    Encyclopedia Britannica 2001 Deluxe Edition []  2020-1-1 19:1

Everyone knows that Britannica was the first publisher of encyclopedias. This product did not fail my expectation. I have use this a lot of times to do research and project. One huge plus over Microsofts Encarta is the articles. The articles is much more in depth and longer than Encarta. Encarta users (like myself) will search Britannica to have a very various format. It is certainly less eye catching and lacks a lot of of Microsoft's multimedia features. However, what it lacks in snazz, it makes up for in content. I like both Encarta and Britannica because of these differences, and I will continue to use both. As far as info is concerned, Britannica is the grand-daddy of encyclopedias. The content is identical to the company's online version, but for users concerned about downtime and slow downloads, the CD-ROM ver is a life saver. Also, the offline ver allows parents of young kids to access the content without supervision and without installing Internet filters.I recommand you buy this amazing product.

As a reference, less than useless. Less than useless because it is grossly deficient in genuine info and routinely indulges in baseless opinion. Imagine a so-called "encyclopedia" with not even 900 words on India! My old '94 ver of Compton's CD offers 7,000 words on the country, its people, customs, economy, religions ...Britannica indulges in opinion without offering a word of help for it. .The CD ver of Britannica is a comedy of interface blunders. Load the glacially slow program, then you must click on another "opener" to obtain to a find window. The text of articles defaults to a sidebar, while the find results, most of which are irrevelant to the find term entered, occupy the bulk of the page. You must click on "full page view" after EVERY find to read the articles brought up -- unless you're content to read them in a three- or four-word for "Paul Gallico" and the first entry brought up is "Golden Gloves." What's the relevance? Of Gallico, Britannica says, "New York organizer [of the Golden Gloves] was Paul Gallico of the Fresh York Everyday News." Britinnica is unaware of Gallico's fame for his enduring stories.Wilbur the pig philosophied in "Charlotte's Web" that something could be less than nothing. Britannica has proven him Book is IT in computer-based encyclopedias.

The Britannica CD's is one of the best of it's kind, and for the purpose of concise very updated and responsible info -without the need to tour in huge books - it does the work on the best way.

The encyclopedia britanica on cd is method better than the book version: The articles and entries are hyperlinked, so you can jump from one entry to another immediately. Find for what you like and then click away on a tangent! You can always return to where you were. I got the britanica for reference, and now it's become reading material!I do not have the 2001 edition: I purposefully bought the 1999 edition and I wish to tell you why: Since the 1999 edition, the britanica has been placed on two cd's. It's a fancy pack -- with multimedia, pictures, movies, etc, and I would have loved to have had it, but... it's two cd's! This is the one major disadvantage of this offering: Most people don't have two cd players on a single computer. What's worse, notebook computers just don't come with two cd players. This means that you'd need to flip cd's. That didn't create sense to me -- having to carry an additional cd around + having to flip cd's, so I specifically asked for the 1999 edition off of the britanica web site... .Other than that, the find engine's a bit simpler than what I would have liked, but... that's a minor thing.Having the britanica on cd is a special experience -- authoritative info within seconds, links to extra relevant info only clicks away. No book can compete with this, and really no other encyclopedia -- after all, this is the britanica!

Been in touch with the Tech help from Britannica and they came up with a suggestion to overcome the lack of a contents page. The suggestion was to run searches for( ab*, ac*...za*..) on the titles instead of entire articles. It isnt a excellent solution but it r being the best encyclopedia and its extensive articles I think it deserves to be re-rated. Falling short of perfection with the lack of a contents page, which I hope will be corrected. In addition the tech help from the web websites was very prompt and professional.

Putting the merits of the content aside (though I tend to agree with other writers that the content is shallow as a coy pond), this product has a poorly conceived interface that works only intermittently. Couple this with the poorest help effort around, and you will be pulling your hair out every time the children say "Daddy, the encyclopedia doesn't work again."Most irritating of all is the [price]per call 900 number that Britannica uses for telephone yorself the aggravation, avoid it!!!

