This book is truly a crash course in HTML coding. Its complete with exercises for you to practice as you go. While its targeted at everyone; I personally feel its not for a complete newbie. Chapters are indexed so you can click on any chapter and pull it up. Very descriptive and references are given to affirm the definitions. Any one attending courses for computer science would benefit greatly.Quickly learn HTML coding to write your own website....

I began a blog a small bit ago, and it wasn't working the exact method that I wanted it to. In order obtain better at designing my website I required to learn HTML. This book caught my eye because to learn everything in one day seemed like to amazing to be true. This book begins with the basics, helping you to understand why to use html. The next part of the book is about the various things that you can do. Some of the things it talks about is the best method to create lists, creating specific text type, formatting links, even adding photos and tables. I might not have learned everything in one day, but this was definitely worth the read. It will be one that stays in my reference section.

I bought this book because I am working as leader in projects with a squad of coders and designers who use a lot of HTML, since I had only a vague knowledge about HTML I felt I was a bit behind them and also was having communicating my needs and also understanding the limitations and posibilities of this language. This book served my purpose perfectly; the info is correctly presented in a very easy yet informative way. It's also amazing as a refference book since you can simply go back and check the various HTML elements anand how to use them.

I picked up this book because I am interested in web programming, specifically HTML programming, and to my delight this book covered all the aspects of becoming a functional HTML web programmer in a day. This book is excellent for beginners and the reason I say that is because the examples are well laid out , simple to understand (even for a tech newbie) and also the author takes you by the hand and explains what every function does. Amazing job by the author for writing such a quality book on HTML.

I'm not a computer wiz and wanted something that could take me through the process of HTML coding step by step without being overwhelming. This book did it. I'll be getting other books from Acodemy to support me with other projects.

A very complete tutorial to HTML, a must-have for anyone having a website, a blog or wanting to begin learning the web's most primary language! Even though I am already familiar with HTML and use it often, having all the info in one put is really convenient. Overall, I would really recommend this book for anyone, from complete beginner to advanced programmers. The explanations of all the functionalities are very simple to understand, and the book can be used either as a crash course to learn HTML from zero, or as a reference tutorial to come back to on a everyday basis! Very satisfied from this purchase!

I would say that HTML is certainly the easiest of all of the programming languages for me. I have read books on C, Python, Java, etc. and this is definitely the best and easiest to understand. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking to expedite their learning process for learning to code in HTML.

This is a unbelievable resource for learning HTML! I have HTML primary skills, but I've struggled to search the right resource that is both comprehensive and simple to follow. The practice exercises at the end of the chapters really support to reinforce the code learned within each chapter. I feel like I really did learn HTML in a day! Thanks!

I have been learning how to use HTML from my daughter but everytime I need to do something from it I have to call her or request her what you can do next this book assists me so i can do it on my own. I started when the android game Neopets came out a long time ago learning how to do HTML and features paid off for me personally when I have to design an online page or change shades on a www service or what ever I am performing and people don't realize how simple it truly is just altering a color is complicated to the majority. I really like this book and plan to create use of it often.I have received the product at a marked down rate to acquire my reasonable and sincere review. Practically nothing has been questioned of me other than to provide an honest overview of the product. As others have pointed out remember to don't just look at the ratings on these reviews, look at the reasoning behind them as they may be looking at the item for an completely various use or from an entirely different perspective that you are currently. Product Review: HTML: QuickStart Tutorial - The Simplified Beginner's Tutorial To HTML (HTML, HTML5, HTML and CSS) Kindle EditionCompany: Amazon via seller ClydeBank TechnologyThe book Html Quickstart Tutorial is a very handy reference for me. I am going my Computer Science degree at American Military University and required something more easy than there textbooks that over complicate everything. This did it for me.I am self-taught on web design. There is no method anyone can remember everything about html5 and css3, so it is nice to have a reference you can just pull up and search your codes is a primary book but that is what I wanted. I did not wish something that had 500 pages and you had to sift through all the fluff. Html is very simple to grasp but as I stated sometimes you forget the codes to use so this book helps me with my is not an all-inclusive book but a stepping stone to knowing how to write html. It helps you to start to build a www service from scratch. If you wish to create your own blog or begin your own webpage then this is a book that will do that. You will be up and running in no time.I give my reviews to products and sometimes obtain them free or at a reduced cost. I am not needed to give 5 star reviews but I am needed to give honest reviews. HTML: QuickStart Guide - The Simplified Beginner's Guide To HTML (HTML, HTML5, HTML and CSS) review [Book]  2018-4-10 18:1

