GE JGBS30DEKBB Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:42

This is a amazing primary stove and oven. The oven is accurate enough for baking. The top burners work great. So far, I have not had to adjust any top burners or the oven burners. They all work great. There is one feature I did message is that when using the oven, the top burner zone does obtain very warm. However, this is a gas oven. My wife told me that years ago, people would hold the meal and side dishes on top of the stove while the oven was on. This kept the side dishes nice and warm while the oven meal was still cooking. Having a hot stove top while using the oven is not unusual for a gas stand-alone range. One just has to obtain used to it. The stove arrived on time and it arrived in perfect condition with not one ding, scratch, or dent. I was very satisfied with the delivery company and Amazon. I would gladly order another stove from Amazon and this particular gas range again.

GE JGBS30DEKWW Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:42

I bought this range as a cheap replacement, and it has met all requirements. It doesn’t have any bells and whistles, but the stove, the oven and the broiler all work very well. There’s an analog dial for the oven in the front, so temp may not be 100% accurate, but if you’re an experienced cook, that doesn’t seem to come into play. Unbelievable product for the price. AND, it was delivered to my door the very next day.

GE JGBS30DEKWW Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:42

This is a Pristine White,.. Simple to Clean,.. Excellent Heat Settings in the Oven. Oven is Very Low Maintenance, Look Pure n Simple,.. No Electric Plug in . Just as it Describes. This is a 4 Burner Natural Gas Stove Top with Oven n Broiler in Bottom of Stove. Amazing Price. Would buy again. As Any GAS OVEN, it will be a Hot Oven to Operate in Summer Months or Warmer Climates, But overall an EXCELLENT Product Amazing Price, Simple to Clean Surface and Oven. Thanks

GE JGBS30DEKWW Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:42

Just got one of these ranges for grand parents to replace an old one that actually wore out. The fresh GE oven is unusable because of the outside temperatures are method too hot. It is impossible to cook on the stove if the oven is in operation. Any cookware on the stove will be too hot to handle and to stand in front is uncomfortable to say the least. No doubt it is a poor engineering design change because I have never seen this issue this poor before.

24” Freestanding Commercial Gas Cook Stove Range with 4 Burners, Cook Rite Stainless Steel Gas Hot Plate Burner- 100000 BTU review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

Still have not gotten this thing to work with liquid propane, instructions terrible. Not sure if the regulator they included was defective or if it is something else. Also, the pipes from the nozzle to the burner are a small short, and fall off if the counter if shaken at all. Disappointed and would return except I destroyed the packaging.

GE PGB911ZEJSS Gas Sealed Burner Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

We love this stove it's all stainless, I especially like the deep stainless top where the burners are, the burners are so high that you could spill or boil over a pot and not worry about it running off the stove or into the burners. It has three stainless racks in the oven so the wife created amazing use of them as it was delivered four days before Christmas. (7 days before it was scheduled to be here) This is our first convection and it created baking all those Christmas goodies a snap. The griddle is amazing flat on one side for sandwiches and flap jacks and it's ribbed on the side for grilling meat and fish.

GE PGB911ZEJSS Gas Sealed Burner Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

The quality is beautiful crappy, especially for the price. But overall, it's a beautiful amazing stove and a nice fresh one from the old. I'd think twice before buying GE again. We've been replacing GE appliances with 20 year old GE appliances lately, and the reduction in quality definitely shows (Range was the latest one, a month ago the Refrigerator, and 6 months ago the Microwave). All three are almost as if a various company (lower quality, but triple the price we paid 20 years ago).

GE PGB911ZEJSS Gas Sealed Burner Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

4 Troops Delivered, Only 4th AcceptablyBetween the control panel and the SS frame there is a 1/16 to 3/16 gap and there is no seal between the two. Fluids will run right through. The left corner you can see the raw side of the SS where the stove top does not cover it properly. All 4 had these problems the first also had a strip of sheet metal protruding from the vents behind the door handle. This final range has the most even "gap" and the corner isn't as obvious, but still is not right. This latest one was inspected by the "White Gloves" service. We accepted this latest unit because the other option was to pull out the matching GE microwave and begin from scratch.I tried to post a review on GE's www service but they censored, even after I modified to their "Rules" it would not post.

Avanti GR020POW 20" Freestanding Gas Range Cooktop, White review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

This stove came with severely chipped stove top. I asked for either a fresh top or some credit/discount because of the damage. I didn't even obtain a response. Now I have to look at that stove top every day and obtain upset for the poor treatment I received from the manufacturer and also from Amazon, since they're the ones who sold me this stove. By the method the stove is not that amazing either it burns everything on the lowest setting if I don't watch it. I had to by a plate for around 18 dollars that I use now to reroute the heat which means I am wasting energy but at least don't burn and waste the meal I am cooking.

Frigidaire FPGF3077QF: Frigidaire Professional 30'' Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

My husband and I love this stove. It has metal knobs, not plastic. Does not have complicated digital panel. The clock and two timers are digital, they kept this simple. A amazing thing. If you wish the stove to handle the convection oven conversion for you, you can program it. It has a 5th burner in the middle, another feature we like. One review mentioned, they have to reach over stove to turn on oven. This is a non problem for us. The knob in the middle is for the middle burner, the 5th burner, this is why the two knobs for the oven are on that back panel. It's perfect. We have had the range for 18 months now, and we love it.

