fairy tale. I’m the villain. The poisonous apple, the flame-breathing monster.”Edie Van Der Zee is a attractive confident, feisty, [email protected]#$% surfer who has a warm and caring heart. She may be young, barely out of high school, but she has an old soul and is wise beyond her years. Dealing with her own problems she is thrown into another difficult situation by someone who should be protecting her."I hate this place, I hate these people, I hate this life…"I admired how perfectly imperfect and broken all the characters were. The pain and struggle they go through to protect their loved ones is strong and proved how truly powerful they are. They are a biracial couple and I loved how it wasn't overlooked or strictly focused on. There was the right amount to balance it out seamlessly."My daughter was attractive and the globe was ugly and I didn’t know how to support her. And it killed me like cancer. Slowly. Surely. Savagely."Vicious is still my love but I will not lie, Trent definitely gave him a run for his cash and comes in at a very close second."Because while Vicious created a lot of noise, Trent Rexroth was the silent hunter who would circle you for hours, striking when you least expected it. A desolate panther. Wild, quiet, and slick."The epilogue was flawless and I couldn't have asked for a better ending. If you haven't read Sinners of Saint series I absolutely recommend it. You will not be disappointed."I’m his tide, and he’s my anchor. Or maybe the sand itself."

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

L.J. Shen did an awesome job creating such beauty in stories full of chaos, heart break and tragedy. And Scandalous was no different. What initially grabbed my attention for Scandalous is the cover. The cover shows a man who knows what he wants and it shows a man who is in control at all times. You can tell he will work overtime to accomplish what he sets out to and does not give a crap about stepping on you to obtain there. And the fact that he is gorgeous also helps that argument.Outside of Vicious, Trent is definitely my favorite HotHole. There is something to be said for the quiet, yet deadly type of alpha and Trent has everything a woman is looking for in a man. On top of being rich and sexy, he cares hard and loves fiercely. And when he is loyal, he is loyal to a fault. What I loved most about Trent's story, was getting to know the man behind the "Mute" reputation. Trent is a man who is trying to be the best father he can to his attractive 4 year old daughter Luna, who is not having the easiest go at life either. Trent, being the amazing dad he is, goes above and beyond to test and create her life as smooth sailing as possible. All he wants is for his baby girl to talk to him and to see her smile, but like her father, Luna only talks when she has something to say. Unfortunately for the Trent, that’s not very often. But Trent is used to overcoming a struggle. Being a half black teen in a predominantly white community shaped his outlook on life and his future. He worked his butt off to obtain the wealth and respect he currently has. He grew up with humble beginnings and loving parents was something out of the normal in the little city of Todos Santos, so Trent showed his appreciation and gave his parents the life they couldn't afford to give him. And how can you not love a man with his kind of family value? Everything in his life has gone according to plan so far, until it's doesn’t. And I guess he has 18 year old Edie Van Der Zee to thank for that.Edie is a broken soul. She grew up with a lifestyle that most would slay for, but she absolutely despises the wealthy. How can she not, when wealth has done nothing but screw her over? In this instance wealth is known as her piece of crap “father” who likes to flaunt and toss cash around like the @#$% grows on trees. All Edie wants to do is surf, protect the family she actually cares about and live her best life. Which is kind of impossible when her dad wants to see her suffer. Then she has an unfortunate run in with Trent Rexroth, and life as she knew it takes an unexpected turn. What starts off as a bitter first impression, quickly turns into bitter love affair. And I don’t think either one of them were ready for scribing Trent and Edie’s relationship in ocean terms was perfection! These two fell into an oceanic abyss and were borderline obsessed with each other from the obtain go, whether they wanted to admit it or not. They came crashing together like two battling waves and it was attractive to watch. Their developing love was fierce, it was raw, it was rough, but it was real! Of course it didn’t begin off that method and the build up had me biting my nails, but once they collided, they frickin collided!Scandalous, like a wave, flowed so perfectly even when it didn’t. I feel as though everything fell into put right when it was supposed to. But the build up to these moments was nerve wrecking to say the least. I’m super impatient, so I wanted everything to hurry up and obtain there just to feel the satisfaction of people getting what they deserved. Unfortunately, I know that if things happened my way, I wouldn’t love the story the method that I do. So maybe I should shut it and leave the writing to the actual authors and stay in a bloggers place.Overall, Scandalous is phenomenal! Trent and Edie’s story makes you appreciate life, love and family. Whether you grew up rich or poor, like myself, you realize that having materialistic things does not matter. You realize that everybody has a struggle, be it for cash or family love and affection. Their story showed me that regardless of any situation, as long as you have someone to willing to catch you when you fall, how can you lose? Scandalous created me realize that if I wish to be strong, do yourself a favor and one-click Scandalous RIGHT NOW! And if you haven’t started the Sinners of Saint series yet, obtain on that shit NOW! You will thank me later, so you’re welcome!

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint Book 4) [Book]  2017-10-13 21:14

If you wish to be powerful - be.'This is a book that you need to read completely uninterrupted because once you begin it is incredibly hard to stop reading. I was lucky to be able to do that, it was like flying across the dateline because before I knew it I had lost an entire day! This was such an exciting, exhilarating, emotional and sexually charged read. Not my usual single dad story that is for sure! Trent Rexroth is young, successful, self created and extremely smoking hot. When he walks into a room, everyone notices him but he is not the sort of man you wish to cross though. He has only given his heart away once in his life and that is to his attractive daughter Luna.'I wanted to present her that the globe was a beautiful, frightening put worth experiencing. That peasants could be crowned kings if they worked hard enough, and how her daddy was living proof of that.'Luna’s mother left them both when she was still a toddler and not long after that Luna stopped talking. Despite lots of therapy she hasn’t uttered a word in two years and shows small emotion. When Edie Van Der Zee walks into their life, Trent was not prepared to firstly cope with his daughters interaction with her and secondly the method his body reacted to her. He had ‘encountered’ Edie prior to her coming to work at the company he part owns and let’s just say that he has every reason not to trust her.Edie is very much under her father’s thumb. He is a womanising adulterer and her mother deals with it by drowning herself in alcohol and prescription medication. Edie favourite thing to do is surfing, not much gets in the method of her time on the waves and it’s the only put she really feels at peace in the world. And her father hates the fact that she enjoys it, it’s not an activity that he wants his daughter or family name attached to – photo is everything.Edie is fiercely independent and has denied herself access to her fathers wealth. However, she has one weakness and her father loves to exploit it. For that reason, she has agreed to come and work for him but there are conditions, there is something he wants and Edie has been tasked with getting it for ent Rexroth oozes sexiness and Edie is not immune to his pheromones. She knows she shouldn’t be thinking of him in that way, she is only 18 and he is 33 but any woman in close proximity to him would search it hard to escape feeling this way. Therefore it is inevitable that these two would fall into bed together and it is hot, not your usual hot, it’s f****** hot.'I wanted to obtain wet and allow the tide wash over me without dipping a toe in the ocean. I wanted what was forbidden, and wrong, and f****** crazy.'What was supposed to be a one off thing seems to have turned into a crazy addictive habit. Edie is wonderful with Luna and seems to be able to pull emotions out of her that Trent hasn’t seen for a long time. She has impacted both of their lives in very various ways. She also challenges Trent and is wise beyond her years, I guess that happens when you grow up in the family she has. However, Edie has a job to do and betraying people she cares about is the only method to obtain what she wants from her father.‘I should stay away from you, but I wish you too f****** much. And when it’s all over, when all that’s left of us is sweaty flesh and shattered minds and torn hearts, you will remember me as the man who created you cry, and I’ll remember you as the girl I had to break to stay afloat.’This was such an incredibly addictive read, there is so much event and a bit of mystery carefully weaved throughout the story. It was forbidden, sexy and I simply inhaled every page!

