Sweet, fun, funny, emotional - this story has it all! I loved both Music & Carson - their personalities meshed perfectly. And the supporting cast was lots of fun, too. The love, romance, steam, BASEBALL... all of it created for a fun read. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series!!: )

This is my first opportunity to read a piece by this author and her work didn't disappoint. The overall story is super sweet with a large twist you will not see coming at all. It makes the HEA that much more sweet as you root for these characters to the end. The story is concise and well written. It pulls you into the story quickly and becomes a quick read. I definitely recommend adding this to your reading list.

I love this book!! The characters are so true and loveable I can't wait to read this book again and again! Carson and Music were destined to meet. She is the largest fan girl there is when it comes to the Baltimore Blue Birds and he is the Rookie trying his best in a android game he loves. But one foul ball sets them on the journey of their lives when they fall in love. Whether you love baseball or not you will love this book!

Carson Lawrence has finally created it to the show. Playing for the Baltimore Blue Birds. Opening night and he is excited until he hits a foul ball right into the [email protected]#$%!&ing a girl in the head and knocking her lody Carrick has been coming to watch the Blue Birds play since she was a small girl with her parents. But opening day 10 years before her parents were killed coming home from the lody was taken to the hospital and Carson finished the game. He then went to the hospital to check on the girl. Despite having two black eyes and a knot on her head he was very attracted to lody and Carson’s story is filled with twists and turns and I couldn’t place it down! This is the first story I have read by Trish Williford, but it won’t be the last!

So satisfied I purchased. I just finished reading for the second time. It is a amazing story with some steamy portions and humor. You will have fun experiencing Music and Carson fall in love. I also enjoyed the friendships throughout the book. Lexi is crazy, Uncle Clay is hilarious, Grady is so sweet. I can't wait for Sammie and Ryan's story. I hope Lexi and Adam obtain a story too.

Neither amazing nor bad. Thru most of it I was trying to figure out what was bugging me, then finally figured out that the writing was too immature. (A amazing indicator of which, for example, is starting a lot of sentences with I.) I didn’t think to check if it was. YA story, but that would explain the e rest was eh. Unfortunately it was one of those stories that didn’t really have a table of contents, so it was more than annoying that I couldn’t easily skim the begin of each chapter to see if they were worth reading. They weren’t.

A foul ball hitting her in the face leads to baseball fan Music meeting fresh rookie player Carson in hospital. They become quick mates and more in this very enjoyable on is not the standard baseball star who sleeps around. He is aware he needs to grab his chances in the majors but is also falling for Melody. Refreshing read. I liked both characters and the storyline. Carson has such a lovely mom! And I would love to visit the island Captiva e story grabbed my attention and never lagged. A fresh author for my watchlist.

    Falling for the Highlander []  2020-2-1 8:42

I like heroines to be intelligent and able to deductively reason the whys and wherefores of their lives. Lynsay Sands recent offering Falling for the Highlander has a heroine who lacks this ability. Sometimes innocence and trustworthiness can be charming but in this instance, the heroine is a bit too stubborn and it takes her a long time to come to some rather obvious dy Murine Carmichael has resigned herself to spinsterhood thanks to her grasping greedy brother who has used her dowry to pay off gambling debts. She is alone in the world, save for her half brother and a cousin who has taken over her father’s ugall Buchanan is a Scot who is looking to sell some of his horses to Lady Murine’s brother. When it becomes apparent that Murine’s brother has no cash to pay for the horses, he offers Murine as payment. Dougall is appalled and vehemently says no but Murine’s brother is willing to trade her to others for money. This causes Murine to run away, hopefully to one of her friend’s homes, though they are far away. She takes her pet cow and rides him, running into Dougall and his brothers. When they hear of her plight, they decide to support her, especially because she is mates with their sister and had saved her life. (There must be a prequel to his book)Dougall instantly is attracted to Murine and so are his brothers. They are all just a bit gaga over the attractive Murine, who seems unaware of the men’s feelings. Murine is a fainter. She can practically faint on cue. This is how a lot of of the chapters end with Murine fainting when she is overwhelmed or anxious. Dougall always seems to be there to catch the her. Murine it seems needs some herbs and some meal to hold her from fainting, she eats like a rine can be trying and not because she faints. She is impetuous and she is in a word oblivious. Dougall thought she was intelligent and brave. I did not understand how he came to such a conclusion of her intelligence because Murine is entirely trusting to the point that she does not piece together clues to her own not good situation within her family. It takes others to convince her and even then she argues with Dougall’s sound judgement. Although Dougall has his moments too like not understanding that that medicine he gives Murine might just be making her sleep for days.A amazing portion of this book is Dougall trying to control his lustful feelings for Murine and failing and Murine being awakened to hers. The couple does have heat and chemistry to be sure. In fact, the reader will not doubt that they are attracted to each other. The other conflict is getting Murine away from her ere are some sweet moments in this story, like Murine’s pet cow and her friendship with Dougall’s siblings. And as far as a couple, the leads are passionate. What is so surprising is that the heroine lacks the ability to connect the dots in so a lot of locations that she comes across as flighty and it takes a man to figure out her cirtances rather than her own reasoning skills.

They meet when the Scott comes to England to sell him horses. The Englishman lord doesn't have the cash to pay but offers his lady sister as payment, which maddens the Scott so much he refuses, naturally, and leaves. She is so furious with her brother she sneaks out of the castle that night and heads toward Scotland as she is actually Scottish and daughter of a laird. Their ensuing journeys soon meet and the tale gets very interesting from there. You won't be able to place it down. Enjoy!

I couldn't give this a five star like I wanted because it ended so abruptly! Would have liked to have seen her go back to her clan..

My kid is a fairly advanced figure skater. He loves this book. He usually only reads about guns, spies, military battles, carpentry, leather work. I read it too. For me and knowing the geo political history of the 60's and 70's I was very impressed. Mr. Visconti qualifies as a hero.

Gary is determined to succeed regardless of the a lot of trials that he encounters in his journey to adulthood. His determination has created him the person he is today. This is a must read for anyone who wishes to overcome "falls" in their life struggle to become an independent worthwhile member of society.

I have read several of Lynsay 's books but this is the first time I've given a review. While I have a number of favorite authors ; I hold returning to Lynsay 's books time and again , because not only are the characters well developed, and the love scenes scorchingly hot, this woman has got a unbelievable sense of humor! There's nothing like a y Highlander in a kilt to create my heart go all a-flutter (unless he would be out of the kilt, well then , my heart would be pounding; and not to mention what it would do with a y vampire!) Lynsay Sands is the respond to life's daily stresses; just take one of her books (any of them) , but please don't call me in the morning, I'll be too busy reading another book!

We have previously met both of these characters and I really enjoyed meeting them in the previous books so was really glad that they got their own story. This was just quite a story and I just didn’t know what was going to happen next. I have just absolutely loved this series it just keeps getting better and better and is full of unbelievable characters that I hope obtain their own story. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I really enjoyed this book, but I will be honest - it has been so long between books in this series, that I honestly don't remember reading about Murine in the previous rine has been living with her half-brother in England since her father died the previous year. She is not satisfied in his home and feels isolated - she has not heard from her mates since she moved and is beginning to wonder if they are getting her messages. When she learns that a group of Scotsmen are coming to see her brother, she wonders if she can convince one of them to carry her notice to ugall has come to England to sell horses to Murine's brother. When her brother cannot produce the coin to pay, he offers Dougall his sister in exchange - not to marry, just to "use" until he feels the debt is repaid. Dougall is outraged and disgusted by the offer and refuses. When her brother suggests that they wait a day because he is sure his neighbor would pay to use his sister - Dougall makes it clear that even if Montrose got the money, Dougall would never sell his horses to him. He and his brothers immediately leave the castle and travel to the rine is humiliated and appalled by her brother's offer and knows that he will sell her - she decides that she must leave and travel to Saidh's home and hope that she can support her. When she meets up with Dougall and his brothers on the street - they are surprised to learn that she is their sister Saidh's mate - the very mate that saved her life! They agree to take her to Saidh and protect her from her brother. Before they can begin out - men from her brother's castle come looking for her and Dougall orders his brothers to hide her. While hiding, Murine faints, Dougall takes her up on his horse and holds her so tightly, that each time she comes to, she faints again from lack of air. When they finally stop to rest the horses - it is amusing to see Dougall and his brothers doting on e trip to Scotland is plagued with "accidents" which Dougall believes are caused by Murine's tendency to faint - even when she insists that she did not faint. Dougall and his brother's agree that Murine must be saved from her brother and think that she should marry as soon as possible. Several of the brothers offer, and even though he is not in the shop for a wife - Dougall doesn't wish anyone but him to marry her. There is a bit of a misunderstanding between Murine and Dougall after they ey realize that they are being followed just before they reach their home and Murine is injured - Once they arrive in the gates - Dougall announces that he is going to marry Murine. But first she must be tended. While Murine is recovering - Dougall and his brothers learn that Murine's brother is nearby and looking for her - Dougall takes Murine into hiding and their relationship begins to appears that these two will obtain their HEA, but first they will have to solve the mystery of who is trying to slay them and is was a amazing book, it is well written and flows nicely, the love scenes were steamy, the mystery was well done and while it was amusing, it was not nearly as funny as previous books by Ms. Sands. I especially enjoyed catching up with Saidh and Greer and Dougall's brothers are always entertaining (seriously hope they all obtain a book!) I would be satisfied to recommend this book and am looking forward to the next installment in the series.

