These are the bee’s knees of crack gloves. I climb cracks regularly at the gym, at least 10-20 laps a week and outside. They are amazing for both. I quit using tape all together for primary hand jams because these are so simple. They are durable and have amazing grip. I would recommend a pair to anyone who will search their hand in a crack climb.
We got these for our 12 year old who is bouldering & starting with beginning level rock climbing. He has a large, wide foot (usually a size 9.5 regular or wide) and we purchased him the size 10, which fit him as expected. The quality of the shoe is fine for his skill level at this point.
Well made, highly functional. I always scoffed at rubber crack gloves, but I would now argue:a) taping the backs of your hands is functionally related to using this type of gloveb) it is much more eco-friendly to have a reusable pair of crack gloves than it is to use disposable tape with every session (or even every few sessions if you reuse your tape gloves). When in doubt, select a larger size. My hands were on the bottom end of the huge size, per the chart, and I bought the large, and they are really sides all this, they just function really well. I appreciate the craftsmanship, and would recommend this product.
I’m a slightly overweight 43 year old Dad trying to hold up with my kids. I’m not Alex Honnhold or Chris Sharma. Climbing out of bed seems like a 5.12 some mornings. So I wanted a slightly tight shoe but not so tight that I’m uncomfortable. Normally, I wear a 9.5 shoe so I bought the size 10 of these. Without socks they are perfect. If you are planning on wearing socks then obtain a 10.5. If you are a professional climber who needs their feet to stick to 2mm chips of rock then obtain the 9.5.
It is shocking how various the sizing is from one shoe to another. My son is a size 11 in road shoes (sometimes size 10.5). We first ordered the climb x Velcro shoes in blue in 11.5. They were much too tight. Then we ordered the 12 in gray, and the lace-ups in 12.5 red (our decisions were created based on availability). Both shoes were much too big. There was only a half size difference between the 2 Velcro shoes we ordered, so to have one much too little and the other much too huge really didn’t create sense. We decided to test one more time. We decided to the 11.5 Velcro shoes again, this time in red. This time they were too big! Nothing like the 11.5 blue that we ordered first! We also ordered the lace-up red in 11.5. Finally, we found one that fit! It feels like sheer luck, however. My tip to anyone ordering is multiple pairs!!!
I am used to wear climbing shoes tight. My road shoe size is 9.5 - sed on others' review, I ordered twice for sizes 11.5 and 10.5. They felt too large.10.5 felt very comfortable but i just wish super snug those beginners, I wish to recommend not buying climbing shoes that are too comfortable. Shoes usually end up stretch and they will become too huge for your feet.I received my 3rd (size 10) yesterday and it was perfect.I am afraid it will still become too huge later but I havent gone to climbing for few years and gained some these shoes will be amazing until I obtain in better shape.I am going to wear it today after work. I will modernize my review after I wear them for awhile.
These are the best crack gloves. They're method better than the OR ones which are really flimsy. The downside I suppose is that they're beautiful thick so it will create thin-hands cracks hard to climb. Bring some tape if you're planning to go all "Coyne crack" with te - they fit little - if you have average male hands you probably wish large.
these truly are great! I bought these for gym use, and they are working amazing even in the dead of summer (its been a mild summer sticking around 100+ degrees) my only worry with the gloves is how long they will last. my main concern is where the velcro latches, but even then they are great.
I wear a road shoe size between 7.5 and 8. I got these at 8.5 and they fit perfectly. Not too snug where my toes are cramping but tight enough I have a amazing grip. A couple of other climbers at the gym commented on how comfortably padded they looked in comparison to their own. For the with the padding, it's a amazing beginner shoe! Just be sure to obtain your size right!
I was loving these gloves until the wrist strap holder broke—after light use at the gym once or twice a week for a couple months. On the amazon page Ocun states, "If you aren’t happy with your Ocun crack climbing gloves, obtain in touch and we’ll create it right." I emailed them twice, and they did not respond.
Got to use these on a crack in Holcomb valley. These are legit, and the ones to get. The grip was so bomber, it feels like you can hang on it for days.
These were a tight fit (I bought a 1/2 size over my norm), but they worked just fine. After maybe 4-5 uses (I'm a novice climber) the shoes started to fall wife bought the same brand, and hasn't had any problems yet. Maybe my shoes were defective.
I don’t touch toilets with my bare hands, but with these, my toilet sparkles. I say you could eat off my toilet after I’m finished with it, but we all have our limits. I’m not afraid of any chore with these poor boys. I don’t like the vinyl gloves, I like latex— makes it feel like it’s just an extension of you. You are one with the glove, and thus your quality of work is higher.
