Rocketbook Wave Reusable Smart Notebook Standard Size with Pen Station review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

[See December 15th modernize about an improved notebook at the end of this review.]I've had the Rocketbook Wave for about a week. My initial impression is that it's ok, but not yet great.I like the idea that I can write in a notebook (or with paper available from rocketbook's website). But I can write on a lot of notebooks, so there is no android game changer here.I like the idea that I can scan the pages I wrote and then, relatively quickly, send those pages to a dozens of cloud services or email accounts, using the Rocketbook app. But I can do that with other apps - like Scannable, scansnap, or scanner pro (among other apps). With the other apps, I can scan multiple pages into the same pdf or other file. I have not figured out how to do that with rocketbook, so with that app, i obtain separate pdf pages. I'm still looking for a method to fix that.I'm not crazy about the microwave feature for two reasons. The first reason is rocket books requires the microwave to have a rotating turntable. I have that, but my microwave is too small, so the book cannot rotate. I did not know about that constraint until I read the little print. The second reason is the notebook apparently lasts for about 5 erasures. Clearly not the latest note book one will , after one week, I search myself wondering what the huge deal is. I may be missing something. It seems to me buying a notebook you like, taking pictures of the pages you've written on with one of several functional scanner apps, and then sending them to your favorite cloud service does the same thing rocketbook does. But with less hassle.I'll hold using the rocketbook and the application for awhile longer, and revise this review if cember 15, 2016 update:Rocketbook is coming out with another ver of their notebook. It's called the Everlast Notebook. It is due sometime in April 2017. The original notebook could be used about 5 times. The Everlast (according to the manufacturer) can be used about 1000 times. The original notebook was erased in a microwave oven. According to the manufacturer, "The Rocketbook Everlast can be reused by wiping the page clean with a moist towel." Rocketbook Wave Reusable Smart Notebook Standard Size with Pen Station review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

Okay so I have been using this notebook for quite some time now, and from what I learned is that this notebook is a somewhat cool buy. The price, on the other hand, says otherwise. The whole premise of this notebook is that you can reuse it, up to five times, and upload your notes to cloud destinations. However, there is nothing unique about the notebook, it's the ink. Frixion pens are designed to fade when exposed to heat. Even so, after you have microwaved your notebook, there is still the "ghost" of your previous writings. As a college student on the go, the cover has held up for the past three months but is starting to fall apart as with the binding. Hold in mind that I shop my notebook in my backpack which is very well organized, so for the actual build of the notebook, it could be better. So in the end what to stop a person from just buying a regular notebook, that's a bit heat resistant, and just using friction pens? Nothing, because in the long run, that is still cheaper, buying a whole set of multi-colored Frixion pens and a regular notebook. Would I buy this product again? Probably not. Would I recommend this to a college student? Sure if you have cash to : This notebook also comes with an application that scans your notes. Which sounds cool and all, but you can just download some scanner apps or Adobe Spark and just take images of your notes that way. The Rocketbook application isn't that unique anyway, hasn't even had an modernize since I got this notebook.Update: After just three semesters the notebook has fallen apart. For the price this notebook is not worth it at all. I really liked this thing a lot, but it cannot withstand the constant microwave treatments. The spine has fallen apart as well.

Rocketbook Wave Reusable Smart Notebook Standard Size with Pen Station review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

I learned about Rocket Book latest summer and bought the Wave notebook. I really liked the idea of being able to upload my notes easily and choose from the preset destinations. I was looking forward to being able to erase all my writing by simply microwaving it and reusing the same notebook again and again.Well I finally was close to the end of the notebook and with a fresh school year starting, I thought it was time to erase everything from latest year and begin fresh. I pulled up the directions on the site, and followed them. Microwaving the notebook did erase the ink, however it left behind a 'shadow or outline' of all my writing. (See the before and after pictures that I attached.)That is not what I expected or wish I understood would be the results when the pages were cleared. I unfortunately I'm not going to be able to reuse this notebook and wasted $26.

Rocketbook Wave Reusable Smart Notebook Standard Size with Pen Station review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