I remember as a child using the Encyclopedia Britannica for a lot of research projects and never thought I see the day when the whole thing fit onto a little disk. Now my kids can have the entire set without having to take up a bookcase for the e install was a small tough since it locked up twice before I finally got it to work. Remember to disable any virus or SQL software you have running. There are 3 install types, typical which will require the other 2 discs in order to run. 1 disc and complete which requires 2GB of disk zone but eliminates the use of the cd-roms.I finally got it to run under 95/98 and ME and quality of the photos and sound needed fairly decent hardware. I did like the ability to interact directly from the program to the internet but you must have internet access before you have over 7,000 pictures, over 83,000 doents, video clips, audio clips, some 1500 plus charts and maps and Webster's Dictionary included. Without the initial hiccups this software is very amazing and would rival anything else out there.

I love references and have frequently enjoyed looking things up or just browsing Britannica. At latest the entire text of this unbelievable encyclopedia was available loaded on to my hard drive so carrying around disks would not be necessary!...With amazing anticipation I purchased, loaded and opened the Encyclopedia Britanica. Within thirty days I had discarded it as useless. Why? 1. The encyclopedia feeds you only pieces of articles, paragraphs at a time requiring a frustrating series of clicking even to read one article. 2. Even when you are "allowed" to obtain a larger segment of an article, the viewing box is NOT resizable, requiring constant scrolling. 3. Searching is based on finding text in titles or the body of the article. This may be amazing as a latest resort, but the unbelievable and complex index of the book ver is NOT AVAILABLE! 4. It comes with Merriam-Webster dictionary. Of course "Webster" is not copyrighted and any garbage dictionary can use that word, but I know Merriam-Webster to be of very high quality. Unfortunately, you cannot load the dictionary unless you also load the encyclopedia. You must find the dictonary with the same useless find mechanism of the encyclopedia and of course the little dictionary window is NOT resizable, forcing you to scroll for the smallest definitions. 5. Six months later, I'm still waiting for my rebate.A Waste of money. I'm still waiting for a useful encyclopedia that can be independent of disks.

WORLD ATLAS: Either it is very not good or I can't figure out how to use it. Either way, the fault of this product. I mostly bought this Britannica for the globe atlas, because I can't obtain an Encarta globe atlas which will run on Windows 7.ENCYCLOPAEDIA: I lived abroad for years, so I looked up Kerkrade. A little city in Europe. Britannica has one sort of vague paragraph. Then I looked up Kerkrade on Wikipedia and found about 10 - 15 times as much information.

I always liked Encarta, but it conflicts with other required software, so I can't use it. I wanted an encyclopedia/dictionary combination at hand, and so I tried Encyclopedia Britannica Deluxe 2010. The stuff that I have searched on so far have yielded amazing info and quite a bit of it, and it is amazing to be able to compare what Britannica gives me with what I search elsewhere. Since my purpose was to have a locally installed reference, I have not used Britannica less enthusiastic observations are these: The app loads quite slowly on a beautiful quick computer (entirely installed on the hard drive). The dictionary find is also slow and the results seem quite abridged. The language dictionaries contain only English and Spanish, while I reminisce fondly about the German, French, and Italian capabilities of Encarta.Other than these little limitations, the encyclopedia seems quite a amazing tool.