I was sucked in with the prologue and knew I was going to hug and love elia was a lovely girl, and the excellent girl for him. Past and present. Their story is amazing yet sad.Aaron had an poor childhood. I can't even summarize or pretend but to grow up like that ... and also be compared to the boys his Mom gave away. e book was excellent :)Except ... I didn't obtain HOW Trey wouldn't know what town his bio mom and brother lived in. He would know that name. He would know Amelia was from there. I didn't obtain how he wouldn't create a connection and at least ASK her?! He was a douche.(I do wonder if the brothers will obtain books. Their wasn't a lot about them but we were teased in a way.)

The Other Brother (The Binghamton Series Book 4) [Book]  2017-11-13 18:0

Barely 3 stars for me ,again I really loved Twisted Twosome, it was so amazing , plausible, laugh out loud funny, just a amazing RomCom unfortunately I didn't feel the same about The Other Brother. I loved and felt for Aaron, the stage in the hospital and especially with him wanting stairs, I could so feel and relate to his emotions and at that moment Meghan Quinn was writing at 5 star reading for me personally , it really pulled on my heart string but that was the only time I felt much of anything and that was so disappointing. The rest of the story just kind of fell emotional flat , a bit hard to believe and lacking depth.I mean these brothers know about each other yet they have no relationship at all , she said to her boyfriend where she is from and her ex boyfriend Aaron broke her heart and yet Trey doesn't place this e back story of these brothers, plus the other one is only barely told , they appear to be from the same parents yet the story never goes into amazing detail about any of this necessary storytelling information, I mean Aaron goes to spend a week with his brother Trey as a teenager and only refers to it as the "worse week of his life " but the author never explains why , why was it ?????? it would have created a difference if we knewwhy , felt more emotionally and knew all the answers to the questions Aaron wanted to know about his mom's choices. It just got weird ,even the whole relationship with Amelia and her dad , I mean she only lives 3 hours away yet she never visits him than finally decides she needs to go back home to live by her daddy , and her sister is 20 years older than her yet is barely mentioned in the book no relationship what so ever so why even mention her ? .It was such a detached read and silly ,not really a romcom because of Aaron's life story and Amelia 's parents story because it was heartbreaking yet it was handled in a very juvenile method , just not what I was hoping for from Meghan e definitely missed the tag for me with the half emotional in, half emotional out read .It's like she couldn't decide if she wanted a touching ,feeling book or a silly predictable book , seriously how a lot of times have readers been told "I broke up with you because I didn't wish to keep you back" ," I allow you go and broke your heart in a selfless act to support you reach your goals " , so very overwritten storyline, just no enough of that , this book deserved more , because seriously the part about Aaron and the stairs could have and should have been the begin of a emotional and endearing read and it just didn't happen very unfortunately.

The Other Brother (The Binghamton Series Book 4) [Book]  2017-11-13 18:0

Going into this one I have to say I had a feeling Aaron, aka Smalls, was going to be my favorite in the trio of mates we have come to know and adore. I always seem to fall for the guy in the background we don't quite obtain to know in previous books and The Other Brother proved me real Meghan fashion this book has it's excellent moments on humor that hold the story somewhat light in an otherwise tense story line. When Amelia moves back to her hometown to take care of her father she never expected that her fresh next door neighbor would be no other than the guy who crushed her heart a few years ago. And well, Aaron never thought the fresh girl on the road he was handing over a key to would be the girl he never stopped om heartbreak to insecurities that have been driven into Aaron all his life can Aaron and Amelia search their ways back to each other or has too much hurt been done? The Other Brother is the excellent second possibility romance filled with several surprises and gut wrenching moments balanced out by sweet and caring moments that present us just how much love these two have for one another But does love really defeat all?

The Other Brother (The Binghamton Series Book 4) [Book]  2017-11-13 18:0

The Other Brother by Meghan Quinn took its toll on me in a few ways; the hero’s childhood and adolescence was hard to come to grips with, the heroine’s plight with her father hit a bit too close to home, and while I was truly satisfied for these two to reconnect and obtain together and there was no physical cheating, I did feel like there was emotional cheating which to me is just as bad. I had to really work to finish this book and that’s a first for me from this author and I’m glad I did [email protected]#$%!, but I know this isn’t a book I’ll read again. This was an emotional story on a lot of levels, at times I felt it dragged on and on, there were times where I felt things were rushed, there were problems left unfinished, but I did like these two characters and their connection was undeniable.Aaron can’t believe when the only woman he has ever loved moves into the house next door to him and the one he is managing for the homeowners. More than that he can’t believe she’s more attractive than ever or the hate in her eyes he sees when she looks at him. Amelia is stunned to realize that Aaron in her fresh neighbor and while she intends to steer clear of him after all she has a boyfriend back in the city, but with each passing day she is reminded of why she fell in love with Aaron all those years ago.I appreciated that they immediately didn’t fall back into a relationship; that Aaron had to work to build trust after breaking Amelia’s heart (and his own). Yes, I think Amelia had every right to be upset even after Aaron explained why he did it because he created a crucial decision about HER life without discussing it with her. It was simple to see that he was regretful, that he never really got over her and that while he wanted her again he wasn’t going to force the issue. He was willing to be her mate and allow nature take its course, where I had problem was as Amelia’s feelings for Aaron began to resurface as she began to remember the kind of guy he was back then and the man he’s grown to be, she continued her relationship (albeit long distance) with her boyfriend, Trey who was back in the town working hard. She never told him that her ex-boyfriend was her next door neighbor, she never once mentioned they were working on a volunteer project together, or that she spent time with him and while she complained about him not texting or calling her often enough, she was already distancing herself emotionally from him. Honestly, it was all kinds of messed up especially since Aaron knew Trey but never told her he did.Aaron had some huge time problems stemming from his childhood and his relationship with his mother and it bled over into his relationship before and now with Amelia. I hated that despite how well he has done for himself, he always felt “less than” because of the things his mother would say to him. I applauded when he stood up to her finally, but I also felt like there was unfinished business that he should have really had it out with her once and for all and explained how he’s felt all his life.Overall, I liked The Other Brother and appreciated that it was an emotional story, but it had too much drama and angst for me to love copy provided for a voluntary review.