I have had this notebook for a few weeks and getting ready to buy a 2nd one. I have been using Pilot Frixion Clicker pens and Frixion Highlighters for a long time. Children like the Frixion markers for coloring something, erasing, and then re-coloring. With that being said, allow me give you my impression of both Frixion line of pens and this RST: Pilot Frixtion line of pens, highlighters, magic markers etc is where the REAL magic lies - not in the paper. You can use your Frixion pen/highlighter/magic markers to write on any type of paper (index cards, newspaper, printer paper, notebook paper, coloring books, etc) and erase the ink by either using the unique Frixion Erasers and erasing as if using a pencil eraser (regular erasers will not work, must be a Frixion eraser) OR by heating the paper for a few seconds either with a hairdryer (thats what my children use) or over a lightbulb, candle flame (be careful) or any other heat source. The ink will disappear (although still somewhat barely readable). To bring the ink back just place the paper in the freezer for a few mins and magically what you erased is now back and fully readable as if never erased. Children love doing "secret messages" this way, and it keeps them entertained. Theres a science lesson in there somewhere I'm sure if you wanted to create it a teachable lesson for younger kids. My point being, the frixion line of pens and markers and highlighters all do this without any unique notebook or paper required. So if your on a tight budget, order a frixion pen, then if you search you like it using as described above as a try trial, then order this notebook if needed.Whew, are you still with me? Seriously I didn't mean for this to be so long lol :)SECOND: Although I have been using Frixion pens and highlighters for years to create notes, erase, bring back from beyond etc in just a regular spiral notebook and even index cards as flash cards, I love this rocketbook wave notebook. Again, I can obtain the same functionality from any generic spiral notebook using the correct pens, but I love that the rocketbook adds the functionality of the direct scan to specific folders you set up. I do use Evernote to scan/store a lot of my notes before erasing them, but using this notebook eliminates a few steps in the process making it quicker. I also like the microwave ability to erase several pages all at once. My current method (applying a heat source or eraser) I can only do 1 page at a time so takes longer (a microwave safe notebook is much faster). So scanning and sharing to correct folder is now 1 step, as well as erasing all notes at 1 time is 1 though the product description does not mention it DO REMEMBER any of your 'erased' notes can be brought back to life in full view simply by placing them in a freezer for a few minutes. Say you accidentally erase something you didn't wish erased (me: leaving a notebook in vehicle on a hot summer afternoon erased my precious notes) - put it in freezer to restore it. So (point to ponder) just like the hard drive of your phone and computer - just because you erased something, doesn't mean its really gone is all Im saying, theres always traces. Example, never use a Frixion pen to write down sensitive info (passwords, acc info, etc). Because after you erase them, all someone has to do is put in freezer to bring the info back.

Rocketbook Wave Reusable Smart Notebook Standard Size with Pen Station review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

For those looking for fast review about book durability — book is more durable than any soft notebook I’ve had. No pages have torn or ripped from binding nor has cover. Binding is plastic and pages (no clue about paper weight sorry) thicker than regular spiral notebook paper. Minimal wear to cover as I toss, package and unpack from cluttered bag regularly. Very satisfied with book mple review of tech behind book—The application along with the book is very easy and simple to follow and setup. It allows you to hand write notes and upload to multiple locations with just a bubble tag on page. You set up application and assign a various storage/email to the various icons and when scanning and uploading you tag by hand on the bottom of page which put particular page will go and complete scan/send. It helps people stay e as attended— again very happy. I’ve had about three months and only microwave erased once so speaking about short term use only. From my first time erasing I followed instructions from www service given and seems to have erased fairly well but can see some “ghosting” however I can see things I can do differently to remedy this. More to do with how hard I use pens and writing - NOT book itself. I see that locations of scribbles and hard pressed writing is where I see ghosting so it’s a matter of writing lighter...pretty simple. Also microwaveing is simple just follow instructions. I had little amount left over on the first side I nuked but the middle and second side after flipping was gone so I might either hit one more time on first side or I simply didn’t leave in long enough before flipping. Again easy fixes.I gave this five star rating because despite minor ghosting from frixxion pens the book itself allows the already amazing idea of heat erasing pens (also manual rubber erasable too) the ability to erase huge amounts and to shop this information digitally. Less clutter with just one notebook and better organizing while still being able to hand take notes. For me this is so helpful.Write without pressing hard enough to dent paper and shouldn’t have a hard time with leftover ink.

Rocketbook Wave Reusable Smart Notebook Standard Size with Pen Station review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

I'm a student who takes a lot of notes and I've been using frixion pens for a long time for notetaking and absolutely love them. So needless to say the selling point of this for me was less about the erasable features and more about the digital archiving. Who wouldn't wish to waste less paper and have all your notes safely archived and organized on the cloud? Unfortunately I have to give this a poor review on that front and will be returning the notebook.Even after messing with all the whitewash and focus settings, all my photos were completely blurry and totally useless. I'll give it to them that the feature of marking the icon at the bottom of the page and then auto-sending to a set associated zone worked well and was beautiful cool. But it's totally moot when the file it sends is a blurry mess. I'm uploading a couple images, the first one taken with my (not that great) cell phone camera, the other was taken and processed in the app. As you can see, there's no method that I can use this for keeping my class notes. The writing at the top is all but gone from the image, and the drawing is just a blob. I'm sorry to say that it's not even suitable to archiving drawings of stick figures.

Rocketbook Wave Reusable Smart Notebook Standard Size with Pen Station review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

This is a amazing concept, but falls short of expectations. The materials were not what I was hoping. I would think that a reusable notebook would have a more sturdy cover that would take more wear than this did. 3 days of carrying this notebook in my bag left it beautiful badly scratched and unappealing. The notebook and application worked great. I was able to use it as advertised and was very satisfied with the dozens of services it worked with. The upload quality was great. It was really quick and did just what I wanted it to. However, the first time I place the notebook in the microwave to clear the pages, I was left with large, ugly scorch marks the size of a silver dollar on every page. There was not warning about this happening. I followed the directions exactly. The ink did clear, however the previous writing was visible due to the indentations on the paper. This just doesn't quite hit the mark. For the price, I was very disappointed.

Hate this thing! And, not for the reasons you think....please read on...Guess what? You cannot leave this thing near anything hot or in a hot car. All your notes will disappear. And, you cannot use the pens from the notebook on other notebooks because those notes will also disappear. My boss, who is a lawyer did this and 60 pages of notes are now completely gone. We were in love with this thing; our whole squad started using this and now we have all thrown them in the trash. Worthless!!!!!

