Bad, just bad! I completed a survey but still no mods! What is this game?! You just think you obtain mods but no! They just sponsor android games for us to play so we obtain coins! Those who say it works andbits amazing are bots! IMPROVE YOUR GAME!!!!!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
If there was an option for a --10 Stars I'd give it straight up! This might just be the largest scam of my life. When you request to download a MOD you MUST download q game. EVERYTIME! And you know what's worse, IT STILL DOESN'T WORK AFTER THAT!
This application won't work in Minecraft and if there is a unique ver of Minecraft we need in order to obtain this mod to work, they didn't specify that before we bought it. My child is VERY frustrated with the mods I buy from Amazon.....none of them work on our Fire tablet
There is a amazing reason why John Steakley’s “Armor” still, after all these years is a common sight on the shelves of your local bookstore. From what I know about Steakley, he intended Armor to be a Starship Troopers with better action scenes. Well, what we ended up with was something much, much more. I rarely feel compelled enough to write reviews, but I still feel so strongly about this book that I could no longer keep myself back. This is a book that I recommend to friends, and have on more than one occasion given as a gift. And it’s never mor is really two stories. The story of Felix the scout who has the fortune to be the lone survivor on a lot of missions in the battle versus ant-like monsters on the planet Banshee. The other part is the story of Jack Crow, who is basically a notorious and infamous zone pirate, who by the method simply must have been the inspiration for the Jack Sparrow hero from “Pirates of the Caribbean”; the similarities are simply too numerous to be coincidental. While Steakley clearly achieved his goal of making a Starship Troopers with better action scenes, this book really shines in its clairvoyance. If Starship Troopers is Globe Battle II, then Armor could easily be Vietnam, Iraq or Afghanistan. It’s an examination of the lifelong trauma that can come from battle, the cluelessness of military leadership, and somehow, a pseudo zone western on a planetary outpost called Sanction, which is tangentially similar to the Ant eakley’s writing style is direct. The action is very kinetic, and it totally works for me because it really paints an authentic portrait of the sudden and seemingly random nature of violence. This book also has a transition in it that does seem jarring at first, but is totally justified. If you are science fiction fan then this is a must read. In my opinion, it’s to the science fiction genre as “The Catcher in the Rye” or “To Slay A Mockingbird” is to general literature.
I started this book at 3 in the after noon, and after a party finished it at 254 in the morning. It started as an amazing slay aliens book with an interesting hero and mysterious past. It then morphed into a kind of mystery that lead to soul searching and still more dead aliens, ending was a bit sad but still awesome, want Eyes was there.I am failing this book in a review but it is easily in the top 20 of my favorite books, and I read an unhealthy amount. One of the best book purchases i have ever made. Will remember this book for a long time.
I had no choice, I had to throw this book away or perish of boredom. A planet far away. "Ants" that weighed a ton whose main way of killing was tearing their enemies apart (not too bright but a LOT of them). The amazing guy are an advanced troops in private armored suits that rival a tank it killing power (which for some reason need to be charged but also have a reactor capable of creating a nuclear explosion when misused. What?). All of this but no air power! Why are these "warriors" on the ground? The ants don't fly and don't have aircraft that we know of. The equivalent of a couple of biplane could have decimated the ants without any risk to the "warriors" (the amazing guys are called fighters over and over and ....). Star ships but no airplanes. There is no limit of implausible events. I kept finding myself saying "What, were did that come from?". I'd go back a few pages trying to search what it was I missed, but no...I didn't miss anything, it was just something pulled out of the air unrelated to anything that preceded it. Or, maybe I DID miss something and it was so boring I couldn't force my mind to absorb the nonsense. I can't imagine how anyone found this book to be of value. I had to delete the book from my kindle before it damaged me.
The best part of the book is about Felix. At first, Felix comes off as a mysterious character. Small by little, Felix unravels and you obtain to know more about his tragic past. The pieces come together and it begins to create sense, everything is place into context. I didn't care about the Jack Crow part, he was just a very arrogant jerk. I think the story should have just focused on Felix. Most of the book felt like a chore to read. Steakley should have given Jack Crow his own book. He probably had an impulse to write about Jack Crow and couldn't resist. Armor is a very slow burn as a book. I also think it was 100 pages too long. The Jack Crow part felt like Steakley went off on a large tangent.
Ever since I found this lying on one of my father's bookshelves, I've loved this book. It is one of those books that few know about, never receiving the adulation it deserved. It has that rare quality certain books have where you'll probably never meet anyone who read it that didn't love it. In fact, I'd be surprised if they had not read it a few ound fourteen I had just finished reading Starship Troopers. My head was spinning with powersuits and giant insect aliens. When I found Armor, I was initially skeptical that an unknown like John Steakley could top the legend Heinlein. I was wrong. Starship Troopers is a amazing book, but Steakley's Armor is a amazing book. And possibly my favorite book of Science e book is divided into three parts, the first following Felix and the second Jack Crow. One hero is melancholy, while the other bellicose. The stories are told with the speed of a train, flying through the experiences of these two men. Until their stories converge in the third part of the book, where Steakley keeps stoking more and more speed from that train, until it smashes right in to you at the ankly, it would surprise me if you didn't read it in 3 sittings or less.
Originally printed in 1984, this is one of my fave sci-fi books to re-read from time to time. It's not overtly complicated, it's fun, has some mystique and a amazing mix of enjoyable feudal mythology. I liked it method better than 'Starship Troopers" although people cry "clone" - and being a powered armor fan method before Iron Man created it to the huge screen, this is one of the better books of that genre. How so? Well, I loaned my paperback copy to a coworker in the 90's, never got it back. Bought another copy, place it in the book vault. Now (and recently) acquired the Kindle version. Gotta love technology especially when it supports a decent read. You can read a synopsis on Wikipedia (warning: spoilers) and see a pic of the original cover art. I was saddened to learn that Steakley passed away while writing the long awaited sequel to the original.
