    A Very Merry Princess [Book]  2017-11-2 18:0

This was such a heartwarming hany wanted to know what it was like not to be treated as royalty. When she had a possibility to visit California, she did not , she would be Beth Smith instead of Princess Bethany of El de had been damage before by some snob socialite. He did not wish to obtain involved w/ those kinds of women time was too many! When he meets Beth Smith, he is instantly attracted. And an added bonus, she is just like the girl-next-door type of woman. When secrets are revealed, will Cade still risk his heart?I loved the storytelling.I was so glad that Cade was not the stubborn sort + went after always wins in the end.

I loved the first two seasons and purchased season three but where are some fresh episodes? And Kristen wants to be a lifestyle guru like LC yet she is still decorating with the cheesy farmhouse signs that say 'Christmas' and 'joy to the world?' I guess lots of chalk paint and a Live Love Laugh sign are on the horizon!!!

    A Very Merry Princess [Book]  2017-11-2 18:0

I just got tired of reading and reviewing some of the literary, suspense and crime novels on Amazon. So I sought out a SIMPLE, HEARTWARMING ROMANCE NOVEL with believable twists and situations. Like an Arabian princess falling in love with a Californian rancher dude. I knew I couldn’t go wrong with one written by Susan Mallery, highly recommended by Booklist: "Romance novels don't obtain much better than Mallery's expert blend of emotional nuance, humor, and superb storytelling."That first line assured me I had picked a winner: “De-princessing one’s life wasn’t the easiest thing in the world.” So Princess Bethany of El Bahar since age 12, now 26, early decided to support out as a groom in her King Dad’s horse stables. She loves horses more than being a princess! Her King Dad sells one of her favorite horses, Rida, to an American rancher. Bethany asks to go along to create sure Rida gets safely to the fresh hany doesn’t wish to go as royalty but as plain Beth Smith, a stable hand and horse groomer. She carries out her fresh identity well, so well that when she falls madly in love with rancher Cade on that ranch, complications follow, including “mad love.” From that arise a lot of natural and humorous as well as tense situations. But what will happen if Cade learns the truth? The author skillfully lays the groundwork for all plot developments so they're believable. But – not all plans work out as hoped for by either Bethany or Cade. Broken hearts—ah yes, that’s usually central to a amazing romantic novel.OK, I have a confession – in my early writing days I wrote and sold confessions and romance stories. I’m a dude who loves a well-turned romantic novel. This one is a topnotch one, an simple but engrossing read.

    A Very Merry Sixmas (The Six Series Book 7) []  2020-7-29 19:11

This book is the icing on the cake for the Sixmas Series. It brings all of the couples together in Opp, Alabama to celebrate Christmas. Sonya Loveday has written a charming, humorous, romantic and heartfelt story to bring closure to this e love and friendships between the original six and their spouses is everything a Christmas novella should be. The joy of the season is so exuberantly expressed by each couple in their ping and selection of gifts, the enjoyment of each other before a bonfire, singing carols, and the riotous decorating of the large Christmas tree together.I highly recommend this book to everyone. It will touch your heart with laughter, joy, and ahhh moments!

No amount of fresh HW's or changes to the existing cast will fix any of these shows, IMO. Now, this present is about a bunch of aging, sloppily drunk cruel woman. Enter a couple of younger women and they obtain flayed by the OG's. Really mean poor behavior. I obtain it's supposed to be different, but I can go to any mud puddle crummy bar and see this.Entire episodes are filled with absolute screaming and acting like fools. Not what it was in the beginning. It's over.

Where is the next EPISODE???And it’s real the present sucks. You have to have at least one person clever enough to be the Greek chorus (Bethany) otherwise the rest are just too sad. Yeah it’s sort of fun watching a bunch of materialistic drunks who somehow fumbled into reaching the upper crust, And I liked that they were older and still fun and sloppy but now it’s gotten too sloppy. Now it’s depressing like must of our own lives, but ok I hung in there, bc hey it’s a pandemic!!! I’m grateful just to see nice houses and people going out to dinner! even a vehicles on the roads lol but???? WHERE ARE THE NEXT EPISODES? All this cash is created from it and they can’t even crank out another one?We love these gals now, I’d hang in there even if it has turned into a substance abuse denial-fest, BUT WHAT HAPPENED? Is it too hard to film? Did the pandemic hit in middle of filming?Codependent trust fund girl with acoa issuesAlcoholic narcissist #1, and alcoholic narcissist #2 w rage problems projecting her shadow on number 1, woman from abusive childhood who bites everyone and cries about how much it damage when her dad did it to her.... it’s oddly epic. But still someone has to be able to frame it or it just is too much like.... um I think narcissism is actually co-dependency on the flip side. It’s still trying to feel your worth through others. Bravoooooo come on, save the present and crank ‘em out we need em!WHERE IS THE NEXT SHOW????