I was very excited to obtain this notebook around a year ago. I bought the Frixion Pilot pens package and used it for notes. Simple to upload with the app, although it is annoying that I can’t connect multipage notes into one pdf/document.I finally filled it and was ready to clear for the fresh school year. I watched the video and created sure I had the mug with plenty of water on top. I even took a video to share with my mates as I was just telling how amazing this notebook was. Long story short, it cleared the color but left a brown “shadow” behind. I can still read what I wrote. I tried again thinking I just didn’t clear. Now when I write and go to erase an error, it just removes the color and leaves that brown shadowy marks behind.**Update: 8/31/18 I did finally hear back from the company. Something about my emails not going through?? Anywho, they did send a replacement. I am satisfied about this and hope to see the ink disappear as promised. I will modernize again once I microwave it.

Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook - Dot-Grid Eco-Friendly Notebook with 1 Pilot Frixion Pen & 1 Microfiber Cloth Included - Infinity Black Cover, Executive Size (6" x 8.8") review [Book]  2019-11-29 18:3

Rocketbook vs. Elfinbook: I use both and here is my opinion. Each of these books has their pros and cons. Hopefully I can outline both for you from my perspective so you can see what you per: Rocketbook uses a paper that feels more plastic and thin. Elfinbook paper feels more substantial and the ink takes to it much faster. Rocketbook uses a square dot grid pattern, while Elfinbook has lines, much like a normal notebook. So when you scan from Rocketbook, it comes across looking like you just wrote on copy paper (no lines) while Elfinbook comes across with lines for more of that notebook look. For my preference, and others that I've allow test, Elfinbook was the clear champion ze: Somewhat arbitrary as I'm guessing both have various sizes. Rocketbook is more of a private notebook size...think DayTimer size. Elfinbook was larger and a small less convenient to carry around. The drawback with Rocketbook is the size does prohibit the amount of information you can place on a single page. More pages mean more scanning and organizing. Elfinbook held more notes obviously and it is nicer to have more zone for sketches, thoughts etc. I call this one a draw, as it is a private preference. I personally prefer the smaller Turning: Odd category I know, but that is why I included it here as I never thought it was a huge deal...until now. Hands down, Rockebook wins here with being able to turn the pages just like a spiral bound notebook. Elfinbook, with its thicker pages needed me to begin the book and fidget with the pages and spine to complete a page turn...without being concerned of ripping near the spine. Rocketbook you can treat like the old school notebooks: flip pages behind current page and hold going. Elfinbook needed a lot of effort for me to even wish to test and do Integration: Rocketbook gives you multiple options to instantly send your notes just by simply making the symbol on the page. You've previously told the application where each symbol will send the note. Rocketbook seamlessly reads that and bingo, your document shows up where you told it. Elfinbook is more of a manga process. You have to pick where you wish it each time. That becomes a hassle if you use the book for multiple entries (work, personal, diary etc) and have to continually switch where you wish it to go. With Rocketbook, I could use 10 pages, each with a various put to go to the cloud just by marking the symbol, take the scan and you are amazing to go...no delays, no switching after each scan. Rocketbook takes this : Hands down, Rocketbook's application is more polished. Elfinbook has a ways to go and could be superior with a few updates. Their OCR is horrible (Rocketbook doesn't offer that). Elfinbook has a burst type mode and does seem to capture pages faster with its dark border recognition feature. I give this to Rocketbook again, it is just a more polished l in all, I would take elements of each book to make a better one. I continue to use both, but wish my Rocketbook to have lines on the paper, and have the thicker paper from Elfinbook.

If I could give it 4.5 stars I would be happy. Love the idea and the actual functioning of it. It'll be easier to just have my things on my phone, tablet, and computer. I send them to my Google Drive and it works like a charm. This book is literal magic. It's simple to write on: doesn't necessarily FEEL like paper (but then again it isn't, so why feel that way?) but the Frixion pens write really well on it regardless. Be careful and let a few additional seconds for the ink to dry so that it won't smudge. I set it up so that immediately after I scan it, it will present up into my e reason for 4/4.5 stars instead of 5 is that a lot of colors of Frixion brand pens do not present up well or at all. If you typically write your notes in black, blue, or red ink this is not a problem. I fell in love with the Frixion pens a few years ago and since then have exclusively bought Frixion brand. They are trusty; they write smoothly and erase well every time as long as the eraser is clean. I have the gel pens, the click pens, the markers, the pastel highlighters, and one regular yellow highlighter in this brand (i have a issue lmao) but I am a student and I use my pens all day long. They don't bleed through regular paper or anything. When a mate showed me this book I had to have it (what can I say, I am an office supply slut) and bought it immediately.I'm going to attach my try pictures so that you can know which things work best with the Everlast Rocketbook.I've included a color key at the bottom and highlighted which colors present up mostly real to color so that you can buy ones that are more likely to look nice once scanned. The pens stay place really well, the black marker fades easily, but overall the colors will present ns: All of the pens showed up once scanned. Some looked more like black than their actual color (1, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25)Markers: All of the markers showed up once scanned. Some looked discolored (35, 36, 37)Pastel Highlighters: So disappointed! They are attractive colors but the only one that showed up was the yellow (41).I uploaded the scan and also took a picture of the page itself to present the difference in colors. Hope this was helpful!!Overall, I love love love this product and will hold using it and recommending it to others (along with the Frixion pens!!)