Setting: Scotland During the reign of James VI? Not nre: RomanceWhen Lady Murine Carmichael 's half brother decides to sell her virginity in exchange for either the horses he wants or the coin to buy them, she takes off. When Dougall Buchanan and his brothers meet her on the street they impulsively decide to hide her from her brother's men. When they address her as "Lady Danvries" (her brother's name) she corrected them, at which point they figured out that she was their sister's mate who had played an necessary part in her (the sister's) story. So this book revolves around her escape from her brother's men and the mystery of what is going on in his household. Murine and Dougall are attracted, as will happen in love stories, and happenings happen nds is a very experienced author. She has grammar, usage, and pacing down pat. The dialogue and situations are engaging. I love the humor she weaves through what could be a serious story. I generally don't read her historical romances, mostly because I can't put these books in an era of time, and that just bugs the sh*t out of me. A king is mentioned, but Scottish or English? I'm leaning toward James VI of Scotland/James II of England given history, but I'm not sure.I got it in both Kindle and audio for the Whispersync. The narrator does an amazingly unbelievable job. I first heard Elle Newland performing Samantha Young's books, and she place just as much talented energy into this,

Murine was introduced in a previous story and has a penchant for fainting. The story does a amazing job of making these faints almost comical and I liked how her traveling partners kept at her to eat more. Even Dougall, finds her too skinny and wants more meat on her bones. Yeah!!!!! The storyline slowed a tad when trying to search a safe haven for Murine from the evil clutches of her brother. Or is it someone else? Dougall's simply plan turned into HEA.

    Falling For The Win []  2020-1-20 19:11

"Falling for the Win" is the adventure of traveling through the figure skating globe of the 1960's and beyond to the busy life of a public figure and skating coach for the a lot of years that followed. It's also the positive globe view of Gary Visconti's where falling is part of the process of learning the most difficult things. Falling is part of the experimenting process that leads to success. When you become afraid to fall you become afraid to learn. Gary was never afraid to fall and knew that the rewards that came at the end of the process were rich, indeed. The reader follows Gary from a chilly ice rink in Detroit in the late 1950's to being an American and Olympic winner to serving on the Presidents' Council on Physical Fitness. With his, never give up, attitude he is a model for any person in any endeavor. Sharing his adventure is well worth the read.

    Falling for the Highlander []  2020-2-1 8:42

The recent in Lynsay Sands' historic Highlander series follows Murine Carmichael, who readers familiar with the series will remember as the woman who was fainting all the time in previous books. Readers less familiar with Sands' work will wonder if it is possible to turn a woman known for fainting into a heroine powerful enough to match one of Sands' fiery Highland heroes. Fear not- it can be done!Heroine Murine Carmichael may have had more than her share of poor luck over the latest few years (both parents dead, several siblings dead, getting stuck with a reprehensible English half-brother as a guardian, her father thinking she was too weak to lead her guild and leaving it to a cousin she's never met . . .) but she has finally reached the end of her patience. Her half-brother and guardian has not only gambled away her dowry, he is now trying to barter her off in exchange for some horses. When horse-breeder Dougall Buchanan refuses to accept the deal, brother Danvries starts thinking about who else he could loan Murine out to in order to obtain enough coin to pay for the horses. Murine isn't stupid and knows even after Dougall refuses to do business with him, Danvries isn't going to allow this fresh money-making idea go. She takes the only option she can and runs away. Her plan is to obtain to her mates Saidh and Joan, but she quickly lands an unlikely escort- Dougall Buchanan and his brothers! The Buchanan brothers are gentlemanly enough to offer to support Murine obtain to safety, but aren't sure how to handle a weak woman on a journey. When they realize Murine is their sister Saidh's best mate (and the woman who saved Saidh from being murdered), they have a hard time reconciling Murine's various facets. Brave, strong, and weak? As they obtain to know her they realize the fainting fits are more a lack of meal than anything else and that Murine is as brave and powerful as any Highland warrior. Dougall is attracted to her from the beginning and soon the idea of marrying her to protect her from Danvries seems like the excellent solution. But mysterious accidents, disappearances, and attempted murder soon have them realizing that nothing is as easy as they thought!Murine is the type of heroine that I like best- someone who doesn't believe she is brave or powerful but is obviously that to those around her. The more time she spends seeing herself through the Buchanan's eyes instead of her half-brother's the more she comes to believe in herself. She acts when there is problem and doesn't depend on others to save her. These very things appeal to Dougall while at the same time drive him crazy- how can he fall in love with a woman so prone to problem and so determined to support herself instead of letting him do the rescuing? It takes the not good man a small while to figure out his emotions and for Murine to believe he's genuine, but in classic Lynsay Sands style, after the mayhem settles, our heroes are confident in both themselves and each other's love.Falling for the Highlander is everything long-time Lynsay Sands readers expect: full of humor, mayhem, disasters, sweet romance, and sizzling chemistry. Those fresh to Sands' books will wish to read more (each book in this series is stand-alone and they don't need to be read in order, but characters cameo in them all and if you have fun one you'll certainly have fun them all). If asked to choose a favorite stage I'd be torn between a highly memorable waterfall stage and Murine rescuing the Buchanan brothers from a burning building. The younger Buchanans are amazing and scenes where we obtain to see all the brothers interacting are lots of fun! While the mystery behind who is trying to slay Murine seems beautiful obvious- brother Danvries seems beautiful tailor created for the role of poor guy- I enjoyed how the Buchanans, Sinclairs, and others pieced together their suspicions and helped Murine to realize that she had a lot of people in her corner. Four armies by the end of the book! Long-time Sands readers will also hold in the back of their minds that Lynsay likes to throw curve balls to her readers and even a straight-forward mystery is never entirely what it seems!A fast-paced and fun read full of wit, humor, and heart. You'll fall in love with Dougall and cheer Murine on to a guaranteed and well-deserved satisfied ending.

I really wanted to like this book, but honestly, I found it super boring. A lot of internal dialogue and not enough banter between the two main characters. The premise of the book had so much promise, but it just felt extremely rushed. Instead of the long drawn out explanations of how they're feeling, etc. the actual storyline could've been developed more. I've always been a fan of Lynsey Sands, so for that reason I finished the book, but it was a struggle.

