It has a nice color and is simple to work with, but while I was using it to create a wire ring project, I noticed the plastic covering (which gives it its yellow gold color) peeled off. The base metal was exposed (which I think is aluminum). I felt disappointed. I will not recommend this for making jewelries.
I loved the quantity and price point as I am fresh to the craft of making jewelry and this allows me to practice and create amazing looking pieces without a huge price point to worry over if I create a mistake. The size and color were excellent for what my needs were.
i will definitely be buying more as needed. works amazing for making jewelry pieces. simple to bend yet stays in place. i can leave my creations round or hammer them flat for added interest. very bright silver color. my jewelry pieces look awesome with this wire!
The gold alright but the silver matches my kitchen sink method better than it does any of my sterling jewelry. Very low quality "silver plate".I'll hold them because it difficult to search 20 guage gold in my area. Maybe I can use the silver up on wall hangings or something.... Def not high enough quality to be used for jewelry.
Excellent all around gauge for beading and earrings. Works well with looping tool. Colors are as pictured and work amazing with gold or silver connectors.
I love this product ! [email protected]#$%! came in larger quantities! I use it for jewelry making
It is a 50 feet Aluminum coil wire. The wire is in 3 millimeters diameter. The wire is dull, there is no reflection or shiny like stainless steel. I don't search it suitable for making jewelry because of the dullness. To me, the wire is beautiful stiff to bend. It is a @#$%!&allenge to bend to the smallest circle at this stiffness, but it works amazing for my lantern.
This is excellent type of wire that I required to complete a unique Halloween project. The wire is very sturdy and super simple to bend. It holds up beautiful well after you have completed bending the wire to your liking. Definitely amazing quality and reasonably priced.
We bought this aluminum wire to create keep down stakes for our drip sprinkling system. They work excellent for that. stainless steel is tool tough to work with, so aluminum is ere are a lot of other uses for this wire.
My daughter loves this wire. The wire is powerful and flexible The wire bends just the method you wish it without fighting with it. My daughter uses the wire to create crafts. I would love to see her create a sculpture of a face with it.
This aluminum wire is amazing for holding plant stems to protective enclosures without constricting them. It can be manipulated into fairly rigid rings by hand, but will require a wire cutter to break off the segment. These rings will stay in place, but let the plant to grow through it without constructing the stem/vine. Because of its strength, the aluminum rings can be opened and closed without twisting and are simple to is wire is a bit too stiff for most crafting applications and will take a tool to manipulate it into tight bends. Though, it will bend nicely and stay in place. It is just difficult to obtain the curve smooth without the proper tools. For more corse applications, with arcs of a centimeter or more in diameter, it should perform well, even when manipulated by hand. For most finer crafting applications I prefer 2.5mm or smaller diameter wire which is a nice compromise between flexibility and strength.
The Jewelry Craft Wire is powerful and flexible. My daughter used the wire to create jump rings, a rosario and some chams. She still has plenty Jewelry Craft Wire left for future crafts.
This cord is amazing for making solid braclets & necklaces. This does not streach at all. You will have to attach a clasp to end your jewerly using this product. It seems very sturdy n flexable to work with. I use wire clippers to chop this to the size i need for each product. I have nothing poor to say about this product.
The item is simple to work with. A amazing value for the price. I did not have any issues with the item. The item arrived on time as expected.
I am just starting our in making Rosary Beads and this spool seems like a amazing put to start. I have completed one set so far and so far everything seems sturdy enough ti be acceptable.
The spool came with the top half of the spool broken off and only half of that was even there so it was clearly broken before shipping. The quality of the wire is fine but if you've ever worked with a spool of wire before, you know how hard it is to work with a broken spool.
Used it for an wire sculpture project with 7th grade. Simple to chop and work with, I want the wire was more pliable and easier to bend.
What I got was method too "lively"/springy to call dead soft. No huge thing there, you anneal it and it will be. But if you were looking for wire that was soft right out of the package, you might search this a bit difficult to handle. I got the length and gauge I ordered, and the wire was smooth and bright. It makes nice projects and polishes up pretty. But if you're counting on making tight turns or coils, you'll need to anneal this to obtain it to be dead soft.
Decent wire and simple to work with. I want I could tell if it's actually 125 feet but without taking it off the reel and measuring it I'll just have to trust it's the right length. It kind of does look like very small wire but not 100% sure on the length. I wish others to understand it's COPPER. Pure uncoated copper. It will turn your skin green because again it's COPPER. That is not the seller's fault but a very natural reaction. Those of us who create jewelry know this. So if you are making jewelry for the first time you will have to coat it yourself or spray on an enamel to prevent green skin. It will oxidize and tarnish beautiful quickly as is NORMAL FOR COPPER. So hold that in mind before reviewing this product. I've noticed several people complaining about copper's normal reaction to skin and wanted to create sure others understood that it's not the fault of any seller just the natural state of copper itself.
I purchased 30ga Dead Soft Round Sterling Silver Wire. It’s exactly that and of amazing quality. I waited to review because at first thought it felt like the 28ga, but it is thinner. Both 28ga & 30ga are very thin. It was simple to work with and the price is right. For Wire Weaving it works very well. I used it on a very little Charoite Cabochon with 22ga SS Wire I also purchased on Amazon. I’ll buy it again!
