    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG16 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 16GB review []  2020-1-21 18:10

There are loads of security camera solutions on the shop with a lot of confusing combinations of technology, scalability, and pricing. I wanted a easy solution - a single inexpensive outdoor wide-angle camera with night vision, wireless connectivity, and the ability to view the camera online. The EZVIZ husky fits the bill nicely. My setup only needed me to screw the camera base in under the eave, run a concealed power cord, and connect to my house wireless. I've been using the camera since Nov S:1. Simple setup. I had no issue getting it connected to my wireless network.2. Motion detection. (The method this works is you configure a sensitivity setting. Each time it "trips" a couple mins of video are recorded on the embedded memory card - or up in the cloud on the Internet if you pay a nominal fee - $5.99/mo for 7 day plan.). To play a recorded file you call up a time index with highlighted locations representing times when recording was active. I can use this feature to search out when a vehicle arrived/left my house.3. Decent resolution - 3 available settings up to 1080p. This is not a PTZ camera, but I obtain a good, clear wide-angle field of vision.4. Night vision - infrared lights provide an inconspicuous but amazing zone of coverage.5. Push notifications - Need to be alerted when your camera detects motion? The application will do that. You can also configure time windows when you wish to turn on or suppress notifications. Even with notifications off the camera will record motion events.6. Internet connectivity - You can connect to your camera from anywhere in the globe over the net as long as you have the app. You logon with a username/password, and there are encryption settings to protect your NS:1. Unless you use PoE (power over Ethernet) and run a network cable you will need to create provision for electrical power. The camera has a little "wall wart" AC adapter that you will need to shield from the elements. I located my camera under the eaves and was able to conceal an outdoor extension cord to provide power.2. EZVIZ application - You have to use the EZVIZ application to view your camera. It gets the job done, but the interface feels dated. I've used both the Android device and the Apple ver and both work well. The application will help multiple cameras at once and you can view stored video from either the cloud or off the memory card. There are rudimentary features available to pause, zoom-in etc.3. Memory storage - I have bandwidth problems with my Internet provider so piping a bunch of video onto the net was out of the question. I can obtain about 3 days of stroage on the embedded memory card before the photos start overwriting. This is enough for my needs. You can save video from the camera to an external file if you are determined.4. Connectivity - I have periodically had problems with the camera dropping offline. Sometimes this happens when my wireless access point freezes up. Sometimes it seems to be the camera's fault. I have learned which circuit breaker cycles power to the outside outlet the camera uses as most problems are resolved by cycling power. Unfortunately if you are two states away and your camera goes off-line you are stuck.

This amazing camera is ruined by not good software design. The largest problem is the 5 min timeout for viewing the camera feed. Absolutely nowhere is this designed-in restriction mentioned in any marketing materials for their cameras or I wouldn't have bought them. I kept these cameras thinking this problem could be resolved by tech help but no, there's no method around it. I use the cameras to hold tabs on a family member with Alzheimer’s and their caretaker and it's absurd I constantly have to press play and wait for the camera to re-connect to view the camera feed. Ezviz claims this is to minimize impact on wireless data rates. I'm well aware of my data rates and how much I use and don't need Ezviz deciding how I use it. There especially shouldn't be a limit when wireless devices are connected to wi-fi.Even worse the Studio application on my PC is inflicted with the 5 min problem as well, although it is wired directly to my router. Why? Ezviz says that's just the method it is.Other issues:- Intermittent “Operation Error” when attempting to view clips in the Studio app.- Constant login issues. Why do I need to log into Ezviz servers in order to view my home cameras on my home PC? So I can't even do that if there are internet issues?- Studio application window is near impossible to re-size.- Numerous false motion alertsThe video quality the camera produces is quite good. Too poor its damned by software issues. I want I didn't invest in 4 of these cameras.