Frigidaire FPGF3077QF: Frigidaire Professional 30'' Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I love the the huge knobs and bars on this strong stove. Its a really attractive stove and comes with three grills. However, I did not keep a broiler pan to bake with or the conversion kit that should have been taped to the back as the manual stated. I also havn't use the oven as yet so will have to modernize at a later date.

Frigidaire FPGF3077QF: Frigidaire Professional 30'' Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I bought the freezer and refrigerator, 2 microwaves, a dishwasher and this gas range, all from the Frigidaire Professional series. I love every single appliance except for this gas range. The engineering is mind-blowingly stupid. Whenever the oven is on for a period of time, the front knobs obtain VERY HOT! And if there are pots on the back burners the back knobs obtain very hot! This is simply ridiculous.

The temperature probe is amazing. I place some pork in the oven with the probe temperature set and the oven automatically turns the temperature down when it is done and keeps the meal warm. Excellent for a fast errand.

Frigidaire Gallery 30" Black Stainless Steel Freestanding Gas Range review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:42

The knobs on this range have been measured in excess of 120 degrees, which will burn to the touch. The customer service squad at Frigidaire has been ever so kind to suggest I handle the knobs with a towel or oven mitt. If you are looking for a range in which the parts that are designed to be touched, are too hot to touch... than this is the range for you. If not, save your time and cash and buy another brand.

Not sure how the other customer has controls heating up. We bought locally and love this gas range. No problems with hot knobs, the cook top responds as expected. The oven works awesome. Just cooked up salmon in a 450 oven and rice with sauté asparagus on top. All was wonderful. You won’t regret buying this gas range.

I am certain there will be a lawsuit as this is something so a lot of people have reported this. Replacement knobs are not cheap. Obviously, this is a materials issue, the plastic insert was bound to fail. I will join any class action lawsuit.

Samsung NX58H5600SS 30 In. Freestanding Gas Range with Custom Griddle and 5.8 Cu. Ft. Convection Oven, Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

This is an AMAZING gas range - best one I've ever owned. The features are exactly what I wanted - no compromising for a change: large oven, convection, cleaning feature, full grated top with 5 burners, black porcelain seamless top. I chose this model because it was in Consumer Reports top 5 free-standing gas ranges. Samsung created 4 of the 5 (the GE was method overpriced) and this was the only one that had the black top - the others had shiny stainless steel tops. From years of cooking experience, I knew that the shiny stainless steel would be a nightmare to hold looking clean. I did not need the warming drawer - had one once and never used it. This oven does have a hold warm feature anyway. The storage drawer is smaller than most stoves, but the trade off is that the oven is much larger and since I cook huge meals often, this is a amazing feature. The ONLY thing I'm a small disappointed about is the fact that it only has 2 oven racks, instead of 3, but I do have a freestanding rack with 1" feet that I use as the bottom rack when needed. The oval burner in the middle does not obtain super hot, so pancakes are more golden colourful than really brown when you use the griddle. I had a poor experience with the seller on Amazon - delivery time was 3x longer than they said, no tracking info, & it arrived totally smashed, so I ordered one from Home Depot.

Samsung NX58H5600SS 30 In. Freestanding Gas Range with Custom Griddle and 5.8 Cu. Ft. Convection Oven, Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

We are very satisfied with this range. Goedeckers did a amazing job with the delivery including choosing an endpoint delivery outfit that was very helpful and patient (we live in a rural zone and we can be difficult to find--because it is gas they could not install it but they helped unpackage it and with the inspection, and took all the trash from the packaging with them). I converted it from NG to Propane and found it to be straight forward. I did have to purchase a fresh valve for connection to my gas line (not the fault of the range) and the recommended, new, flex tubing et. al. but that was to be expected. The only caveat I have is that the zone of the oven orifices is somewhat unclear as is the necessity of removing the burner tubes to reach them but once you understand where they must be, the rest of the installation is logical. We have now been using this range for about a month and everything we've done with it has been great. The flat racks for the top surface are very handy and because they are not slick, hold pans in put stirring, the burners work as advertised and provide an perfect range of heating to choose from, and the grill burner (and grill) work as expected. My only caveat to use is that the burners do not seem to have infinite variability between high and low but tend to jump a several points throughout the dial rotation--the jumps are little and there are more than a half dozen so this has not been an issue.Update: We decided to reduce this from five stars to four because right around the two year tag one of the gas valves failed and had to be replaced at a cost of ~$45. If I did not have the know-how to do this, it could've run into a couple of hundred or more depending on things like location, availability of discount for the valve, etc. I've never heard of a valve failing. For those who are interested, it simply wouldn't turn any more--after replacing it I took it apart and it was not a fault in the safety feature that requires you to [email protected]#$%! in first before you turn it to on/light, after removing that part of the valve, the actual valve still would not turn.

Samsung NX58H5600SS 30 In. Freestanding Gas Range with Custom Griddle and 5.8 Cu. Ft. Convection Oven, Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I owned this Range a mere four months and the finish on the cooktop is peeling off. I followed directions in the manual and only cleaned the cooktop with warm water and mild dish soap. DOES NOT WORK, and now the supposed "ceramic" cooktop is pitted, the finish is chipping off and the stovetop looks like it is 10 years old. I called Sears for a replacement since it had a one-year warranty, and they sent me to Samsung. Samsung sent a rep who looked at the stove and called Samsung who then accused us of misuse. According to the person on the other end of the phone with the serviceman, without even seeing the damage, assuming it was due to misuse and therefore not their responsibility. Samsung has a total disregard for the customer once they have your money. They would not stand behind the product even though it was obvious that it was a defect. On another note:Be sure to hold the gas jets clean and free of debris. If anything at all gets stuck to the gas diffusers it will cause a flare-up. This stove is risky to childrenI would not suggest purchasing this Range. STAY AWAY!!!!