A romance writer who doesn't believe in love...what? Well, don't we all fantasize about what we can't have? The premise of this story is so sweet and also so real, it was very simple to obtain lost in Naughty cey is a writer and writing her third book in a series and she is facing serious writer's block. That is until she befriends her smexy neighbor Jake. They have lived next door to one another for awhile, but haven't really talked much, but now that she really needs to buckle down and concentrate, Jake is a distraction that actually becomes her r anyone who has read this writing duo, you might recognize the book that Lacey is working on. This is definitely an art imitating life imitating art kind of book. What made Naughty Neighbor even more enjoyable is that this just so happened to be my favorite book that they had penned together so far. I won't allow the cat out of the bag because you need to experience every moment yourself, but it is really awesome imagining each step in that book while reading this one.Another aspect I really enjoyed was all the behind the scenes into Lacey's author life. The feeling of connecting to fans, attending signings, the idea of inspiring couples who are currently in relationships or perhaps giving a single gal that push to jump back into the dating pool and test something new. Seriously writers deserve more credit for not only their writing skills, but for all of their hard work behind the scenes and this book absolutely shines in those highlights.Even though Lacey spends her days spouting tales of love, her own life hasn't had amazing heros to her heroine. So when Jake begins to obtain serious, Lacey doesn't take the news well and she basically freaks. How do you trust someone when you've never learned how to love?  Should she take a page from her own book and dive in head first or is her own fairytale doomed before it begins? All the inspiration and muse like scenes are total yumminess. This Libra inspired tale is sweetly romantic.

Naughty Neighbor: Falling for a Libra (Falling for the Stars) []  2020-9-24 19:12

Naughty Neighbor is so sweet! This may be my favorite collab from these authors mance writer Lacey has writer’s block, and finds her muse in her hunky next door neighbor, Jake. I have read this trope before, but what I liked about Naughty Neighbor is that Jake knows that Lacey is using him for inspiration. She’s been burned in the past and has some abandonment issues, so Lacey thinks that love isn’t in the cares for her. But Jake is sweet and y, makes her feel desirable and come out of her when The Conflict comes, it’s not because Jake feels betrayed that she used their relationship for her book, but that he’s fallen head over heels for her... and she can’t allow herself or won’t allow herself feel the same in return. Will Lacey realize just how various Jake is before it is too late? This story was so fun. I loved these two, and all of their cute dates. Starting as friends, slowly becoming more... it was all unbelievable to read.I want there had been more than just the one chapter from Jake’s POV because I really loved getting inside his head during the breakup, and I would have loved to have gotten to see more of his side as he was falling for e method Lacey’s book comes into play in their makeup, and then her previous books in that epilogue, was brilliant! I will definitely hold this on my reread list! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Naughty Neighbor: Falling for a Libra (Falling for the Stars) []  2020-9-24 19:12

“I’m falling for a girl who doesn’t believe in love.”Writer's block, loud music, and out of this globe chemistry create perfect bedfellows. Such a funny, sensual, sweet, liberating, and lusciously romantic love story. “A man who can talk stars and flowers” and the guarded woman who captivates him.“Art imitates life imitates art” in an opposites attract romance between an artistic florist and an Indie romance novelist who doesn’t believe in love. Can a woman like that who writes novels about love actually fall in love? Theirs was a beautiful, wondrous, and heartfelt love journey that gave me all the feels, angst, and excitement for the possibilities. What a marvelously brilliant concept by Colette-Runow in crafting a skeptical romance writer finding love herself with the excellent man proving to her that it actually exists. Dayum, if that isn’t poetic justice. Heroine Lacey’s goal is to make literary magic in her love stories, but this author duo has achieved it right out of the gate with the lst standalone of 12 Signs of the Zodiac romances. First batter up? tie next-door neighbor Jake Moreau (30) is a charismatic florist with the soul of a romantic Renaissance Man and the apparent libido of a narcissistic rake from the revolving door of women at his apartment. Actually he’s having fun while waiting for “the one” and pigeonholes Lacey as super hot, but not his type underneath those wine-stained sweatshirts and messy buns. Each sticks to their own side of shared apartment wall and nothing more than friendly hellos. Misjudgment? So be it. It may have remained that method except for two monumental things that make an icebreaker confrontation and all those assumptions fly out the window.Jake. Everything he did blew me away. He was all that and much more. And don’t forget the laughs. Mates to lovers and opposites-attract really obtain a workout. Their story was so delish, like he’s in on the secret that she doesn’t know yet. This beguiling man who believes in love and has an respond for everything. Jake totally swept me off my feet with all kinds of wow that had the power to scramble a girl’s wits. Jake was beyond perfection, and I kept swooning over him until my swoon meter finally broke from overuse.“You deserve to be romanced. I wish to present you what a true man can be. I’m preparing you. To be totally and tragically enraptured by me.”Theirs was a beautiful, wondrous, and heart-palpitating love journey that gave me all the feels, angst, excitement and possibilities from Jake’s wooing. The side characters were great, the dialogue first-rate, the foreplay and was on the same celestial plane as the Zodiac and stars. This romance will touch your heart and create you root and holler for the power and truth of love.“I didn’t choose to love you. This love chose me. I choose you for eternity.”

Naughty Neighbor: Falling for a Libra (Falling for the Stars) []  2020-9-24 19:12

Naughty Neighbor: Falling for a Libra (Falling for a Star) by Jeannine Collette and Lauren Runow is a fabulous story about a romance writer who has writers block. When she goes over to her y as sin neighbor to ask him to turn his melody down, something happens that gives her inspiration. As she spends more time with him, the more words she is able to write. Lacey has decided to use her interaction with Jake. He will be her muse. What started out as mates and neighbors turns into so much more. Initially I thought I was going to read a rehash of another neighbor book but this book was so much more. Of course Jake was not only amazing looking with a assassin body but a real sensitive and caring individual.  He didn't mind being her muse.  I gobbled up this story up.  I couldn't place it down. Lacey definitely had her share of problems which kept herself from accepting Jake's affection. It was like each was on a journey of self discovery. I laughed quite a bit while reading this story. I was falling in love with Jake. He was a real romantic and surely knows how to wine and dine a sister.  I couldn't obtain enough of him. I especially enjoyed the realist method the author discussed the book signing world. Place a smile on my face. Dont wish to give away to much. Well worth the read. I have read other books by these two and once again I was not disappointed.  5 delicious stars for me.

NAUGHTY NEIGHBOR is written by the dynamic duel of Jeannine Colette and Lauren Runow. I have been following both talented ladies since their first books. Now I obtain to have fun their combined writing efforts in one book. This starts as a slow-burn romance, but once Lacey & Jake have that first hot kiss, the pages “figuratively” seem set on cey Rivers is a 28-year-old, successful indie romance novelist. She seems to follow after her mother who has not been lucky in love. So mother & daughter do not believe in love. Lacey lives vicariously through her books, and loves her y male fictional heroes. But now, she is suffering from an author's worst nightmare. Writer's block! Her inability to write drives her frustration to blame the loud melody coming from her neighbor's apartment next door. Her very hot, very naughty neighbor, Jake Moreau. As she knocks loudly on his door, she is reminded of the first time she knocked on the same door. He had answered in nothing but a sea-foam green bath-towel. This time he is properly dressed, but his affect on her is just as powerful. He suddenly becomes her muse! Thanks to him for breaking her writer's block.Jake has it all and is every woman's type. He is a florist at Moreau Flowers, fourth generation. He's also a stargazer, and quite knowledgeable about the planets and stars. His sign is a Libra. Plus he says, “A true man has patience when it comes to women. Not just the ones he wants to bed. He listens. That is what makes a sensual lover.” A man who can talk stars and flowers is definitely character material. Also he has given Lacey the best kiss of her life. He is her muse, and she is living the fantasy of being her own heroine. Jake is solid in his belief of Lacey being the right one for him, but he is falling for a girl who doesn't believe in love. As I was reading her doubts, I thought she was out of her mind! “I choose you. I wish a life with you. I wish you by my side. I wish to live this life with you. War with you. Create love to you. Make life with you.” Jake Moreau is just so swoon worthy! I highly recommend you read this entertaining book and search out if Jake & Lacey search a love to latest a lifetime.