I own multiple of these troops and a few of the dome dozens from EZVIZ as well. They shoot crystal-clear recordings, but have some problems that create them less than perfect. Until a latest firmware update, the photo couldn't be flipped within the phone application. That has been resolved. What hasn't been resolved is the lack of help for a web browser to view live photos from the cameras. Another problem is that the Android device app does not let for easily going through a day of footage--it's impossible to create little adjustments going forward or backward a few seconds in either direction because the only method to advance or backup footage is with a clumsy scroll bar that cannot be dialed in for accuracy. It's a frustrating experience to test and adjust footage forward or backward. The no-longer-functioning web interface allowed for such adjustments. The phone application needs major improvements, and EZVIZ needs to add back help for a web interface or at least provide a portal of some kind to access, view, and download captured footage from a web ings I like:1) POE help -- create installing these so much easier2) Unbelievable photo quality3) Sturdy design that will keep up over years of useThings I don't like:1) Phone application is limited and frustrating to use2) No web-browser help for real-time viewing of captured feeds3) No web-browser help for downloading or viewing videosThis is one of those situations where amazing hardware is hampered by lousy software and apps. I hope EZVIZ comes out with improvements for their application that allows the user to adjust what increment that wish to adjust videos by (seconds, minutes, etc...)

I really like the set of features offered on this unit. It has power-over-ethernet (don't forget to order a separate PoE injector) so that you don't need to locate it near an outlet or run a long power cable to it. The picture is crisp. The motion-detection worked right out of the box (I didn't even need it for several months, and then I checked the application and saw that it had all of this saved video from detected motion since I installed it). It has an internal memory card so that you don't need to sign up for their cloud storage service. It's supposed to do wi-fi but I didn't wish to hassle with that (especially since doing so would require my running *power* out to it. As long as I'm going to be running *some* cable out to it, I decided to just go with ethernet and use PoE). The weather-proofing looks beautiful solid. There's a rubber gasket around the memory card slot and the ethernet connector is weatherized. The iPhone application is OK... not great, but OK. It lets me watch live from anywhere in the world, review past video captures, view cameras 4-up at a time. The layout and icons aren't all that intuitive, but I only use the application about once every couple of months. If I used it more often, perhaps I would search it more fluid to use. I think I'm about to order another one of these as well as one of their pan-tilt dome ones.

I purchased the 16GB Cam after looking at a lot of various cameras. The setup was a bit rubbish, followed the instructions and nothing worked. Had the phone next to the camera and the settings didnt push over. The application then made a QR code and said point it at the Camera and the lights will flash. There are no lights no nothing. At this point I realized that these Cameras were used and re-packaged. The memory cards included had data on them, one power supply plug did not work and the POE weather cap was the wrong type and color for one unit. After sorting this all out I then realized that the Cameras were not taking my 5GHZ network and I switched ti my 2.4GHZ network. Now the cameras were configuring correctly. I replaced the 16GB micro cards with some 32 ones but the cameras did not see them. I formatted them Fat32 and the place them back in but the cameras still did not see them. Discovered that if you create any changes to the SD card you have to completely close the application from your phone and relaunch. On to the Camera itself, the application defaults to primary so you need to change the quality to standard or Hi-Def. The Colors are vivid and Pop beautifully, you can see amazingly with the High Def. The night vision for me worked better with the IR off only because of Road lamps and neighbors spot lights. With that said every so often I begin the application and obtain Device Offline for no rhyme or reason and it is very frustrating. Some times its just one sometimes its both. Currently I have yet to mount the cameras so its simple to unplug them, but once mounted this will be very annoying. I check my connected devices to my router and the router still shows them as connected but the application and www service shows them as offline. Rebooting my router also seemed to obtain them working, fix this problem in a firmware and you would obtain 5 stars from me.I also am looking to expand the system to 4 cameras and getting the local storage device to bypass the cloud storage. As I stated so far its ok I havent played with notifications as of yet. I also would like to adjust the amount of recording is done as sometimes there is movement and 30 seconds of recording other times there is 5 minutes.