Samsung NX58H5600SS 30 In. Freestanding Gas Range with Custom Griddle and 5.8 Cu. Ft. Convection Oven, Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I purchased this stove fresh at a deep discount from Lowes in May of 2016. It was discontinued shortly after, but this review may be useful to those purchasing used or those looking to purchase newer related a word: Don' works well enough, but it's nothing spectacular. The high heat burners aren't as hot as I was hoping for. And the flame pattern diameter puts all the heat very close to the edge of any commonly used pot or pan. This leaves a center cooler spot. The result can be verified with a thermometer. So not the best piece for deep frying, where you need a LOT of heat fast. Unfortunately, you can't really use larger pots, as the burners are too close ese same larger burners are too hot for most other cooking. And there are two of them, right up front. The single mid size burner at left rear is the most versatile, but still too hot for e unique low heat simmering burner has such a little diameter that it is nearly useless. It heats only a very little section in the center of any pot. Often heating the center hot enough to burn your meal while the outside edges are too cool. Useful only if you'll be stirring constantly.Oven: When baking multiple sheets of cookies, I can see no difference between convection fan on or off. Various locations are hotter or cooler either way. And no difference in time till done. I was really looking forward to the advantages of convection ovens, but can't see e dehydration function does work liability: POOR Four months after purchase the thing woke me up in the middle of the night with a series of 10 loud beeps. Upon investigation, noted an error code on the touch pad display. "--SE--." All touch pad operations inoperative. After googling the issue, discovered SE means a shorted key. I was able to restart the range by unplugging it for 30 is solved the problem. A couple months later I noted that the touch membrane was bubbled up and separated in a couple little spots. And then error sequence happened again.I had purchased the extended warranty, so wasn't too worried about it. The issue continued off and on for several more months. It has now finally broken. Restart lasts only a few minutes. Stove burners are still operative, but NO oven functions, clock, timer, or any other function controlled by key pad.I have extended warranty service scheduled, so I'll see what they say. Internet investigations seem to indicate this is a common age 65, I have owned several ranges. This is actually the first one I ever bought new. All my previous ranges came with the houses I have bought. Not one of them ever failed in any way. When I buy an "appliance" I fully expect it will latest 20 years or more. I'm sure glad I didn't pay anywhere near the $1200 this stove originally retailed for. And I'm sure glad I bought the $100 service policy. I almost didn't buy this range, because I own a very expensive high end Samsung "smart" TV that is so glitchy and buggy it is barely watchable at times. My significant other recently threw away a $1000 Samsung galaxy phone because it it worked so poorly.I will never buy another Samsung incidentally, I bought an LG gas range around the same time from Best Buy for my girlfriends house. A discontinued floor model, similarly featured and priced, it has functioned flawlessly.

Purchased this gas range from a local shop on 11/22/2015. Now just over 2 years later the baking igniter stopped working. I called Samsung technical help who helped me problem shoot the problem. First they said it could be that the gas pressure is too high...asked me if it lights when I'm using my stove top. No it doesn't. Then they told me to turn off the circuit breaker and turn it back on. Could be an electrical issue especially since the power went off and on a few times the day before because of a major snow storm. That didn't work. As I originally thought, it's the igniter. Luckily the shop gave me a free 10 year major components warranty when I purchased the range and my credit card's extended warranty protection will cover the labor. 3rd Samsung appliance to malfunction at about 2 years or less. I won't buy anymore Samsung anything.

Kenmore 2273433 4.2 cu. ft. Freestanding Gas Range in Stainless Steel, includes delivery and hookup (Available in select cities only) review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

Works great. Our old range in the house we bought was very sketchy: only one burner worked, and anytime you tried to use the burner or the oven the kitchen would smell like gas. Had to be replaced. Well, we bought this one (was only $449 at the time) and it was delivered on time and installed properly, all included! All the other stores like Best Buy, Lowe's, etc. wanted an additional $140 for delivery/installation on any of their stoves. Created the choice easy. The burners turn on consistently every time and work fine, and the oven works amazing too. I never smell any thing to note is the range did not quite fit into our kitchen (it was maybe 1 cm too wide), but they left it hooked up outside the hole so I didn't have to mess with any of the gas hookups. I went to Home Depot and bought a saw, shaved down the counter then I slid it in, all was good. I thought that might happen, the measurement seemed a bit tight, but it's an old house. Would have been hard to search a range that fit without having to do that. Just be aware if you have an old or little kitchen it might be an problem (and be prepared to do a small bit of work to create it fit if so).

It looks really nice. Cleans simple too. Stove top works perfectly.I have a few issues with it and they are:1. It seems that the oven temperature is off. I'll set the oven for 350º and place something in and set the timer (typically I set it for half the low and high suggested times) and the meal will come out a small burnt or over cooked.2. The display doesn't indicate when the oven is done heating up. I'd have to be near it or listening for it to beep.3. The beep is beautiful solid in terms of volume, but if you set a timer, you better be listening for it or have a timer on another device because it will only beep once instead of repeatedly over intervals.Overall amazing purchase, but there's definitely better.