One of my favorite shows and a definite guilty pleasure! I love having these Bravo shows on my amazon prime, only problem is that Bravo will forget or delay the release of an episode ever once in a while. When it happens it’s usually for 3 to 4 days and that totally screws up my schedule. By the time it’s release on amazon, I’ve always watched the entire episode on clips or posts on IG. Totally ruins my experience.

I love this cast with the exception of one jealous sour apple who can spoil a amazing time for everybody, season after season, over and over again. It's sad to see someone become mentally unravelled, but when that person is cruel, rude, nasty, and jealous, I cannot search sympathy for them. I liked Dorinda briefly a few seasons back despite her classlessness - and jealousy toward Sonja, Luann, and Tinsley - but now she has become unwatchable. When Aviva was on this present I would fast-forward through her scenes as she gave me a stress ball in my stomach whenever she was on. Slurinda is now having the same result on me and I'll fast-forward through her scenes as well. It's too poor because the rest of the cast is so amazing this year, hence the five stars.

For Bravo to take advantage of an alcoholic who has had a not good relapse not just in public but on camera is shameful. Is that the best entertainment you can come up with? No wonder Leah's mother can't speak. Her daughter is a mother of a teenager and a prominent business owner who probably has lost the respect of everyone. And the worst part is it is not her fault, she has a disease, a DISEASE, and you certainly did nothing to support her, you sat back and filmed it, Her not good daughter will hear about it from mean children in school, for sure.I hope she comes to and sues you Bravo, but I am sure she signed her life away with some fine print do you keep the camera and continue to movie while a women falls to pieces in front you.I feel ashamed I ever watched and I will not again.

The ladies are getting too long in the tooth. They are drunk, evil and were so mean to not good Tinsley. It's painful to watch Luanne drink again and Dorina needs to see a therapist. I don't have fun with this present anymore or have fun it. RHONY use to be about going to fashion week, hosting charity happenings and living life large. Now the are in the lame Berkshires for days on end. They even tried to bring back Heather Thomas. Talk about a lame snooze fest. I won't be watching them anymore.

Dorinda is a train wreck. Her not good me routine continues. No one else is allowed to have issues because the loss of her husband is still method worse than what anyone else could possibly fathom. She's a loudmouth bully and I now quick forward through her crap. Tinsley is indeed an airhead and super whiny and annoying but doesn't deserve the vitriol she's getting this season. Ramona... I just can't handle watching her anymore. She's just super hard to take. Such grandiosity. Such selfishness. Such an annoying voice. Just eww. I miss Bethany ~ the smartest funniest woman from the NY franchise. This will likely be the latest season I care to watch. Wake up Bravo. A bunch of us jumped ship from the Bev Hills franchise after latest season. Looks like we're headed that direction in NY. OVER IT.

This season is painful to watch...can't believe how Sonja acts out loud like a two year old when drunk (last season also) and Leah's voice is irritating and just doesn't blend with the mix and now with Tinsley going who does she have there? Ramona's girlfriend with the dark hair...not crazy about her either...its a mixed up year and so I am going back and really enjoying the earlier seasons. I'm always have fun Ramon because lets face it ...she broke the mold ... Luann likes attention and to shine and Dorinda has to figure some things out for herself. Not gonna miss Tinsley really...she could not relate to the women but so satisfied she is with Scott.

    A Very Special Christmas 2 []  2020-1-23 2:55

This year before Christmas when I went to look for my Christmas albums where I hold them, over 1/2 of them were gone, including A Very Unique Christmas 1, 2, & 3! I kept thinking they were lost in the wrapping paper and bonuses but they never turned up. So I absolutely HAD to buy all 3 again. I think they cost me $4 each w/ shipping which is cheaper than I could have downloaded them. So next year Christmas will be more Christmas-y again.

