Oh, Willie Nelson, how I love your voice! The smooth lyrics, gravelly voice and emotion emanating from each song are the essence of a real artist. We hear more real feelings from Willie's voice than almost any other recording artist. We know he is there, singing from his heart. We appreciate Willie Nelson more each day."It Always Will Be" is the CD that tops Willie's long career. He has a mix of old time and fresh time and future time. The title song is a ballad in the real Willie style and will be sung again and again. It resonates like his famous song"You Are Always On My Mind". Tom Waits song "Picture In A Frame" is memorable from Willie's style. And what a treat to have Tom Waits melody sung by our Willie. "Dreams Come True" sung with Norah Jones will be a favorite, as it is mine. Willie discovered Norah's voice and mixed it in with the fresh country that is Willie. "Overtime" sung with Lucinda Williams is one of my favorite songs on this CD. Lovely music and the duo of Lucinda and Willie bring chills. "Tired" from Toby Keith is as country as they come. "Texas" is my favorite song- it sounds like Willie of old days; it has that lilting music we love. "Midnight Rider" with Toby Keith is the real country western song with the guitars twanging and boots stomping. What a treat!Willie Nelson is a treasure... He has become our voice of country. A talented writer and extraordinary voice mixed with his "outlaw' nature and you have a real American is CD is one to be remembered and treasured along with Willie.Highly Recommended. prisrob

Just found this CD - I am not a country melody fan, but that may be changing - Willie Nelson's writing and distinct guitar sound is very relaxing and just amazing old American melody - he's an icon. This CD is excellent.

    You Will Be Mine []  2019-12-17 21:13

After reading the Cellar and Cabin, I hold wanting to like Prestons' work. I tried starting this book 3 various times. I finally got into in the 3rd time...sort asons I hated this book:1. The characters are being tracked by a serial killer. They ignore the cops and go out like everything is normal. SPOILER: so surprise when one ends up dead.2. The writing was poor. Some info were over-explained...while others required more explanation.3. Lylah and her mates keep a letter within the first 20 minutes. INSTANTLY she wants to call the cops even though the school is known for playing pranks around Valentine's Day. This to me created me draw away from the book immediately. Someone sends an anonymous note around Valentines saying "You will be mine" and you think you should call the cops? It makes no sense, and makes the plot line less believable.4. There is no build up of characters. Instantly you are thrown in to a plotline with 6 various characters that obtain a paragraph or less of description. It makes it hard to imagine the story, connect with them, and hold the plotline clear.5. SPOILER When they assume who the assassin is they just go with it. No other leads are thought of and they instantly know it must be this person even though there is no evidence linking him directly, other than a hunch.6. END OF THE BOOK SPOILER The ending was even worse then imagined, it leaves unanswered questions. What happens next? If there were to be a sequel I would be shocked, it would be more repetitive then the book already YOURSELF A FAVOR, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.

I really didn’t know how to rate this book.I do have to say that until you search out who the assassin is you’re continuously guessing and questioning most of the characters. As an active reader and lover of anything crime similar - I liked this aspect. But the book is kinda slow in my opinion. And when you finally do search out who the assassin is you’re just like “really...?” I personally don’t feel like they gave any tips or clues who it could be at all. not that I wish to know the first few chapters who the assassin is but I also wish to look back when I search out who it is and think “oh snap! They definitely hinted this and I didn’t pay enough attention to it”.SPOILER ALERT*******& they tip at one person being the assassin then entire book..... like literally the whole entire book. They create it so obvious it’s not that person just by how much they’re continuously hinting at them. It’s annoying and it happens method to early into the book to be enjoyable or to question if it’s really who they’re hinting.

Beyond the fact that the book described was the second in the series after Cellar, which it clearly is not, it was amazing enough to hold my attention. However, all of the missing and added words often created me have to stop where I was and then re-read the sentence to obtain the true meaning. Which, when you are into a book, is extremely distracting. Plot was fine but editing needs some serious work.

I have read all of her mystery books. She is a amazing writer. You will definitely have fun this book if you like to be kept at the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next.

The story as a whole felt a bit too slowly paced for me. I found myself wanting to rush through and explore who was behind the notes and the murders. Eventually my guess turned out to be correct, but the story did what I intended. It gave me the break from my usual genre and allowed me a various kind of escape. I’m a large fan of films with storylines like this book and could totally see it being on the huge screen.