With the demise of Microsoft's Encarta (it has been discontinued) and the tribulations of the Wikipedia (its rules have been revamped to resemble a traditional encyclopedia, alienating its contributors in the process), the Encyclopedia Britannica 2010 (established in 1768) may have won the war of e Encyclopedia Britannica 2010 Ultimate Edition (formerly "Student and Home Edition") builds on the success of its completely revamped previous editions in 2006-9. The vacuum left by the Encarta (lamented) discontinuance, though, should create it easier to shop the Student and Elementary versions (which are an integral part of the Ultimate Edition and not sold separately).Still, the 2010 editions of both the Student and Elementary encyclopedias improve on the past in terms of both coverage and facilities: the Homework Helpdesk is a collection of useful homework resources including a video topic browse, online learning android games and activities, online topic spotlights, and how-to doents on subjects such as writing a book review. Why not use a more current - and dynamically updated - offering? What about dictionaries for specialty terms (medical or computer glossaries, for instance)?Despite considerable improvement over the previous edition, the Britannica still consumes (not to say hogs) computer resource far in excess of the official specifications. This makes it less suitable for installation on older PCs and on netbooks. If you own a machine with anything earlier than Pentium 4, less than 1 Gb RAM, and less than 10 Gb of really free space, the Britannica would be clunky at best. But that's it. Don't think twice. Were you one of those kids who dreamed of having his own Encyclopedia Britannica at home? I was. Didn't achieve that until I was well into adulthood - and then not a lot of years after acquiring the printed set, EB started publishing electronically. Sure, there isn't much, if anything, today that you can't search on the internet. Still for a few dollars, having the Encyclopedia Britannica on your local computer is still a e articles are generally more acceptable as sources as opposed to Wikipedia or a lot of other web sources. As a browser, it is still fun to randomly discover the 87,500 articles they claim to have. The maps in the Atlas portion aren't very good, but they are handy for fast reference when you need a fast bit on population density or the depths at different points in the ocean. (You'll also need your reading glasses for a lot of of them: they are little and fixed size.) The timelines are a lot of fun for adults and kids alike. You pick a topic and then select the highlights shown along a timeline for a more detailed description, such as the domestication of the horse. I was interested in buying this encyclopedia software, but wondered if it would be compatible with Windows 7, which I intend to install soon. I sent a contact notice at the Encyclopedia Britannica website, and ask them this question. This is what they responded:"The 2010 Deluxe edition DVD is not compatible with Windows 7. However, our 2010 Ultimate DVD will run on Windows 7."But I do not see the Ultimate software available on amazon at this time (2/23/10). It is available at the Britannica www service for $40, and entitled: 'Britannica 2010 Ultimate Reference DVD', and specifically indicates that it will run on Windows 7.Hopefully, amazon will obtain it soon, as I have the 'amazon chase visa' and obtain 3% reward points for all purchases from amazon.

I just purchased this package. I have been extremely satisfied with the Brittanica products in the past. HOWEVER, this particular pack has the rather unusual requirement that it will run ONLY on G5 and dual core processors! In other words, this will not run on ANY of the majority of Macs currently in use, particularly in educational settings (where the machines tend to be not cutting edge), and won't run on any Mac laptops except the fresh Mac Books.

Everyone should have Encyclopedia Britannica loaded on their computer. This is especially necessary for people without access to the internet and all families with students. Simple to find and simple to read once you have found it. In many, perhaps most, cases it beats searching the WEB for the respond to your question or for doing your homework.

The pages could be blank and it would still be more than worth the cost. Thankfully, the pages are actually full of interesting info about the games. The aesthetic of the book is absolutely amazing. I can't congratulate Dark Horse Books enough on 's definitely an encyclopedia; it isn't a huge storybook. I love having a reference book to look up info about the series, though. You can look up information about items, enemies, locations, characters, and even the android games themselves.

First of all, the book is attractive to look at. From the cover to the content within it. It is simply eye catching and colorful. The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia divides its content so it is simple to follow. From Traditions and History of Hyrule to Life & Culture and Creature & Demons. The only downside is that it does not contain any information regarding Breath of the Wild, but do not be disappointed. This awesome book is filled with content that will create you love the Hyrule lore even more.

