Was hesitant at first to test it due to low star reviews. But I still installed it since I badly need an HEIC converter. It turns out that this application is actually doing its job perfectly fine. Easy and plan. I don't mind the ads, this application is anyway. I guess those problems from reviews are dependent on devices that they are using. I suggest disregard the reviews and test it first.
This application is written by techies for techies. Not useful for an average user that wants to convert images and have them present in the gallery. Too poor since Google has made a need for such an application given their not good handling of HEIC files on Android. For anyone who does struggle through saving an photo in your DCIM folder hoping for it to appear in the gallery just reboot your phone and it will appear.
This application is a seething piece of garbage. Wasted time downloading this POS and now because it was such a turd, I'm wasting more time writing a poor review for it. It's so broken that it crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME when attempting to convert. Even subpar apps manage to work and perform a promised task-- but not this app! Coded by inept amateurs, it doesn't even fall into the category of subpar. Is there a category for incredibly broken POS app? If there is, that's exactly where this application belongs!
Beautiful much does what it says (I'm using a Pixel 2 & Pixel C). My huge gripe is that it allows me to select all photos in a folder to convert to heif but then crashes if any of those it selected for me happen to be an unsupported format. So I cannot really use it to run huge batches because I have mixed jpg and gif in most of my folders.
dude!! amazing application if I could understand how to obtain it to convert jpg to heic... I did it once but could not duplicate the process.... When someone hits convert ask from pick the pic to and choose format and shop it to where?.
Unable to work with files or folders on the SD Card. Yet another photo application missing a CRITICAL componet. I just don't understand how any developer could not contain this as essential. Those serious about photos almost never shop on a device. Please fix this.
