In today's society, it's hard for most people to imagine life without private computers and the Internet. Public access to the Internet may be responsible for more changes in the method we carry out our day-to-day lives than any other happening in history. Today, businesses without www services are rarities, as are people in the free globe that don't spend at least part of their day using the Internet for one purpose or another.
I was referred by a mate to check this book out for support with creating contact forms.Upon reading I realized I was getting so much more...Plenty of information on scripting/programming fundamentalswith plenty of code supplied. I really liked the copy and paste options. I will refer to this book often!
This is a very interesting book for Beginners who'd like to explore what-the-heck PHO is and how it might apply to you. I learned that it is all about Web development, esp. In the zone of blogs! Since I went in knowing absolutely nothing, not even what the acronym stands for, I am very impressed.
I have a CIS degree and PHP is a very sought after skill in my field. I literally had one course that taught PHP so I've been looking to brush up on this skill. I found this book to be easy to under and everything was very well explained. This is a really amazing tutorial for beginners.
I used to work with PHP and CSS a small bit with my WordPress pages but never got any formal training for it. This was a amazing refresher for the PHP syntax and some of the other things I forgot to do (like embedding PHP). This will definitely come in use as a handy reference tutorial when I need it as I jump back into PHP. Recommended for anybody wanting to obtain a fast grasp on PHP fundamentals!
This is a amazing tutorial to teach the newcomer how to write code for a web site. I am a complete novice but this topic has intrigued me for a while and after reading this book, I have a much better grasp of the subject. Well written with lots of content. Well done!
would love to rate it higher, but as previously mentioned no method to edit or make characters yet. Secondly not sure if special to me but all of the books that i do have bought i cannot download. It will flash the download bar for a split second then it disappears and just says downloading. If i leave it and come back to it in 5 mins, 10 mins, even an hour later it will either still say downloading. Or it will restart back to download.
As a beta, it functions as described. It's a digital reader, and a amazing tool to have on the go if, like me, you're a DM or player who wants to brush up on rules or campaign settings. It is NOT an app-version of the full website. Here's my reasons for an average star-rating: 1. Some of the in-text links are not formatted correctly, and lead nowhere. This appears to auto-report when it happens though. 2. This application has no option of deleting individual downloads to free storage space.
Would be 5 starts except there is no method to work with your characters in this app. A huge reason for this website is to manage your characters, yet you can't even see them with this app. I will just use the internet website from my phone rather than use this app. Amazing application for information, that you need to pay for.
I dn't knw wht's going on wth the dvlpmnt of ths app. A rcnt modernize brought the ablty to actlly read yr dwnlded books, and to nvgte within them. The current updte, though, has rvrted to utter uselessness. Prssng on the Primary Rules cvr img, for exmple, brings me to a page headed "Diseases". Thr's a sub-hdng for Sample Diseases, which prvdes 3 example diseases. Tht's the sum-total of evrythng accssble in the Primary Rules bk wthout usng the Find feature. Dec 21 update: no change, still broken.
I can't view my characters which is the only reason I downloaded this app. Not to mention you have to physically download every single thing you view on the website instead of just being able to view it like you can in the site. What's the point of this app? It does literally nothing but take up space.
I like this application and it's beautiful useful, but some of the monsters for looking up info on, like the Dracolich or the Young Red Shadow Dragon, makes the app crash. Not sure how a lot of other creatures this application does that crash result to but, I do hope this issue is fixed soon.
Will not and is not able to download the primary rules, spent half the day attempting ... It keeps stopping, halting and cutting off it's own download. The internet connection is not the issue in this case. Plus I have most the hard cover books & have to pay basically full price, again for books i have to use with an app.
will create 5 stars when I can use this application to shop my hero sheets. I'm on a note 9 and all I obtain is a library of books, doesnt support to have said library when I have to run your www service and discord and this application to manage my character. please do somethi g about this
Simple to use and i like the immediacy of having the newspaper in my hands when I wake up. However there is an odd glitch as sometimes when I switch back to application later, it has an earlier day's edition of the paper loaded which is weird (and confusing)
Generally good. Seems to download the newspaper quite quickly but then a page will begin and not let you to see the whole page unless you wait a while. It happened before on my old Samsung smartphone and DT told me it was because the smartphone was an old version. Well it's started event again on a smartphone less than a year old so there must be another reason for it.
Overall quite good. While reading on a phone, it would be nice to be able to zoom in on the cartoons in order to read them And it's frustrating that if you accidentally change pages due to your finger not moving exactly along a vertical axis, when you return to your page, you're at the beginning, not at the point you'd got to.
As a subscription application it needs to work better than it does. Failing to load, locking and the inability to scroll are common features. Despite reloading the application nothing has really changed. I see no amazing reason to renew my subscription based on my current experience. Hopefully, the software developer will fix the unwanted "features" sometime soon. However, I am not holding my breath. Reasonable content allow down by not good application.
Beautiful good, except scrolling often stalls for a while (on phone, iPad and Android device tablet). Also, after breaking off to do something else it may continue from the latest page you were reading or revert to the start, annoyingly.
Works ok . stops working from time to time. My largest gripe is that when turning to the next page is getting the notice " sorry we are unable to display this page" . Clearly not a short term issue its a everyday oroblem that needs fixing. either begin to display the page contenrs or remove the pages in question .
When away from home it is very convenient to have the Telegraph available. However it is very frustrating because: - often pages will not scroll - can be achieved with repeated tapping of the screen - on most days it is very difficult to obtain the crossword to load - sometimes no amount of attempts to open, or closing and re-opening the application will effect in the crossword appearing - sometimes pages will not begin at all
Could use a find function so I don't have to manually look through past edition after edition and article after article searching for an article I wish to recommend to a friend. Another nice feature would be TTS text to speech (offline with a amazing choice of voice and fine speed control).