This product amazed me and exceeded my expectations. It works exceptionally and as described. The Rocketbook application is so easy and simple to use. The scanning is perfect, it captures the colors, exposes the page with the right lighting, and crops and adjusts the page properly. Each scan takes less than a second, and you can combine multiple pages into one scan and upload them as one is is brilliant and I am so glad I purchased this product because it is excellent for school. I have seven classes and so I assigned each symbol in the notebook to my respective Google Drive folders. Some people say that the symbols aren't relatable and its difficult to relate the symbols in the notebook to a class or something. What i did is just assigned my first period class with the first symbol, second period with the second symbol, and so on. The Frixion highlighters and pens erase easily with the included erasers on the pens and effortlessly with a damp microfiber cloth (I provided the link to a very compact microfiber cloth that I use, I'd highly recommend it). Anyways, the product is great, and definitely worth the $ tip: use clear tape on the inside cover page where the symbols are. This method if you change a class or something you can just remove the tape, place fresh tape on and write a fresh label for the symbolI recommend several other products to use with this notebook. These are the best deals I could find. I have purchased these and have tried them with the Rocketbook ixion highlighters : clicker pens 0.7 mm : four color pen 0.5 mm (great for taking notes) : eraser : microfiber cloth:

Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook - Dot-Grid Eco-Friendly Notebook with 1 Pilot Frixion Pen & 1 Microfiber Cloth Included - Infinity Black Cover, Executive Size (6" x 8.8") review [Book]  2019-11-29 18:3

It's a amazing idea, but has a few shortcomings. For what it's worth, I ordered a four package bundle from the Indiegogo campaign. We got two executive size notebooks (for my wife and myself), and two letter size (for our kids). Long before we received our notebooks, I installed the application and tried it out with the downloadable pages you can obtain from their website; I also ordered a package of Frixion pens to test ke no mistake: the magic here is really in the pens (without which this product simply wouldn't work) and the app. I won't review the pens here, but since the application is integral to the use of the notebook's reusability, I will mention a few things about it, but first the 's an extremely nice notebook; the covers are very durable, the back is quite firm which allows you to write most anywhere without needing a firm surface to place the notebook on. I like the look of the pages; it's a grid of dots that helps you hold your writing and pictures from being crooked. In the bottom corner (left or right depends on whether you are on the "top" or "back" of the page) is a QR code, and along the bottom are a number of icons. These are used together by the e concept is that you can write in your notebook, scan the pages, wipe the pages clean, and reuse it "infinitely." It's a unbelievable concept - I can't imagine how much paper would be saved if all students used something like this instead of paper. My work involves a dozens of technical things that I'm constantly taking notes for. I go through a couple of 150 page notebooks a year. With the Rocketbook, I can scan my notes at the end of the week and wipe the pages ever, all is not as unbelievable as I'd like it to be. I know they did a lot of work trying to obtain the pages as paper-like as possible without sacrificing reusability, but it falls short. The pages seem somewhat glossy, and the Frixion pen (the "clicker" style - I think .5mm) struggles to work as well on the Rocketbook pages as it does on paper. It works, but it's not that great. The .7mm capped style Frixion pens I bought seem to work a bit better, but they still don't come close to writing as well as they do on paper. The pages also do not absorb the ink (I suppose that's part of the point). While Frixion pens are beautiful smudge free after just a few seconds, the ink stays wet for much longer on Rockebook e inside cover of the book has an index of the icons that are shown on each page, with zone for you to write what each icon represents (again, more about the application below), but the cover is very glossy, and the Frixion pens don't write well on it at all. I suppose it's not something they thought you'd be erasing - perhaps they thought you'd use a fine marker, or at least a various style pen... but I like to hold my options open, especially having had it such a short time, and may wish to change around how I do things, so I'd rather hold it about the app; firstly, this application is free. That's amazing - I think it should be after buying a $30 18 page notebook (for the executive style, counting pages like any normal notebook would count pages). So you need to sign up for an account, which I didn't have a issue with; I've been signed up for months and have not received any spam from them or their partners (I use the gmail "+rocketbook" trick, so I'd know if they were selling my email address). The application has two primary functions: scan and send. This is where, for each icon on the bottom of the pages, you can select where you wish your document to go. For example, the first icon is their small Rockebook insignia; in the application I configured that icon to save a PDF to a particular folder in my Google Drive account. A number of various services are supported, including DropBox, or you can configure it to send email to a particular account. On each page in your notebook, you check or "X" the icon representing what it is you're taking notes about, and when you scan in your notes, that's where they nning takes a small getting accustomed to. Definitely prefer a lot of light; the application tutorials you on centering up the page you wish to scan; it lets you know when it's scanning, and if it's good. You then immediately move on to the next page - you do not have to press a button to scan, you just position over the page, when it's amazing it scans, then you move onto the next page, and repeat until you're done. If you've configured to auto-send, it will do just that; otherwise, if you're satisfied with the scans, you tap the green check icon and it uploads to your accounts (or email, or whatever you configured). There's some magic in the scans - even if you were off angle or not centered up perfectly, the application uses the tutorials on the page to automatically correct for distortions and center up just your page. For whatever reason, when I scanned in the first six pages of notes I took this week, only on the latest page did it seem to struggle... it couldn't seem to search the top corners, the "correction" actually created the scan worse than if it had just taken it verbatim without editing. I was fairly straight on. Luckily, you can tap on the scanned photos and delete them and test again. All but the latest page scanned perfectly, and only when I moved to where lighting was slightly various (it was all fairly bright, though), was I able to capture the full page correctly.A few moments later, and I can look up the PDF in my Google drive account. Excellent.... just need to create sure you have really amazing lighting and a amazing angle on the e bottom line is it's a amazing idea; I like the styling and concept of the notebook. The pens are amazing whether you use them with Rocketbook or not; the application is excellent. The issue is in the paper. You could conceivably just print a bunch of their try pages (downloadable from their website); maybe even take the PDF to a printer and have them create a notebook for you. No idea how much that would cost. Alternative, Rocketbook DOES sell a regular paper "single use" notebook with 140 pages. I do not have one. Given the method they count pages, it might only be 70, which makes sense when compared to other "standard" spiral bound notebooks. Still, even at 140, the price they are asking puts the cost at over 10 cents a page. That doesn't seem very cost effective. In any event, either of these options defeats the ideal of saving paper.I will continue to use my Rocketbook. I like the results, I like having my dozens of notes stored in their own folders, in chronological order (the application will contain the date in the filename if you don't change it). I will continue trying both the .5mm and .7mm pens, and I may just use a sticky note inside the front cover to remind me of what my icons are linked to. I don't know if there's a amazing solution. Perhaps a decent smartphone computer (something that needs a quality active pen). Simply typing notes doesn't work for me - too a lot of diagrams and arrows pointing all over the put in my notes; additional notes scribbled in margins, etc. There's also the fact you can use Frixion highlighters, too, which is something the children need.If you feel the need to organize your notes "in the cloud," or really wish to save paper, this might be a amazing choice for you if you're willing to place up with something other than "real" paper. I've been using regular paper for decades, I've gotten accustomed to it; perhaps given time I can obtain accustomed to this.