I first saw this in a bookstore and the $80 price mark was a small too high for me. However, when I found it on Amazon for about $30 cheaper I bought it without hesitation. As a Zelda fan and a retro gamer, this book fits in well with it's attractive NES cart design. It was actually the NES sleeve that sold me on it. When I opened up the box and looked inside, there was a lot more than I e book itself is designed wonderfully! Even if you don't wish to read it (for some reason) it just looks fantastic. The scale to an actual NES cart is almost exact. You can tell that a lot of work and design went into the method that it looks. The content of the book itself is amazing as well. Everything from how the android games were designed to lore is included. There are full-color pictures and I haven't found a single page that hasn't caught my eye. As someone who loves video android games and video android game history, this book just makes me so so included is a "manual" for the book, just like what you'd obtain in a boxed NES game. The whole thing just feels like a collector's edition. My Zelda collection would not be complete without this book.

Maybe the fact it is styled off of an NES cartridge caused me to guess it was on the smaller side but I wasn't prepared for what was delivered. The box it came in was huge enough to house a laptop and it weighed several kilos and inside, pristinely packaged safely, was the most gorgeously bound book I have ever owned. From cover to cover, even the gilded edges of each page, the book is gold upon gold; it is a treasure to behold. Every square inch of it's exterior surface is gilded and e sleeve is created of a related material as an actual NES cartridge and I have small doubt it will protect the corners and cover of the book for a lot of years. Something tells me it's not something a lot of people are going to hold filed away in a bookcase though. This book begs to be shown as a side, the book is well bound and constructed in a related fashion as an encyclopedia. It's binding is robust and I don't expect it to present much wear even with massive use. Even the edges of each page are pristine and cleanly chop with no lines or uneven edges as sometimes happens in modern print books. In short, the book is excellent in every way.Once you obtain past the cover and begin judging the book, it's broken up into several sections including historical, and a database of characters and e book even has an instruction manual on the outside of the box, in the same giant sized scale, but familiar shape of an NES android game manual. It helpfully advises not to immerse in liquid, or shop next to any pots which may be e art work is top notch and pays homage to the attractive artwork of the early NES instruction manuals. Half of the fun of owning The Legend of Zelda on the NES was looking at the manual and the maps. In my pre-adolescent mind, the instructions artwork showed me how the android game was actually supposed to look, rather than how the limitations of the system could display it. Using my imagination as I played the game, the blocky stand ins for mount doom, became craggy mountain peaks and the overworld became a fantasy theme park cover ocean, sea, and is book is like an NES manual, taken to unbelievable lengths, and penned with the most fantastical artwork and writing that any gamer could ask for.Well worth the $35. Buy these while you can because I can see these only increasing in value for a lot of years to come.

This book was absolutely worth the wait, I have been waiting on pins and needles since preordering back in November. The plan was to not break the seal but I couldn't support myself. I can't stop touching this book, as soon as you remove the book from the sleeve you feel the nostalgia with the rough, textured cover that resembles an old NES cartridge complete with shiny gold cover. The inside of the cartridge sleeve is lined with velvet flocking adds a nice touch. With a to-scale instruction booklet this completes this awesome bundle of e book itself is very in depth with all the info and artwork from the past android games that any Zelda fan can handle and then some. Unfortunately, you won't see anything from BOW here. When the release date was changed from April to June my assumption was that they intended to add the BOW content, it is a small disappointing it's not ide from cosmetic appearances the deluxe edition doesn't vary in content compared to the standard edition.I had some serious concerns about how the book would be shipped since I've received enough Zelda books sent in envelopes via Amazon, resulting in a lot of damaged books. Seeing a book shaped box inside the Amazon shipping box almost created me giddy. Packaged in it's own form fitting box, my book arrived in amazing condition.

