I purchased this book and I found it really helpful in reducing blood pressure naturally. What I did was to take perfect notes and practiced what I learned from this book on myself and also on a friend. The results: My blood pressure went back to normal 110/70 in one month (it was 130/80). My friend's went from 185/90 to 125/80 in one month. What helped both of us the most is the Dash Diet and the recipes in this book. Each recipe has nutrition info (calories, sodium, carbs, fat and protein). After reading this book, I discovered that we both were consuming excessive salt. Just cutting down on salt has created a difference with our blood pressure. Also the Dash diet and recipes in this book have more protein and less carbs and more is book, I am keeping as a overall reference book and cookbook all in more thing: We each are still seeing our doctors (he is on medication and still taking these at this time). I am not on medications at all. In addition, both of us monitor our blood pressure several times per is book has been a real lifestyle change and I am eating healthy and my blood pressure now shows the satisfied results!Highly recommend this book!
The book could use a true editor to catch a lot of dumb mistakes that might not be caught be all readers...thereby perhaps endangering them. On top of that, it is formatted as an e-book and could be printed in 70% less pages, making it a huge pamphlet and hardly a book at be fair, I think that there is some amazing information in this book, but also that there is a fair amount of erroneous and even false information in this tually, I feel a @#$%!&eated, but probably a lot less cheated than those who might have bought the high-priced pack of stuff available elsewhere on the internet which contain this o of a lot of errors:1. There is one "healthy" recipe in the book which declares that there is "Sodium: 18 g" in one serving of Rosemary Potato skins! It may include that much sodium... really? Seems like a lot. Or did the author intend: "18 mg"? I don't know2. A four line quote from page 54: "After all: all minerals, all mineral supplements, all electrolytes, are formations of salt with a bit of vitamin C."I am reminded to, "Be careful".
This is one of the best written book's I have read on the Dr Sebi diet. The author comes across as highly knowledgeable and well researched. I especially appreciated all the lists the author provided. There were a bunch of pictures to easily identify the list items. But, the lists were a clear method to show which foods to eat and which to avoid. Now I can refer back to that list often when food planning. I also liked the gift chapter. It is on how to switch from a western diet to the Sebi diet. I think most people struggle to create the switch to a fresh diet, and the author seems to really understand that and she sympathizes. She provides some helpful hints and suggestions.
This is a very strict diet. If you believe this method of eating will be beneficial to you, the plan is explained as well as supplying recipes. Dr. Sebi‘s background is an herbalist who believes that an alkaline diet is non-toxic to the body and will let the body to heal. Plant-based foods only are allowed, but no acidic foods.
I was surprised to read how a lot of of the foods in my diet are on the avoid list, even what I assumed was healthy foods. It was interesting to read this diet's theory on how they affect the body.
One thing I can appreciate when I am reading about fresh subjects is how well the info is presented on the pages. The author seems to have done a beautiful amazing job at explaining how this diet works. It lets you know what you can eat and you can presume from there which things you should minimize or stay away from. It also contains info on a natural method to detox your body.
I appreciate the explanation at beginning of book about who Dr Sebi actually is. Because I have been reading a lot of his books and now I know his is stocked full of helpful reciate immensely the detail that went into explaining the differences between a lot of terms associated with Dr. Sebi and his dietsFor these and multiple other reasons this book received 5 star review from this reader.
According to Dr. Sebi, who was an herbalist, you can. Dr. Sebi believes that an alkaline diet is best for the body and acidity causes disease. The diet is very restrictive to the point of not using a microwave. Dr. Sebi recommends a toxic cleanse using new herbs before starting the diet for the best results.
Amazing research went into this book on what the diet is and how it can support you obtain healthy. Well written with dozens of amazing information.
I give this book a 5 star rating because it explains Magnesium so effectively in every method as a mineral, a deficiency, a co-companion with potassium and calcium for better absorption and health benefits as well as side effects.
Opens our eyes to the critical role this vital mineral plays in our cardiovascular and indeed our overall health. Shame on the medical profession for failing to adopt it as a easy and non-invasive part of a sound health protocol. I am already taking it. This book is well-written and well-grounded in the science behind magnesium supplementation.
Can I rate the book a 6??? Why hasn't someone told us about this sooner? It all makes sense. I started taking DOUBLE my dose of chelated "Magnesium Potassium Aspartate" (Country Life - available on Amazon), and my BP went down to 114/74, and has stayed there. This is the higher dose that Dr. Cohen says Dr. Seeley used - total 1200 mg. of Magnesium per day. Amazing!I also read a lot of the medical journal articles cited, and additional Mg also helps with blood sugar / insulin control. My husband's fasting BG went down quite a bit, cash spent for a long time. Thanks, Dr. Cohen!
The book is excellent, a very simple read. I bonus my Mom and cousin with one. Most importantly the magnesium works. It's only been 4 day of taking the magnesium that is recommended in the book. My pressure is 113/78..I was taking 2 high blood pressure a day..I'm in disbelief my high blood pressure could be cured this easy. I was told it was hereditary and there was nothing I could do. I will tell my whole family about this book and magnesium!!
He speaks the truth. I saw my BP go steadily down as each day of supplementing Magnesium went by. Here I am just about 10 days into taking just about 400 mg in the morning and 325 mg at night..plus using Magnesium oil spray at night on my arms and wholla ! Woke up to 117/77 blood pressure! I am taking a low dose of beta blockers. Going to see my doc next month. Can’t wait to share my perfect results. My numbers were in the 150/110 range before even with the beta blockers. I was looking at probably having to add more meds. Nothing else worked except this! Thank you Doctor Cohen.
I read this book after my doctor prescribed medication for high blood pressure. I was beautiful sure it was the effect of a short term stressful situation in my life, and I really didn't wish to begin down the medication street with all those nasty side effects. This book really opened my eyes to the other possibilities out there for curing HBP. Along with magnesium and CoQ10 supplementation, I also ate a lot of celery, increased my vegetable intake, did some slow breathing exercises, and had an Atlas adjustment at the chiropractor's office. I truly believe it was the combination of these efforts that helped me reach a normal BP and stay there - without any meds! Thanks to this author for sharing his experiences and encouraging all of us to listen to God's wisdom about how our bodies work and what needs to be done when they don't.
If it weren't for this book my blood pressure would still be out of control. Before I got it, I went to the doctors. My pressure was 150/110 I was given an extra med and a referral. I prayer & said God it has to be a better way. I woke up and this book was there! I paid and read. The 2 medications were listed in this book. I got me some liquid magnesium and my pressures have been amazing! No more high blood pressure for me! And it can support you too!