    A Very Special Christmas 2 []  2020-1-23 2:55

The value of the "A Very Unique Christmas" albums is at least partly to be found in the knowledge that the albums raise cash for the eminently amazing cause of Unique Olympics. Accordingly, one can feel amazing about buying this album, whether for others or for one's own collection, knowing that the cash is going in a socially positive direction, in the spirit of the Christmas season. The first album set the bar quite high, with exceptional contributions by U2, Bruce Springsteen, the Pretenders, John Mellencamp, and Bob Seger, among others, and the second album in the series, logically called "A Very Unique Christmas 2," generally holds up to the high standards set by its e album starts off very well, with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' "Christmas All Over Again." This energetic, cheerful song benefits from the manner in which the distinctive clang of Petty's Rickenbacker guitar, particularly on the solo, takes on a bell-like sound that blends well with the bells in the background. (I'm not sure why Petty, heard sotto voce in the background at the end of the song, asks Santa for a fresh Rickenbacker; the old one sounds excellent.) This album dates from 1992, when Randy Travis was the king of country music, so it's no surprise that he was asked to contribute his own ver of "Jingle Bell Rock." This Nashville-tinged ver of the song is fine, if relatively conventional, and taking it up half a step at the end really doesn't do much to change things.I like Luther Vandross's "The Christmas Song." It has a mellow, optimistic feel, and really takes off when the saxophone comes in. Frank Sinatra and Cyndi Lauper then pair up for a retro-jazz-flavored rendition of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town." Both are in fine voice, though Cyndi almost sounds a bit star-struck in the presence of the man from Hoboken. I'm glad that Frank got the possibility to contribute to one of these albums before his 1998 passing. Frank and Cyndi are followed by Boyz II Men's "The Birth of Christ," a smooth and atmospheric narrative song of Jesus' birth, sung a-cappella with no accompaniment except for finger-snapping -- stylish and n Bon Jovi, who seems to be a really amazing sport about contributing to lots of holiday albums (along with a wide range of other philanthropic activities as well), provides a fine rendition of Charles Brown's "Please Come Home for Christmas," with a nice guitar solo at the end. I'm partial to the Eagles' ver of this song myself, but JBJ does a amazing job here. Paul Young's "What Christmas Means to Me" features upbeat delivery with a Motown sound. Aretha Franklin's "O Christmas Tree" is slow, stately, and horn-based, and is also distinguished by a spoken-word interlude in which the Queen of Soul takes pains to remind us, "in our gift-giving and our merriment," of "the true and real meaning of Christmas -- the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." How you feel regarding Ms. Franklin's exhortation may depend upon your own religious and philosophical beliefs. On a less serious note, Ronnie Spector and Darlene Love follow with a fine duet on "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," featuring a 1950's sound and some lovely saxophone work. Ms. Love's Christmastime performances on David Letterman's late-night talk shows have been a holiday staple for a lot of years now, and therefore her presence on this album is doubly welcome. And then there is Michael Bolton's "White Christmas." What can I say? "Must...not...be...mean..." Mr. Bolton and his work have been so mercilessly savaged by so a lot of critics for so a lot of years that I do not feel inclined to pile on. Besides, doing so would *not* be in the holiday spirit. Therefore, I will simply say that Mr. Bolton's rendition of this song is not to my taste, and leave it at that. It does sound like something that might have been sung on a 1960's Christmas dozens unique -- "Rowan and Martin's Christmas," "Sonny and Cher's Christmas," that sort of thing. If such is your musical inclination, perhaps you will have fun -D.M.C.'s fun and energetic "Christmas Is" reminds me that these hip-hop artists who got their begin in the early 1980's have shown a remarkable degree of staying power. "Give up the dough on Christmas, yo!" After that, Extreme, with "Christmas Time Again," provides what might be termed a Christmas power ballad. With piano, church organ, and synthesizer being layered atop rich harmonies, it definitely has that big-hair 1980's "wall of sound" quality, with the band's request that the listener "pretend that it'll latest all year," and a bit from "The First Noel" at the end.I like Bonnie Raitt and Charles Brown's "Merry Christmas Baby." It unfolds slowly, with a fine bluesy quality. Both artists are in perfect voice and seem to be having fun, and blues piano and electric guitar provide effective supporting texture. And considering how many, a lot of artists have covered this Charles Brown song, it's amazing to hear Mr. Brown singing it himself. Tevin Campbell then offers a relatively gentle, muted, straightforward delivery of "O Holy Night," something that I appreciate considering how a lot of artists seem to treat this song as an excuse to indulge in high-register wailing until windows begin to rmer teen-pop star Debbie Gibson's "Sleigh Ride" has a definite Phil Spector Christmas-album sound to it. Vanessa Williams offers a clear and direct, slightly jazzy delivery of "What Kid Is This?" Ann and Nancy Wilson then provide a fine, country-tinged rendition of "Blue Christmas" where piano and slide guitar work well together. I'm not sure why they didn't call themselves Heart for this recording; was it that their usual backup musicians were not around, or were they concerned that Heart fans would expect a ver of "Blue Christmas" that sounded like "Barracuda" or "Crazy on You"? Hard to say.Just writing the name "Wilson Phillips" puts one back in the globe of early-90's pop. I wasn't expecting much from their ver of "Silent Night," but it has clear harmonies and more of a rock-ish sound than I would have expected from Wilson Phillips; so, amazing for them. A true highlight of the album, for me, is its final song, Sinéad O'Connor's "I Believe in You." Recall that this album was released in the same year, even the same month (October 1992), in which O'Connor made controversy by tearing up a picture of Pope John Paul II on "Saturday Night Live" as a protest versus abuse within the Catholic Church; consequently, a lot of listeners in the time of the album's release may not exactly have been listening to it in the full Christmas spirit. That being said, I think O'Connor does a very fine job with this Bob Dylan song. The delivery of the song's graceful music is stark, simple, and honest -- just O'Connor and a piano, with a clarinet coming in quietly at the end. There's a fine quality of emotion in the method O'Connor delivers lines like "I believe in you, even though I'll be outnumbered." It's a amazing method to end the is album has more of a pop quality when compared with the original, more rock-oriented "A Very Unique Christmas" from 1987. I'm more of a rock fan, and therefore I tend to like the first album better. Nonetheless, this album will sound fine in the background during your family's future holiday celebrations, and it is comforting to know that the cash goes to support people with intellectual disabilities -- something much more necessary than whether I liked this song or didn't like that song.