Before I go any further, please allow me advise you all to ignore some tip included in one of the other reviews for this notebook. It is not recommended to use clear tape over the Table of Contents on the inside of the front cover. This damages the paint on the inside cover and renders the Table of Contents completely unusable. Please see the attached pic to see what sort of hurt this can cause. Don't create the same mistake I intentions for this journal was to provide me a more personal method to journal while also not wasting paper. It was meant to replace a diary, planner, and a school notebook. In most respects, it has achieved that.[Pros]- Way of erasing pages is efficient- Scanning papers into the application is easy- Scans are clean and simple to read[Cons]- Odd sizing for the smaller ver of this notebook makes it difficult to search a cover for it, and the cover it ships with is of very not good quality.- Paint on the cover is very easily removed- The cover is warping out of shape, and I have only had this book for a month.- You're limited in pen size and pen r day to day use, this reusable notebook is a head above the competition, and I'm completely happy with both the quality of the scans and the ease with which the scans are completed. I believe that with a better cover, this notebook would easily become a 5/5 product. I'm considering rebinding it, and will modernize this review if I do choose to do so.

I've had my "Rocketbook Everlast" for about two months now. I take dozens of notes for work, and I figured this would be cheaper than going through a traditional notebook every month or two. And those notebooks take up quite a bit of zone after a while. I work in a financial office, so having good-looking tools for my work is necessary to me.---------This product has two main physical components: interior pages, and a cover. Created of various materials. At first glance this might seem beyond silly to point out, but the difference is what brought my review down to only three e interior pages are wonderful, sturdy and durable. I give them a solid five stars for quality, and three for quantity. They're tough, tear-resistant, and easily erased with a damp cloth or paper towel as advertised. I use my Rocketbook five days a week, erase it around once a week, and when wiped clean the pages look amazing as new. Scanning them into my phone is beautiful simple, and very fast once you obtain the hang of it. When it takes multiple tries to scan, it's because of user error or poor lighting, not the app's fault. Setup for how and where to send the photo files is a breeze.I'd love to have more of them so I wouldn't have to erase as often... but since I've never run out in a single day, this isn't THAT much of an problem for me e front cover, however, I have a issue with. It seems to be created of a heavier ver of the inside paper, and is starting to present signs of wear far faster than the rest of the book. The matte black finish is scraped through in a couple spots and showing its white core, and there are a few other scuff marks. Most of these appeared in the first couple weeks, before I started storing it between two other books in my bag to protect it. The back cover is a sturdy, rigid, lightly textured plastic sheet that also still looks amazing as new. Could the front cover someday be created of something similar, with the "table of contents" page being the next page in?If you don't care how your notebook looks, this won't be an problem for you. School notes or private use, I wouldn't care if it got visibly beat up as long as my work inside was kept intact. However for my purposes I wish my work tools to look new and professional, so seeing the cover become superficially worn much faster than the rest of the book is a large is is the only thing stopping me from giving Rocketbook Everlast an enthusiastic five stars. With a name like "Everlast" I expected more.