It's always amazing to see a medical doctor take an interest in natural health issues, but there is practically no direct tip in this book. A range of magnesium intake from USRDA 400mg to 1200mg is barely suggested, with a various amount referred to each time mentioned. There is almost no explanation of the differences between and effects of different forms of magnesium except that the author finds he prefers chelated magnesium but does not even list a handful of brands, what the various forms do, etc. I am familiar with different forms of magnesium but at least if someone were not, this book could have addressed the basics. The "book" is a drawn out paragraph, all to say that if you have high blood pressure, you need to take a magnesium supplement.
I never suspected that taking a mineral supplement like magnesium could create such a difference. After only a few days I have already noticed a lessening of cramping in my calves and toes. I also feel less anxious. I believe it is helping to lower my blood pressure too, although I haven’t checked. Thanks for the book.

I read this along with The Magnesium Miracle by, Carolyn Dean MD. The info in these two books changed my life. I read copious amounts of info about magnesium and its benefits. This book has amazing info on the topic in a very succinct small book. Most people need more magnesium in their bodies and this book clearly explains why.

I have always loved Don Colbert books and these smaller versions are great- quick, simple to read, and helpful. I love the holistic approach combining nutrition, health, exercise, thoughts, and spirituality with a small bit of the medical as well. Don Colbert is an expert in his field.
Dr. Colbert is a doctor I trust and have been following him for over 25 years. When my blood pressure became high I knew which doctor I required support from and thankfully he had written this book about how to cure my problem. I took his tip and now am having no more problems with my blood pressure. Dr. Colbert is a amazing person who wants to support everyone achieve their healthy goals. Looking forward to his fresh book that releases in September about the keto diet. Highly recommend this book to those suffering with high blood pressure. Thanks again Dr. Colbert and God bless you.
Thank you Don Colbert for this educational and strong book. The insights from this book will empower me to take control of high blood pressure and educate others
I purchased this book for my husband. He has nothing but amazing things to say about the book and would highly recommend it to anyone with high blood pressure.