I really love these for just about anything you can imagine and they latest forever, because it's for that one occasion or two you need to protect your hands but still wish to be able to feel what you are doing, like doing your hair, planting or cleaning. I use them even for opening stubborn jars and bottles. The best.
As far as gloves go, they're alright. They do have this god-awful smell to them, which transfers to your hands when you wear them, but it does wash off. No powder, but they do leave a small residue on my hands, but I don't mind, it makes them feel e largest problem I have with these is that a number of them have a black mold-like substance in the small cuff, besides that they're fine. They arrived in time, proper size and count. Everything looked good.I deducted one star for the smell, and one for the black mold (I think) on some of te: I use them for crafting, so I just tossed out the ones with the mold. If I were a doctor or something I'd return the whole batch.
I use these for cooking (jalapeños, working with meat, etc), working with certain household chemicals, and any other time I do something messy. I absolutely love these. They fit well, and stretch well too. Myou husband has significantly larger hands and is able to use (barely) thanks to the flexibility. Powder free, so they're meal safe. No discernable smell, either.
I love these gloves, they are simple to place on and are stretchy enough to fit my husband's burly man hands (personally, I could use the medium instead of the huge but he does the majority of the meat chopping for me, so this is what I work with and it still works out because my fingers are thinner but longer than his). I'd recommend little or medium gloves for e lack of powder is wonderful, since I sometimes go through several pairs a day doing things like food preparations, cleaning the toilet bowl with a pumice stone (I worked as a maid in college and just about barfed when I saw one of the maids use her ungloved hand to pumice inside a toilet - gag) and the powder is beautiful drying to the son uses the gloves every time he pooper scoops the littler box for our cat. I cringe thinking that I used to take care of my cat's litter when I was a child completely gloveless, eek.I use the gloves to scrub the grout in my shower not so much for germ protection, but because the bleach-y cleaner is super hard on my skin. Same same with the oven cleaner.I love roasted beets, I use them in salad and hummus (I know beet hummus sounds weird but it really is delicious with a side of grilled pita and chicken) and these gloves hold me from getting the red beet juices on my hands when I peel the beets (beet juice stains on my fingernails look a bit scary).Speaking of fingernails, these gloves are beautiful durable, I have thin but sharp fingernails, I hold them beautiful short, I'm too lazy to paint and do all the other manicure items to them and these gloves stand up beautiful well to my fingernails, I've not experienced hint tearing while doing something gross like breading chicken or filling wontons.I want the was a bit lower, if I bought them in the large amount that healthcare centers them, they would be a lot cheaper. But all in all a amazing product and well worth the price.
When I got out of the hospital latest year, these are the gloves that their Home Care supplies sent to me for use in caring for the IV line & PIC line & other needs. They fit well, they're sturdy, yet thin & extremely flexible, so you barely message you're wearing gloves. I actually use them outside of medical needs for cleaning around the house -- they're dozens better than those thick clunky rubber gloves sold in supermarkets. I will hold buying these again!
Other disposable gloves just don't chop it if you need something that will hold your hands reasonably dry when washing dishes or your hair. These, however, actually conform to the fingers, palm. and wrist and prevent liquid from contacting the skin, which may be necessary if there is a wound that should be kept as dry as possible. Are they completely waterproof - no - thicker surgical gloves would be required for that. But for exposure to water for less than extended periods, these are very useful. One caveat - they are intended to be disposable, so discard after each use. Only question I have about them is why the size medium is higher in than the large.
These are proving to be useful in a number of ways. Originally, I bought these to package on the rub and handle raw meat before it makes it to the smoker. They do exceed at this - amazing news, I really only need one hand with the glove. I have also used them for first aid - applying ointments / salves. Work for cleaning grungy items and are powerful enough to handle scrubbing and don't inhibit you from holding tools. Overall, amazing - however, do not feel like spiderman or anything when wearing these 'Venom' gloves.
These are by the worst gloves I’ve had as far ripping. Went through 3 gloves the first day. Even the Harbor Freight blue gloves latest longer.Would not these again.I use some sort of glove every day. Have been for at least 5 years now.