Amazing application but I'm dumping it anyway because nothing beats the feel of a true newspaper when your hands are free and the Times gives me digital plus newsprint for the same money! Modernize 31 May: I cracked. The DT is too amazing to do without, so it's a newsprint Times and a digital Telegraph from now on, both highly recommended .
some problems don't download properly with gaps and overlapping stories on my ageing iPad. I now have a fresh android device smartphone - I'll see how I obtain on. I would like to see more league tables on the rugby pages, very rare to see any. it would be unbelievable to have the general knowledge crossword on the app.
OK, but unstable. Frequently crashes, and downloading can be problematic. Sometimes cannot scroll unless smartphone is in flight mode. Sunday's paper had no "comment" section - just blank pages. Today's paper won't download at all. Very annoying
I have been using this application for several years. When it's firing on all cylinders it is tremendous, but it's had a few glitches along the way. Right now, presumably following an upgrade, it crashes a soon as you scroll down any story. So it's utterly unusable, in other words. For all I know there could be a meltdown in cabinet or rioting on the roads of Paris.
Don't ever bother giving feedback about the issues as every one of them is ignored. When it works it's OK, not amazing just OK as there are far too a lot of issues with the application including but not limited to: font sizes, spurious characters, non-standard back button action, sluggish page loading, Alex cartoon too little to read, unable to move storage to SD card, doesn't download automatically, doesn't remember your put when you come back to it, application crashing repeatedly, not to mention the 100s of ads loaded in each edition a lot of of them carefully placed to create sure you accidentally click them and probably one of the reasons for the excessive size. What I would suggest is never clicking on any ad. If it were free I'd understand the ads but this is a subscription app.
Stopped working as of 30 September. Just crashes. Reinstalling does not work. Very annoying for paid up subscriber. Modernize : 11.45 on 30 Sep . Seems someone at Telegraph HQ has got IT help to fix the issue; I can now read the paper once more. However recently the recent ver of this application has crashed frequently (on Samsung Galaxy Tab S2) So it only gets one star.
Frequently crashes, particularly when switching WiFi on and off (and in some circumstances when it restarts confusingly shows a page in a previous day's edition rather than where u left off). Scrolling down to see the rest of a story has also become a issue when WiFi (data?) is off, but starts working again when you switch it on. Sometimes if you wait long enough scrolling down will work. Suggests some attempt to use the network when you scroll that may time out. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2
A crisp, clear newspaper viewing application which is allow down by its usability. After downloading the newspaper you still need the internet to load the pages for the first time, for commuters this sometimes isnt possible due to poor networks and so youre screwed. if you back out from the newspaper and then return to it then you are returned to page one again. this is unbelievably annoying especially when the nature of the mobile phone means that you do this at least once every couple of minutes.
Really amazing app. Prefer this to the newer telegraph application as you obtain a whole everyday ver of the paper and you can go back to previous days. On the fresh application i cant search a method to go back to previous days and everything is lumped together. On this one there is a scroll thro the pages option to quickly see all the articles and select which one to read You do have to downliad it each day but i dont mind that.
As at 8Dec18 cannot read as touching any page causes it to close. Worked OK 7Dec this on Samsung Nexus 10. Galaxy 6 phone works ok but too little to read whole paper. Not the first time this ap crashes. Yes, it should be bullet proof by now and I still have to pay for non-readable edition. Unhappy bunny who has subscribed to the Telegraph for over 40 years
Until now i gave been really satisfied with the application but as of today it won't begin at all. Reinstalling makes no difference. This needs to be fixed as it is really disappointing having had such a amazing experience. I'd rather notvswitch back to The Times but need a paper for my commute.
Normally works fine, however unable to download today despite trying different methods. At least access to previous problems is available with wireless connection switched off. It's about time this application became more stable given the continued increase in subscription charges. Obtain people who know what they are doing!
Used this application for several years. When it works it is very amazing and simple to navigate. Main issue is stability and vertical scrolling on my Galaxy Android device smartphone which causes it to crash. If it does not improve soon I will reconsider my subscription.
Only one little quibble with this app; there's no option to access regional (Scottish) editions still have to rely on the paper edition for that, fix that and its definitely 5 stars. Otherwise a amazing application much easier than the print edition to handle in the car.
I am very happy with my premium digital subscription to The Telegraph. The application works well with early morning newspaper "delivery" and now that I can also access the full website online, I search it is really the only UK news website carrying true news and worth reading. Highly recommended.
First thing I do in the morning is to download the Telegraph. It's simple to do and the reading is simple to organise with the sections being simple to search using the contents button. I can always rely on the Telegraph for accurate reporting keeping me up to date with all the necessary issues.
This application is getting worse and worse - several problems unable to be opened and just time out and cannot be read no matter how long you wait. Seriously - subscriptions cost hundreds a year and customers should be able to read every paper they've purchased. Really poor app.
I have fun reading The Telegraph on my tablet. The content is improving, now including births and deaths and I hope that the quiz section will grow soon to contain the general knowledge crosswords on Saturday and Monday. Hold up the amazing work!
Application unusable on Galaxy Tab S and Galaxy Tab S4 since latest update. Crashes each time test to scroll down a page on any article. A seriously not good performance from the Telegraph. Doesn't work on Galaxy S8 either. Testing of Application updates clearly needs serious improvement!