If my life could ever be a romance book I’d wish it to be this one ❤️Naughty Neighbor is such a fun, enticing, completely swoon worthy read. Jake and Laceys story is one that deserves its own constellation! My favorite parts in this book are the moments with Jakes character. He’s incredibly charming, so charismatic, a florist which you NEVER read about and it completely fits him! he’s literally the most adorable guy I’ve ever read 🥰 he’s the man you want would present up at your door! What Jeannine and Lauren do so well in this book is give the characters so much heart while keeping it authentic, you could feel the romance oozing from the pages while giving them true life issues that only a love burned person like Lacey could face. It just adds to the ending and makes it all the more compelling to obtain to the happily ever ughty Neighbor is absolutely five stars and is probably the most poetic romance book I’ve ever read 💫 it’s a story written for the stars and is a must read for all the hopeless romantics of the world

Naughty Neighbor: Falling for a Libra (Falling for the Stars) []  2020-9-24 19:12

I really enjoyed Naughty Neighbor by Jeannine Colette and Lauren Runow. The story is about a romance novel author named Lacey, who lives in Chicago. Lacey has always been allow down by the men in her life. Her father left her mother before she was born and she barely hears from him. Her high school boyfriend broke up with her the day after she gave him her virginity, and her latest ex-boyfriend, who didn't approve of her dream of becoming a romance author, left her for another woman. Because of her past experiences with men, Lacey doesn't believe in love, which is rather ironic for a woman who writes about romance. Lacey stays at home almost every day, and is usually dressed in dirty sweats while she is working on her next book.Jake is Lacey's next door neighbor and he is a florist for his family's company that was founded by his grandfather. The first time that he met Lacey he was standing at his door dressed only in a seafoam green towel, and he was saying goodbye to a young woman who had obviously spent the night with him. Jake is a social butterfly, likes to dress in expensive clothes, and enjoys having one night stands with beautiful young women, while he searches for a woman who is attractive, is not afraid to speak her mind, and is confident, who he can fall in love with, obtain married, and together they can create a is novel is about what happens after Lacey knocks on Jake's door, on a Friday night when he is having a party. Lacey is trying to work on her newest romance novel but is unable to concentrate due to the loud melody playing in Jake's apartment. Lacey has gone to Jake's apartment to ask him to turn his melody down so that she can concentrate on writing her is book is a delightful, contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The characters are extremely interesting, with amazing backstories, and the story is fresh, exciting, and at times had me laughing out loud and at other times making me cry. This is the first novel that I've read by this pair of authors, and I liked it so much that I had a difficult time putting the book down. I can't wait to read some more of their books because this book is one of most enjoyable books that I have ever read!

Naughty Neighbor: Falling For A Libra is written seamlessly by 2 authors. A truly amazing book if you are looking for a funny and romantic book to read! I was up until 1 am finishing it because I couldn’t stop reading cey is a romance writer and she was having writer's block. Her very amazing looking neighbor, Jake was having a party and she knocked on his door to ask him to turn the melody down. That was the best thing she could have done. Because that drew his attention to G I am so in love with Jake! Lacey required a man like Jake. She writes about men like Jake for a living but she hasn’t ever had that kind of love before. I mean Jake climbed a fire escape just so Lacey could experience her “Pretty Woman” moment!Quote: "He stops his kisses and looks down at me. “Lace, I didn’t do that to obtain you in bed. I climbed up here to present you that you're worth more than three poor Memories. You deserve to be romanced. I wish to present you what a true man can be.”There were times I wanted to smack Lacey upside the head. I was so frustrated with her. Jake was the best thing for her! And my heart was breaking for Jake.I loved reading Naughty Neighbor and as you can see I became thoroughly involved with this book by staying up well past my bedtime and wanting to commit violence on a book character! Like I said earlier if you wish a funny and romantic book then this is a must read! Every girl needs a book boyfriend like Jake! I can't wait to read more from these two authors! A dynamic duo for sure!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!!When you fall for the character within the first few pages, and you can’t stop swooning, and you never wish to place the book down...that is talented writing. And I so love when that happens!Within the first two chapters, I was absolutely SMITTEN. I was hypnotized by his charm. I wanted and required more Jake.Just when I didn’t think he could obtain any more y and adorable and lovable, he went and said or did something to create me fall even harder. With each turn of the page he got better and cey is a romance author who lives in the apartment next to Jake. They’ve been civil to each other over the latest couple of years, making eye contact, exchanging hellos...even a face to face at his door, with him half naked. That sea foam green towel...One night she had to knock on his door and ask him to turn down the melody so she could concentrate on writing. This was just the beginning to their fun, entertaining, passionate, and heart-warming relationship.I adored Lacey, in all her stained, oversized sweatshirt glory. She was a small adorkable, super witty, and wasn’t afraid to say what was on her mind. I wanted to be her cey & Jake’s chemistry was like a sparkler...it’s lit,it’s sizzling, and it’s ready to burn brighter. With each each date, their friendship grew, their bond got stronger, and their willpower e banter in this story created me e kisses were e passion place hearts in my eyes.I love the method Jake was so sure and confident...about everything. He was a small bit arrogant, but he created it cute. I love how he loved his family. I love how he created everyone smile. He was kind, he was understanding, he was compassionate. He was a attractive man, inside and out. Have I mentioned I love Jake?Their dates were so special and romantic and fun and Y. I’ve never wanted to paint someone as badly as I did after reading a certain scene. It was ing their relationship go from neighbors to mates to lovers was super fun and enjoyable and I loved every word. I highly recommend this!!P.S. I loved the titles to Lacey’s books, (The Racer, The Suit, The Artist), how they alluded to a certain favorite series of mine, (The ton Brothers) from a certain favorite writing duo of mine.

Seriously though....JAKE MORREAU!!!!! First in a fresh series by this unbelievable duo and I’m so here for this🙌🏽!!! So much swooning in this story! Opposites attract, Lacey, the writer/introvert who doesn’t believe in love and Jake, the satisfied go lucky, life of the party kinda guy who works at his family’s flower and loves the idea of romance, just waiting for the right e is having the poor case of writers block but one night, her neighbor is just putting a damper into her concentration. The moment we meet Jake, I was all in! He is also her muse and her writing is flowing being around him. He’s a florist, full of life, just simple going and loves love. He was the excellent guy to begin up her eyes to everything. She doesn’t have the largest trust in men and longevity of love but Jake makes her question everything. I loved the special dates they went on, so romantic! His family was so welcoming and so amazing. I love a fun, sweet, swooning character and it’s totally Jake Morreau!!!!

Formatted. We begin off 4 years ahead, with a question mark, the the complete book is going back 4 years. It wouldn’t have been quite so poor if this wasn’t a poor cliffhanger. I mean nothing. I read the reviews and the blurb but nothing gave me a tip as to what this was. Sorry I might wait for the latest book to be released to actually read, but I’m not even sure I’ll do that to my self...🤦🏼Disappointed with the. Complete book.

The Art of Falling for You (Falling Trilogy Book 1) []  2021-3-14 18:0

4.5 starsA fresh trilogy from Maya Hughes.Dare and Bay have attended the same school for the past 3 years and are also neighbours. Despite all this they have never noticed each other or had much contact, until one night things change. Dare hears her singing and from that point he becomes y has her problems and secrets, she's also bewildered as to why Dare is now seemingly paying her attention.A tentative friendship begins on their latest year of High School and slowly builds to more. Both have some massive weights on their shoulders, Dare desperately hoping to be picked up for a college football squad and his ticket out of his private hell. Bay still recovering from losing her father, and spending nights at the recording studio, melody being her everything just as it was for her father. Secrets from her mother to avoid causing her damage and hoping to achieve her academic dreams.I have to say that yes i did have fun this story but although it was really well written, I found it a small long winded. It took me quite a while to start to attach to both characters leaving me feeling times something was missing, though I just couldn't pin point it. I didn't really feel an emotional connection between the characters and wasn't sure if I liked them or not.But its a trilogy and I have high hopes the slow burn will turn into an inferno and we will obtain more invested and feel intensity, chemistry and obtain to the passion and heart of the characters