Very clear read! I recently finished this book, and have enjoyed it very much. I do computer builds / repairs on the side, and although i know what is in a computer, i can not tell you the first thing about web programming and design. This book has done that and more. It is a easy worded and understandable read. It will walk you through the history of HTML, the beginning basics, all the method to what is used now. Even without exploring hands on using HTML, i now have a very amazing understanding on what it is, how it works, how it has advanced and what is used most common today. Within this book, it will also provide with some hands on training that you can apply yourself, to practice, use, and master.I received this book at a discounted rate, in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. With having mates that do web design, i sometimes felt that they were speaking a foreign language. Well, not anymore!

HTML: QuickStart Guide - The Simplified Beginner's Guide To HTML (HTML, HTML5, HTML and CSS) review [Book]  2018-4-10 18:1

Ok, first off, I am not a web designer. Nor am I a programmer and I have had no schooling in computer sciences, but am a regular Joe interested in the basics of web design and introductory coding. If a guy like me can create it through this book with a grasp of HTML and the differences of HTML5, then you can too. I would not say this book taught me to design web websites but taught me the introductory foundation of the basics. There is much in here that I'm sure I don't have a firm grasp of, and those with extensive experience would search elementary, but that's why I like this book. I look forward to reading more from this publishing company as the reading style is simple and not pretentious. I feel they write well for the beginner without using too much jargon. It's a fast read and worth : Simple writing style lets the uninitiated feel welcome in the globe of web designCon:None that I can see.

I'm quite the computer geek so HTML isn't exactly rocket science for me anymore, but I got this book for my small cousin, as I am trying to turn him into someone equally as amazing as me. I allow him use a page on my hosting to play around with HTML as he read this book and he's already done some beautiful cool things with the hints from this book! In fact, he created a kind of online resume page for himself, although he's only 10. lol So if he can do it, you can too!

I am a finance person that wanted to delve into the globe of technology since our globe is beautiful much driven by it so I came across this book and decided to check it out. The min I click buy, it is sent to my cell phone where I could instantly start to read it. This book is written well for the beginner or someone who has no clue about the internet, how it is run, how it is made, etc. Someone who didn't even know that HTML stood for something. It begins at the very basics and walks you through each step while not over explaining things so you never lose your place. It is simplified and simple to read. Overall I felt this was a useful tutorial for the beginner web developer. With sample code that can be generated on your own pc and executed to see the results, it's simple to follow and understand the tags as well as the use. I have over 25 years experience coding in other languages and am just starting to delve into the web design filed. Like some other reviews I think it could have included a bit one very huge complaint is the summary section. While this part wasn't necessary, my private opinion is that if you contain it then it should be accurate. The copy I received had a summary for SQL query not the HTML that it should have had.

I have recently had to begin supporting a web based app within my company. I have no knowledge of HTML and search I am having to do a lot of web searches to search ways to accomplish what should be easy tasks. I am not a programmer and really don’t wish to be one. I was looking for a book that would give me the basics of using HTML and saw this beginner’s tutorial and decided I would take a look at it to see if it would help. Even after reading the first few pages, the language started making sense. The book gave me a amazing primary understanding and has created my job so much easier. It is exactly what I needed. I am actually looking forward to trying to make a www service myself. I think this book would be helpful to anyone who may be a beginning web developer or for anyone who may just wish to play around with creating web sites.I received this for free or at a discount for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Good, but when using iPad and Textastic as an editor, a simpler html code has to be used for inserting photos and Safari doesn't understand some of the html5 used in this book. I [email protected]#$%! had a glossary for a fast review of all the elements and what they're used for. I also want it were a small bit more explanatory on the use of locations in between use of code (when a zone is okay and when it's not okay). Just writing from a beginners point of view.