The Other Brother (The Binghamton Series Book 4) [Book]  2017-11-13 18:0

The Other Brother by Meghan Quinn4.5 stars!!!“I’m the one she couldn’t give up. Only, I kind of want she did…”Meghan Quinn never fails to deliver, whether it be her hilarious rom-coms or her heartfelt contemporary romances. I didn’t know what to expect with The Other Brother, the title led my brain totally down the wrong path as I went into this book completely blind. What I got was unexpected, emotional, heartfelt, stunningly attractive and one of the most special second possibility romance stories I have ever read. Don’t forget to read the dedication at the end, it pulls this whole story together and will have you sweaty eyed in no e Other Brother regales us with the story of Aaron or Smalls as he is known to his two friends, Tucker and Racer. In Tucker and Racer’s books (Twisted Twosome and My Best Mates Ex) the Aaron we came to know had a large heart, was quite quiet yet incredibly intriguing. I had eagerly been anticipating his book, each one has been totally various and yet when this trio are together their commonality and deep-rooted friendship is apparent for all to see. The banter and the high jinks when these three are together will have you laughing out loud, especially when anything from Debbie’s is thrown into the mix, but at the heart of this story is one man that you will take deep into your heart and soul, one that you will wish to hug and nurture, one where you will be itching to eradicate the pains of his past, one man who you will desperately wish to shine.“…from as far back as I can remember, I’ve always been the other. The other friend, the other employee…the other brother. For once in my life I wish to be the only.”Your childhood is one of the most necessary periods of your life, from creating your own personality, your individuality and your confidence. Your childhood shapes your adulthood and your parents are the ones that are supposed to present you the way. When this process is incredibly flawed the repercussions can be dramatic and for Aaron that childhood was still haunting him. Aaron was incredibly self-deprecating, he truly didn’t appreciate his worth, he place himself at the bottom and everyone else above him, even if that meant sacrificing his own happiness. Aaron had a large heart, when he loved, he loved hard, completely devoted. I simply adored him, and I desperately wanted him to search that complete devotion in return.“The harder you love, the harder you fall.”Amelia is back in city to look after her ailing father. Renting a house in a community close to her father’s care home Amelia is shocked when she finds her fresh neighbour is her first love, the one that she has never got over, the one that permanently broke her heart. Fate has a method of showing us the method and the fact that their paths cross once again is not coincidence. The connection that these two have is so strong, even after all these years and a lot of water under the ghan Quinn delivers a story that will have you rapt from first to latest page as the past and show of Aaron and Amelia comes to life in all its heart-breaking and heart-lifting glory. The emotion as ever was on point as you cannot support but take these characters into your heart. Aaron, as I said above was adorable in every single way. He was selfless, he lifted the lives of so a lot of people despite the stagnancy of his own. Aaron always felt the need to prove himself and yet he couldn’t see just how well loved, appreciated and invaluable he had become. The relationship between Aaron and Amelia’s father had me in tears at times as Meghan Quinn touches on ere was nothing not to love about this book. The writing as ever was spectacular. That trademark humour prevalent throughout with tears of laughter accompanying those sneaky tears of emotion. The hero connection was perfection, between both basic and secondary and the story was compelling and unputdownable. Another champion from Meghan Quinn.

    Haunting Danielle: Books 1 - 4 [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

This is a unbelievable deal on a amazing series! I actually bought and read the four books separately, but I will say, I bought and read all of the books after #1 as soon as they have ben released. I normally have them pre-purchased!What is nice on this series, you could read any of these as individual books without loosing out on background information. However, I have enjoyed seeing the development and growth of each of the key characters from book #1 through the current one, to the point, they almost feel like is is what I would call an enjoyable, lighter, romantic paranormal story line with a touch of comedy to it. At this price, it is a definite must buy and read!

    Haunting Danielle: Books 1 - 4 [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

I just love this series. I started from the beginning and pre-ordered each book thereafter. What a amazing price for the first 4 books together!! The characters in this series are wonderful. You can't support falling for them and then continuing to read as they change and relationships alter and grow. Unbelievable plot lines that all contain most of the main characters (which is unusual and appreciated - I just love it when you can stick with characters you like and have them in fresh scenarios - with add-in characters of course.) I would highly recommend this series to anyone even teens! Very G to Pg13 rated - which is also very refreshing - yet you don't feel like anything is lost in the Romance Dept. It's just nice, fun and family friendly!! I can't wait for my next pre-order which is coming soon!

    Haunting Danielle: Books 1 - 4 [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

The Haunting Danielle series is wonderful. I read these first four as singles. To obtain them at this price is a really amazing method to test something new. I was tired of all the items I was reading so went on a find and found the first book. I said hmm I like ghost and everything spooky. So I bought the first one and gave it a try. I had it done that first night. I then started binging on the rest of the series lol. I always stay up and wait for the fresh book to hit my kindle and read as much as I can and then pre order the next. I really have fun the method Dani is written. From when we first meet her and everyone else you feel like hey these can be true people in a little city in Oregon. All the fun and excitement Dani gets into with the support of the spirit globe is gripping and page turing. You can read each book over time or just go on a ghost binge. This is the best method to begin you obtain all 4 of the first books. In each one you obtain to know and understand Danielle and Walt and the cast of friends, family, animals and ghost along the way. You search yourself drawn into this globe and fully loving it and needing to see what comes next. Danielle is a strong, pretty woman who is finding her method in this fresh life and it is alot of fun to go on this ride with her. I think you will have fun the mystery, the fun, the love and not feel over whelmend by any one part. Everything is clearly written and people of all ages can enjoy.

    Haunting Danielle: Books 1 - 4 [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

I thoroughly have fun reading supernatural novels. I must say from reading the first book in this series I was hooked. I could not place the book down. As soon as I had finished the first book I immediately bought the second in the series and I was not disappointed. I then bought and read the third and then the fourth. The description of the characters and the method they appear in each book, though with a various storyline, and the method they think is very clever. These books are full of spookiness, drama, and intrigue and I can’t recommend them highly enough. If you have fun a amazing read then test these books, you won’t be disappointed.

I can’t say enough unbelievable things about the Haunting Danielle Series, and the fact that the first four books are bundled together at such a low price is definitely a amazing deal. I bought and read the first book without knowing anything about the series. I loved the mystery, the paranormal aspect, and the weight of the writing itself; this is not a flimsy one-dimensional mystery. I subsequently bought and read the next books in the series, and now pre-order each one as it comes out. The characters have each grown and developed in ways that I couldn’t have predicted, and each mystery is a story unto itself. A unbelievable series.

I read these books separately and would definitely encourage anyone to purchase this bundle opportunity! This is a amazing paranormal series, no blood and guts or profanity. It does remind me a bit of the old B&W film and more latest television series The Ghost and Mrs Muir! I have so fallen for Walt (The Ghost). Well written with plenty of mystery.

    Haunting Danielle: Books 1 - 4 [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

I started reading this book earlier this year and just love this series!!! I started with book 1 and never can wait til the next book is out, like now impatiently waiting for Dec 22 when book 15 arrives. This is an amazing ghost story with murder and mayhem rolled in that has you crying or laughing so hard. Some of the things these ghosts do to Danielle are so funny, I could' t stop laughing, like a ghost outside her window making faces at her, really!!! So awesome. When reading these books the people are so lovable even some of the ghosts that come and go, you think of them as a huge family. If you love blood and guts this is NOT the series for you, but if you don't like all the twisted things that people do, this is the books for you. Even your 12 year olds would have fun these books. Yes murder and mayhem is in these books but nothing bloody just amazing reading!!