The EZVIZ Huksy HD 1080p camera is nearly useless as a security camera. You will only obtain at most a few mins of video feed time if you are using Amazon Echo Show. The Echo skill is designed to only let limited time of camera viewing before it cuts out. The same issue occurs when you use the iPhone/iPad EZVIZ app. There is a viewing mode buried within settings that will let you to do continuous viewing but... it only allows you to view one camera at a time, so you are out of luck if you wish multiple cameras to do continuous video surveillance of various parts of your house. I asked EZVIZ technical help if they sold DVRs that could be used to accept a continuous video feed, and they said yes -- but those DVR's come with their own cameras and apparently don't work with this one. So in the end, if you only wish one camera to look at one part of the house and you have an additional iPad you can devote to continuous viewing of that part of the house, then maybe you will search this camera useful. Otherwise, I strongly recommend that you steer clear of this model and all other models like this one unless a practical, multi-channel, continuous video feed solution is available.

Amazon, LLC keeps sending me camera packages that have already been opened. They refuse to send me a replacement after receiving two cameras that have already been does have RTSP for linking with Location Minder or Blue Iris software for your own NVR. Don't believe what EZVIZ says about how the camera does local recording to their EZVIZ Vault Local Wi-Fi Cloud Storage unit - they no longer manufacturer the unit. Camera does cloud recording for a subscription fee that increments with the number of cameras. For free you can only keep alerts when the camera spots something according to your alert settings and live view from their short, this is a less expensive alternative of Nest cameras without some of the more interesting Nest features. If you wish shop video clips locally and do not wish to deal with configuring your own NVR through something like Location Minder or Blue Iris do buy this product.

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG16 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 16GB review []  2020-1-21 18:10

A comparison between the two cameras can begin with the general appearance. The husky does look more appealing than the zmodo bullet cam to me. As seen in the pics I really appreciate the ezviz placement of the power/ethernet cable. It is hidden by the mount which also has a gasket in it. This offers a much cleaner look on the outside of your building.PoE is offered by each cam BUT the huge difference being ezviz supports STANDARD PoE, zmodo ONLY works with their OWN DVR. So if you have a PoE switch at home the ezviz works amazing and I tested successfully - zmodo, not at all.I had no problem at all adding the device to WLAN and have yet to see it drop off or go offline as others have described. I do use mesh at home rather than a single WAP. Wireless connection problems most likely are due to outdated, single WAP deployments servicing 50 intelligent home e IR capabilities seem better on the ezviz than zmodo but each server the purpose and function h management apps have their pros and cons. I do want the ezviz application allowed for swiping through happening notifications rather than returning to the list each time. Setting schedules on each is no problem, notifications (false and positive) are comparable with each even with sensitivity adjusted low. I have also used Ezviz Studio on a PC which works fine from remote ither allows you to take advantage of your synology NAS for data dumps. Zmodo used to but a 'firmware upgrade' suddenly took that away as they push their cloud storage as this is the second ezviz cam I have tested getting it to work with a Spot was easier. Chose a name, alexa - explore devices ...... Present backyard camera and a small bit later there it is. Just like with the other ezviz the feed is 6 to 10 seconds behind but amazing enough to confirm if anything is there.I like the cam and would/have recommended it. Be aware of your WLAN implementation, bandwidth constraints and give it a try.

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG16 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 16GB review []  2020-1-21 18:10