Dark Horse Books has done an exceptional job in making the Deluxe Edition of The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia. The book comes as a faux NES gaming cartridge that is sleeved in it's own video-gaming case; It accurately reflects the look and feel of the old NES cartridge. Upon removing the book from the sleeve, the cover of the book is textured with a gritty surface that mimics the original NES cartridge too. The left side of the book even has the smooth feel and raised bumps (in ladder formation) along the left-hand side of the book--it's an incredibly nice touch and it pays homage to the days of old for this wonderful anniversary book. Even the sides of the pages are gilded, to give the book a nice shimming and polished aesthetic. The back of the book has a nice Caution label too, that was a cute touch to e contents inside of the book is nicely laid out in clean clear text, with pictured examples of just about everything from a dozens of sources. The book has an extensive bibliography from what sources all material inside is presented and included from. The book is divided into three sections that encompasses the entire The Legend of Zelda history: Historical Records, Database, and thing to note is that this book is translated from the original Japanese encyclopedia, The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Encyclopedia, that was released March 1, 2017. As such, any Breath of the Wild (BOTW) material is abhorrently absent within, despite material from the android game being credited on page #2 of the publishing credits. If BOTW material is covered in the book, I certainly don't see it at all.I definitely recommend this book for fans of The Legend of Zelda, as this is a attractive book that includes a plethora of unbelievable info about all of the games. Everything is presented in gorgeous fashion to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of this iconic franchise.

It's a attractive book that will be cherished forever. It did come with a few scrapes and unwanted bends though, not sure if that was shipping problem or just production issues.

Wow! Truly excellent! The design of the book is extremely clever and they definitely did not skimp on info (except if they are trying to create it look exactly like a android game cartridge they forgot to contain the photo of the screws -- either 3 or 5). I knock off a star because, as a Zelda fan, I obviously already own Hyrule Historia and a amazing deal of this book goes over hero and timelines. I was hoping the book would have more history of development/gaming history rather than Zelda Universe history. But I suppose it wouldn't be an encyclopedia if it didn't test to cover it all! Definitely 4.5 stars for sure. It's jam packed with info. Perfect layout. I will be showing it off prominently on my display case.

I'll be honest with you folks, I never actually read or bought the other dark horse books of The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia and The Legend of Zelda: Art &Artifacts but they are both highly rated on amazon, I do plan on getting them as well. This deluxe edition is just a various cover for the Encylopedia. I do like how they indented in the hardcover itself to create it look like a old school cartridge with an old school cartridge sleeve... The pages themselfs have a gold t to it making the outer part of the book look all gold. Then there is also that additional gift of that instruction booklet which I found nice but won't spoil (it's just 6 pages) The content inside of it is basically a dictionary on everything zelda. It doesn't really explain the lore or the storys, the other two books did that already. What it does do is basically give definitions to all the zelda characters, items, and places. All very nice, dozens of items to cover. Then it goes on to expand the lore of what was covered in The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, as well as having concept art, maps, languages, etc. And an exlusive interview. Overall beautiful amazing for those hardcore zelda fans, even though most of these have been talked about in the previous two books already in terms of the artifacts and story in greater detail. But do note there is NO breath of the wild content here, I will explain why that is at the bottom. If I wasn't a collecter but still a zelda fan who owns the other two books, then I would recommend just getting the regular ver honestly. The deluxe edition sells itself on noglastia only, it's not really so much deluxe but rather a LIMITED edition ver or COLLECTORS edition of the regular book would have been better wording because really an additional booklet isn't very deluxe. I would have honestly given this a 4 out of 5 because ya there is really nothing deluxe about this, but I can't say I hate it either... I do love my hardcover books. smart, I always commendations - If you liked this book, then look foward to the upcoming breath of the wild book because as I mentioned before this book actualy has nothing about BOTW but instead they are making a whole book dedicated to only BOTW. Also as well as a mario encyclopedia if your into that kind of thing, and their final fantasy books that are also coming. All done by dark horse books so you should already know what to expect.

It is a amazing book to read for anyone that is bored or curious and wish to learn the a lot of various enemies, items, and other in android game similar things. I recommend it. Plus the hard cover of the book is amazing looking as well. It has a nice gold color to it. Also, it’s based on the gold edition of the 1st Zelda android game for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

This is a amazing encyclopaedia, and it is a fabulous deal to obtain it cheaply on DVD. While it is not as extensive and up-to-the-minute as Wikipedia, the articles are much better written and more reliable. (I warn my students not to trust anything on Wikipedia.)The text of the articles on the DVD appears to be identical to that of the printed version; however some of the figures from the printed ver appear to be missing from the DVD. (I can't be sure about this because I am comparing with the 2002 printed version.) Unfortunately, the maps on the DVD are of much lower quality than those in the printed e interface for reading the articles is beautiful good. It features tabbed browsing, and it gives you whole articles (unlike a previous edition). In my opinion the multimedia extras are cheesy and not worth the disk space. Maybe kids will like them, I don't know. Anyway, obtain this for the text, not for the extras.