I love this series! This is a unbelievable deal, definitely worth grabbing it while you can. Like other reviewers I also read these four as stand-alones, got hooked on #1 and now pre-purchase on the rest. I will warn you though, this is a long series, we’re currently at #14 with #15 expected out shortly. However I think they’re worth the investment. There are no cliff hangers, you can binge read them or simply buy them as you have funds - I’m always excited when one shows up on my kindle, and did binge read the first 5 or e focus is definitely on the mystery aspect, helped along by ghostly knowledge, well written and occasionally quite gripping. But mostly it’s about friendship - between men and women, animals and ghosts (sorry! spirits) and a very little tinge of romance.I love Bobbi’s writing and am excited to see how this series grows.

I absolutely love this series! I have purchased and read all of the books individually. They can be read as standalones, but once you read the 1st book, you will wish to read the entire series. They have humor, mystery, and a few ghosts. Who doesn't like ghosts? Especially one like Walt.I am anxiously awaiting the 15th book to come out on the 22nd of this month.

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

I’ve yet to read anything by Lani Lynn Vale that I haven’t loved. It’s a rare thing when there isn’t at least one book that I don’t like in an author’s catalogue—especially one with as a lot of novels as Vale has written—but that’s where I am with Lani’s work. Vale has grown tremendously as an author since her first release. She’s taken some risks, she’s stepped out of her comfort zone, and all of that experimentation has paid off in her latest few series where she’s gone back to her romantic suspense roots commingling her special sense of humor with new approaches to her writing, steamier romances and exciting fresh plot e Hail Raisers series, though, just seems to obtain better with each book, and that’s really saying something because each book in this series has been fantastic. What the Hail is the fourth book and an exciting romantic suspense story with a heroine on the run from her past. Long-time Vale readers will recall from her first series, Freebirds, the men of Free and the work they do helping abused women escape their lives by giving them fresh identities and relocating them. Lark is one of those wn on her luck, Lark isn’t having an simple time of it settling into her fresh life when meets Baylor, who’s dealing with his own issues, as he’s towing her car. This couple had that instant spark of chemistry, but skittish Lark, while definitely attracted to Baylor, isn’t simple to give her trust. Baylor was patiently persistent and earned Lark’s trust by breaking down her walls a brick at a time. Once this couple got on the same page, though, they were magic together.A swoon-worthy, sexy romance between two people who were meant to be together coupled with Vale’s laugh-out-loud humor and an exciting suspense plot full of surprises created What the Hail a special and unique love story in a series full of them. Five smooches from me for What the Hail by Lani Lynn Vale!

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

I flipping love Lani Lynn Vale everyone of her books draws me into it's clutches and doesn't allow go until I obtain to the words THE END even then these stories stay with me well after that . If you haven't read a book by this author you need to right away I suggest that you begin with the Freebirds series first because alot of those awesome characters are mentioned throughout every LLV series . As said before every time I obtain my hands on a LLV book I devour it with What the Hail I felt the same maybe even more so because I've always been intrigued with what the Freebird men do and to read a story from a birds perspective and glimpses from Sam the man that had Lani Lynn Vale on my favorite must read authors . You can read this as a standalone but I suggest that you at least read Burn in hail first or the series in order well worth the binge read time (wink) . Baylor and Lark create appearances throughout the series manly book three you can feel the sexual chemistry between them , I was so excited for them and to know their back stores and wasn't disappointed . The couple are one another's other half both have scars on the inside and out they share a powerful bond , the things they do for one another had me swooning for them both , small "accidents " that happen to the character had me die laughing while cringing on the inside and the sex scenes are super HOT . Oh my gosh Baylor I couldn't wait for his book after finishing Go to hail he does the tows that no one wants to do so in doing that he meets the heroine , like all LLV heroes he's alpha protective , funny , and one hell of a dirty talker . Really liked Lark she hasn't been having amazing luck so when she starts to be with the character things begin to look up even when hilarious incidents occur she gets family and mates people who care . I'm so excited to see whats to come for this author we obtain small tips of future couples and Dante makes an appearance but he is not alone this time . Another thing I love about these books is getting more of past couple and seeing them make family and interact / play tricks on one another . The Hell you say is next it's Krisney and Reeds story and I just know it's going to pool on my heart strings . What the Hail is a must read it has everything you need in a book characters that are lovable , story line that keeps you hooked , and hilarious , sad , mad ,shocking , pantie melting moments .copy provided for honest review****************************************hero=10+ heroine=10+ secondary characters=10+ Chemistry= 10+ steam=10+romance=9 humor=10+ darkness level= 6 action= 6 mystery=5enjoyment= 10+ angst=3 story line= 10+ Story ending=10+character development= 10 pacing= 10cover= 10+ stars=5+ author=10+++++++++++would I recommend this book=yeswould I re read this book= yeswould I read future books by this author= yes yes yes yes yes hell yessssss

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

This is the 4th book in the Hail Raisers series, and so far, has been one of my favorites.  This book is about Baylor and Lark.  Baylor, of course, is one of the Hail brothers, and works in their auto recovery/towing company.  Lark is a woman with a haunted past.  If you've followed Lani Lynn Vale's work from the beginning, (like most of us have, LOL) you will understand what I mean when I say she is one of the freebirds.  If not, shame on you!  You have a lot of catching up to do!  But in all seriousness, beginning with her very first book, Boomtown, we learn of the Freebird project.  The men of Free rescue women and kids from risky situations, usually domestic related, and relocate them with fresh identities, lives, etc.  Lark is one of these women.  But the past continues to haunt her. Baylor is sweet, cocky, a loner.  But he feels for Lark from the first meeting.  He treats her in a method that she isn't used to being treated, like a woman is supposed to be treated.  Lark gets to me in  a method that a lot of female characters do not, probably due to her self defeating attitude.  She goes about every day, knowing that this could be the latest day of freedom that she has from her crazy, abusive ex.  As a lot of tragic characters with horrible pasts have been in Lani Lynn Vale's books, Lark just makes me feel.....some kind of of the most interesting things about the LLV books, is the snarkiness of the characters.  This story is no exception.  I love the interplay between characters, and how they throw the sarcasm at the drop of a hat.  Between that and the quick paced, never know what's gonna happen next, action at the drop of a hat, this book will hold you glued to your kindle until the very latest word.  All of the Hail books have been great, but each one keeps getting better.  Each book builds on the next, creating a complex globe that intertwines with each chapter, each book, each series, until you feel like you know each hero personally.  Its a attractive thing!