UPDATE 4/24/18 (1 Star)The Camera failed after I wrote this review due to an problem with the outdoor weather seal. Water created it's method into the camera which shorted out it and the TPLink PoE Injector I had connected to the device. I had to also replace the entire run of Cat5 cable to the camera. Thankfully the 128GB SANdisk SD card survived but because of the method EZVIZ encodes their video (even with encryption disabled) none of the video could be salvaged from the e RMA process will cost you out of pocket to ship the camera back to EZVIZ and they will ship you another camera in about a week.Original Post (2 Stars)I purchased this product to compliment the 3 Ring devices I have and also to try out a fresh vendor. This was purchased over Cyber Monday '17 but I did not have a possibility to install it until Jan '18. The first thing that was appealing about this camera was that it stored data on an SD card that could be upgraded to 128GB. I did purchase a SANdisk SD card to go with this device. I tested out the Wireless connection connectivity for the camera and found it to be really responsive but where I was mounting the camera on the exterior of my home there was no outlet so I went out and purchased a 3rd party PoE injector and ran a Cat5 cable from my router to the camera zone on the tup via the mobile application was a breeze and I thought I was ready to capture video of the exterior of my home in the happening there was something wrong.Flash forward to latest week when there was an happening that I required to export. I had installed the EZViz Studio app (ver 1.1.3) on my Windows 10 PC and the recent ver of the EZViz app on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. The first thing I did was attempt to use the EZViz studio app to export the video I wanted by pressing the record button while viewing the video from the app. I allow the video play but it stopped to load halfway through the time I wanted to capture which stopped the recording process. I attempted to reset the recording after the loading process from the application, possibly the camera was loading the next video clip since it appears that the camera segments files on the SD card which are called about every min or so, so seamless playback between segments and the ability to record between these segments is not I attempted to view the files via Windows Media player but the player could not recognize the file format of the exported/recorded files. The files were exported as .mp4 files but they were unable to be played back. I thought the file was corrupted so I attempted to do the same export procedure from the EZviz App on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. It made a file locally on the phone but did not append a file extension of .mp4 to the file. When I attempted to play the file on my device the Samsung phone stated the file was in an unrecognized format. So there are problems with exporting files from the camera to devices. This is a serious limitation because if I need to export the video and provide it to authorities I cannot do that in a usable I attempted to use the EZViz Studio App on my Windows 10 PC to play back the files since the video playback on the camera works there. Unfortunately the EZViz Studio App does not help playing locally stored video, it only plays back video stored on the SD card on the camera.I opened a help case with EZViz via e-mail explaining the above. EZViz help suggested I download VLC Player to play the videos. I did this and the video appeared to play but the video was choppy and was not smooth, it was like the video export had missed several frames and the sharpness of the original video in the EZViz Studio was gone. I attempted several various times to record the video from the EZViz studio app to my Windows 10 PC and then play the video with VLC player with the same result. I brought this problem to EZViz support's attention and they stated that the video files are playing what they captured. I then used issue steps recorder and Windows 10 Android game mode and sent them the results of me using the EZViz studio app to present that that was not the case and there appears to be an problem with exporting their video from the camera.I have been going back and forth with their help for over a week now. I asked if there was someway I could specify the plugins or codecs used by EZViz to play back the video in Windows Media player or VLC properly and was told that the way was l playback from the camera has to happen from the EZviz Studio Application or the Mobile Application which severely limits the functionality of this camera. If you wish to obtain video off of the camera you must use a 3rd party capture way of the App output because it is not possible to export the video from the camera in a usable format currently.

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG16 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 16GB review []  2020-1-21 18:10

So I have two of these things and they worked amazing initially but then something went horribly wrong after about a month. First, the integration with Alexa requires that you turn off the encrypted feed so create sure they don't point anywhere personal if you wish that. Then, right after the free trial ended, the camera's started going offline every night at the exact same time. I've been working with their tech help ever since and they can't search anything on either end that is causing it. That is of course when their tech help actually responds. I haven't heard from them in a couple weeks now and they won't return my emails anymore. The fact that they were both purchased and installed a week apart, and yet both stopped working at the same time, tells me that there is something screwy in the software. The only solution right now is to reboot them every morning which doesn't support when they don't work from 1:04 am until reboot. Go buy an Arlo or a Foscam if you wish something that works.

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-24 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-24 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-25 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-25 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-26 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-27 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-27 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-29 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-29 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2019-12-31 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2020-1-1 18:3

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2020-1-1 18:3

I hope EZVIZ comes out with improvements for their application that allows the user to adjust what increment that wish to adjust videos by (seconds, minutes, etc...)

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2020-1-4 18:11

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2020-1-4 18:11

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2020-1-4 18:11

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2020-1-4 18:11

    EZVIZ EZHUSKYG32 Husky 1080p Outdoor Bullet Camera with 32GB review []  2020-1-4 18:11