This is one of my favourite Christmas CD's. I had listened to it as a child and as an adult I had to go seek it out so I had my own copy. The mix is great, and the songs (minus one or two) are all extremely well written and composed. I highly suggest it to anyone, but particularly those that love Christmas music.

The duet of Ronnie Spector and Darlene Love singing "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" is definitely one of the top five exciting Christmas performances of all time and easily justifies the cost of this album. The remainder of the album is beautiful weak, but there will probably be a few other tracks that appeal to any particular taste.

Best Holiday RomCom I’ve read in awhile. Kudos Ms. Haining for giving us a well written Hilarious storyline. I found myself laughing throughout at the banter and antics of the Faith, Hunter, Zee and Coop. If you can imagine the craziness of Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation meeting the antics of Home Alone with Secret Santa and Lots of romance thrown in, you might understand the hilarity the foursome finds themself eat read! I highly recommend grabbing it up, curling up in your favorite reading spot and simply enjoying it.2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars!

I think I've said before I'm not a large Christmas fan but amazing God do I wish to sent Christmas with these characters. From the shenanigans they managed to obtain themselves into, to the love they feel for each other, I wanted it all to be true so I can bask in their presence. Oh, Faith and Hunter! Still adorable even in their wedded bliss. Faith still manages to hold us laughing as she stumbles her method through every situation. This novella tells us of their first holidays together, the bumps they encounter with both Faith's dad and Hunter's mom, the volatile relationship between Zee and Coop, and some antics only this group of mates could dream up. The Secret Santa shenanigans are bound to leave you laughing as they each dream up the most embarrassing bonuses possible. But the tender sweet moments between Hunter and Faith remind us all just how much we enjoyed their romance in Fumble. A Very Fumbling Christmas is a delightful addition to their story with lots of Christmas cheer and a wee bit of naughty with no coal involved.

They set a wager with their best mates Coop and Zee for hilarious secret santa fun. The bonuses are going to surprise you as much as the recipients. I loved this group in Fumble and this novella will create you love them even more. This is a quick, simple read but you need to read Fumble first for a lot of it to create sense.