I loved the idea of this notebook, but I had a few major problems with it. Would have tried to hold using it but the cons we're just too much:Pros:- scanning/app we're great, a amazing method to stay organized- light dot pattern is really nice for bullet journaling- not a large massive notebook to carry around- fits into most of my bags easily- can fix mistakes with a wet tissueCons:- it's really the pens that create this work, not the book- writing takes forever to dry, the highlighters we're even worse on this, not drying even overnight (worked fine on regular paper)- smudge smudge smudge!!- after wiping away, there is still a ghost of all of my writing- washing the whole notebook is a pain and you have to begin it to dry each page individually- if you wipe too hard, you destroy the surface of the pages and it doesn't work afterwards

The ink reacts poorly with heat. If you leave this notebook anywhere outdoors, in a hot car, storage unit, suitcase, etc, the ink will disappear. I left this notebook in my car, and all of my notes were unreadable the next day. Please be careful buying this if you live in a warm climate.

Pen doesn't work n is anywhere from iffy to unreadable. I need to write very slow and massive to create the pen leaves thick, solid lines for the photo or pdf to be nnot obtain the bundle option to work. I set it to on but still obtain multiple pdfs. Have tried with multiple destinations(google, email, onedrive) and multiple icons.I accidently picked up the wrong pen for one try page and have a page that I can't erase. That page does look and scan better than the pages with the correct pen.

Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook - Dot-Grid Eco-Friendly Notebook with 1 Pilot Frixion Pen & 1 Microfiber Cloth Included - Midnight Blue Cover, Executive Size (6" x 8.8") review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook - Dot-Grid Eco-Friendly Notebook with 1 Pilot Frixion Pen & 1 Microfiber Cloth Included - Midnight Blue Cover, Executive Size (6" x 8.8") review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook - Dot-Grid Eco-Friendly Notebook with 1 Pilot Frixion Pen & 1 Microfiber Cloth Included - Neptune Teal Cover, Executive Size (6" x 8.8") review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook - Dot-Grid Eco-Friendly Notebook with 1 Pilot Frixion Pen & 1 Microfiber Cloth Included - Neptune Teal Cover, Executive Size (6" x 8.8") review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook - Dot-Grid Eco-Friendly Notebook with 1 Pilot Frixion Pen & 1 Microfiber Cloth Included - Neptune Teal Cover, Executive Size (6" x 8.8") review [Book]  2019-12-3 18:3

I LOVE the item in theory. However, I push hard when I write. Doing so with this item could hurt it. Also, you have to wait 15 seconds for the ink to dry. In my business, I don't have time for that! I take notes, and QUICKLY. Smearing will NOT increase my efficiency. I love the green aspect of it, but, I will have to wait for the next gen that's a small tougher. For the price, I would hate to ruin it! I gave it to my fiance who is much more gentle than me...

LOVING my Mini so far! I've been a proud user of the Everlast Executive for months now and I was so excited when I saw Rocketbook started making a travel version. I'm constantly on the go (who isn't...), so the smaller size goes right in my pocket or the front of my backpack. And I was also psyched that I can send notes from both Rocketbook's to the same cloud services with the same Rocketbook application account. Thanks Rocketbook! Please continue your infinite voyage!Rocketbook Everlast Mini Intelligent Reusable Notebook

This notebook functions like 44 dry erase boards in your pocket. As a nursing student, I write down dozens of info that I typically never need to see again after my shift. About once a week, I like to wipe this notebook clean so that it’s new for the next week. Anything worth keeping (for example, questions to ask or look up later, notes on a specific pathology or hints from other nurses and my teacher) I digitize and send to my favorite cloud folders. If I could use a smartphone for all my clinical paperwork and charting, I would but this is the next best thing for me. Because the pages wipe clean, I don’t have to worry about shredding. I do test not to press hard to hold the pages lasting longer but haven’t noticed a lot of problems so far. I definitely am getting my use out of it! I’ve also purchased my mom one for Christmas and one for a nursing mate as well. If you go through a lot of pages each day, you might consider keeping a little spray bottle the size of a lipstick to spray the microfiber cloth and wipe clean as required on the go.

I’m a waitress and I use this to replace traditional notebooks. It’s got 44 front and back pages, and I only need to clean it every couple shifts. It’s so much more efficient, and now I don’t have to worry about running out of paper at work anymore. Can’t recommend it enough. I’ve had several coworkers mention that they’re interested in getting one for themselves.

This is my first Rocketbook, so I really have nothing to compare it with. I got it for note-taking with my self-study courses, so that I can study during the day, upload my notes, and then display them on Google Drive at night on the computer. However, of the 3 pages I have uploaded, 2 are beautiful much legible but the third one is not. It could be simply the larger ball size of the pen, because I write really, REALLY little (I have to buy my own pens for work: Pilot G2 Ultra Fine 0.38 because I simply cannot write bigger). I did buy some smaller pens, but they turned out to be an Asian knockoff and ran out of ink in no time. I will have to obtain some true Pilot Frixion pens and test again. I will modernize then.Otherwise, erasing is simple (a small water), scanning and uploading is easy, so the Rocketbook itself seems fine. I will reserve opinion on the application until I can obtain pens more suited to my writing style.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Rocketbook Everlast Mini. For one, I appreciated the fact that the Mini is the same size as the friction pen. Being able to carry both makes for an simple travel and keeps everything organized (since you need the friction pen for the device to work). Moreover, the size is convenient for storage. You can fit the Mini in a huge hoodie pocket (or for the more professionally inclined, an outer suit jacket pocket). That said, may be a tight squeeze for jeans or a suit pant pocket. An extra note for potential buyers, you will need to download the mobile application to shop and upload (to the cloud) any notes you take on the device. Overall, I've been satisfied with the purchase thus far.