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

This was my first foray into Lani Lynn Vale’s world. What The Hail was the first book I picked up of hers to read. And amid the chuckling, giggling, nail biting, horror, sympathy, envious lust, and all-consuming joy at the love found between the characters, I couldn’t support but think ‘What the heck took me so long to read from this author???’Well, I’ll be correcting this lapse tout suite. Because if her other books are anything like the story I just got of Baylor and Lark, I’m in for dozens of treats. Amazing thing it’s my birthday week and close to Christmas and I’ve been a amazing girl. I’m deserving ;)Lark had escaped a nightmare. Her nightmare was her ex-husband who would rather see her dead than satisfied and free. She has relocated to a little city to test to move on with her life. She wasn’t looking for love until it literally hit her upside the head. Baylor was a veteran who now worked as a tow truck driver. He hadn’t been with anyone in ages but he couldn’t obtain Lark off of his mind. Their first encounter was HILARIOUS and the hilarity didn’t stop there. These two were a match created in heaven with a lot of awkwardness, quirks, humor, and amazing old-fashioned loving to create them truly much of my copy of this book ended up being highlighted and it was hard to choose which parts to share. This author truly has a method with words and whether I was rolling on the floor laughing or swooning over the hero’s antics, I was captivated.🤣 Some girls are Malibu Barbie. I’m that weird knock-off, store-brand ‘Barbie’ that looks like she’s from the hood and has gone a few rounds with life.🤣 I’m old school. When I wake up, my eyebrows are already on my face.🤣 Baylor saying a nut is his favorite because it’s closest to his heart🤣 Beautiful much anything that Baylor says. He was a freaking riot!!I laughed so much during this book. And although there was a large suspense plot woven into the fabric of this story, its main focus was on these characters, their interactions, the side characters, and the everyday hijinks everyone was able to search themselves in. The love was what was the loudest in this book. There was so much compassion, generosity, affection and primary human kindness in this story. I am not ashamed to admit that I fell in love with every aspect of this story (except for Sal - which is a given).Seriously, if you’re like me and haven’t tried this author before, ONE CLICK!! If you’ve already sampled her wares, then you already know that she’s amazing, so I’m sure you’ll be one-clicking anyway ;)Release Date: December 14, 2017Genre: Romantic ComedyPOV: Dual - 1st personHeat: 4 out of 5Type: Standalone - Book #4 of the Hail Raisers series

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

Lark needs a new begin more than most people. When an organization helps her escape her abusive ex husband and set her up with a fresh identity she jumps at the chance. Her fresh begin isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, however, when she’s dropped right in the middle of another’s woman’s life who was down on her luck. She’s got bills she didn’t rack up, a vehicle that’s been repossessed and her one and only contact in the fresh city is a total jerk bent on making life miserable for everyone around e day Baylor showed up to repossess her vehicle was life changing. He never wanted to create her cry. He’s also never wanted to create someone feel life everything was going to be okay as badly as he wanted to for Lark. He knows she’s broken but he can’t seem to obtain her out of his system. And, hey, he’s a small broken eir attraction is undeniable. Lark’s luck is simply atrocious. And, Baylor’s determined to be the man that can create Lark feel safe and loved and fix all of her problems.Just when things seem to be going their way, Lark’s safety is compromised when her abusive ex finds her. Now it’s up to Baylor to convince Lark that running isn’t the respond and that he can be her hero. While this is book four in the Hail Raisers series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. I love Lark’s strength and determination to escape her old life of abuse and begin again. Her courage is awesome and Lani did a tremendous job writing this ylor is an extremely complex alpha male. He’s got demons of his own, but can’t obtain Lark out of his system. He immediately sees that their brokenness works to ease one another. No matter how a lot of times fate tries to step in his way, he’s determined to create her his . . . even when she tries her damnedest to push him away to hold him safe from her is story really packs a strong punch. It’s got some really funny moments between Baylor and Lark as well as between the Hail brothers. The suspense element of Lark’s past catching up with her also had me turning page after page. You just knew he was going to present up and cause trouble, but not where or when or how. It’s also a unbelievable love story. I kind of fell in love with Baylor . . . he really was everything Lark didn’t know she needed. 5 Stars!

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

What The Hail is everything I love from Lani Lynn Vale multiplied by a thousand! Hands down this is my favorite (so far lol!) in The Hail Raisers series. I was literally, and loudly, cracking up at times while reading this. What The Hail has the excellent amount of fun, humor, swoon worthy romance, and heat. I could not obtain enough of Baylor and Lark! From the second I started reading this I couldn’t stop. Lani’s writing is beyond addictive and her characters are impossible to not love. Trust me when I say, once you read one, you’ll wish to read them all.I never thought I’d say this, but Baylor as dethroned Sebastian (Lights To My Siren) as my favorite. *GASP* I know, I know it was a shock to me too. Stick with me here though, you see Baylor is this excellent mix of quiet and almost brooding (but not quite) while having an awesome sense of humor, being the protective alpha we’ve all come to love from Lani’s men, and still being a amazing huge sweetheart when it comes to his woman. He’s just one amazing huge hunk of sexy perfection. I don’t even feel slightly poor about my fangirl gushing here. Baylor is perfect! I wish him for Christmas.I love, love, love Lark! I’ve been dying to learn more about her since she was first introduced and she was even better than I anticipated. She had me absolute rolling with laughter so a lot of times, while other times she had me just wanting to give her a hug. Sweet, funny, and completely relatable it was like she could have been any woman’s best friend. That’s yet another thing I adore about all of Lani’s books. Her women aren’t some unreachable fantasy, they’re not excellent or “perfectly flawed”. Her woman are real. They’re just every girlfriend you know, with quirks, imperfections, and real amazing women. I more than loved Baylor and Lark and I can’t wait for the next book in the Hail Raisers series!

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

Another awesome addition to the Hail Raisers series. Each book has me convinced that it's my favorite in the series, until the next book is released. I just can't obtain enough of the awesome Hail brothers. They are a close-knit bunch who love to give each other hell, but at the same time would give their lives to protect each other. As I read each book, I'm drawn deeper into their lives, and then I don't wish to leave when I turn the latest rk isn't her true name. It's safer that way. She's running from her past and she's hoping that it doesn't catch up with her. That he doesn't search her. Her ex is someone she hopes to never see again. But she's intelligent enough to know that's an unrealistic hope. In the back of her mind, she's aware that he has the resources to search her, and he will, eventually. So, she stays alert, always cautious and observant. Ready to ylor is used to upsetting people. None of them are ever satisfied when he repossess their cars. But this one, she gets to him with her tears. He wants to turn her frown upside down. He feels protective towards her and doesn't understand why. However; it always seems to be him on the receiving end of the problem when the two of them run into each ni Lynn Vale always makes me laugh. If it's not the funny chapter headings, it's the internal dialogue or witty banter between characters. But at the same time, she always tackles serious problems and does a amazing job telling a story that will grab you in the gut and create you feel something. As the series progresses, she shares glimpses of the other character's lives. Just enough to tease her readers and obtain them intrigued about what she has in shop for them next. I'm so damn excited to obtain my hands on The Hail You Say, that the waiting is going to be hail. The line forms here...

What the Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 4) [Book]  2017-12-14 18:0

I have come to the conclusion that I don’t think I would mind having my vehicle repossessed by the guys at Hail recovery because darn it they are all smoking hot!I love that each of Lani’s guys brings something fresh to the page but that they all share the fact that they love with every single fibre of their being. These are men that you wish to belong too! And with Baylor, I think I have found the guy that can repossess me anytime! He was a total gentleman, with an obvious but not overtly alpha streak running straight through to his very core, at time she gave off a menacing powerful silent type vibe that had the hairs on the back of my neck standing to attention but on other occasions, I could feel my heart swoon for him, he won me over completely. I thought he was fantastic, and with Lark the chemistry was a barely containable fizzle, they sparked off each other and with a humour and intensity that refused to be tamed, they set the story alight. We had met Lark previously but what I knew of her was scant to say the least and the author had deliberately created that so, because in this book, she got the opportunity to tell her own story, to explain her past and to present her strength and boy was she a powerful woman, she had lived through so much heart ache that I couldn’t include the tears that I shed for what she had suffered. I wanted Baylor to be her man, because I knew that he would love her like she deserved, he would worship the ground she walked on and protect her from everyone that had the capacity to damage her, especially the ones of her past, because let’s face it with him by her side, she was surrounded by a love that was Kevlar coated.I am awaiting the next in the series with baited breath and a desperation to search out more about the tortured soul that is Dante.