This Kenmore range was the same price is listed by Sears but the Amazon purchase included free delivery, installation and removal of old range. The range works well and looks good. It has a central burner on the stove that can be used with a grill pan for grilling. The stove burner racks are very massive duty. The burner control knobs have a feature where the lowest flame is at the furthest counter clockwise position so that no fiddling around is required to obtain the very low flame. The stove top is black ceramic instead of stainless, as I would have preferred but I was aware of that when I created my purchase. For a cost effective price, I think this stove is a amazing purchase.

This is the first time I've ordered something this huge online and I have to say, I loved it ;) The local delivery company was flexible, I rescheduled on them and they worked with me. The guys who installed and removed the old one (included in the price, and why I chose to order online vs buying local), were here for about 10 mins total. Quick and efficient. This was so much less hassle than previous appliance purchases I've had... As for how it works, well, it works like you would expect a fresh appliance to work: it just does, lol. No problems thus far. Comparing to my previous stove, it of course works much better, which is why I replaced it to start with... It's much easier to clean, the button panel is primary but simple enough to figure out really quick w/o cracking the included manual, etc.

So far (Day Two) all I have used the oven for is to raise bread dough (with the oven light on) but I wish to compliment and Kenmore for (a) the excellent, prompt delivery and installation service - two powerful and technically adept men delivered the fresh range right on time, installed the electrical and gas connections, tested it and then removed the old range in short order, and were pleasant and friendly, (b) I didn't see any mention of this so I called Kenmore and spoke within seconds to a helpful rep. who told me that the warranty was automatically registered when I purchased the appliance, and confirmed this using my phone number. Very pleasant to have such an simple and straightforward buying experience and i shan't hesitate to buy a huge appliance this method in the future.

Frigidaire FFGF3054TS 30 Inch Gas Freestanding Range with 5 Sealed Burner Cooktop, 5 cu. ft. Primary Oven Capacity, in Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I have been wanting a gas range for years. When our horrible, awful, glass top electric oven quit (2nd one in under 5 years) I pleaded my case to convert to gas. We do not have hookup access, so everything had to be installed and we required a conversion kit. This range does not have all the bells and whistles of a high-end "chef's kitchen" inspired monstrosity, but it can out-cook anything electric I have ever used in the past. The burners are so strong that I'm learning to take it down a notch - or several, and stove top cooking is FASTER than ever. The larger capacity boil burner heats water so much faster that I actually have had to change how I time my dishes. I just created 2 loaves of zucchini bread in the oven, and I think for the first time ever, they were done in the time recommended by the recipe without needing to be constantly checked or the time re-adjusted.When the range arrived, one of the 3 burner grates had a split in it, which created it unusable (could not keep weight). I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement immediately. As a matter of fact they sent 2 replacements. Overall, I am incredibly satisfied with this purchase. I am not Betty Crocker by any means, but this range (almost) excites me about cooking every day. :)