    You Will Be Mine []  2019-12-17 21:13

I was so excited to read this book, because the synopsis sounded scary and great. This had the potential to be a amazing story, but it fell very flat. I had the assassin narrowed down to two people, and when one of them died, it was glaringly obvious who the true assassin was. Also, I cannot obtain over the grammatical errors. So a lot of typos and missing words. The writing itself was mediocre at best. The main hero is annoying. Her mates are dying, and all she cares about is if the guy she likes wants her, too. She doesn't present concern for her other friends, just the one guy she wants. All of the characters, including the main, are two dimensional. You don't really obtain attached to any of them. Their backstories, well the two of the six you get, are just casually thrown in there for affect. After reading her book The Cabin, I was excited to read more by her. This book left me very underwhelmed.

Revolutionary Wealth: How It Will Be Created and How It Will Change Our Lives []  2020-1-31 21:23

I liked Future Shock, so I was hoping the Tofflers would have another hit. What a miss. I'm not begrudging the $11 I spent to download the book to my Pocket PC (T-Mobile MDA Pro, with Microsoft Reader), but this work is one tedious, repetitious bore. The Tofflers rehash the latest 50 years, with occasional forays into the more distant past and the possible future. If you've read the Wall Road Journal for a lot of years, you know what's in the book already. I'm a knowledge worker myself (certified systems engineer) and have written thousands of computer programs in science, engineering, and accounting, but I recognize (unlike the Tofflers) that most people on the planet cannot do this work, and that most people will still be employed in industry (the "Second Wave"). Yes, we've gone from the hunter-gatherer economy (which could be called the "Zeroth Wave") to the agricultural economy ("First Wave") to the industrial economy ("Second Wave") and now to the knowledge-based economy ("Third Wave"). But not everything in culture or history fits this paradigm--witness the conflict between the West and the Islamo-Fascists, barely discussed by the Tofflers. The work turns to lunacy when the Tofflers forecast the end of capitalism as we know it and the dollar. Weird. The Tofflers discuss the not good performance of the European Union but don't state the obvious cause: som. The true hope for the globe is free shop capitalism and limited government, not merely a knowledge-based e Tofflers seem fond of different neologisms, like "prosumer" and "complexorama." It's quite real that the three sectors of the economy are the private, the public (government), and the voluntary ("prosumer" to the Tofflers). But, the Tofflers vastly overestimate the result of volunteers, even to the point of stating that it's equal to the cash economy. They cite the development of Linux as an example. But a lot of enterprises (probably most) begin as avocations before becoming vocations. One has to practice before charging true cash for work. It's a common marketing ploy to price a product at zero or very small at the beginning, and then charge more later e Table of Contents is fine, but there is no index (at least not in the digital version), no charts, no graphs, and no equations. The End Notes and Bibliography are fine, but the references in the body of the text (to particular pages in the Bibliography) are missing! Again, weird.

A amazing tutorial to survive our current economic changes and why our government is failing to change quick enough to really solve problems. It shows where The Third Wave is taking us (the world) and how our leaders are failing to adapt. A must read if you wish to know why the globe is spinning out of control and how you can ride the wave rather than be washed away by it.

I am always especially and remarkably astounded at the breadth and versatility of their inventory of ogies and true globe references from so a lot of various perspectives, genres, points of view, and physical anomalies which are so simple to relate to whenever they pop up in the text.I look forward with amazing enthusiasm and anticipation to every fresh work they publish!

Possibly, they need encouragement of the author who may be forgotten but the fruit of his/her encouragement fore the history of future suprising us, Alvin and Heidi Toffler give a positive expression of reality in a third wave world, which may often seem to be filled with negative and resistance from vested E REVOLUTIONARY WEALTH provides us with strong fresh tools for thinking about and preparing for our Alhaj Hammad A. Alvin Toffler always has the bonus of explaining complex problems in a clear understandable fashion. This is a book that every US voter should read to cast an smart vote for all contenders for public office. Sadly I think if we took a poll we would be shocked at how few Congress people have ever read it. This book would go a long method to educating the sound bite so called Right and the ranting Tea Party to the reality of the current global political and economic situation. It would also go far to educate the Leftist side of the electorate. Understanding what he place forth in this and his previous books would insure an smart vote rather than continuing with uneducated, emotional votes. This is a book that should be read in 12th grade in all public high schools.

This book continues the prescient observations created by the authors during the past several decades. Future Shock, The Third Wave, Powershift, and now Revolutionary Wealth have given interesting and valuable insights into some of the necessary changes that are likely to occur during the coming years. Changes that affect most locations of most lives. Realistic, yet optimistic. (I suppose some would say that you cannot have both.) Particularly interesting to me were the discussions of the "deep fundamentals" of time and space, and of "filtering truth."