Numerous articles surpassed what was written in wikipedia on the same article topic.I gave this three stars, because I definitely do not recommend this program for anyone using Windows 7 -even the Professional version. Either Microsoft or Britannica need to work out the compatibility bugs. This program does not install on any ver of Windows ever, I do intend to obtain a future edition that is clearly programmed for Windows 7 / 64 bit compatibility. If it were not for the compatibility issue, I would give it 5 stars.

    Encyclopedia Britannica Ultimate Reference Suite 2007 DVD-Rom (Win/Mac) []  2019-12-8 19:27

I have always loved the Britannica content, but here are my gripes with the install routine.(1) You cannot choose which components to install. You either obtain it all, or nothing. Already got the Merriam-Webster dictionary on your computer? Too bad. Obtain it again with the Britannica, whether you like it or not. And so on.(2) If you choose one of the 'lite' install methods, whereby you hold the DVD in the drive for video and picture content (which can save over 2GB of space...) there is NO OPTION to tell the software which drive it looks in for the DVD. I have a lot of optical drives, virtual drives, etc and I have the DVD in drive 'S'. I kept getting the stupid error notice 'User action required, Please Insert Data Disc' despite the fact the the DVD was sitting there in the drive (the same drive I installed the product from, incidentally). This is a huge issue for me, as I cannot use drive 'D' or 'E' (or whatever they are using as their unchangeable default - it's really awesome that the software would be so stupid).(3) Once you have chosen your install type, whether 'lite' or 'full', there is NO method to change it afterwards. If you created a 'lite' install and you wish to change it to a 'full' install, you have to UNINSTALL the entire product again and begin all over. And given that the install takes about 15 minutes, or roughly how long it takes Microsoft Office to install, this is a major pain in the backside. (Note to Britannica developers: Microsoft Office provides LOTS of install options, i.e. which components to install, and you can EASILY change them after installing. Your product should do the same.)To be honest, for a software pack that has been in development since 1998 - only slightly less time than Windows itself - it is truly awesome that it is so incompetent.

I purchased Britannica because my kids required a vetted source for their high school assignments and their teachers would not accept Wikipedia. Unfortunately, Britannica's coverage is too superficial to be of used. The entire product is contained on a single CD. The first subject I looked up was the Fresh Deal; Britannica gave it 674 words; Wikipedia 11,871. I looked up several others; all with related results. To me, Britannica is no more than a glorified dictionary. At that, Encarta is e product installed and functions without issue on Windows XP SP2.

I was disappointed with the software presentation aspects, especially how it lags considerably behind its competitors like Encarta - the layout is primary and a tad amateurish, the presentation is far from slick, the Atlas has maps that are simple, little square & sparse things that you can't zoom into, there is no virtual globe, quality of audio and video entires are soso and the response of the software is slow....but then....I started reading the articles - Feynman mini-bio written by James Gleick, ens by GK Chesterton, Relativity by Bergman, Intro to Quantum physics by Brian Greene...and so on...then you realize that this is Britannica, not Wikipedia or Encarta and THAT and THAT ALONE is worth the price of admission (especially if you obtain this on a deal...;-)..) - points deducted because in this day and age in the 21st century, lack of a whiz-bang slick look&feel to a software product is inexcusable. Also a lot of minor gripes like Updates don't obtain downloaded and added to the article like Encarta but things that you additionally see, only online and that too only if you register(free) - however - a must-have for knowledge junkies dedicated to quality

My 3 and my 10 year both old loved this book! It has a wide collection of animals and is detailed. The sound effects as well as the true images of animals create it really interesting for children. There is always something fresh to learn when it comes to my three year old; every time we begin this book something fresh gets his attention.I bought it again for my niece too 😍

Amazing product. My 4.5 year old loves it and there are a bunch of books in the set. I thought each book was centered on a various animal but it’s more about the various environments and sprinkles in facts about the animals in those areas. I want the whole book was a board book to create it more durable but still a cool gift.