Nothing ever goes the method Faith wants it to especially with her clumsiness but Hunter is there to pick up the pieces. This was such a fun read. This is a fun small story, especially if your kid likes the original "Pout-Pout [email protected]#$%!&[email protected]'s a amazing read, the same style and illustrations as the original, just not quite as catchy as the original was. I was expecting something a small more memorable, but perhaps I've just read the original Pout-Pout fish so a lot of times that it's committed to memory and its successors can't live up to it.

I love the original Pout Pout Fish book and have yet to search a kid that I’ve read it to that didn’t feel the same way. This book, not as much. The things that create the original Pout Pout so great, like the rhyme scheme and tempo aren’t there in the Christmas Pout Pout Book. There’s also nothing like the repetitive part of the original with the whole “I’m a Pout Pout fish with a Pout Pout face...” and the “Blub, Bluuub, Bluuuuuuub.” Those two parts are what always seems to create the original a champion with kids. That’s what makes if funnti read and listen to. This book still has funny pictures and s amazing message, but it’s really not much various from any other book out there with funny pictures and a message. It’s kinda just meh.

We are a large fan of the pout pout fish book series. This book reminds me more of the pout pout fish in the huge huge dark, if your familiar with that one... I say that because it's lengthier and tells a amazing story (some of the pout pout fish books only have a few words per page - not the case here!). As always, amazing illustrations and most importantly, the story line is great. The story teaches that you don't need to buy extravegant bonuses for your mates for them to be unique - you can create something or give from the heart and your mates will love it that much more! Amazing story any time of year, not just Christmas time.

Nice set of Holiday films. My favorite of the bunch is "The Christmas Ornament". However the other movies are worth watching. "A Very Merry Mix-Up" runs a close 2nd as for being the best of this set. The weakest movie is "Come Dance With Me". The movie is not really a Christmas movie. It is more suitable for Valentines Day. Now this how a justify the purchase of this. I watch them and then lend them out to friends. I am trying to obtain other people hooked on Hallmark Films so the audience expands! That method Hallmark keeps making more movies!

Of the 4 films, one I didn't care for but that's the possibility you take when buying a multi movie pack. The other three were great. The Christmas Ornament is a amazing story but the old cliche of one finding out about someones former fiance is here again and I think the writers need to write a various tune as that scenario is too rehashed in a lot of of these movies and wasn't necessary. The first two, unlike a lot of Hallmark movies takes put in the huge town rather than in a little city and thus lacks some of the magic that are in the little city settings. Overall I was happy as you're getting 4 movies for the price of 1.

My family and I have fun watching the Countdown to Christmas films on Hallmark each year. While I have fun a lot of of the movies, I have to admit to having a couple of favorites that I am willing to watch year round. This four package contains two of those (“The Christmas Ornament” and “A Very Merry Mix-up”.)While I already own both of these, I couldn't resist the opportunity to pre-order them again with two extra fun films that I have fun at such at amazing value. I am really looking forward to receiving them in early October and starting my own “Countdown” a small earlier than Hallmark.I've duplicated a number of films over the years (especially as I changed from DVD to Blu-Ray) and I place the duplicate films in my guest room for my guests to have fun with the little TV system we have set up in that room.)“The Christmas Ornament” is one of my all time favorites and was the first film I saw with Cameron Mathieson in it. He has quickly become one of my favorite Hallmark actors, especially in his latest role in a recurring mystery film series. In this movie, he and Kellie Martin (another unbelievable actor) play beautifully together with Ms. Martin as a grieving widow who is trying to create a fresh life for herself and Mr. Mathieson as the man who wants to be part of that fresh life. A lovely story and one that strikes me as very realistically written and “A Very Merry Mix-up”, a young woman (Alicia Witt) is on her method to meet her soon to-be in laws (with her fiance joining her later.) Problem and laughter break out when she meets up with the man she thinks (wrongly) to be her fiance's brother and ends up celebrating the holidays with an unrelated family. While the plot may not be as credible as others, the film makes up for it in funny hi-jinks and misadventures.“Hitched for the Holidays” is about a cross-cultural holiday season with Joey Lawrence and Emily Hampshire. They are both looking for someone to bring to family holiday parties to hold matchmaking and comments at bay. Joey celebrates Christmas and Emily Chanukah. I found the two of them pretending to understand the others holiday traditions to be extremely funny. The film deals with a serious topic with a amazing deal of fun but doesn't lessen the struggle couples might have with such differences. Getting to see Joey Lawrence again after a lot of years was a lot of fun as ly, “Come Dance with Me” stars Andrew McCarthy and Michelle Nolden. I was so very satisfied to see Mr. McCarthy after what seemed like a lot of years. In this story, he is a financier who decides to take dance lessons to impress his boss's daughter. He ends up at Ms. Nolden's dance studio. During his lessons, he starts having feelings for Ms. Nolden's hero and doesn't wish to reveal that he is part of a group that is working to close down her family's dance e films all have traditional Hallmark satisfied endings and all are suitable for multi-generations of a family to watch (which is becoming rarer and rarer these days.) As I have enjoyed each and every film in this collection, I plan to buy it as Christmas bonuses for several family members this year.

