Just another amazing solid well written Ben Hood n and his lady are enjoying Rod and Rose's tropical wedding. The wedding is finally, finally event and in one attractive n is watching the festivities and spots a couple on the fringe of the wedding party. Not wedding guests. Just guests of the e lady is a knockout and the man she is with looks like a loser plus. Ben is shaking his head at that when the guy starts manhandling the lady. Ben immediately heads over and grabs loser plus. He lets him know in no uncertain terms that if he does it again he, Ben, will kick the everlovin crap out of e lady immediately tells Ben things are fine. She and her companion just had a disagreement. Ben ain't buyin that for one minute. He gets information from both of them and then has no choice but to watch them walk away.He gets Rod to run the information on both parties and finds out that the woman has two children who were kidnapped. They are still among the missing. Ben begins to smell one huge fat begins another amazing Ben Hood thriller. This one has kidnappers, drugs, mountain hideaways and of course bozo's who think Ben is an simple mark. Those dudes ended up in the hospital and the morgue.Another amazing read. Five Stars.
I'm a amazing fan of the Ben Hood series but I found the recent disappointing. Not much of a plot; the book could have been a short story, but it was expanded to book length with a lot of filler such as a description of a wedding and a vacation in Bora ndsay can sure churn them out as "Treasure" was just published a couple of months ago, but this one could have used some more plotting. I hope the use of filler does not portend future books, as I have noticed in other famous authors (eg Grafton, Muller, Cornwell, Paretsky), the books obtain thicker as time goes by, but less interesting. (I've given up on Paretsky.)
I just finished reading Drew Lindsey's recent book "Charlotte's Fear" and just like all the rest, it was great. You know,I don't think Ben is scared of anyone and the women love him. I can't wait to see what Drew Lindsey has Ben Hood doing next....I can't wait!MsDot
Yet another amazing Drew Lindsay book. I have been a large fan since the first book I read, though I haven't read them in order. This time at Ben's boss"s wedding, Ben sees something that isn't right and the conclusion is with every other Ben Hood adventure, I highly recommend this to everyone.
Gave this 3 stars because I generally love the "Ben Hood" thrillers. This felt not so well thought out and bit rushed. Will absolutely read more of this author, even as improbable as the plots lines tend to be. That is why I read - entertainment, improbable or not.