Keith Hosman's books are a wealth of info written in a plain simple to understand manner. His love of horses and wry sense of humor come through in his books. Terrific info and hints for horse lovers on any level. Cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are having issues with your horse, then your horse is most likely having issues with you. Keith helps untangle that web.

    What I'd Teach Your Horse: Training & Re-Training the Basics (Horse Training How-To Book 8) review []  2020-1-10 19:25

My son is a professional chef, graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and cooking at top restaurants. When he bought me a cookbook, it was the best: a phone-book sized tome, "James Beard’s Theory and Practice of Amazing Cooking," written with Julia Child. This book contained everything I could possibly wish or need to know about cooking. When I was reading Keith Hosman’s What I’d Teach Your Horse, I thought of that cookbook. Hosman’s book is a dense collection of very clear directions about how to do things with your horse that you probably never thought you could. I found this challenging reading, though it’s clear, well-written and fully explains Mr. Hosman’s techniques. The challenging part was that it describes a level of horsemanship and training that I could barely imagine. It also got me thinking about a bunch of things, which I'll touch on below.I began riding horses in 1955 and rode with some top trainers, back in the day. That was then; this is now. The fresh horsemanship is a whole fresh level of sophistication and training techniques. Hosman describes an exercise where the rider sits on his/her horse and imagines each of the horse’s hooves planted in the center of a clock, the face marked 1 to 12 in a circle in typical clock fashion. The rider teaches, through carefully explained steps, the horse to place each of its feet on each number of the clock. This has a number of training e rest of the book relies on related exercises. I can’t imagine that level of training subtlety, yet I’ve been to seminars given my top trainers where they demonstrated related feats. The book is full of things like this which sound promise to produce a horse whose training level is beyond anything I’ve experienced.Midway through, I began to feel discouraged. “I can never do that. I’m so bunged up physically (I’m 70), I can’t even ride for more than twenty minutes.” A thread of hope runs through this book, though. Just when I felt like what Mr. Hosman was saying was a really amazing idea that I would never be able to actualize, that popular skit from Saturday Night Live came to me. “Lowered Expectations,” about a dating service for regular people, as opposed to the supermodels usually pictured on dating sites. The opening credits of the skit present an exceptionally appearance-challenged couple walking on a littered path by a polluted river.“Lowered expectations!” thought I. “Baby steps.” I didn’t have to learn all that and apply it perfectly. "Just test a few things. Go slowly.”I loved a couple of things he brings up, like talking to your horse and telling it what to do. I do that all the time; horses are very amazing listeners on all sorts of things. I also loved his technique of visualizing your horse doing the right thing on the first try. That visualization technique won me lots of ribbons when I was a kid. I'd be going to sleep and imagine my horse and myself doing a stock horse routine. Piece of cake at the present the next is book piqued a fascination for Mr. Hosman’s work. I wish to check out his seminar schedule. I highly recommend this book to my fellow horse people. As I worked my method through it, I thought, “This is hard. This is relearning everything I do automatically, but the effect seems like it will be better all the method around.”I thought about why people wish to do things better, with their horses, and in life. We have a responsibility, those of us who love horses, to do our best by them and give them the best lives possible. We also have a responsibility to do the best by the other monsters on this planet, the Earth itself, and our fellow human beings. And ourselves. So we learn fresh techniques in hopes of improving our riding and maybe improving this planet. That’s as worthwhile as it gets. Keith Hosman’s book definitely moves in that direction.I had a few “I want he’d write about…” thoughts come up while reading this book. First, I’d like to see more about gaited horses and using the techniques in this book with them. We’ve had Peruvian Paso horses since the 1980s. The saddest thing I’ve seen is a fresh person who buys a Peruvian Paso horse, puts it with a Western trainer and then enters it in a Western Pleasure class at a Peruvian show. Invariably these horses, trained to keep their heads between their knees, come in last. Their owners and trainers don’t know they’re violated the breed standard. There’s got to me a method of incorporating the techniques shown here with gaited horses that won’t obtain them laughed out of a present so, I’d like to see a book, or something––audio, video––for handicapped riders. My physical condition––I’m 70 and falling apart––limits me. I’m still riding, and I wish to ride as long as I can. But how? And how to be super safe so I don't go Splat!? How can I use these techniques with my limitations? Fresh book, please. Maybe a workshop. :-)That’s my want list, Mr. Hosman. Reading this book was a amazing experience. I was delighted to hear that there’s an audio version. The info in the book would be even more useful if you could sit on your horse and leaf through the exercises, having a narrator explain the steps. It is a doing book, a cookbook. Keith gifted me a copy of this book in return for an honest review. This is it!