Clash (The Arinthian Line Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-4 18:1

Well, well, Another can't place down page turning adventure in this 4th Book of the Arinthian Line! I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I have to say Sever's books just hold getting better and better. Sever has done a superb job with this whole series including the newest, Clash. The scenes pop off the pages they are so well described it just makes you feel you are right there with the characters as the action takes place. The characters are so well developed I feel I know them personally and the emotions I felt while reading were incredible! I just wish to leap in the book and join Augum, Bridget and Leera... Hmm, I believe I have said this in a previous review of an earlier book which means this is another epic read by Sever! This book is intense, and you obtain to stay and have fun it for a long time because there are so a lot of pages! I think anyone who picks up this recent installment will be highly pleased, this story reels you in and is very hard to place down. This whole series is awesome so create sure you read them all. I can't wait for the next one Sever! Bring it on!

Clash (The Arinthian Line Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-4 18:1

Another brilliant book from Sever Bronny. Man, am I glad he's so prolific!!First, the negatives:1. This book was more "Harry Pottery" than the previous books, and for that reason it felt a small rehearsed.2. The drama between two of the characters was incredibly irritating--I actually just don't need teenage romance or teenage drama in my life.3. The pacing of this book was a bit more uneven than that of the others--the structure was less of an arc and more of a meander through a series of events.4. A small less attention seems to have been given to editing this novel than the previous ones. There aren't any typos (!!!), but there are a few mis-used words and the odd bit of unusual e positives:Everything else. Seriously. I've been recommending this series to every person I can. It's an perfect example of a amazing indie series--and as anyone who follows my reviews knows, I certainly don't give 4 or 5 star ratings lightly. Obtain amongst it now!!!

Clash (The Arinthian Line Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-4 18:1

What an wonderful adventure. I just did not wish the book to end. I was at zone 8000 approximately, and I felt that I just couldn't bring myself to read it. I just could not see the end plan having any possibility of success, the odds just being too overwhelming.I will advise readers to have recently read or re-read the previous books as you can obtain bogged down trying to remember the significance of characters and happenings from previous books. There is an poor lot going on in this book and as I have read each book only once, I did have difficulty remembering these events. Don't obtain me wrong this is one of my favorite series and each book is definitely worth a second Bronny, thank you for an extraordinary book. I love the characters, Augum and Leera's relationship, and I especially loved the creativity of the Library. What an incredibly imaginative put that I think would create an wonderful spin off series by itself. I just can't stop thinking of all the possibilities that that series could produce. I could see our brave trio returning at the conclusion of this series to partake in all the adventures the library could offer. Please think about it. Oh, and thanks for your 99 cent books, it has allowed me to own all four books of a unbelievable series. Hold em coming!

Clash (The Arinthian Line Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-4 18:1

Like the other books in the series, this one starts out a small slow but finishes strong. There's a bit too much time spent on the teenage romances of the characters, but if you obtain beyond that it's an interesting read. I've enjoyed all the books so far and have purchased the fifth and final book. The books are long, taking quite a bit of time to read, but if you like stories about warlocks and magic (sorry, arcanery) in a medieval setting, then this series is worth a read.

Clash (The Arinthian Line Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-4 18:1

Having got hooked on the Arinthian series, it is a pleasure to read the newest adventure of Augum and mates Bridggy-Poo(sorry Bridge) Leera and amazing grandmother. If you ever read Arcane you will be hooked. This fourth in the series is quite possibly the best yet. Storyline picks up from Valor and gets better. The ending in Clash really caught me by surprise. Awesome. I now have all this series in e-book format and plan to buy the paper series. Although I am member of Advanc3e Reader Squad I received no payment for any reviews. I am just waiting for next story.

Clash (The Arinthian Line Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-4 18:1

I started reading this series two months ago and have been engrossed ever since. It takes me back to my earliest years reading CS Lewis and the Chronicles of Narnia. This series is simple, simple to read, and is the purest form of the fantasy genre, without subtleties or gray area:. Amazing verses Evil. It does not bog down the reader with the over sexualized literary masturbation like George RR Martin, but instead allows you to bravely read on, flipping pages without worrying about whether or not your morals might be offended. Place concisely, this series is exactly what a pleasant and adventurous story is all about. Well done!

What a amazing series. If you love Harry Potter you will love this series just as much. It is full of everything you could ask for, adventure, real bonding of friends, amazing versus evil. And love in a method you have to read to actually feel is is a series that everyone can read. Young and old. It is so unbelievable to search a book that you can share with your kids and not worry about unessasary profanity and vulgar language. Thank you, thank you for showing young readers that amazing writing does not need to have profanity to create it y downside is I finished and need to wait for next book and struggle to search a book that is remotely as amazing as this anks for a amazing couple of days of trading.

Clash (The Arinthian Line Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-4 18:1

This is the fourth book in the Arinthian line series of novels. I discovered Sever Bronny's books about a month ago and have since burned through the entire series. The books are well written, the story line is interesting enough to hold you going and leaves you wanting more. The characters are well developed and the author has a knack for making you feel for the young heroes and the villains are simple enough to hate. These books have earned a spot on my bookshelf which I reserve for only my favorite novels. I just want they were available in hardcover.

The story continues as Augum and mates test to search something to support in the war versus the Legion. I think the only thing I didn't like about the book was the drama between Augum and Leera but what can you do they are teenagers I obtain it. Everything else is just as amazing as the frist three books as far as writing and the story continues to obtain better. It's kind of sad knowing that soon it will be over but I am very excited for the next book.

Clash (Book 4) was a bit slow in the beginning but picked up pace after the first chapter. I felt like I was there with them throughout the trio's adventure. This series is a amazing coming-of-age fantasy series. My favorite hero is Augum Stone. And yet his friends, Bridget and Leera, makes a amazing team. It makes me wish to be young again and have mates like these three. Thanks Sever Bronny for another amazing installment. Can't wait for the latest book in this series. And I hope to continue to read more in the next series of Augum Stone.

Luck (The Eventing Series Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-12 18:1

I had been eagerly awaiting the next installment of The Eventing Series and as usual the recent book did not allow me down. This recent book continues to delve into Jules and Pete’s evolving relationship and horse business, and the plot is always full of twists so that I was eagerly anticipating what would happen next. I love Natalie’s detailed description of Florida horse country, you can really obtain a feel for the special landscape of that part of Florida. As an equestrian, the situations the two main characters face are both familiar and relatable and can create me cry or laugh accordingly. I think any of her books can stand alone, but if possible begin with book one to fully appreciate the series.