Frigidaire FFGF3054TS 30 Inch Gas Freestanding Range with 5 Sealed Burner Cooktop, 5 cu. ft. Primary Oven Capacity, in Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I purchased the Frigidaire FFGF3054TS to replace a much older (20+ years) Frigidaire Stove model 30-4982-23/01. It was still functional, but when I had a plumber out regarding a gas leak, he broke the glass display, so I required to obtain a fresh one.I wanted a single door, conventional oven with the broiler inside the oven instead of a separate warming drawer and 5 burners. I've heard mixed reviews regarding baking with convection, even though most models state it can be turned off, it appears to reduce the amount of zone in the oven. I decided on a single door, as the bottom on the double door models seem so low that I am concerned about having to bend that low as I'm getting older. I've also read that broilers are weaker in double door models. Consumer Reports states that this oven has amazing oven capacity, bakes very well, has amazing results with both the high and low burners, and a amazing performing self-clean first choice was the Kenmore 74133/74132 as CR rated the oven capacity as very amazing d, and self-cleaning as perfect ry good, but it was not available in my delivery zone through the retailer where I created my purchase. The fifth burner on both these models is round instead of oval, so I believe it will be more useful and rst, a few complaints about modern stoves in general which also applies to this model:Very few come with drip pans for protecting the stove e majority of them have black enamel tops which present every single speck of e grates are placed much higher above the burners than older models. This looks very nice, but seems inefficient when it comes to cooking. I would think having the flame closer to the bottom of the pan would conserve energy. I've searched and can't search an explanation as to why the majority of the stoves are now designed this way. I'm also unable to search any info as to the recommended distance for the flame to the grate/pan bottom, although another manufacture had noted on their www service for their ovens that the flame should not touch the grate. This seems counter-intuitive to me. With past stoves I've owned and used, the flame touched the grate and even went above it. My understanding is that you just don't wish it to be wider than the bottom of the pan, to the point flames go up the side of the pan. With better quality cookware, it's not usually important to have a high was also interesting to me that Consumer Reports stated that the high powered burners do not simmer pots of sauce on the lowest setting well, I would think with the distance from the grate this would not be an issue. It also seems as though the flame is affected more by the ceiling fan near my kitchen as there is so much zone allowing the air to hit the flame. I had to turn the fan off to stop the breeze from affecting the flame. This was not an problem with my other stove. I was not able to determine the BTU's of the previous model I owned, so I'm not sure how the output compares. I'm assuming it was between 9000-10000 BTU. I've only seen a few complaints about pans not heating as quickly. I haven't spent enough time cooking with my fresh stove to determine if this is an problem for me e oven bakes very evenly. It does not over heat the kitchen when in use. I had read reviews that the stove knobs become hot when using the oven, but this has not been my experience. I have no problems with its performance, but I totally dislike the display.I knew from other reviews that it did not present the clock at the same time the oven was running, but I didn't realize how inconvenient it would be. On my other Frigidaire stove, the clock was visible at all times, except perhaps when when the timer was running. When preheating, it had a count up to the temperature, so I could decide if I wanted to put an item in the oven 5-10 degrees before it reached the temperature I set. I could change the bake time up and down once it had reached temperature, so I could see how much the temperature dropped if I opened the door or if it didn't seem to be heating correctly. I could also see the time so if I forgot to set the timer, I knew what time it was when I place something in the oven. With this oven, once bake is set, all you see is the set temperature. No countdown, no clock. When preheating the oven for a cake, since I can't see the time change while preparing the ingredients, I can't see how long I've beaten the cake batter or how long something else has been on top of the stove, or how much time I have before xyz happens. It may sound minor, something easily solved by putting a clock in the kitchen, but before my stove was an all in one solution, so it is a bit of an annoyance.Other quirks: The owners manual states that baking with the oven light on can cause cakes to rise unevenly, but it doesn't state why. (Edit: Frigidaire informed me the bulb can make more heat on one side of the oven causing the cake to rise faster on one side.) The storage drawer is much smaller than on my previous model, but I like the fact it is stainless, as any dirt will be more visible. It does not come with a broiler pan, but I had the pan from my previous stove. It also does not have a stove-top light like my previous model did. I often used it to illuminate the kitchen at night so there is light to pass though the kitchen, without having all the lights on. The oven door tends to spring back on it's own in closing, which concerns me a bit. At this point I'm chalking it up with simply being unfamiliar with a fresh oven. I don't like the begin vents above the oven door. I will have to be very careful that drips do not obtain inside. I don't like the timer as well as my old stove. The older model beeped continuously until you turned it off and was fairly loud. This one beeps and then will beep once every few minutes. If you are not near the stove when it goes off, you may miss it. Lastly, since I'm naming ALL my complaints, to be very petty I also don't like the fresh logo. I guess it is supposed to be modern, but I liked the cursive logo of the past, it seemed more elegant. The design and layout also seems very plain and boring to summarize:Pros:Bakes evenly and eheats und 5th ns:Display isn't as functional as what I'm used enamel stove-top shows every speck of all storage drip pans.Undetermined:Grates seem unnecessarily high above the burners. I have not yet determined if this is going to cause a major problem. (Edit: Not a issue but I think it is still inefficient.)Oven performance: 5 StarsStove-top performance: 3.75 stars (pending further evaluation of the impact of the grate height.)(Edit 03/11/2019. Modernize to 4.25)Design/Appearance: 4 starsFeatures: 3.5 starsI would recommend this stove, as long as one is making an informed purchase as to the limitations of its features. If I had it to do over, I would test to get a display which was more in line with the previous display on the stove I owned. I am not sure if the Kenmore 74133/74132 that I was also interested in has a more functional display or if the one I have is the norm now.03/11/2019 update: The grates being higher above the burner have not been a issue in cooking. Consumer reports was beautiful accurate about not being able to do a low simmer on the high powered burner. I changed the rating for stovetop performance from 3.75 to 4.25. I still think it is inefficient having the grates so high above the burners, and if there is a breeze it affects the flame more, but I haven't noticed a issue causing meal to cook unevenly or taking longer to heat pans, etc. So far not having drip pans has not been a problem, it may actually create it easier to clean. I recommend cleaning it on a regular basis. I have a relative with a related stove, and her stove top is caked with sticky grease from spills not properly cleaned in a timely manner.

I have rentals and recently switched over to frigidaire, their products have improved over the years. They function well, don't have pointless bells and whistles, and i feel like they hold up with whatever is come to be expected as standard, which has had a higher bar over the years. The black stainless I can speak to, does not present smudges. Google shopping had a much lower price on this, I got it through a 3rd party called discount bandit.

I am a Property Manager and have never had this a lot of issues with a brand fresh appliance before in my life. I am assisting my parents with converting their brand fresh range to LP and it has been over a month without any success. For starters, the conversion kit that comes taped to the back of the appliance contained defective propane (LP) orifices for the burners. Two of the five don't work. Secondly, the instructions on converting the oven to LP are contradictory. On one side of the directions, it says to adjust the pressure regulator and on the other side it says to replace the oven orifice to work with propane (LP). When I called Frigidaire customer service to search out where the oven orifice is and why didn't it come with my conversion kit, they said they don't sell the conversion kits to customers so I would have to contact a third party certified technician (TPCT). The customer service rep then said that my specific model doesn't need an oven orifice, but she wasn't sure and to check with my TPCT.I called the TPCT that they referred me to and they said they were unsure of what came with the conversion kit and would obtain back to me. When they called me back, they said their conversion kit comes with an oven orifice, so I said I'd like to purchase it. They said they won't sell it to me without a service call. I asked how much that would be, they said $100 for a diagnosis, but that amount would be applied to the $225 labor charge to convert my appliance to LP and an extra $25 for the kit. I told them, I know how to convert the stovetop, it's already done except for the two defective pieces, I just need the oven. They said it would still cost me $250 or I can call some other parts and appliance store.I called the local parts shop and told them my plight. They said immediately, this model doesn't need an oven orifice and that Frigidaire and their TPCT should have told me that. It does need adjusting to the oven's pressure regulator and orifice, but it doesn't need a replacement ly, someone who actually knows what they're talking about and they don't even work for the company that manufactures the appliance! This appliance that we have owned for over a month without a single use is not only defective but will cost me half the price of what I paid for it to have a TPCT fix it. I have never owned a Frigidaire appliance before this and now I know why. They are the worst appliances and I will never purchase them again for my own private use or for my properties.