Falling For Him: The Complete Falling Series Collection []  2021-4-6 22:47

Tracy Lorraine is one of my go to authors so I was excited for the Falling For Him Box Set filled with all her writing goodness! As I started reading it, I realized that I had read some of these books before under various titles but I kept going & I saw that I had changed since that time because I saw some of the stories in a various light as I DESPISED a character or two, but it didn't take away from the majority of the stories being awesome.Falling for RyanThis is Molly & Ryan's stories, and there are two books which are both in this set, and I did love their story as they moved from best mates to best friends/lovers.Falling for JaxAbbi is Ryan's sister and this is her & Jax's story which is definitely a bumpy ride.Falling for RubenEmma has lost her other half (twin Hannah) so she's not dealing with things well & she ran to obtain away. It's Ruben who helped her heal but the journey isn't simple whatsoever.Falling for FinThis is the story that I saw in a various light because the reader that I am now DESPISES everything about Fin, who was a selfish self centered &*^%$#@ who didn't deserve Connie. And while I had Connie's back, I seriously wanted to choke her out because she should have moved on from that [email protected](*#&^% Fin.Falling For LucasThis is Lucas & Lilly's story. She basically works for him in a sense, they have a connection, but he's a flight risk while she has some massive baggage. And while I do believe in forgiveness for Lucas, I do think he was forgiven too easily.Falling for CalebTaylor is a player who feels some chemistry with Caleb, but Caleb is looking to settle down while Taylor not so much.Falling for DeclanNicole & Declan have history, and because of that history they hate each other, but I required more as to the why. This is a story I took problem to since both of them were jerks.Falling for LiamLiv has some issues, and she's not about to ask anyone for help. I know some may believe she was stubborn, but I honestly understood her 100%. That being said, Liam wants to support her, and they share serious chemistry so I did love them is Box Set has all of those stories above, and they aren't all short(ish) reads so y'all need to hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I was thinking as I neared the end of the book that the cliffhanger wouldn't be too devastating until Maya went and dropped a bomb on me. I am sitting here shocked and stunned and all I can think about is when can I obtain the next book? I loooooooove Dare and Bay. Their story has lots of tragedy but they search peace with each other. They were like pieces to a puzzle that was finally complete. I don't really know what else I can say except that my mind is still trying to digest all of that and I have so a lot of questions and I NEED answers. Can't wait for more..... dying.

The Art of Falling for You (Falling Trilogy Book 1) []  2021-3-14 18:0

“From the first note, she’d wound herself around a part of my soul. She’d brought me out of the haze and into the light.”Dead…I am dead after finishing this book. When I started this trilogy, I had no idea what to expect. This book was AMAZING!! Maya Hughes carefully constructed a layered and deeply emotional story that left me speechless.“I want you could feel the method your songs create me feel. It’s like you’ve cracked begin my chest and you’re holding my heart in your hands.”Dare begins as such a guarded, mysterious hero but Bay brings out the softer side of him. All he wants is to escape his current cirtances and he will war to create that happen. He carries a lot of anger inside but Bay is able to calm the demons.“Dare had become so intertwined with my soul that walking away would be like leaving a piece of myself behind.”Bay is trying to piece herself back together after her father’s death. She’s an interesting mix of vulnerability and not caring what anyone thinks about her. She feels invisible in her own life and melody is her safe place. Since her loss, she’s been unable to perform, but Dare helps her rediscover her voice.I don’t wish to say too much because I think it’s best to go into the trilogy blind so you can experience the first book fully. The depth of emotion is stunning. Suffice it to say, Bay and Dare are everything. They are the most unlikely duo, but they relate so well to each other. Their pain brings them together and allows them to start healing until that connection is shattered.“I’d been so worried about fixing him, but I should’ve been preparing to fix myself when he shattered me.”That ending ripped out my heart and left it bleeding on the floor. I’m on pins and needles waiting for the next book in the trilogy.

Falling For Him: The Complete Falling Series Collection []  2021-4-6 22:47

Tracey Lorraine’s Falling for Him is a complete box set of her Angel/Falling series with interconnecting characters (siblings/friends) and their stories of trials and tribulations, secrets and betrayals, pain and suffering, but ultimately stories of hope, survival, friendship, and love.Falling for Ryan Parts 1 and 2 (Falling 1 and 2)Falling for Ryan is Molly Carter and Ryan Evans story. This is a slow-burn story of two people who became best mates through tragedy and lly grew up without love and affection from her parents. The lack of affection caused Molly to seek a feeling of completeness and of being wanted through physical contact with men which caused her to obtain involved with sbags who used her. Molly was childhood best mates with twin sisters, Hannah and Emma. As the years past, the three remained close; they were more like sisters. Ryan Evans was Hannah’s boyfriend. Hannah and Molly were especially closed and had plans to begin their own business. When Hannah was tragically killed in an accident, all of their lives began to spiral. While Emma retreated, Molly and Ryan became closer. They were each other’s constant while trying to heal from their tragic loss, but as their friendship continued to grow their feelings began to change and the two found themselves fighting an attraction they couldn’t deny. While I enjoyed Ryan and Molly’s story there were so a lot of instances when I felt irritated with both of them. For two people who had become so close and had dealt with so much, I found that they made unnecessary drama by acting on impulse and childish at times. Ryan, especially, was so fast to jump into conclusions about Molly and I felt that although he didn’t judge her for her past, it was subconsciously in the back of his mind. He would accuse her instead of asking her. There were so a lot of times he created himself look like a fool. Molly was also impulsive at times but I empathize more with her because she was honest with Ryan. While they both felt guilty for their feelings and attraction, I understood Molly’s struggle and pull from Ryan. She grew up with Hannah and I feel the realization of it all was a lot for her, especially because there was still Emma and her parents to consider. Molly didn’t wish to be “that girl” that everyone expected her to l in all, both books were an emotional roller-coaster. Once Molly and Ryan give into their feelings, they start to experience an entirely various level of obstacles and drama. I hated Ryan’s mother (still do). I loved the secondary characters in these books. Molly and her mates were a family born out of friendship, help and love.Falling for Jax (Falling 3)Jax Parker looks like a bad-boy. He is y and covered in tattoos and just the type of guy Abbi Evans typically goes after. Except, Jax may physically look like he is a poor boy, but he is far from it. All this talented artist wants is to commit to “the one” and fall in love. When he and Abbi met they had an instant attraction. While they both harbored secrets, Jax wanted commitment. He wanted Abbi’s commitment, but Abbi was broken. Abbi had secrets that haunted her making it difficult to trust and to begin her heart. Jax is probably my favorite hero out of this entire series. I absolutely adore him.Falling for Ruben (Falling 4)Ruben Morrison and Emma FosterWhile this book is part of the Falling series, it felt as if it was the beginning of a spin-off series introducing fresh characters (with the exception of Emma, of course). After the tragic loss of her sister, Emma felt her life was crashing. She had already struggled with self-confidence and body photo problems and the tragedy of her twin sister’s death, created her more unsure and insecure. Emma also struggled with guilt. In order to begin healing, Emma purchased her dream cottage leaving her hometown behind. There she meets Café owner, Connie and her brother Ruben. Ruben first saw Emma in a photograph and from that moment he was intrigued. I enjoyed Emma’s story. I felt her pain and her struggles so close to my heart. Hers and Ruben’s story was a nice one to see develop. I loved the method Ruben treated Emma.Falling for Finn (Falling 5)I am not sure how I feel about this book. I love Connie, but I was not a fan of Finn in Ruben’s book, and I don’t know that he completely redeemed himself in this book. Connie has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Finn for years. Finn struggled with his feelings for Connie, but when she was 16 he took her virginity. However, nothing came out of that relationship and Connie was left to harbor her feelings for Finn. Finn was a huge jerk at times and while Connie was a strong, independent businesswoman, I feel that she lost her common sense when it came to Finn. There were times that I felt she was not being her real self because she wanted to become the person she thought Finn wanted – she wanted to be the type of woman Finn would mess around with. Even with the secrets that Finn was harboring, I felt that he treated Connie poorly. I understand that he was lashing out and hoping she would move on. I understand he was trying to protect his friendship with Ruben but he said and did some harsh things to her. The story was okay, I just want there was a small more fire from Connie.Falling for Lucas (Falling 6)Lucas Dalton and Lilly Morrison. I’m a sucker for a boss/employee romance and this one didn’t disappoint. Lilly was a college student who started doing housekeeping work at Lucas’s hotels (I think hotels – I’m writing this review after reading all the books and going off the top of my head). When Lucas finds Lilly crying he is intrigued by her then Lilly impulsively kisses him and runs off. This first interaction sets the tone for this story. Although the two know they should not obtain involved, Lucas can’t support but pursue Lilly until he finally wears her down.Falling for Caleb (Falling 7)Falling for Caleb is a beautiful steamy M/M romance between Taylor and Caleb who had previously met at a party and had insta-attraction. The two were known as casual daters never really involved in serious relationships, but evidentially their attraction turned into something they couldn’t walk away from.Falling for Declan (Falling 8)Declan is Lilly’s twin brother who owns a surf . He and Nicole (Lilly’s friend) had always hated each other, but the two had not seen each other in while. Nicole needs a job and Lilly convinces Declan to give her a job in his surf . Versus his better judgment, Declan agrees but of course old feelings resurface, fresh feelings are discovered and the lines between hate and love start to blur. I enjoyed this one also. Opponents to lovers is another of my fave tropes.Falling for Liam (Falling 9)Finally, we obtain Liam and Liv’s story. Liv is Nicole’s best mate and Liam has always wanted her. Liam had always claimed her, but then Liv was gone. Now she is back and Liam is determined to obtain her back and this time hold her.Overall, the entire series had a lot of drama. A lot of tragedy and pain. A lot of secrets. This group of mates dealt with loss, grief, and survival. There were secret pregnancies, miscarriages and a lot of tragic happenings that left scars. There was miscommunication, anger and judgment, but throughout it all there was friendship and love.