Luck (The Eventing Series Book 4) [Book]  2018-1-12 18:1

I'm a large fan of this author and of this series and was eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. It did not disappoint! To me Jules is at her strongest, most sympathetic yet. This isn't a hero I have always liked but it has been enthralling to watch her growth through the series and search her calling not only as a horsewoman but as a mentor to other aspiring equestrians. Her relationship with Pete continues to evolve through a white knuckled series of ups and downs that kept me reading straight through to the very end. This is my favorite book yet of the series.

Talk about a roller coaster! This book takes Jules, Pete, and you through some true lows in life and some sweet victories. I devoured this book as soon as I got the possibility to begin it! You really don’t wish to miss out on this one, it might even be my favorite book of the series! It takes you through the struggles of daily life (when things aren’t so great), shows the love we all share for horses in always putting them first, and it’s dashed with some serious humor. I laughed more reading this book than I have in a long time! Well done again Natalie Keller Reinert!

This book was a unbelievable blend of emotions, both high and low, and allows you to experience the horse trainers life, while not always easy, it is always about the horses, as it should be. Thank you, Natalie, for giving us another peek into the life, and making us wish more, more, more!

Gaslight (Crossbreed Series Book 4) [Book]  2018-2-20 18:0

Well she did it again. When a favorite author brings out a fresh book, it’s difficult sometimes to be unbiased, but then they wouldn’t be a favorite author if she/he weren’t a unbelievable storyteller. Dannika Dark is definitely a unbelievable storyteller. So yes, she wrote another story that rivaled all of her best work and although I usually stay away from saying this(mostly), I think this one is the best in this series. However, I must qualify this by saying that the previous installment, Deathtrap, is right up there close to Gaslight in that respect.Raven Black is now one of my favorite urban fantasy heroines and has been beautiful much from the time book one, Keystone, was released. She’s a half breed, vampire/mage, and takes powers from both sides. She doesn’t have all the powers, but enough to create her lethal. She detests drinking blood and doesn’t really have to, but will in order to heal. She’s had to heal on a lot of occasions since joining Keystone, a clandestine organization used by the Breed higher authority to manage difficult situations of the supernatural kind. Breed is the name for the a lot of supernatural characters that inhabit the globe and live side by side humans who remain blissfully unaware. Christian Poe is Raven’s partner and now love interest. He first showed up in Dark’s Mageri series and became a favorite of a lot of readers. Now he’s back, and he’s still the snarky vampire that everyone loved and for me anyway, he has truly become a excellent character for this series. I wasn’t the huge fan others were, but now I am right there with all the Christian fans. He has truly proven himself, especially with this installment. All of the characters that belong to Keystone have become necessary to each book as well. A couple of mages, a sensor, a gravewalker, two shifters, a chita, a vampire and Raven create up the organization. And are really now, almost family for each other. Each book takes on another case for this motley squad to solve. This time it concerns vampires turning innocents and selling them on the black market. When Raven starts working on cold cases, this one stands out to her and she’s determined to solve it. Small does she know how one case can change a person so much and not necessarily for the good. Christian is in protector mode for most of the book and I enjoyed seeing how much he cares for is is probably one of the darkest of any of this authors work, although some of her Mageri series was beautiful dark as well. Dark was able to both hold me on the edge of my seat, and cause my blood pressure to skyrocket at times. She can write a paranormal thriller to rival any of them out there. The difference with this author’s thrillers is that the characters are so well written that you start to really care about them, more so than most other books. At least in my case anyway. When that happens, and things go south, she has the ability to create your emotions go haywire. She skillfully tempers that with humor between the other characters interactions. And humor is always appreciated by me! The romance parts don’t damage either. If you are looking for a paranormal thriller with touches of romance and humor, you can’t go wrong with this book or the whole series. Or anything this author writes. And that’s something I can’t say about that a lot of authors. Highly recommended to adult urban fantasy/paranormal romance fans. I can’t say enough amazing about this book!I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.(originally posted on Rabid Reads)

Another awesome book by Dannika Dark! Gaslight is a amazing addition to the Crossbreed Series. A lot of questions were answered. Relationships were tested. Some grew stronger. Christian and Raven's relationship is captivating. Excellent mix of action, romance, and humor. This series is by far my favorite of Dannika's 3 series.

Hello Stranger: The Ravenels, Book 4 [Book]  2018-2-27 18:0

I received a copy of this title to read and review for Wicked Reads5 StarsHello Stranger is the 4th installment of The Ravenels series, and can most certainly be read as a standalone. While I have read the majority of Lisa Kleypas's backlist, I had not read any of this series, and I had absolutely no difficulty falling into the story. I had no confusion reading this as a standalone, and look forward to going back to book 1 and working my method through the series.Hello Stranger starts off with a thrilling scene, drawing the reader into the story from word-one in an innovated way. Our character and heroine have had previous encounters. However, since this was the first I've read, I don't feel short-changed with how Kleypas released the previous info about their encounters without doing an rrett Gibson is the first female doctor in England, in a time when women were not seen in the same light as men. She was logical, non-emotional, no-nonsense, but written in a manner that does not create her seem cold. I immediately identified with Garrett, which had me emotionally invested in the hero and the journey. I appreciated that Hello Stranger didn't concentrate on balls and trapping a man in the marriage mart, befitting the han Ransom is an interesting character, with a mysterious backstory. He's as practical and efficient as the doctor but has a red-blooded, passionate streak. Trained to do the jobs in which most would not succeed, Ransom tries and fails to disconnect from his rrett and Ransom are drawn together, bringing out portions of human nature they both suppress due to their professions. Their romance felt real, with a slow-build, high tension, and sizzling passion unfolding organically throughout the ey're tested, both as a couple, but most certainly by profession, in a manner that allows the reader to see Garrett's medical knowledge. The reader can see that Garrett is not a damsel in distress throughout the majority of the book- not only will she protect herself, she is driven to care for others. The depth in which the author goes to present the medical limitations of the time, some readers may be drawn to skim this portion- however, I was intrigued by both the medical angle, as well as how women in Garrett's profession were ere is a little side cast of characters, which I'm sure are past narrators. However, the reader gets to meet West, who most certainly will be the character of the next installment. I enjoyed him immensely, and all the foreshadowing created me hungry from West's favorite part of the entire novel was the instant familial connection Ransom and West shared. Their interplay was amusing and heartwarming. It was as if West brought out another side to Ransom- a sarcastic and witty side that brought levity to an otherwise darker novel, and this transferred over into how they both interacted with are two quotes from the beginning of the novel that had me thoroughly entertained, and will also give a glimpse into Garrett's 've been all work and no play for much too long. And then one night a mysterious and handsome man appears out of the shadows, fending off attackers on your behalf-""That part was annoying," Garrett interrupted. "I was doing quite well at being my own character until he jumped in."Helen's lips curved. "Still... it must have been a small flattering."___"This man is a patient," Garrett told the cookmaid, removing the posy of violets from the buttonhole of her walking jacket before handing the garment to her. "I've brought him here for a consultation- please see that we're not disturbed.""Consultation for what?" the maid asked slyly, her gaze traveling from Ethan's head to his toes, and back up again. "'E don't look all that peaked to me."Garrett's brows lowered. "You know better than to comment on a patient's appearance."Leaning toward her, the cookmaid said in a scene whisper, "I meant to say I 'opes you can do something for this poor, sickly wreck of a man."