    What I'd Teach Your Horse: Training & Re-Training the Basics (Horse Training How-To Book 8) review []  2020-1-10 19:25

I have been reading Keith Hosmans training hints for a lot of years. In every aspect of training with my horses I can always reflect back upon what Keith has taught. Keith has taught me patience. Not only with my horses which is imperative, but also with my own self. I have learned not to obtain mad at my own self and give up. Something I was method too amazing at decades ago!! There is always an respond for everything that is presented to us as we work with our horses. All horses are various ofcourse. However the hints are based on common sense. Never forcing, never pushing. Also trying to view things behind the "horses eye". During the times that I am presented with a "scary" obstacle, such as rearing, striking, bucking or related I know I can always find in my tutorials and search the right answer. I love that Keith is kind but straight to the point. There is no name calling or ridicule as you sometimes see out there in the horse world. Keith cares and he wants to help! I highly recommend this Book as well as registering your email address and receiving the highly required updates, reminders and ofcourse high fives for continuing to try. Keith LOVES horses and he cares about people. You cannot go wrong!!

Aikido Basics: Everything you need to get started in Aikido - from basic footwork and throws to training (Tuttle Martial Arts Basics) review []  2020-1-10 19:14

The latest 60 years I have been seriously involved in numerous martial arts (Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Law Enforcement Defensive tactics) including Aikido, but I seldom mention this interesting martial art because I never achieved any rank in this system. The fact is, a lot of of the techniques I have taught in law enforcement came from Aikido and Jujitsu arts.I picked up this 189 page paperback volume (Aikido Basics by Phong Thong Dang and Lynn Seiser) at a bargain price on Amazon and found this to be a amazing primary text on the art of Aikido. This book, published by Tuttle Martial arts series, is organized into six parts and the twenty two chapters cover a lot of material. Some of the subjects covered includes: The history of Aikido, the philosophy of Aikido, the various branches of Aikido, choosing the right school, clothing and equipment, primary principles, stances, strikes, grabs, throwing techniques, locking and pinning, Ki development, randori, testing for belt promotion and a lot of other primary ere are numerous black and white photographs showing some of the techniques but this Tuttle martial art book has the same flaw as the others I have read and reviewed. A lot more photographs are required for all the techniques they mention. In any case, as I have mentioned in other physical action books, learning any martial from just reading a book is often not productive unless it is combined with a hands-on class with an instructor. This book can serve as a reference source to review the material learned in an Aikido class.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Aikido Basics: Everything you need to get started in Aikido - from basic footwork and throws to training (Tuttle Martial Arts Basics) review []  2020-1-10 19:14

for anyone attending an Aikido class. There are a lot of aspects to attending a class other than learning Aikido techniques and those "other" aspects are well covered in this book. The writing is clear and direct and so makes extracting the point fast and ere are also different branches of Aikido, and so styles differ, but the primary set of techniques are related and so the descriptions of the techniques in this book are helpful for connecting the technique name with a set of physical movements. One thing I'd caution the reader about is that you should not expect to learn Aikido from a book. There are more incorrect ways to apply a technique than you can imagine, so having an instructor who is knowledgeable and patient there to observe and correct your app of Aikido is essential. But, overall, as a book for beginning Aikido, this book is a amazing reference.

This book does a very amazing job of explaining its title subject... primary Aikido. There are no politics or style-specific posturings here; only solid primary info in an easy-to-read format. Look also for two recently released titles by the same authors: "Advanced Aikido" and "Aikido Weapons Techniques".