I don’t know where to start. This book set is intense. Friends, family, and strangers all support each other in one method or another. You have love, loss, and a bond between mates that sometimes you want you had in true life. You have eight alpha males and 8 powerful women, they are friends, and family. They support each other, pick each other up, laugh, party together, and most necessary of all they are always there for each other. Ryan lost Hannah the love of life, this was the hardest thing for him, her family, her best mate but most of all her twin sister. I cried, laughed, yelled, and just had to place my book down. I know it’s a book, but I felt the pain in this story and how it developed with each book. The latest book nearly broke my heart. I am excited to be able to read BJ’s story, He is one I haven’t figured out yet. Thank you United Indie Book Blog for allowing me to read this awesome book.

Just when I think I can't love a Maya Hughes book more than the latest one, she goes and writes The Art of Falling For You......and I am totally in love Dare and Bay! This story hooked me from the start, as I loved getting to go back in time and see how their story started - especially after seeing how they reacted to seeing one another in the present. And oh what a story it was. Dare is the popular, football star. And even after 3 years of being there, Bay is the fresh girl, somewhat of a loner due to the nickname she's been given. But one night, Dare hears Bay playing her guitar and singing outside her house (he lives behind her)......and nothing is the same after that. He totally sees her in a fresh light and is completely drawn to her. Bay is just trying to obtain through the latest few months of high school, but can't escape the same pull she feels towards Dare. I really just loved watching the progression of their relationship. It was just so natural and sweet and beautiful. But then......that moment where it all goes south.....my heart was absolutely ortly after that, we go back to show time. And since this is a trilogy, you know a cliffy of some sorts is coming. And HOLY CRAP. This one..........well played Maya. Well played.

Falling for Him by Tracy Lorraine. This is a amazing collection of stories filled with emotion, drama, private conflict & struggle, steam, and charismatic characters. If I had to pick a favorite, I would say Falling for Ryan- I enjoyed the budding relationship between Ryan and Molly and their undeniable chemistry and the push and pull between them. However, each story in this set is equally as well written and engaging and I would recommend this set to others. The Art of Falling for You (Falling Trilogy Book 1) []  2021-3-14 18:0

Let's begin right off with the fine print and obtain that out of the way. Somehow I missed that this trilogy is three interdependent books about the same couple, so yeah, there be cliffies. That said, oh my heart, I love Bay and Dare so, so much! Hųghes has found the excellent balance between angsty heartache and hopeful forevers.Dare may be the bıg man on campus, star football player and part of the “in" crowd, but he has his share of baggage and strųggles. In three years he's not ever noticed his neighbor, The Fresh Girl, until he hears her singing one day in her backyard. And from that moment on, she's all he can 'd think that after three years, Bay would no longer be The Fresh Girl, but that's life in a little town. She's a small geeky and participates in theater and music, so she has no idea what to do when Mr. Famous starts giving her attention. She'd rather he just run along to the football field and allow the sports groupıes fawn over is gifted storyteller has an awesome talent for penning fresh and young adult romance. These characters may be high school age but there's none of the manufactured drama and gross immaturity I’ve seen in so a lot of others. Instead, these characters are complex and authentic, easily drawing the reader into their is first part of the trilogy takes us through Dare and Bay's relationship during their senior year of high school, and it took nothing at all for them to victory me over. I can’t wait to see what happens next, because these two have taken up permanent residence my heart. Wait until you can read their story straight through, or jump in now and wait with eager anticipation along with the rest of us, but this is street to forever is one you won’t wish to miss!

I can't wait for Part 2 of Dare and Bay's find for their HEA. Even with the hurt done, these two deserve to search their method to bliss, boy do they ever!

The Art of Falling for You (Falling Trilogy Book 1) []  2021-3-14 18:0

That ending? And that cliffhanger? DEVASTATING. The kind of devastating that makes you wish to begin reading the followup immediately. I’m really, really – emphasis on the really – not a trilogy girl, but this story has me hooked and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. While this is a full-length novel (and not a short one), it felt like a lot of setup for the main event. Understanding this couple’s history is essential to their future, so I completely obtain why it was necessary, but I’m much more interested in the show day. These characters are complex and interesting, and I love the backstory that the author has set up for our hero. He is… well, he’s a bit of a mess, but I love that about him. Seeing how that all plays out in the future should very e story follows Dare, a high school senior who has one latest possibility to create it out of his hometown. He’s lived with an abusive father for years, and it’s shaped him into the guy he is now – a strong, temperamental football player with hopes of going pro. Football is his shot at making a better life for himself, and it’s become the center of his world. That is, until Bay enters the picture. She’s gone to school with Dare for a few years now and has lived next door for months, but it’s not until Dare hears her playing guitar that he takes notice. The more Dare discovers about Bay, the more he likes, and she soon becomes a bright spot in his otherwise bleak life.I’ll openly admit to being hesitant going into this. I love a standalone, like a duet, and generally avoid trilogies, but I’m a fan of this author’s work, so I decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad I did. This foundational portion of the series is necessary going forward, and I kind of liked that it was a whole book devoted to the past. It’s a slow burn that takes a small bit to build up the romance, but I was invested in Dare’s story from the start. Theirs is a relationship that fumbles along the method (probably too much), but I love the sides they bring out in each other. There’s some teenage melodrama and miscommunication that wasn’t my favorite, but I’ve got to imagine that both Dare and Bay will be various people going forward. And that’s all I’ll say about that. The ending broke my heart, and I can’t wait until the author puts it back together again – the amazing news is that it will be very soon. I received an early copy via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sweet, slow burn romance.

So for some reason I didn't realize or had just forgotten that TAOFFY is book one in a trilogy. Imagine my surprise when I obtain to the end and hold trying to turn pages because, HELLO a girl needs to know what's going to happen next. So yeah, all the pages were read and I'm just dying to know what's to come because Bay and Dare are EVERYTHING!!!!!Bay is a low key, down to earth kind of girl trying to figure out life after a major happening that turned her globe upside down. Dare is one of the football kings at school but all he wants is a method out of town, away from the life he has lived so far and he'll do whatever it takes to reach his metimes things happen in life that has no rhyme or reason but changes your outlook on so much. When Dare hears the attractive voice on the other side of the fence he needs to know who it is because it speaks to him like nothing has before. Because of this one encounter Bay and Dare are about to embark on a lot of firsts and while a lot of are excellent sometimes you just can`t stop the poor from breaking in."I`d played with fire and been engulfed in flames - first of desire, but now of pain."This is most definitely on my top reads of 2021 list and I foresee the other two right up there.