This Year It Will Be Different: And Other Stories []  2020-2-6 20:21

Not the sweet syrupy typical Christmas stories, or stories where everyone is excellent and has no faults, these are more realistic, the characters have issues, they are not perfect, they don't always create the right decisions, they are normal, realistic people, and that's why I enjoyed a lot of of the stories so much. There's a saying "When life gives you lemons, create lemonade" and that is what most of the stories in this collection do. From the woman who realizes her relationship with a man is not going to go anywhere, to the wife/stepmother who unintentionally makes a stepdaughter feel welcome, to the woman in the feature story who at long latest does create Christmas different. Although these are not stories that come to mind for reading to obtain me in the Christmas spirit, I do have fun them, they are good, well written stories and I have fun reading them every few years. I'm very glad they are available now in e-format.

Christmas can be sad, or mad, or bad. In case you were wondering. One story I liked was about two men who bond over Christmas in Ireland, in a setting that could be from A Week in Winter. They bond over Christmas as they recall, sadly, that they both miss their wives.

If you like the simplicity and hero development of Maeve Binchy's writing this audio collection of short stories with a Christmas theme is an uplifting "listen" for the holidays. Not too schmaltzy and ultimately heartwarming, this collection struck just the right tone when I wanted to listen to something Christmasy, obtain out of my head and away from national news, and obtain a taste for the easy amazing life in Ireland. I have fun Maeve Binchy's work by listening more than reading - the characters come alive. This collection was the audio equivalent of warm cookies and tea on a blustery day - comforting, nurturing and pleasant.

Maeve Binchy is one of my all-time favorite authors. There is nothing of hers that I haven't liked and most if her work, I have loved. A while back, I was looking at everything she has written to see if I had missed something and came across this book. Since Christmas was coming up I bought it for my Kindle but waited until December to start is is a collection of short stories (which I typically don't like as well as novels) but the author manages to write them so well. The characters are developed in each one and I was totally engrossed in each story quickly so I hardly noticed they weren't full-length stories. In typical Binchy style, the stories are a mixture of amazing and bad, private damage and growth. Unlike most books published geared around the holidays of fluffy stories with satisfied endings, there is "meat on those bones" with this collection. There are probably more heart-wrenching stories than uplifting ones, but after multiple novels of light and airy narratives, I was actually quite ready for some grittier story lines and this delivered. I think Maeve Binchy is probably one of the few authors that can obtain away with writing about poor items event during the holidays and still have me loving it.A unbelievable collection of well-written stories. For those looking for the Normal Rockwell ver of holiday stories, this definitely isn't for you. For people looking for the stories of things not always going well and families not always getting along (realistic but without being over-the-top), this might be just the ticket. I loved it and plan on re-reading it over the coming years.

So far I have read 6 of the 15 stories in the book - this book is created up of 15 short stories all about Christmas. In keeping with the Maeve Binchy style of writing, you might already know she gives us the Christmas we might REALLY have/had or we know somebody close who had a Christmas like so: without the TV tradition and fantasy and pretense, but believe me she give's each story the day-to-day attention that leads up to a thought provoking and really HOPEFUL Christmas.

This collection of stories mostly relates to the characters' heartbreaks, in different forms of relationships(infidelity, nonsupportive spouses, unappreciative step-children or children, left at the altar...). On the one hand, it is a amazing holiday read, because if you are stressing over nonfat versus regular eggnog, or what stupid bonus will Aunt Lil give you this year, you can't support stopping and thinking about these characters and their dismal situations. It may support to appreciate all of the amazing things and people in your life. On the other hand, if your taste runs to Hallmark holiday moments, you may search these depressing, with a small dark humor here and there. The stories are very short--perfect for reading when you anticipate interruptions!

There's No Plan B for Your A-Game: Be the Best in the World at What You Do []  2020-1-30 21:15

Bo's fresh book is so powerful, I can't place it down. It's truly a page turner and has the potential to change lives, huge time. There's No Plan B For Your A-Game is really a step-by-step tutorial to becoming a master in your chosen area. I started studying directly with Bo earlier this year at his live happenings and mastermind... but as soon as got an early copy of his book on Kindle, I couldn't obtain enough of the content. I've already highlighted and annotated a huge chunk of the book and am looking at my life through various eyes, asking myself if what I'm about to do, or agree to, or experience is truly the best for *me* and in alignment with what I've committed to for myself...If you wish to be the best, you have to learn from the best. How often do we obtain the possibility to learn from a pro athlete? An accomplished playwright and actor? A top speaker and trainer? Bo Eason is truly the true deal and his book is my fresh handbook for my life and career!![Pic = I was fortunate to be able to interview Bo on my Fb page recently!]