The short review:I won't be back for more of e longer review:I was hoping that these would be tougher than some of the other gloves that I have and have used in the past. These seem to be about average for disposable gloves. They seem to rip and puncture easy. I do a lot of various work on all types of equipment, from complete restoration to easy oil changes. The first pair I used on an oil change ripped on the fingers quickly as did the second pair. The third and beyond seemed to latest a small better and went for the remaining 4 hours of the day.I do like that these are a better fit, they are snug but not tight on the hands and fingers. The gloves have a amazing cuff length on them and cover most of the wrist area. I like the white inside of the glove, this shows any little holes and rips very easily. I wonder if some of the locations on the gloves are thinner than others and lead to ripping easier.I think that there are other gloves that are less expensive and preform just as well as these.
This glove must be created from a feminine hand mold be. The glove does not fit properly and is obviously molded from a feminine hand design. It is uncomfortable to wear and difficult to place on. Ther glove shredded within mins while I was cleaning brake parts. The Auto Location Astro Grip Hi-viz powder disposable glove, Part Number: 66573 is the best and at the same price.
Okay, first a small history of my past experience with this brand of gloves. Those godawful Venom Steel Nitrile Gloves they in the shop (one size fits most), I'm looking at you wally-world, are just awful. I bought these gloves, and at $20 for 100, I figured they'd be amazing. Nope, they tore begin every time I used them, and were just not good for the I had then, I pull the trigger and jump on these in XL, since I have between L & XL hands. Anyways, they present up and right away I can tell an immediate difference in quality. They are reinforced inside with some sort of white interior lining that makes tearing this quite impossible (no impossible if you try, just hear me out). They work well around automotive, and with everything in the yard. Before you say "Yea, well duh." my latest gloves didn't. They fell apart while I was just quickly fixing a mulch and lightly used a shovel (wrong glove for the job, again I know, but I had them on in a pinch). Anyways, these gloves? No problem. Shovel with them, use a chainsaw, take the heads off a 6.0 diesel, etc. I'm never going back to any other type of throwaway glove. These are the best ever. Forget the ones in the store, them here.
I have used different gloves over the years - latex, non-latex, powdered, powder and always a compromise. For me, 6 mils is the excellent thickness and powder-free nitrile. I've used 5 and 7 mm. 5 is too thin, 7 is too thick. 6 is like Goldilocks. These have a nice tactile feel to them, not completely smooth... except on the inside. The black outside is slightly textured but the white lining is smooth allowing it to be place on easier than others. The description also mentioned the ability to use a phone or touch screen with them on. It's true. No various than a bare hand. I'll be using these gloves from now on whether working on my vehicle or around household chemicals. They haven't torn on me yet either which I can't say about other nitriles.
I normally these at my hardware store, but the hoarders bought them all up, so I had to here on Amazon. These gloves are thick and durable, and I mostly used them for working on my vehicle or for dirty work. But lately I've had to use them for taking care of my wife battling cancer. I have to glove up and mask up to drain her catheters every night, and these work great, if not a small overkill. Much better than vinyl gloves which often rip when I test to obtain them sThick and tough - amazing for working on cars or for dirty rfect for sanitary applicationsMuch more tear resistant compared to vinyl and latex nsBox is heavier - but that comes from getting a much tougher glove.
I have used this product for industrial and construction applications involving chemical use and working on electronic boards. Now because of the pandemic BS. Amazon will not it. I have to obtain it threw industrial and electrical, HVAC, and plumbing supply companies and the is now 5x of what it should be with a strictly limited supply. Price gouging and hoarding and the people and industries that need it are having a lot of problem getting it. Amazing product when it was priced well. F you amazon! But when it is available again I will continue to the product. Not a amazing value for the now and amazon will not even it to me as a contract business owner who needs such protective equipment. Amazing well created product for its intended industrial use.
Nice massive duty Nitrile glove. These are being used to mitigate/ minimize COVID 19 virus when out shopping and using public facilities and things like ATM’s and Gas pumps. Thicker than standard nitrile glove allows one the do grocery shopping without having the gloves tear.
My husband is a diesel mechanic, and I bought these gloves for him. about 15% of the gloves tore while being pulled on, before any work was done. A couple others snagged and tore from the obtain go. The rest were amazing though. I feel like that's a high number of duds. The info presented here would lead me to believe that they could at least handle being place on a hand, especially one that isn't too huge for them. My husband's employer has just started providing gloves, so I won't need to more, but if I did, I'd be looking at another brand. Perhaps we got unlucky. I always read reviews first and this particular brand has some really amazing ones. But I wouldn't wish to test another box with a 50:50 possibility of the same results. Just hold in mind that our experience may be special to us.