Bought this as an adjunct to the Rocketbook Everlast Executive Size. Absolutely love this product. Tough and holds up in my pocket with everyday use. Some scratches on the cover, but that's cosmetic. Works perfectly and lets me hold all my temporary todo and everyday lists. This helps tremendously with my organization.

I was very excited to finally purchase a note pad that I could reuse over and over again. At home I take reminder notes and at work especially, it is quite advantageous to use this little notepad for info EVER, it is not reusable as it says. I have an assortment of Frixion Erasable pens with points 0.5 (comes with pad) and 0.7 (thicker and better for writing) and after a few instances, the pens would not write on this coated paper. I tried writing softly to reduce or avoid damaging the paper and the coating. I tried wiping it softly with water and the micro fiber piece it came with. After 2 or 3 times, I noticed it would not take the ink. I tried using the pens on regular paper and it wrote perfectly. I then tried to write SLOWLY on the rocket pad and it worked for a bit. But REALLY...who the hell writes slow to take notes?! The point of this is to take notes quickly and easily.I am thoroughly disappointed I wasted $16.00+ dollars on a piece of GARBAGE that ultimately forced me to use a regular pad which I simply erased and reused more times that I have with this “reusable” green ey really need to work on making the coating permanent and less prone to being removed. How the hell are people supposed to write dark enough if we can press down like on normal ncerely,Ken – EXTREMELY disappointed

I love Rocketbook. I’ve gotten two of my mates to use Rocketbook since I’ve gotten my first one. You download the application and scan pages and upload it to any cloud based platform as a pdf. They have and are continuously improving their transcribing. All around awesome product and company. I’m trying to go as green and zero waste as I can and this helps immensely.

Rocketbook Color Smart Reusable Coloring Notebook - Eco-Friendly Cloud Connected Notebook Works with Dry Erase Markets & Crayons review [Book]  2019-11-29 18:4

Worked ok but there are a few things of note:1. The Crayola Crayons for the dry erase do not apply well to the slick surface. Some of the darker colours are fine but a lot of don't lay down the pigment very well.2. The Crayola Markers for the dry erase lay down bright, clear colours and give amazing line control. The colours, when still wet, will bleed into a lighter coloured marker and will smear. You can obtain some interesting effects that method but random brushes with the had or a sleeve may smear or disturb the line.3. The photo is VERY sensitive to shadow and light when capturing the image.

Rocketbook Color Smart Reusable Coloring Notebook - Eco-Friendly Cloud Connected Notebook Works with Dry Erase Markets & Crayons review [Book]  2019-11-29 18:4

My daughter received a Rocketbook Color for her birthday and it is now my go-to bonus for any kid's birthday. Small kids, huge kids, and children at heart will love it. It travels really well (great activity for an airplane trip!) and saves a ton of paper. My daughter loves asking me to send her creations to her email account. Eventually I'll take her scans and make a Shutterfly book of her art. The only problem is that we have multiple Rocketbook users in our home and the children use the same application as the adults. This means that 2 of the symbols for destinations have to be dedicated to the kid users, which reduces the adult users destination options. It would be nice if you could have multiple users within the scan app. The Crayola Dry Erase markers work fantastically with the book, but any dry erase marker would work fine.

Rocketbook Color Smart Reusable Coloring Notebook - Eco-Friendly Cloud Connected Notebook Works with Dry Erase Markets & Crayons review [Book]  2019-11-29 18:4

Purchased three various rocketbook products. This is the only one I wasn't as satisfied with though I still feel it merits a 5 star review because it is still a product that works very well. It's a more solid plastic type page that takes the crayons or dry erase markers. Yes, you could obtain the same or related effects with a dry erase board - however it wouldn't be as portable, and wouldn't have the same type of drawing area. The first pages were blank, then toward the back it has the wide lined/dotted pages for writing practice and the two grid pages. It's a sturdy book that would work very well as a portable dry erase board. The seller states either dry erase markers or crayons, my one caution with this (that I have yet to test) is that these may smear a bit when the books are closed when using the dry erase the other Rocketbook products it has the QR readers at the bottom and larger size symbols for each of the scan/upload s, you may be able to do something related to what this does with office lens with the application using dry erase boards. However, it wouldn't have the same function as far as how it cleans up and it wouldn't have the writing recognition software or the function to automatically save it to dropbox, email or a dozens of other locations. Rocketbook's application (which is free, and of course designed to work with these) allows you to automatically send your photos from the book as a PDF or JPEG image, bundle scan it (so multiple pdf or jpeg images) automatically send it when you're done with a scan (not available with bundle scans since obviously with a bundle scan you will just wish it to send when you're done with the bundle). I'm not sure that you'd use the function with this set since it is more geared for kids, but there's also an option for animated gifs that can be selected for these books when scanned with their app.Overall the book is a amazing quality and seems like it'd keep up to being thrown around a bit by a child.