This was purchased to replace an old-style thirty-year-old has five burners, each with various outputs, very versatile and capable of high e oven temp is electronically regulated, making it more precise than the old e timer is almost inaudible and does not turn off oven.I like the lower broiler rather than a broiler in the top of the oven. The broiler has hi/lo output settings which is te: it does not come with a broiler pan, only a rack, but we saved our old one, it fit perfectly. When broiling with a pan there is zone to warm things underneath e massive top grates take some getting used to but work is simple to clean but the black finish shows everything.I am very happy with it overall.

Samsung gas range sucks. Do not waste your money. I am not sure why people won’t say the truth in reviews about this product or other products. I purchased this model and a week later the rubber cushions melted or fell off the grates leaving metal versus metal. I called Samsung and they just sent another set of grates which did the same thing. I am not sure why I didn’t return this!!!!!! Now it is too late and is out of warranty. It is so hard to clean !!!!!! Is is the worse range ever!!!!

I almost never write reviews but I had to for this purchase. I'm one of those people who takes forever to create a purchase because I research the hell out of things before I commit. Absolutely LOVE this oven. I cook and bake daily and this baby is heaven sent plus it looks awesome in my kitchen. The convection oven browns everything perfectly even, the burners bring water to a boil quickly and have even distribution, and the broiler heats quickly and once again, cooks evenly. Love the massive duty grates and professional look. Simple to clean. Installation was a breeze and it sits flush versus the wall. I've had it for about 6 months now and couldn't be happier.

Thor Kitchen Free Standing Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior, in Stainless Steel (HRG3618U) review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

Bought this stove to replace my aging Wolf 6 burner with griddle and two ovens, the Wolf lasted 20 years but was getting old and required work, it was a commercial restaurant stove so is hard to obtain someone to work on it and it was rusting in spots etc. We wanted a smaller stove to gain some counter zone so we went with this. So far I like it, it came dented on the side and amazon gave us 40 percent off! the list price and seeing no one will see the dent that was awesome. I did contact Thor Kitchen about it however to see how they would respond, they never called me back so buyer beware. I can see people having knobs melted because if you use the gas broiler and begin the door (this is a gas broiler and oven) the flames lick the outside at the front a bit (they do say in the manual not to leave the door begin while using the broiler for more than a few seconds, so either begin it when the broiler flame is not lit as it constantly turns on and off when in use or only begin it very quickly. When using the oven or broiler in general it gets very hot on the upper back of the oven so create sure you have fire resistant wall behind it, we have a tile wall and plaster behind it so its safe. The largest gripe I have is that this thing scratches so easily its crazy. All you have to do is look at it and it scratches. I told the guys who were installing our fresh cabinets not to leave tools on it as it scratches easy, but when I checked on them later they had totally scratched up the top face in front of the burners some how :( Oh well... I rather be the one who messes up my fresh stove not installers but such is life. SO when you obtain it installed tell your guys to be very careful. I have awesome gas flow via the top burners with this thing almost to the point of it being a small scary but I like it. You just have to be careful with this baby when using it. Another thing is when you use the oven, the knobs obtain hot and don't turn as easily as they do when just using the range which is a bit odd. Over all I do like it and hope it will latest for at least 10 years. This stove is sold under a lot of company names and they just stick their logo on it. So beware, Thor Kitchen is only one of the names that sell this stove. Maybe call the company you wish to buy from first and check out how they treat you as a customer before actually buying to later search out that customer service is non existent. Amazon delivered it and installed it. They charged me additional for removing my old beast of a stove but I knew that was coming, but they gave us a really nice discount for the side dent so thumbs up to Amazon. One other pet peeve is the center grate, as you cook items will splatter onto the stove surface under the center grate so you have to take it off and clean under it all the time, just create sure not to drag it as you remove it or you will have the dreaded permanent scratches. Also one latest thing is all the burner grates have rubber feet under them so you don't scratch the surface when removing them to clean the stove and to help them but my guess is they will not latest more than a few years and will have to search replacements... Hello Thor Kitchen..... anybody home?

Love it!I was worried ... I purchased this oven based on descent reviews but read a few that created me nervous. After install I have no complaints and I'm really satisfied I got this! The design of this range looks amazing and is amazing quality.I have had no issues with hot knobs. I'm not sure what could have happened for the person that posted that but... I had the oven on seasoning and the burners - no problems.Burners work great! I had zero issues but I had a professional installer do the job so... maybe that helped?I don't believe you need an oven thermometer... The oven lets you know the temperature there is a blue light on the front, once it hits the temperature the blue light turns off. I'll probably still obtain an oven thermometer but... amazing to e self cleaning feature was a non problem with me as even the higher end models (wolf -etc ) have complaints about the self cleaning features. I've never used one- so guess I don't know what I'm missing.I love the blue oven interior - it's pretty.I have zero problems with the oven racks - again I'm not sure what happened for the other reviewer but they are beautiful standard - I suppose if you misalign there could be a issue but that would happen in any stly if I had to pick one thing I disliked... I am not a fan of the company logo. It's a bit ... front and center- so I popped it off and used some goo-gone.