A book about a forbidden love that is full of passion, deception, and a family that’s broken. The story of Ben and Lauren’s love is a forbidden love because they are step siblings. Lauren’s father is married to Ben’s mom, who was a widow. Ben’s mom Jenny is a rich woman who inherited her husband’s business when he died of natural causes. Lauren’s dad, Nick swooped in and manipulated Jenny into believing that he loved her and was her knight in shining ck has forbidden Ben to see Lauren or even touch her, but he really has no control over their relationship, or does he? When Nick finds out about Ben and Lauren, he uses threats to break them is book is intense and crushing at times. These are two young adults who see nothing wrong with their attraction and wish to war for their happiness, but they are young and their desire to protect the ones they love drive them. They aren’t able to think things through when they create a decision and it causes pain for everyone.I really enjoyed this story and give it is 4.5-star review. I am looking forward to more of Ben and Lauren’s story, especially since the end of this one crushed me. This was my first read of Tracy Lorraine’s books, but I am glad I read it and I look forward to reading more. If you like angsty, young adult, forbidden love or stories that pull at your heartstrings, then you should pick up this book and read it.

Amazing instalove connection between Heather and Ethan. They connected in so a lot of levels that you might say this was an almost excellent romance. There was a small hiccup towards the end but rather than allow a misunderstanding obtain out of hand the couple created an effort to work things out. I was soooooo glad there wasn't gonna be any excessive drama with that. Dani, Heather's best mate from the previous book created an appearance and that was nice to see. Hard to hold attention. Too much adolescent, turning of age, head in the clouds for me. Our heroine if you can call her that is barely eighteen. No experience in anything. Might be interesting to another eighteen year old but not really for anyone over the age of twenty. You’ll be bored. Just shows how stupid we all were. I especially hate books that just drop. I don’t do follow ons unless the main characters have been left in a satisfied place. I won’t be finding out what happens to Ben don’t care enough to search out. The writings on the wall for most of the future anyway. Amazing luck to those that venture forward hope you finally search the pot of gold eventually.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Lauren has just moved in with her father, Nick, and step-mom Jenny to work with him at Johnson & Sons. She grew up living with her mom and is not prepared for her step-brother, n does not trust Lauren's dad Nick at all with the company that his family started. Yet as much as he wants to hate Lauren he can't deny his attraction to e Ben and Lauren willing to cross the line and at what cost will it be for both of them? This is such a amazing beginning and I am really looking forward to this series.I liked Lauren but almost from the beginning you knew where certain parts of the book were headed, like with what was going on with Nick at work. Lauren was very trusting but at the same time she was warned by Ben to trust her gut.I really liked Ben and you could tell he was onto something but he was walking a fine line due to Nick and his relationship with his mom, Jenny. I hated how Nick treated Ben and how much he had to place up e relationship between Ben and Lauren was intense right from the beginning but they had to be very careful, especially with how much Nick hated Ben. The stage at the restaurant was very surprising and I was shocked at what Nick did to Lauren and I couldn’t believe she still place up with him after that.I wasn’t surprised at what happened at the end and I am curious to see what happens next as I know things are not going to be simple for Ben! - By Rebecca

Falling for the Guy Next Door []  2020-9-23 19:26

Falling for the Guy Next Door is the second book in the Guy Next Door series. It is the story of Heather Gunderson and Ethan Jennings. I really loved this story as it has a lot of moments which pull at your heartstrings along with a small bit of drama.Heather's grandmother Doris died a month ago and she inherited her house. So it is moving day from her old very, very, poor apartment building in the more than sketchy part of city to a nice neighborhood across town. Heather is best mates with Dani, her love story is the previous book in the series, who is helping her move things out of her apartment. Heather has a amazing job working in marketing, not one she really likes but it pays well. However, she created a choice to live where she did as she is helping to pay for her younger sister's college so she can graduate without a lot of han owns a handyman business with his friend. His elderly next door neighbor, Doris, passed away a month ago. But before she did Doris asked Ethan to look out for her granddaughter who was inheriting the house. So Ethan took a couple of days off work when he knew Heather would be moving in just to watch out and give her a hand if she required it.When Heather, with her very overloaded car, pulls up to the house let's just say that it is an interesting first introduction. Ethan is working outside when he sees Heather and decides to give her a hand, which once he really sees Heather he would like to give her two hands roaming all over her curvy body. Heather is befuddled by Ethan as the man is tall, handsome, y and shirtless.......how do you handle that as your first welcome to the neighborhood but say a amazing huge Thank You. Ethan feels instantly protective of Heather, like he wants to take care of her, but he is not sure where that feeling is coming from. But as she is Doris's granddaughter she is off limits, that line cannot be crossed. So when Heather gives her fresh neighbor a amazing huge present that night, just to tease him of course, things are about to obtain even more interesting in the is is a funny and entertaining short story that is well written. The story-line keeps your attention and the characters are wonderfully developed. Sprinkle in some drama, friendships, family, romance and a lot of hot and sizzling chemistry throughout and you have a champion of a book. I would recommend Falling for the Guy Next Door to other readers, whether you are already a fan of Kali Hart or you would like to explore a fresh author of amazing short romance stories.

Ethan and Heather meet as she moves into the house her grandma, recently passed, had and Ethan is the next door neighbor. The grandmother had asked Ethan to support her out, so he helps bring her items into the house and helps her move some more from a dialect apartment she had been in. They have immediate feelings for each other and things skyrocket from there. The characters are believable and honest from the start. The only true tension is back at the old apartment when the stalker is around, so it is mostly a very sweet romantic story. This fast read will place a few smiles on your face and place you into a very amazing mood.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Warning: this book will pull you in so fast, but it does end in a cliffhanger! I loved this book so much. I started it yesterday & hates that I had to sleep & then go to work today, so I finished the rest in one sitting! I read it on KU & then had to go buy it. If you’ve read the other “Falling” series, this is BJ’s story & you really obtain an understanding of why he is how he is. Even though the relationship is supposedly forbidden, you can’t support but pull for the lovers. There’s also the tips of something deeper & darker in the dad’s part of the story that I hope we obtain to see finished in the rest of the books. No spoilers here, but you will love Ben & Lauren & hope for their HEA! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!

I have to say, it was SO simple for me to fall in love with this story.I was sucked in from the first page, and didn't place it down until I reached that final page!Congratulations to Tracy Lorraine, because you wrecked me with this heartwrenching story of real uren's father decides that she will be moving in with him & his wife, and attending college where he wants her to, along with studying what he wants her to. Lauren is so used to trying to just create him happy, she finds herself following his orders and moving in with him & his wife Jenny. Jenny's son Ben lives in the house as well, and both Lauren and him search themselves in strange cirtances...because who is going to be okay with step-siblings being in love?Tracy has made such a attractive love between two people who normally would be 'forbidden" to love one another, and has place together an addicting story that you absolutely will not wish to place down! That cliffhanger at the end just about killed me, and I am SOOOO ready for the next one!I highly recommend that everyone gives this story a chance, you will not be dissapointed. Especially those that LOVE a amazing stepbrother romance trope!

Pete the Cat Falling for Autumn []  2020-9-18 18:42

In this book, Pete the Cat learns that while he's sad that summer is ending, there is a lot to love about fall - pumpkin pie, apple picking, football with friends! The age recommendation is 4-8, but my 2-year-old loves all the colors and learning fresh fall words like "pumpkin," "maze," and "leaves," so I think it's a amazing book for introducing toddlers to fall and for reminding school age children of all the exciting things that fall thing I found odd was that in this story the first day of fall and Thanksgiving seem to be the same day, which is not the case in the US. It works nicely for the story, but could definitely be confusing for kids. I plan to tell my own children that Thanksgiving is celebrated on various days in various countries and explain that it has to do with the timing of the harvest. Maybe we'll look up the various dates and search the one that's closest to Pete's Thanksgiving when they're a small older.

Ethan and Heather have some instalove going on but they war it. Ethan because of Doris and Heather because she's sure that she is too curvy for a guy like Ethan. Heather was very brave to do what she did to allow Ethan know what she had going on as well as when she told him she knew what she'd done. It worked to her favor. Ethan and Heather have a unbelievable satisfied ever after and the adventure never stops. He makes the decision to take another teaching job in two weeks. Then he hears from the Florida Devil Rays. He starts with the majors and his first android game is in Texas where he is from. One of my husband's favorite movies... I purchased on stream so that we don't have shop the DVD. Its a feel amazing film about a guy who takes a possibility at his dream and has a family that has to sacrifice. I think I would allow my 10 year old grandson watch it. There might have been a small language - but mostly it's ok.