Children should really have fun this art/handwriting notebook that allows them to be creative and to save their work to the cloud for posterity. Using Rocketbooks established application and photo scanning and transmission technology, this drawing/handwriting book can let for creativity and then the storage and transmission of the final product to nearly anyplace you could ever s are related to other Rocketbook products, but much slicker to work with Crayola washable products. We've only used this with Crayola's washable markers. The video about this product indicates that it works with all Crayola washable products, but we've only used washable markers. The markers write well on the material, but the ink in the marker tends to "pool" on the surface of the page. You don't have to vigoriously scrub on pages to remove the washable shop from the page. In fact you can run the entire book, page open, under a running faucet and the ink just washes away.We have not tried this product with the Crayola washable crayons. Again the video says they work with this product, but the instructions on the product packaging only mention the markers.Unlike other Rocketbook products, the pages are thick and slick, so I convinced that the Pilot Frixion pens will not work with this particular ver of is Rocketbook is very durable. I've mentioned the slick pages, but they are also very thick. There are a number of page patterns in the book, including blank pages, dot grid pages, lined pages, and handwriting practice pages. The book is fully submersible and seems impervious to just about anything you can throw at it. It has all the regular Rocketbook functionality and contains the filing marks and QR code on each page, related to other Rocketbook products and you use the same Rocketbook application with this notebook as with their previous notebooks.

Bought 3 for nephews from 4 to 10 years old and I have the Rocketbook XL. Amazing product. Portable no batteries or power required. Crayola dry erase markers work well with product. Erasable pens rip the pages. Havent tried the dry erase crayons yet. Kids can easily draw and erase pages. They need support with setting up and scanning pictures. Simple set up and use for adults. I recommend highly. Amazing for traveling. I bought storage clipboards for nephews and packed Color and markers in each. Boys can easily carry with them

My grandson loves to color and this is excellent for him. He's coming with his mom and dad to visit me this weekend and I bought this for him to hold him entertained and am hopeful this will work for him so there's less iPad screen time and more old fashioned fun.BUT.....one of the corners of a page came with the plastic peeling up. I immediately messaged the company and haven't received a notice back and there isn't enough time to return it before they come. It's one of those things that my grandson will message and probably pick at which will render that page useless.I hope this is a fluke in the production and quality control for this company. I'd really like a replacement but like I said, there's just not enough time to send it back and wait for the replacement.I'll modernize this review after they visit.

This is a handy product. I use to go through a lot of paper with notes that I need to create for work. All of this paper eventually winds up in recycling at the end of the week. Now, I scan the notes automatically to my work email as a back up. When my Wave book is full, I just "cook" the book and reuse it. No more waste (even if it is recycled). When I no longer need the notes, I just delete the electronic copy.

Absolutely love it! I gives me the best of both worlds! Physically writing notes at work helps me note efficiently and comprehend what's being talked about- especially if I'm drawing or mind mapping. In a traditional notebook, finding those notes later is daunting and I dont wish to retype the notes on my computer. Journaling (by physically writing) is meditative to me too. I love having the flexibility to draw or write whatever comes to mind and being able to archive my thoughts online.

It seems to work well right now, but what is it gonna look like if the company folds or stops supporting the app. I love it so far. It lets me utilize handwriting notes without wasting paper.

Works really well. Amazing app, really easy and intuitive. No clutter. Notepad itself is amazing too. Simple to wipe pages. Only issue I had was the frixion pen provided which wasn't writing well. I simply replaced the cartridge and all was well again with smooth writing.

This has revolutionized my ability to stay orgainzed. It will be really neat to see how various tags are built out. For example, I love the ## for setting the title of the page, but it would be amazing to use other symbols to create things calendar happenings and reminders.

I really have fun this! having this notebook/program really reduces my paper usage. The application component is really simple to use and you don't have to worry about centering the pages, they fix themselves. The writing comes out clear and the method it automatically puts files into your individual drive folders is incredibly helpful.

one of the best "practical" products / tools i have used professionally over the years. can take notes easily, sync in cloud to project folders, and all squad members can access. also amazing with no need carrying around more than one note book. could use a 14 -20 more pages in the rocketbook though.

I am a coach and love this thing. it's amazing for doodle sessions and playbook creating. If I could create a suggestion, create pages that come with a football field on it. That would be really nice.

So far i like it. I [email protected]#$%! could transcribe my hand writing but i guess thats asking for miracles. it does a decent job at transcribing caps so I blame it on my poor graphy.

Would be nice if login restart application to preferred destinations, but otherwise, this is the only method I take notes now. Ingenious.

This application makes organizing my notes so easy! i just snap a picture of my notes with this app, rename the files and they are quickly sent to Google Dive (or wherever you choose,), and filed in folders for me. I love it!

I have had this small beauty for about a couple of weeks now and I am very excited about this application and combination with the notebook! If you take a lot of written notes, this will become invaluable!

It works but every time I reset the app, it has to initialize every time. (Splash screen, home page, etc) even when I don't begin any fresh apps. 8GB ram should be plenty...