This is a amazing collection of feel-good, warm and inspiring holiday movies. I have watched these films over and over and they never obtain boring. A Very Merry Mix Up is one of my all-time Christmas favorites and I have become a fan of any film Alicia Witt is in. She is believable and endearing. In the stage where she has been given some poor news, she goes into the powder room to be alone and looks at herself in the mirror. You can see the pain and disappointment wash over her face even though she doesn't say a word. A amazing moment.

A Boxed set of thirteen happily scandalous holiday tales. Her Virgin Duke by Nicola DavidsonBennett Innsworth became the Duke of Tunbury ten years ago at age fifteen. His trustees/guardians taught him very well how to run his dukedom. That was a amazing thing. When he loses a bet with Lord Fletcher the blackguard wants him to scope out Delilah’s Temple, an infamous pleasure club. When he arrives and meets Delilah Forbes, the owner, he is more than surprised to search the club is well-run by an astute business woman who caters to a select clientele. Have Yourself a Merry Little Scandal: a Christmas collection of Historical Romance (Have Yourself a Merry Little. Book 2) []  2020-11-7 18:26

I enjoyed reading A Scandalous Secret by Laura Trentham, one of the a lot of novellas in the anthology Have Yourself a Merry Small Scandal. This story has the all the fixings one would expect from a historical suspense. We have the mystery of why is someone following and attacking Victoria, daughter of Britain’s chief spymaster. Then there’s the hero: orphan, spy and family bodyguard Thomas. Problem, the attraction and chemistry between the two; after all, Thomas has been working at Victoria’s home since the two were young teens. As these two mature, the attraction, chemistry and feelings only grow stronger. After Victoria is attacked in an alley and Thomas rescues her, the two search shelter in a little cottage, with only one bed. After finally discovering that the attacks were a case of mistaken identity, the two seek approval and blessing for a future together from her parents, while all of them are at a Holiday gathering.I loved how powerful and independent Victoria was characterized; whether it being cirtantial or inherent. Thomas tried vigilantly to be honorable, but his love for Victoria and willingness to do her bidding was enough to cause him to break his own rules about crossing the Trentham wrote a attractive love story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with kindness, magnetic attraction, off the charts chemistry, amazing conversations, and endearing characters giving Victoria and Thomas a possibility at finding a forever love. I highly recommend the story A Scandalous Secret to other readers and hope to read the other stories in the Have Yourself a Merry Small Scandal anthology.I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.

A Scandalous Secret – Laura TrenthamA bodyguard story – yes, please. The class distinction stories are always so good. I’m not amazing enough, yes you are. Thomas and Victoria are so sweet together and grow as a couple. How can Victoria convince Thomas they are meant to be together, yes he knows but is very resistant. Spy stories are some of my favorites and the small mystery in this short story really grabs your attention. Oh, and there is a small scandalous secret…shh, not telling. Her Virgin Duke – Nicola DavidsonPractice makes perfect. At least that is what Bennett thinks and he is so right. I loved this story of the Mistress of Sin and the Virgin Duke. I really liked Delilah. She was not portrayed as a sleazy goddess but as a down to earth person who enjoyed and had actual feels for others and amazing business aen. Such a joy to read. Bennett, bless his heart, was so repressed that when he allow go…watch out girls, cover yourselves. An awesome story.A Scandal Before Christmas – April MoranI love second possibility romances and this one has it all (even if I would have loved to hold reading about Theodore and Lauren). The backstory was fleshed out and the re-courting commenced well. You have to hand to Theodore, he was tenacious in his pursuit of Lauren. These two loved each other, it was all about trust and being honest. A amazing Christmas gue for Hire – Sasha CottmanThe character in this book has an amazing name, Lord Harry Steele. He and his mates are small on the illegal side but are trying very hard to create their legitimate business work. Enter Harry and his “secrets” business. Alice hires Harry to break up her sister’s infatuation (you know how that goes) and end up falling in love. What Alice does not realize is that her sister and the fortune hunter (who really isn’t, sort of) are actually in love so what can you do. A very cute story and it seems to be the beginning of a fresh series! YAY!A Lady’s Tutorial to Scandal – Emmanuelle de MassupassantI like stories that are a bit of out the norm. This is the second story I have read by Em that features a Texas native. Those old west men are yummy. The archaeological aspects of the story are very interesting especially since I knew some of the locations mentioned. You have these two amazing characters who create a pact to escape matchmaking relatives but guess what? Yes, of course, they fall in love. A nice small adventure story.I received a complimentary copy from the author.