I was truly shocked by seeing what number of primary proposals gathered in such a short book. Maker finished a sensational action. I'll undoubtedly recommend this book to my friends. I felt like the creator themself didn't generally realize what they were talking r a shallow outline, it's alright. At the cost, the substance is as it ought to be, yet not anyplace close other learning reference books out is book is a hard r happier pushing out a couple of more dollars and showing signs of improvement product. He keeps them clear to create it simpler to obtain a grip regarding the matter is book covers everything types to coding date and time.

I got the Kindle version. I have a couple other books about C++. I thought I would read a fast learning guide. This was quick. Because of that it was not very in depth. You obtain a very broad description. You will learn something about C++, but not much. The huge problem I had was that there were several punctuation and grammar errors. Also there was a misspelling of one of the keywords ("endl" was written with a number 1 instead of a lower case ell).

I required a crash course in C++ for an advanced class I'm taking, and having already read their C# and SQL Server books I picked this one up. I like the books' format because every even numbered page has in-depth explanations and every odd numbered page has code examples and summary, so if you're in a rush or just wish to brush up on a subject you can skim through the odd numbered pages.

I don't have much in common with Stassi. I don't care about musicals or serial assassins or astrology. I'm meh about ranch dressing and fully-charged cell phones. I'm an introverted book nerd who would rather obtain punched in the face than blast my private life onto the screens of millions of people. And yet, holy smokes, I loved this book. I watch Vanderpump religiously. Like, religiously. I'm not proud of that (but I guess that can be my primary b**ch confession for the day?). I just love everyone on the show--especially the Toms ;)--and this book has a very related assi is honest and unapologetically herself. She confesses some beautiful embarrassing facts: like how she awkwardly lost her virginity, how she experimented with a lot of, ahem, unflattering fashion stages, or how she is DEEPLY fascinated with serial killers. (Btw, I have definitely walked past a serial assassin more than 36 times. The guy who sat behind me in class was absent one day and the next day we saw he walked into a university up north and murdered five people before killing himself. Creepy AF...)What I love most about the book, though, is how uplifting it is. Stassi expresses a surprising amount of help for other women. I love her thoughts on relationships, sex, even hookups--how she says women are active participants in romantic relationships, not just there to passively be chased until they "give it up." It's actually beautiful empowering. And her chapter on female friendships also surprised me by being really insightful. Honestly, I just wasn't expecting her to be as balanced and gracious in her relationships as she is in this book. I'm short, I loved Next Level Basic. It's a fast read and super entertaining. Five stars all the way.

I am still thrown off by the fact that Stassi Schroeder wrote a book. And when I say she wrote a book, SHE WROTE A BOOK! Not a ghostwriter. Stassi, in all her glory. AND she narrated the audio. I had pre-ordered the hardback, but when I saw she was the narrator, I downloaded the audio. I don't think I would have fully appreciated this book without listening to Stassi read it to me.I wish to say first that you most likely won't fully appreciate this book without knowing who Stassi is. So my advice, go binge watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo. You need to be in the know with just who Stassi is to fully take in this book.If you are expecting some life-changing, literary piece of work with this book, then you still don't know who Stassi is. That isn't a slam on Stassi, that's just the truth. I really don't know what I was expecting with this book, but I can tell you, I didn't expect some of lieve it or not, Stassi gives us a deep notice in this book. Even with her ridiculousness, silly stories, and obsession with ranch dressing, she has an necessary message.I loved this book so much because she didn't spout a bunch of cliche' and overused quotes or ideas. She was real, open, and just herself in telling her message. It's not just about all of the primary things she loves. It's about embracing things YOU love. And she puts everything in such a realistic, unfluffed, uncliche'd way, I couldn't stop listening. If you wish to laugh and have fun someone being absolutely true with you, then I encourage you to pick up this book. I am not ashamed or embarrassed that I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Completely vapid. There's absolutely nothing interesting about this book or the character. Even if you're a fan of the show, this book isn't worth your time or money.

Uh. I love Stassi but the book was a disappointment. I purchased the audiobook and I just couldn’t even create it after an hour. I want her success but I just couldn’t relate.

This book was such an easy, fast read. But it was so amazing. It really reminds you how to embrace yourself and to just own who you are and not give AF about what other people think. If you love Stassi and are one of her Khaleesi’s then you will love this book!