Thor Kitchen Free Standing Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior, in Stainless Steel (HRG3618U) review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I've given this range 8 months of solid use, so I figured it was time to write a review. I would say I use the stove range at least 4 to 5 times a week if not more, and I use the oven portion at least twice a week. I often do soups and stews, so I tend to do a lot of simmering over long periods of sthetically, this stove is a true crowd-pleaser. I would say that I obtain more compliments on the stove than anything that I have ever place inside my home. It is stainless steel, the oven is blue inside, and the cast iron stove top looks very well place together and wise, I have very few problems and everything has turned out very well. The one thing I can say is that if you have never used the stove like this before, which I had not previously, you are in for higher temperatures with a commercial gas range than you're used to, and that can effect in some burning at the bottom of a pot until you obtain it under control. I've had to adjust the temperature a bit to accommodate for this in everything that I e convection part of the oven works very well. I was told that gas stoves aren't ideal for things like baking because the temperature can't be regulated as well. R this oven, that is simply not the case. I created macarons using the convection fan on the oven, and they turned out perfectly. The recipe even accommodated for using a conventional gas oven, which involved taking the macarons out and switching the pan. That step was not important because the oven is well-insulated, and the convection fan circulated effectively.I only have one little gripe, but this has been real of every oven I've ever owned that is gas, so I'm not even sure if it's singular to this particular model, but I can say that when you light one burner some of the other ones snap and pop like they are attempting to ignite. It's a bit alarming when it happens rapid fire and you aren't even moving the at said, I feel like this oven is totally solid and I would recommend it to anyone. It's simplistic in its controls, you aren't overwhelmed with a ton of options, and you can focus on what's necessary - cooking!

Thor Kitchen Free Standing Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior, in Stainless Steel (HRG3618U) review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

I purchased a Thor Kitchen HRG3080U 30" Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with 4.2 cu. ft. Oven, 4 Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior, in Stainless Steel from Amazon over a year ago, but didn't keep what was advertised. Instead, I received a completely older model (first image in a series of 2 present what I had purchased; image 2 is what was delivered by Amazon). As you can see, they are not the same. Additionally, this Thor Gas Range has been nothing but a issue since it's installation. The right side of the unit runs "hot" - so much so that my cabinets near the oven door have discolored (used to be white, now a light beige) and the coil surrounding the glass on the door (the right side only) has turned black, while the coil on the left side remains silver in appearance. The door doesn't close flush any longer due to heat swelling/warping the structure. Additionally, the right back corner has begun to bubble from heat. Lastly, the stove burner caps have begun to disintegrate & discolor, leaving a fine dust on the surface of the stove top; as if they are burning so hot, parts of the caps are turning to dust. While the Thor customer service in California is very good, I can't support but think about the person who packaged this unit; knowing they were sending something I never ordered. That's the worse part; imagine how various my day would have been if my stove actually functions properly and I didn't have to scramble for support or write this review warning others from Amazon's shady practices of false advertising. To date, I'm waiting for a certified "Thor" service technician to schedule an appointment, but it might take a while since few are in my "area" (Gig Harbor is about 45 mins south of Seattle). I'll modernize this post after my oven/stove's been serviced; hoping Thor's 2 year warranty is better than this product.