Have yourself a merry small scandalA dozens of short, steamy Christmas tales, all involving some sort of scandal in the plot. This collection is not clean—please don’t give poor reviews to dirty books because you don’t like to read dirty books. Just look at the reviews for that warning and then don’t read them if that’s not to your taste. I’m sure the authors won’t be is collection has regency, Victorian, and turn of the century (~1900) stories. Brief plots and reactions to each are below. Some stories are better than others, and there are a few that could have stood to be proofread more thoroughly. Overall, gives a lot of hours of gue for hireLord Harry, reprobate youngest son, makes his living as a “fixer”—he and his mates offer a lot of services on the edge of (and firmly outside) the law. Alice asks him to save her sister from a fortune hunter, and they search they are well-matched. But will Alice be OK with Harry’s work? The begin of a fresh series, it seems, and I’m looking forward to more of stories featuring these characters.Highlander’s Christmas LassieThis was a bittersweet story, and although there is the HEA expected, thinking of Malcolm’s years spent searching for his lost love and their kid created it harder to e Christmas RoseLudo and Bunty are unbelievable characters and I fell in love with these two. I only want the story had been longer so I could have fun more of them. Although widowed, she seems more like a spinster with a poor reputation due to her scandalous mother and late husband. She meets Ethan, a Texan archaeologist, and he is smitten but has problems to address before they can have their HEA.Fate Gave me a DukeIf I had a dollar for every incorrect apostrophe in this story, I could buy several more books. So badly proofread that the errors are distracting—the other stories were much better in this regard. This is another “had to marry because he compromised her (sort of) accidentally” stories, but beyond that, not a lot of story happens. They don’t hate being married and they have lots of urtship CaperI almost dnf’d this one, because it was a comedy of errors situation where everyone was misunderstanding everyone else about who loved who, and it was just silly. The misunderstandings went on far too long, and the meddling sisters behind the attempted setups were clueless and annoying. Sorry, I’ve read others by this author that I enjoyed, but this one just wasn’t for me.Duncan’s ChristmasHighlander Duncan is in London to retrieve his runaway betrothed, Mary. Not to marry her, since she ran off to be with an English vicar, but her father wants her home. Unfortunately, Duncan mistakenly abducts her sister Jane instead. Jane is in London helping Mary through a difficult pregnancy. Mary isn’t going home, Jane isn’t going home, and Duncan isn’t returning without at least one sister to present for his retrieval efforts. While waiting for Mary to deliver the baby, Duncan learns all about deviled, A Russian PursuitA companion story to an earlier novel, Betrothed, the Petroski brothers are back. Small brother Ilya is pretending to be Prince Demitri in order to support him break his engagement by scandalizing his fiancée (read about that in Betrothed), but Ilya has his eyes on a various prize, and misbehaving for his brother is not helping his cause. This was a long slow story— lots and lots of description of inner turmoil with relatively less actual action. I don’t remember Betrothed dragging like this, and Ilya is actually interesting, so it was a small disappointing for it to be a slog to read about the Mistletoe MasqueradeCassie and Sydney have loved each other for a while, but neither knows how the other feels. Cassie is Sydney’s best friend’s small sister and he think he’s not amazing enough for her. She just wants a kiss at the annual Mistletoe Masquerade ball to see if she can convince him to love her. Of course they end up with an audience and must marry (another one of those compromising situation stories). The HEA comes beautiful easily in this one. Would love to read about Renvere and his daughters and the mystery governess, too!A Scandal Before ChristmasSecond possibility here. Theo and Lauren were engaged, But she broke it off when she found out their fathers arranged it for financial reasons. Theo doesn’t care about her money, he just wants Lauren, and he has a plan to victory her back. The whole story is just (it felt long, but it was only a matter of days) his campaign to obtain married to her. Also not exactly that scandalous? Her Virgin DukeBennett became the Duke of Tunbury at 15, carefully controlled by trustees until the age of 25. So carefully controlled, that he’s still a virgin. Well, that all changes in this story, with the support of a amazing woman. I really enjoyed this one, Bennett is a charming and fun character.A Scandalous SecretNot really all that scandalous, but it is a secret that Victoria is in love with Thomas, her spymaster father’s protege. When Victoria gets attacked, Thomas comes to the rescue, and things develop from there. Apparently part of Trentham’s Spies and Lovers world, I haven’t read any of those books, but this was a decent e Christmas CourtesanPart of Vale’s Gentleman Courtesan series. Widow Miranda is tasked by her widowed mates to search out about the mysterious Gentleman Courtesans. Roger, younger brother to flaky Viscount Angus, takes it upon himself to replace their sister’s dowry when Angus loses it on a dangerous investment. Courtesan manager Benedict can’t believe his luck at having a 36-year old virgin available to set up with a client. Miranda snaps Roger up before a bidding battle breaks out among the ladies. If you’ve read any of the other stories in this series, you know how this ends. Miranda and Roger are a unbelievable pair, and I forced myself to read this anthology in order so I wouldn’t just jump ahead to the latest story and skip the others. I’m glad I did, because I enjoyed several of the other stories, but it did mean saving the best for last!Overall, I’m giving this 4/5 stars. There are some amazing stories and some less amazing stories, but it’s certainly worth reading, especially for the amazing ones.