Fact filled books with random facts, no plot or storyline. It seems like they chose to place a fresh random fact on ever page which created it confusing. The facts didn’t seem well tied together or thought out. Two stars because some of the facts were interesting, want this had been more organized, less random, and easier for a 5yo to engage with.

My grandson is a small over 2 yo and is beginning to obtain some enjoyment from e-readers if we do them together. Some of the colourful pads are a small too related for him to distinguish but that will come soon I'm sure. The pictures and topics are amazing in this set. The largest minus is the pictures on the covers of the books don't match the insides well enough for his age. For example, there's an otter on the cover of one book and yet it takes a lot of pages to obtain to any mention of otters. I think he will grow into it but I was hoping for more focus on a particular animal instead of say, marine animals.

So we decided to obtain it for him for Xmas and was very satisfied when he opened this book, but buttons wasn’t working and I had to run away trying to search a put to buy fresh batteries on Christmas morning. 1 hour and 10 dollars later I was finally able to create my son happy. He is still playing with this book every day and loves everything about it, but because this problem almost ruined our Xmas- 3 out of 5 stars.

I love how much info is in each page. It takes quite a while to read each page with your children repeating each word. I have a two year old and a four year old, they love how detailed each page is with each various animal and love pressing the buttons for the animal noise. We still havent gotten to the end of the book, we work on various pages every night. Its a amazing book for the end of the night to read at bedtime. My children favorite book for now!

This pack is excellent for the Accountant, the Bookkeeper or the Owner of a Little to Medium Size Business that likes to use most Accounting functions/reporting the "QuickBooks Guru", I use this particular ver for all my clients no matter if they have Pro, Basic, Contractor or Premier Version. The reporting functions are built in, so there is very small modifying if at ween the fresh templates, add on features, invoice functionality (much better)---and naturally the remote access feature that makes a amazing training feature between my clients and myself !The people that are disgruntled either have had not good set up,or are not understanding the ease of the program. I customize every client specifically to their business, and I have had NO complaints when they obtain their Income Statements, updated books, Bank Reconciliations...cash flow reports, Job Costs, Time tracking etc.If you KNOW QuickBooks, this is the program to BUY!

Just as advertised. All I wanted was Excel and Word. All other members of the current office family have tournament that can present them a thing or two. Have been running on Windows 7, no issues so far. Was even validated and recognized when registering with Microsoft. So they may have officially retired the product from their shelves, but they still recognize the legion of folks who wish to run antique software like this for their own reasons [I tried 365 for a month and found myself missing '03s rugged simplicity].

No help from Microsoft other than knowledge base, but there's a lot of info about the product. You buy it once, not a subscription every year. It is annoying that every time you startup the app it wamts you to agree to the EULA even if you register the product, which is no longer supported.

When her computer crashed that had Office 2003, she was unable to use any of the later MS Office programs. Now that she has office 2003 installed again on her current computer, she is able to write letters to her friends. Her left arm is paralyzed but she uses Office 2003 to type letter after letter. You have no idea how happy she is to have her favorite program back!

Best ver of Excel ever made by Microsoft! In my opinion Microsoft peaked out in 2003 and has been going down hill ever since. Windows 10 is a joke, and even more of a joke that they won't help Windows 7. I will go as long as I can without Windows 10 or upgraded to fresh Microsoft products. However I might add though, I am impressed with Azure and the Cloud so far!