Edit 6.14.2019So I finally fixed the simmer burner that I was having problem with. The problem was actually much simpler that I thought it would be. The burner DOES come off without accessing beneath although it initially appeared to be bolted down (it is not). The gas tube in the center that is fixed to the burner is held into the range by pressure of a piece of spring metal in the larger tube that it is inserted to that is fixed to the range. You just have to wiggle the burner a bit while pulling up. It will snap back in by reinserting and wiggling the burner as you press back down. The igniter is very close to the simmer portion in the center of the burner. For the larger BTU outside of the burner to be able to light, there is a slot leading to a hole that runs from the center of the burner to the outside (look at some of the photos provided by others and you will see it). This slot is how the outside of the burner gets lighted. In my case it was plugged so after removal I cleaned the slot with some folded over paper and the keep with a cutoff q-tip stick. Works excellent now! To poor the manual doesn't mention this.++++++++++++++++Ok, so here's my thoughts in no particular order. This should address some of the problems that others speak ught mine in May 2016 off Amazon for $1600 after lots of research and a leap of faith in buying something like this online and having something this massive shipped from California to Alabama. Shipping worked out fine.Observations and things to know:This is NOT a self cleaning oven. Knew this when I bought it and I was ok with that. Not a huge deal really, just use a amazing oven cleaner and inside wipes off is NOT electronic. Again, I knew this when I bought it and actually wanted it that way. That means no timer, no digital displays, etc. ere is NO BOTTOM STORAGE FOR PANS. I simply missed that in my research and it turned out to be an problem for me since we have a little galley kitchen that was already full of pots and NT LEAVE THE OVEN DOOR OPEN when oven is in use. Lots of stoves tell you do do this as it allows them to obtain hotter when broiling. For this one the manual states not to and it will melt the front knobs if left begin for very long. In time, even if careful, you will see some heat hurt as the knobs are chrome plated plastic. I would love to obtain some replacement knobs - red would be unbelievable for the look - but so far have not located a e oven racks do not pull out very smoothly. Workable but still I would have preferred a better ainless steel scratches easily. If you have every owned anything stainless you will already know is sucker has a higher BTU output when everything is ablaze than my home furnace. I knew this when I bought it and had a larger gas line place in for about $300. The spec'd output on these burners place most if not all the huge box stoves to shame.Gorgeous blue on the inside of the oven by the way. Really a attractive stove all around and exactly the look that I was going for. Having said that, it reminds me of the white floors and cabinets that we used to have in the kitchen - -constantly looked dirty unless you were constantly cleaning. Whatever. A huge reason for the purchase was for the looks so we deal with nvection does cook quicker so watch the cook times when using it to start. Easy rocker switch turns the fan on and e larger BTU burner can really place out a flame and will slightly discolor edges of the adjacent stainless if not careful. I did this once and was able to [email protected]#$%! out for the most ter speaking with someone who owns a Viking or Wolf (cant remember which), I realize that a lot of of the minor problems are the same with those stoves as well. I was sort of aware of this from my research anyway but from reading reviews it appears to me that some of the complaints are the same for the ranges costing a lot of time more.I had one burner, which unfortunately was the unique one that will go to a super low setting, that stopped working correctly after about 2 months. Checked into getting service done and once I realized that an authorized service center was nowhere near I simply didn't test to obtain it fixed. I'm an avid do-it-your-selfer anyway so I will eventually fix it myself. It looks like it is simply not tightened down from the underside which allows a bit of gas to leak out from beneath where it should not when turned on (which create the igniter continue to run - annoying, but I've got 3 other burners).I've had no problems with adjacent cabinets getting too hot or discoloring paint - makes me wonder if they were leaving the oven door open. Also, the pic that I saw from the reviewer who had this problem showed an adjacent cabinet with white paint so that could exacerbate any issue. Makes me wonder if they used oil based paint - which WILL yellow worse than water based - or if they left the door begin to the oven when cooking, which you are not supposed to rdict: Would I buy again? Yes I think so at this price point. Overall I'm reasonably satisfied.

As my headline reads, this is the best oven that I’ve owned. I’ve only owned 4 so far, but it is far superior to the Maytag-Esque level of appliances that I had e burners are well built, and they really sound like professional gas burners. Everything is constructed well, and the blue interior is cool. My wife loves the low profile look, ’s a huge step up from more entry level appliances without the excess cost of the Wolf or Viking level ovens. I can’t imaging that there is $3,500 worth of additional value in those brands over the Thor. I’ll probably obtain a Thor fridge when mine craps out on me. They look nice, and if they’re built like the oven then I’m in. The only thing I miss is the clock. Oh well.

This is a stellar stove for the price. As of October 2018 the knob problem is fixed with high end brush stainless knobs. Careful, they will obtain very hot if the oven door is left begin too long. The burners are flat out amazing. I replaced a 3800 dollar dcs stove that totally wasn't worth that kind of cash with this stove and we love it. The burner adjustment video on YouTube tells you how to obtain the excellent simmer out of all the burners and the oven front doesn't obtain hot enough to be an problem with the 9 month old learning on it whole s, the stainless exterior is a thinner gauge than a wolf or viking. No it doesn't matter, just don't scrub it with a scotch brite pad and everything will be swell on your cooking work with this stove.

Out of the box, convection fan works for only a few mins and front right burner wouldn't ignite. Thor sent a guy out but didn't fix - "no one uses a convection fan - just loosen up the screws". Chrome started peeling off the knobs. Now, 10 days from the 2 year warranty ending, the oven itself dies. Took Thor a week to arrange for a technician to come, who diagnosed it and requested authorization from Thor to fix it. Thor didn't like their price and sent a fresh ticket to another company, who today, is trying to schedule an appointment to diagnose it 2 weeks from now. They went silent in the meantime without any communication to me or to the first company. DO NOT BUY. Did I mention there is no thermometer, no timed baking, no extras. Company is masquerading as a Viking appliance and not anywhere near it. The only thing thor right now is my butt from dealing with this crap appliance and worse company. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

We just got our fresh Thor stove model HRG3080U, had it professionally installed, and everything works except the oven. Apparently, the igniter doesn't seem to work. I followed the warranty work instructions and called the number but was on keep for so long, I left a notice for them to call and gice me their authorized service people.

The burner adjustment video on YouTube tells you how to obtain the excellent simmer out of all the burners and the oven front doesn't obtain hot enough to be an problem with the 9 month old learning on it whole s, the stainless exterior is a thinner gauge than a wolf or viking. No it doesn't matter, just don't scrub it with a scotch brite pad and everything will be swell on your cooking work with this stove.

Thor Kitchen HRG3080GMT 30" Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with 4.2 cuft, 4 Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior in Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

Thor Kitchen HRG3080U 30" Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with 4.2 cu. ft. Oven, 4 Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior, in Stainless Steel review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:42

Oh well.

ZLINE 30 in. Professional 4.0 cu. ft. 4 Gas on Gas Range in Stainless Steel (RG30) review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:43

This is a quality stove. I had a Viking for 14 years. Not only does this look just like it, it performs equally as well. The dial will not stop at a low simmer, but you can easily look at the flame and obtain a consistent low flow for any type of simmering by just adjusting it. I would buy this again.