I will post my review after I finish reading each one...A Lady’s Tutorial to Scandal by Emmanuelle de Maupassant. 4 1/2 starsStarring Ethan Burnell and Cornelia “Nellie” opes: Long-forgotten childhood mates and fake igosh I laughed so hard in this story. Cornelia, our heroine, is trying so hard to be straight-laced and scandal free, while everyone around her is a comic relief. Her aunts are a hoot and wonderfully inappropriate... Mrs Bongorge is a shameless hussy... Lady Pippsbury has quite a special vocabulary... and Ethan, our hero, is a sweet talkin’ Texan who loves to ruffle Cornelia’s feathers. I just found this story utterly delightful!!I loved Cornelia and Ethan. They had some emotional baggage to sort through, but once they do it’s a heartfelt street to HEA. I totally cheered for I also loved Minnie the dog!!Emmanuelle de Maupassant is very descriptive author. Sometimes I really do feel like I’m in the stage with the characters seeing what they are seeing. She is amazing!!My star rating: 4 1/2 starsBook was great. Loved the characters. Gave me the feels and aaaaaaalmost created me cry in some parts.

This started out well, but some turned out to be gue for Hire. Interesting, unusual plot. I didn't search the character very likeable, but I enjoyed the e Highlander's Christmas. Most of this story takes put within 24 hours, so it's full of memories and emotions with small e Christmas Rose. Beautiful amazing although it was a small wonderful that the character had worshiped the heroine from afar for so long without ever meeting her. Feel amazing e Lady's Tutorial to Scandal. Verrry slow start. The author seemed to wish to impress the reader with her research or knowledge. I gave up in Chapter 2 when the character and heroine hadn't even met yet.Fate Gave Me a Duke. Just couldn't obtain interested in e Courtship Caper. Just too cute. Or something. Couldn't obtain into it.Duncan's Christmas. Started to turn into a lecture on English Christmas customs--not what I look for in a deviled: A Russian Pursuit. Didn't like the characters in the beginning and couldn't obtain into the Mistletoe Masquerade. Slow start. Couldn't obtain interested.A Scandal before Christmas. Slow start. Couldn't obtain interested. Her Virgin Duke. Virgin duke? Really? Couldn't obtain interested.A Scandalous Secret. Slow start. Couldn't obtain e Christmas Courtesan. A male courtesan. Yeah, all historical romance is fantasy to some extent, but this isn't plausible at all. I didn't read past the first few r those who care--lots of in detail.

He is fun and full of humour. At time, extravagant and ice wants the best for her sister, and it is removing the fortune hunter of the equation.