I create and sell jewelry, so I’ve ordered this wire several times again. I’ve tried out various types of wire, but hold coming back to this. It’s soft enough to wrap, but holds its shape well. I wouldn’t recommend a single wrap since it is soft enough to work with, but a double wrap (such as for a ring) works perfectly fine.I wear my jewelry out often as advertisement and haven’t had any issues with oxidization of the metal, and that’s with washing my hands, washing dishes, eat quality sterling silver for a amazing price!
Use this to create colloidal copper. Arthritis symptoms are gone and my circulatory system seems to be working better as I can create goals at the gym happen easier without being exhausted the next day.
I ordered this and it took me several days to finally begin it to begin using it. I have never worked with wire that was this not good before! I will never again buy this item. I just took a very little gold colourful one and as soon as I started using it the finish came right off. I was very careful with it too. I will never order this again. I didn't wish to return it so I am stuck with this and will not be using it for anything. I really wanted it to be a amazing wire to work with.
Beautiful packaging but looks are a bit misleading. From pictures it appears that there is a lot more wire with each spool. In actuality there was almost enough wire to wrap around and cover spool once (still a bit of white space). Spools are a few inches high.
I just got around to looking at this thoroughly and realized the silver wire looked like it wasn’t all there, as if some of it was used. There clearly isn’t the same amount as the other colors. I can easily move it around on the spool whereas the others are tightly wound. Wonder if I can obtain more of the silver. Create sure you inspect your item thoroughly when it comes in!
Using the wire for jewelry making. The black wire’s coating is immediately coming off when I touch it with any kind of jewelry tools including regular cutters. Not satisfied with it. The black would only be amazing for hand manipulation. The gold and silver so far are much better. Honestly thought there would be more wire for the price. Packaging was beautiful; kind of feel like I paid for it more than the wire.
This wire is strong, and flexible without being loose. I’m a jewelry maker and sell wire bracelets and I totally depend on the wire to be strong, never break, but also be flexible so that I can move huge beads around and out. I love this wire. The yardage is so generous, and the product is the best I’ve ever used.
This was some of the first jewelry wire I purchased when I started wrapping. It's simple to work with, and takes small effort to bend and manipulate, but I'm marring it quite easily. Very small pressure or grabbing with tools and the color is stripped right off. I've since found wires that withstand my tools and hold their coloring.
Looks like true sterling silver, white and shines. Has a massive feel even though it's 22 guage. I've created jump rings and head pins so far but bought it to create a byzantine bracelet where you need a lot of jump rings. And, the seller followed up with me and I appreciate that. Price was right too. I've never used this brand before but l will definitely buy this again and test the yellow gold finish next time.
I build model kits mostly military tanks , in most kits the tracks are no longer one piece rubber, they are separate track links and instead of using the plastic pins they give you , I use this wire it works perfectly .Glad I bought it !
Normally I don't bother with reviews, but I have to on this one. At first I loved the wire, it was pliable and attractive on finished products. But now, less than a month later, on their own these pieces have all yellowed. I'm just glad this happened before my next show.
Unfortunately I didn't realize the wire was not coated so what every jewelry piece I create will leave black marks on the wearer. If there is a method to hold that from event other then returning the wire I'd like to know. What I do like is the method each wire is packaged with each wire in its own small pack which is labeled with the gauge size. I'm super satisfied that it is created in the USA. I'm still weighing out if I should return it.
I use several gauges of wire in my work but had a local source I've used for quantity purchases. Bought these as samples. They are of perfect quality, non-coated...should patina beautifully. A amazing price for a amazing selection if sample sizes. Thank You!
Like the other gauges, I bought this one to learn to create wire gemstone jewelry, it did not disappoint. I highly recommend it.I also recommend if you've never created wire jewelry, go to youtube and watch a bunch of videos on how to and especially which gauges work best for what.
This is the first time wire wrapping so I have nothing to compare to. As a first time user I would say the quality is good, the price was amazing compared to others that I looked at. Ease of use may have only been a small difficult to be since I had never used it before. Overall, very happy with purchase.
This is a unbelievable package for a beginner to begin out with - there are enough various gauges included that you can experiment with your creativity to your heart's content, and you won't have much left over afterward.
Excellent assortment for beginners. I wanted to create jewelry but wasn’t sure what size wire I wanted to use. This set gave me a bit of everything and was more than enough for a lot of trial and errors
This was a small on the expensive side, but I went to a hardware shop and had such a hard time with the chicken wire from there that I returned it and bought this one. It's thin and simple to bend, which "real" chicken wire is not, so this was excellent for my wreath picture frame. I still have about half a roll left so it's enough for a project or two. I would recommend this!
Beautiful amazing wire and simple to adjust. It's standard silver, I spray painted mine black for my project.
Very simple to manipulate for crafts. People on here complained that it was folded, but the folds were super simple to straighten. I straightened the folds and rolled it up. :)
I used this wire to place in my huge pots for my pathos plants to climb on. It's simple to handle and snip with wire cutters. I create a tube the diameter I wish and chop so edges bend to attach ends. Then I put the tube in the pot already filled 1/3 to 1/2 with dirt. I then fill the pot making sure the it is secure and will not fall out. I plant my pathos around the pot training it to go around and up the wire. I hold training it until all the wire is covered. When the plant fills out its lush, green and can be used inside and is would be a amazing family project just be careful of chop wire edges until they are bent to secure ends of tube. They are sharp and could chop small fingers.