How to be the Leader of the Pack...And have Your Dog Love You For It. []  2021-1-7 19:37

As a volunteer for my shelter and owner of three dogs I am so grateful that I came across Patricia McConnell's books. There's so much misinformation out there about dog behavior and training that I didn't even know who to trust until finally I came across Dr McConnell's articles. Everything created complete sense to me and her techniques were completely force free and they WORKED. I recommend this book to any of my mates and family members wanting to learn more about dog behavior and training.I should also add that McConnell seems to focus more on understanding dog behavior than anything else. I search this very helpful because I'm then able to apply what I've learned to multiple situations and develop my own techniques, but if you're a 'to the point' kind of person looking for a straight forward, step-by-step tutorial to training this book may not be for you. If you're like me, and would like to understand WHY your dog behaves a certain method and understand him/her then I highly recommend this book.

The title caught my attention, unlike the young character Danny looking ahead to what his life might be, I am more of bucket list age looking back on a lifetime depression roller coaster, and still battling. His steps to take were affirming for me where I have worked on them already, but that latest bit where you work on the pursuit of happiness, when you aren't used to doing that, is challenging me now. I loved the description of knowing what you love by how energized it makes you. The release of perfectionism and the constant comparing are also current challenges. Much of the wording gave me affirmation and clarity about the battle, thanks for that.

I've been following Bo for quite some time. He's someone who demands the very best from himself and helps those who follow him do the same. This book includes stories, strategies, and tools for becoming the best in whatever field you choose to story in particular hit home. The story is about Bo's son, who was nine years old at the time, who had an opportunity to work out with star NFL quarterback Matt Ryan. While driving his son to the workout, Bo (a former pro football player himself) kept emphasizing to his son that he should not act like some starry-eyed fan when meeting Matt Ryan. Even though one was just a child and the other a pro-bowl quarterback, they were both athletes, and he required to act as if he were meeting a his son didn't ask for any pictures or autographs, he just gave his all for two hours during the workout. At the end, Matt Ryan was the one who asked for a picture together. He was so impressed by the kid's effort, that he wanted a picture to present that he knew him back when he was just starting ing this story, I came to reflect on how I acted like a starry-eyed fan vis-a-vis some of the stars in my own industry. As Bo points out, fans tend to remain in a state of awe as they sit on their butts, drink a beer, and watch others perform at their best. Peers, on the other hand, learn from each other and push themselves to raise their own levels. I decided to shift my orientation, to only look at the stars in my field as peers. Even if the gap between us is as huge as that between a nine-year-old boy and a pro bown quarterback, we're still in the same field and changing my perception is the first step toward closing that is book is packed with related inspiring stories and lessons. I highly recommend it to others who are looking to raise their android game in life.

Are you real to your nature? Are you living an authentic life? Do you present up as who you really are? Have you given yourself full permission to be who you really are?Bo Eason did something brilliant when he transitioned out of his professional football career into the field of scene acting. He sought out the best scene actor of that time and asked him for the formula, how to become the best scene actor. That actor happened to be Al Pacino. As truly amazing people do, Al Pacino generously shared the info of his journey and provided his roadmap to becoming a amazing scene actor. Bo took that roadmap, implemented it and became a amazing scene rough this book, Bo Eason does for the reader the same thing that Al Pacino did for him. Bo delivers his private roadmap on how to become the best — on any field of play. His use of the private story concept makes his teachings on being THE BEST universal. The roadmap is there for the taking. The only thing left is for us to IMPLEMENT.A word of warning. The street that Bo Eason takes you on is not for the weak or for the part time player. For those willing to place forth the work (and courage), this book will pay you dividends that go well beyond the cost of the it. Do it.

I first bought Bo's book on Audible to listen to while I was working out, commuting, etc. His inspiring stories , genuine belief that you were born the best and truly capable of being the best at whatever you choose, and sound tip on what it takes to create that happen have me re-invigorated to stay the long course to my huge dream. But his book isn't just another "pump up," obtain inspired, then move along and forget-about-it kind of book. His exercises at the end of each chapter push you to apply his concepts every step of the way. He won't quit on you. He gives you his best material. So I wound up buying the hardcopy too! Bo knows from lived experience what it takes to be the best at what you do, so I take his exercises seriously. This book has created it into the Top 3 on my nightstand -- the ones I'll re-read, or re-listen to every single year. We need to hear Bo's notice on repeat to stay the long course to greatness. Order this book -- you will be so grateful you did!

Life Will Be the Death of Me: . . . and you too! []  2020-1-19 23:23

Got it this morning as soon as it came out - been waiting for it to come out! My day off so I finished it in one sitting. This one is the best book yet! It’s so much more than what you think it might be. I laughed out loud at certain parts (like I knew I would) but I never expected to tear up in other parts. You did a really amazing job - thanks!

I rarely read a book in one day. Chelsea had me from the first page. I laughed, I cried (for her and for myself) while reading about her quest to have a deeper understanding of herself. Her honesty and vulnerability were refreshing and her insights created me realize I am also ready to dig deeper. A reminder that it's never too late.