Our fresh Dell Laptop wants us to reload the disc each time we begin this 2003 software, but we know better, we just clear off the notice each time and use the software. We have used a 2010 MICROSOFT OFFICE BASIC EDITION that we have on another laptop, but when we use it, and place formulas into a file, and save the program, and then come back to use the file the next day, the numbers are still there, but our FORMULAS HAVE BEEN ERASED, and we don't like that. This is why we purchased this MICROSOFT OFFICE BASIC EDITION 2003. We had a class on Excel in 1996, and this 2003 EDITION is as close as we could get.

This is outdated software sold under a 'Deluxe 2003' title. The Fashion Makeover www service to download updated fashions was discontinued in Sept 2000. So when it pops up on your screen your wardrobe is outdated--their isn't anything you can do to modernize it--(After much frustration I found the distributor advises you of this on their www service but not in the packaging.) Leaving limited fashions. I found the makeup app to resemble a coloring book and crayon style. I returned all 4 I purchased as gifts. What a shame it has not been updated.

I had doubts about dealing with Microsoft software this old because of the antipiracy key codes, and I was reluctant to pay very much for something I didn't think would very likely work. Surprise! It installed well, quickly, and the key code worked fine. I am runnning Windows 10 Home 1803. I included a pic of Excel 2003 on the screen after I installed it with the disk laying on the keyboard. This also included Word 2002, and Outlook Express. It offered me the option of installing alongside other versions. I also included a shot of the insert the seller sent me with the software. Don't hesitate to buy from this seller if you are one of those people that prefers to have the old versions.

My experience is very related to the person from NM: I had the first ver a long time ago, wasn't satisfied with its sluggish performance and silly interface. But the 2003 ver was on sale -- "free" after rebate -- so I said what the heck. I was still appalled by its not good design and implementation. Installation actually gave an error and crashed the first time! I restarted my PC and the second time it installed. But the program is just as slow as the first version. Things just aren't responsive. Support is no help. Really poor program.

So I have bought from amazon, Marvel’s The Avengers: The ultimate tutorial (New edition) and this edition... It has everything you need to know about the Marvel Universe. 99.9% of every hero in the Marvel from X-Men, The Avengers, FF4, Spider-Man, etc. What I like about this book has all the fresh storylines that I’ve heard about. If you’re a fan from MCU and you wanna know more history about these characters before Avengers: Endgame comes out... Buy it! Plus you can’t beat this price for $25 over 400 pages. Amazing book!

    Marvel Encyclopedia New Edition []  2020-5-3 18:16

This is the best Marvel tutorial that is up-to-date (2019) and is truly comprehensive. There are primary and necessary facts about each character, for example, They inform us that Doctor Doom first appeared in # 5 of Unbelievable Four in July 1962. They also set out the essential storylines, for example, The origin of Doctor Doom is told in the Unbelievable Four Annual #2. This is the kind of facts that are missing in the DK Tutorial to DC Superheroes. The drawings, however, may differ. For example, the drawing of Medusa here is a more latest rendition from the Medusa who first appeared in #36 of Unbelievable Four.Ant-Man, Yellow Jacket,Giant-Man and Goliath are all Henry Pym, and this confusion is well-explained in this book chronologically, including the cirtances of the changes. Unbelievable book for all Marvel Fans, fresh or old. Makes a nice bonus as well.

To be fair I’m a large Marvels fan and personally having seen the Fresh Edition of marvel encyclopedia I was thrilled to purchase it seeing as it was on sale for a reasonable price .I waited patiently ,and was thrilled when it shipped and wanted to obtain my hands on it as soon as possible so I could give it a very positive review. But sadly that was not the case now this is my private review the encyclopedia is awesome lots of info and detail on characters the art looks awesome nice piece to have displayed on your coffee table and have people come over to take a gander at and talk about their favorite character’s But now for the negative my marvel encyclopedia came worn and damaged the protective sleeve was covered in some sticky dirt substance the top corner end was bent and worn there were numerous scratches just horrible. For a fresh purchase item I was very disappointed now if this was a used purchased I would understand but as it was not I couldn’t look past it so my score stands .