Jim Morris's father (to Jim): "It's okay to think about what you wish to do until it was time to begin doing what you were meant to do."THE ROOKIE tells the inspirational real story of pitcher Jim Morris, who in 1999 finally created it to major league baseball at the ripe old age of 35. Morris might've only stuck around in the huge leagues for 2 years (injuries cropped up), but, give this underdog tremendous props, he was able to realize his life-long dream. Now, to me, THE ROOKIE seems more of a family flick (with some baseball thrown in) rather than specifically a sports movie. Not that it matters. Family flick, sports movie. Listen, it's a must see picture.SPOILERS e plot now: Ever since he was a very young boy Jim Morris has loved baseball. Even as his father's military job kept the family constantly on the move, he never lost his passion for the game. At latest finding stability in the dusty small oiling city of Huge Lake, West Texas, Jim grows up and gets a possibility at the minor league, only to sucb to debilitating injuries and forced to give up the sport. For most folks, that'll be the end of the story. Not for Jim t to a lot of years later. Jim is now a family man, with a loving wife and three unbelievable kids. He's a high school science teacher and coach of the high school baseball team, which has only won one android game each for the latest two seasons. Most times Jim still likes to throw the baseball. Unfathomably he finds himself throwing harder than ever, now throwing heat up to the high 90's, a fact which doesn't go unnoticed by his high school baseball team. The story's turning point comes when, after a particularly lousy android game by his high school kids, Jim makes a deal with them. Should they reach the state playoffs, Jim'll test out again for the majors. Well, they do. So he does.SPOILERS E ROOKIE may be based on a real story, but, in its warm spirit and longshot underdog-ity, there's almost an element of fantasy here, of a want realized and a dream achieved. In a way, it reminds me of  Field of Dreams (Widescreen Two-Disc Anniversary Edition) . Inspirational? Absolutely. Heartwarming. Most definitely. I have nothing negative to say about this film. It teaches lessons in perseverance and sacrifice and faith in family and in yourself. Sure, some of the scenes are contrived, but, guess what, these moments still brought a lump to my e cast is very good, with a particular nod to Dennis Quaid, who is perfect and warm and keeps the fairy tale aspects mostly grounded. And, y'know, Dennis still has his go-to saucy huge grin and his simple charisma. Jim's father tells him: "It's okay to think about what you wish to do until it was time to begin doing what you were meant to do." And Dennis wonderfully conveys the conflict he struggles thru, which stems from discarding practicality and family obligations in order to chase his rainbow. Rachel Griffiths's Lorri Morris gets my vote for most understanding wife of that year.Special features include: the audio commentary by Dennis Quaid and Director John Lee Han; "The Inspirational Story of Jim Morris" - a 20 min featurette spent with the true life Jim Morris as he relives the moments which inspired the film; "Spring Training" - the film's baseball coordinator gives hints on pitching, catching, fielding, hitting, and on the proper app of mustard on hot dogs; and 7 deleted scenes (total of almost 18 minutes), each stage with an intro by the director. If you haven't seen THE ROOKIE yet, you're missing out on something good. And see this one with your family, so you can hug 'em all throughout the movie.

This is one of the better films I have seen in quite a while. As my son noted: a lot happens in this film and it is all meaningful. One might be disappointed to learn that Jim Morrison was not able to pitch very long in the major leagues because of recurring arm trouble. Yet, one learns if one measures one's success versus oneself, and not versus another that one can truly achieve his/her dreams.

    THE GAME: A ROOKIE FIREFIGHTER'S MANUAL FOR SUCCESS []  2019-12-18 20:26

The book is very informative. It gives you the primary info you need to know as a rookie and what to expect upon showing up to the station. It is not a guideline for every station in every town because they’re all going to be different. Overall amazing book, I would recommend for other rookies who are preparing to be at the station.

Amazing book, that really covers all your unspoken knowns of the fire service that allows you to do what you've been training for. I am currently a rookie at a FD in central Texas, and did not pick it up and read it till I was a few months in n my first fire job, but I'm glad I did. It opened my eyes to how to go above and beyond! Must of it is beautiful much common sense, but it helps you better understand it and be able to work in the system easier and more efficiently. For someone who has no previous fire experience and is embarking on their first fire job, GET IT. READ IT. EMBRACE IT. It makes life as a rookie 10 times smoother, because simply it helps you master "the game".I've shared the book with my department and they've sent it up the chain to hopefully give out to rookies one day. In the mean time I've been picked to teach our fresh hires how to be a rookie. It works, take it from a 8 month Rookie.

I got this book for my husband, who is making the transition from working in an office environment to a career in the fire service. While he knew about the fire academy training, the work schedule, and handling emergency calls, he was a small lost about the social environment in the fire house and what to expect. He said that this book really helped him understand what is expected of him when he hits the floor. A amazing read for sure!

As a Chief Training Officer I am responsible for the fresh hire on boarding of probationary firefighters. This is a amazing read for the primary direction a fresh hire should be expected to follow. Adding the idle time tasks and recipes was a amazing touch too. I am making this a mandatory read for all fresh hires prior to placement in the field.

This movie tells the real story of Jim Morrison, who got a rare second possibility at his dream. Morrison had wanted to pitch in the major leagues since he was a boy. But he blew out his shoulder in the minor leagues, which brought an end to his dream. So Morrison went off to college and ended up teaching at his alma mater in west Texas, where he also coaches the baseball team. Now approaching middle age with a wife and three children, he seems like the least likely candidate for a shot at a baseball career. But he goes for it is is a heart-warming, family-friendly movie. Dennis Quaid brings a likeable, everyman quality to the Morrison character. Rachel Griffiths' performance is equally powerful as Lorri Morrison--she is perfectly convincing as a Texan (Griffiths is actually Australian). The casting director also found some cute children to play the Morrison children, especially a very young Angus Jones, who plays the oldest. In the cynical globe in which we live, critics might complain that this film is a bit saccharine. Well, it is, in a Disney kind of way. But that's okay. It is wholesome entertainment for the whole e quality of the blu-ray transfer is excellent. Crisp details; amazing colors; amazing sound. If you are considering an make batter from DVD, it is worth rental Advisory. This film is rated G. There are a couple of instances of mild language. In two scenes, characters are seen sipping a beer (but no drunkenness). In another scene, a married couple is talking in bed. Her shoulders are bare, but there is no nudity or ity. This is a film that most parents would feel comfortable showing even to little children.I highly recommend The Rookie as a film for the whole family--and not just those who are baseball fans. This is a human interest story first, and a baseball film second.

I've loved this movie since seeing it on the huge screen with my family. Though I know that Disney tends to do what some might call sappy family friendly movies when it comes to their sports titles, I search them enjoyable and really like knowing that I can take my family and not worry about foul language and objectionable content on the e Rookie delivers in much the same method that another of my favorite Disney sports titles does, that being Miracle (which I'm impatiently waiting to see come out on Blu-ray disc). It (The Rookie) tells the story of a potential sports character getting his possibility to be a character when the odds are stacked versus could a family man that had his possibility at playing organized baseball but unfortunately fell victim to injury wind up becoming one of the oldest rookies in Major League Baseball? Watch the movie and follow the journey of Jim Morris, the true life pitcher whose life was the basis of the e DVD comes loaded with several nice extras which were carried to the Blu-ray disc as well. Those extras support flesh out some info in the story and also present more of the true life Jim Morris who is portrayed well here by Dennis Quaid.I highly recommend this movie for family viewing. The G rating may scare off some hoping for more cursing or some nudity or violence, but this film shows that a G rated film can be very enjoyable and entertaining, as well as inspirational.

This film is definitely one of my favorite. Dennis Quaid does a really amazing job. To me this film is about second chances in life, reaching ones full potential and finally, having faith and being blessed by God. I don't know how a lot of times I've watched this film and still am not bored watching. Plus I live in Texas and appreciate the rural settings. The only thing I dislike is the lack of help from his wife. If it was true life I couldn't support but feel that he created a mistake in getting married to that women. In this movie, the wife acts like the man of the family, which is disturbing and sickening. I will say, the role of the wife, in my opinion, (because I don't know her true life), was NOT based on actual facts but was an attempt to bring the film to current political standards on female domestic roles. This is sad in fact!