Hello Stranger: The Ravenels, Book 4 [Book]  2018-2-27 18:0

Warning! Over twenty four hours after reading, I'm still suffering from extreme book hangover. Formerly a detective, and now an agent for the crown, Ethan Ransom has been smitten with Dr. Garrett Gibson since he first saw her. Though he doesn't keep out any hope of ever having a relationship with her, he still follows her as she makes her method through the risky parts of city with the intention of protecting her, if needed. Garrett, who is the only female doctor in England, is at first annoyed upon discovering Ethan trailing her. When Ethan convinces her that she needs to learn how to protect herself, she is intrigued. It doesn't take very long until the doctor who has been all-work-and-no-play becomes just as smitten with Ethan. When Garrett decides she wants Ethan for her lover, he tries, but he's powerless to resist her.Right from the start, I felt this couple to be excellent for each other. Garrett has had to war a lot of wars just because she's a woman in a man's profession. She's had to be better, smarter, and tougher, and in doing that, she place aside all thoughts of romance. Ethan has been trained to be an elite agent, controlling his thoughts, his actions, and his body. But together, they both present a softness toward the other, sharing humor, passion, and themselves. I adore a book where I am in love with both lead characters, and that is definitely the case here. I love Ethan's method of speaking to Garrett - it's almost poetic, yet doesn't seem contrived or phony, just truly heartfelt: "The first moment I saw you, I knew you were my share of the world. I've always loved you. If I could choose my fate, I'd never be parted from you." Whew!HELLO STRANGER has some intrigue and some history, but nothing overshadows the romance, and that's something very necessary to me. If you've followed the previous books in THE RAVENELS series, West plays a prominent secondary role, and adds some smileworthy moments. Everything about HELLO STRANGER worked for me, and I've added it to my favorites list. The characters are amazingly strong, yet vulnerable to each other, and they have a love and passion that's extraordinary. "I wish a life with you." Years with him. A fireside of kids with him. "My life is yours," he said huskily. "You own every min I have left. You know that..don't you? .." The writing is beautiful, compelling, and heartfelt - if that's the kind of book you love to read, (as I do) I recommend moving HELLO STRANGER to the top of your reading list.A Top Pick as reviewed at rosesareblue dot net. I received a complimentary copy of this book.

Hello Stranger: The Ravenels, Book 4 [Book]  2018-2-27 18:0

This is the deeply romantic Lisa Kleypas storytelling that I fell in love with years ago. From beginning to end, it's my favorite book so far in The Ravenels series.I wasn't sure what to expect of Garrett. In previous books we're shown a no-nonsense doctor who hasn't much of a life outside of her career but she really evolves in this book. I enjoyed watching her transition as she begins to embrace her emotional side without sacrificing any of the strength in her straight-forward, scientific, medical attributes. I liked her and was firmly in her corner, cheering her on. And Ethan. ::sigh:: What can I say? Ethan Ransom is one of my all-time favorite Kleypas heroes. I really fell for this guy. A self-made man, lethal government agent, with the soul of a poet, a well-hidden Irish accent that weakens the knees, a heart that beats solely for one unconventional woman, and knowledge of 120 pleasure positions? Yes, please! For fans of the series, West Ravenel has a fair amount of page time in this book and it's only upped my anticipation for his story! I hope we'll be seeing more of Ethan and Garrett in future books as well. I haven't had nearly enough of them!

With This Man (This Man #4) by Jodi Ellen Malpas4.5 starsM/F RomanceTriggers: KidnappingI purchased this book and used my private copy for my is is a book that will leave you breathless, feel emotions that Jesse normally hides and see a side of Jesse and Ava's relationship that normally you just don't sse and Ava are living a dream. They love each other more than ever, love their kiddos and have a beautiful charmed life. When tragedy strikes, it will take all of Jesse's willpower to present Ava why she loves is is a more emotional story than what I was expecting, but it didn't disappoint at all. I really love this series and this one added so much to their relationship. I felt that I got to see behind the scenes of what created them sse was much more tender in this story than he has been in the past. There are a lot of repeat characters, so I definitely would recommend reading all of these books. Jesse's hero is so complex, but watching him having to present Ava how much he loves her all the while giving her zone he's not accustomed to is interesting and great.I loved the dynamic between Ava and Jesse in this story and the twists and turns this story takes keeps you guessing. I loved everything about this - it was one I couldn't place down.

Jesse and Ava have finally returned and all I can say is Long Live The Lord! Is it any surprise that Wards are still blissfully satisfied after all these years. Their love story was one for the ages and even now they have grow even more in love with one other with each passing moment. Jesse loves his life with his maddeningly stunning wife and excellent babies. Never could he have imagined before Ava stepped into his life this level of bliss. Ava’s still the ball of sass he fell head over heels for and no matter how much he gripes he wouldn't change a thing about his stubbornly gorgeously wife. Fate however plays a cruel joke when tragedy strikes and while sparing Ava it takes away all her recollection of her life with her Lord. In the blink of an eye it's like she's lost 16 years and Jesse is at a whits end as to how to trample this. But if there is one thing Jesse Ward isn'@#$%!& a quiter. His persistence once won him Ava’s heart, so he’ll just have to do it again.

I've got mixed feelings with this 4th book. As another stated, the first half was slow and repetitive which could have been greatly shortened, I ended up skipping pages. The emotion in Ava's accident just was not there for me. Was the heart breaking loss really required in this story? I think not. I'm a bit sorry I bought and read this, it should have ended with the 3rd book. This story has been pushed too far. The nudity and sexual comments by the kids and by Jesse in front of the children really turned me off of this story, I thought reviews of the epilogue when the children were 5 would have changed jodi 's writing direction in this one. Somewhat disappointed.

I was skeptical of how Jodi could possibly top any of her books in the This Man series. She did it by giving us Ava and her Lord and a continuation of their epic love story. The emotions that Jesse shares experiences come off the page break your heart right along with his. You feel all the highs and lows that Ava and Jesse experience during one of the hardest times in their life. You feel the love that they have for one another in a method that makes them more than just book characters. I think I speak for all fans of Jesse and Ava that we will never tire of hearing about their love for each other and life together. Congratulations Jodi, you have outdone yourself with this.

...He'd yell out loud and throw his toys." Well-rhymed, well-illustrated, charming children's book together with a fine family message! Already went on to purchase "Marty and Momo Create Bedtime Fun" from same author as I enjoyed the book so and looking to add more of this author's works to my collection in the near future. Just a heads up that if you are wanting the gift coloring pages mentioned in the description I suspect you'll have to order the paperback, but didn't hamper my enjoyment factor of the book whatsoever so earns the full 5 stars. Monstrous fun I heartily recommend!

The colourful illustrations and Swampy’s merry look created me wish to buy this small book. The small Swampy, his family, as well as rhyme and illustrations a kind of stirred my finest childhood memories in me. I’ve just bought this book and I’ll read it to my son when he grows up a little! The story will teach him to do the right things before sleep. Well, it is so well rhymed, so why not test it right now as a lullaby!