I didn't like this book because it is out of date, includes nothing new, and is is book seems to subscribe to the heart lipid hypothesis and some other discredited theories. Hence the recommendations to eat low fat milk products, whole grains, etc. Cutting down on fats has contributed to the early deaths of countless Americans through heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and (probably) alzheimer's disease. Its time to stop the anti fat ere are a lot of instances of irrelevant verbiage. For example the long description of how to take your own blood pressure. If you buy (or borrow) a heart pressure monitor you will have access to accurate instructions: no need to duplicate it in the book. Similarly the oft repeated incantation to see your doctor. Most people who buy this nook probably do so because their doctor cannot be relied upon. as so a lot of these days are just pushers. I know somebody who has been under treatment for hypertension for nearly ten years, and have never been advise to lose weight, take exercise, or take minerals such as potassium, magnesium etc. Sometimes the tip should be to obtain a better ch of the book is not new, and where the author could have contributed additional info or help of info she doesn't do so.

This book is a waste of reading effort... please do not buy this book. All of the info is anecdotal and readily available on the net. All of the info is primary knowledge that one hears on the national evening news and Dr. Oz show.

Though it provides a amazing list of what are all the meal types one should eat to live a healthy life, there was no doented evidence or verifiable clinical references to help the claims created for normalizing blood pressure. The info provided in this book could be readily found on the internet with the respective clinical references.

Don't buy this Book! Total Waste of time. No references, no fresh information, still believes that lowering cholesterol is a amazing thing. She's a light weight! So, if you wish to be disappointed and frustrated, go ahead and buy it. Yuck!

Stupid book. I could have written it. It spend 3/4 of the very short book just talking about what high blood pressure is, what it does and why it's poor and what the general as approach by traditional medicine has been.
“For every disease, we know, God allows an herb to grow.” For me this easy quote sums it all up and Hobbs writes the excellent book to complement it. I never knew there were so a lot of options to choose from to war disease and including what may already be in our kitchen cupboards! The author takes away the confusion of using home remedies and herbs to war sicknesses and gives us only the important detail. I didn’t come away with more questions – I actually got more than I bargained for in the answers. Exceptionally the author covers not only the why, but what oils, herbs, home remedies and recipes we should be using. I found the chapter on Colloidal silver a unbelievable search for me as I had heard of its remarkable benefits, especially for dogs, however I had never found a clear explanation tutorial until now. Hobbs presents his topic well, flawlessly written with no lack of detail. A rare, strong search belonging on anyone’s bookshelf wanting to use natural remedies to treat or prevent diseases –the method God intended.
So a lot of choices! I was so impressed by the sheer amount of natural remedies found in this book. This makes it so simple to go to a supermarket and search at least a few of these stuff in most parts of the world, I'd venture to say. The recipes look delicious as well! With each natural remedy listed, the author contains the health benefits, which are quite numerous. With the introduction of fresh stuff like colloidal silver, I'm left better educated because of this book. I've not heard of a lot of of these remedies but I will remember them the next time I go grocery ping. What I appreciated most about this read is that a lot of what is listed can be used in preventive health-care, which is the best health-care of all in my opinion. Decrease the likelihood of debilitating sickness by using what you read in this book!
A book that every house should have and for disaster preparing kit. Because if certain medicines are not available this book with the ingredience that you more then likely have in your kitchen can be a life saver.
Save your money, you can obtain better info than this book provides by doing a 5 minute google search. The "book" is 40 pages, double spaced, bullet points, full of typos.
This should not be called a book imo, it is the thinnest "book" I own & I've been collecting books since I was in grade school. It is the thickness of a magazine. I haven't read it yet because I have to allow it "air out" for a week to be on the safe side during the pandemic.
While the premise of the book is good, wherein plants and other oils can be natural antibiotics or antivirals (book also contains samples & how it is useful), I'm not sure I will actually wish to go experimenting and seeing if these work. There are also recipes in the back of the book for specific diseases that you can test to see if it works. I would say - you can test it, if your illness is not that poor or if you wish preventative measures, but definitely don't test it just to save on prescription medicines.
If you are brand fresh to the 'natural' and looking to begin research this book would serve as a brief beginning. VERY brief. I was hoping it would be detailed with dosages, etc. As other reviewers stated, everything in here is readily available on the internet. I would return this but it's not worth the hassle.

No true insight or useful information. Appears to be no more than 40 pages of regurgitated Google find data with no apparent author

This is an interesting read for anyone who is concerned with their health and maintaining that health naturally. The recipes for immune boosters and remedies for various ailments are related to some of the ones handed down in my family, The only negative thing I can say about the book is that it just was not long enough.
Oops. No footnotes, no evidence, not even a named author, just a 44 page double-spaced pamphlet with a warning that any liability is the “solitary and utter responsibility of the reader”
This is a great, very informative, short read. Hits on all of the necessary herbs and oils. Also contains recipes and exact remedies for each ailment.
It was really helpful my blood pressure went down really well while I follow the guidelines.
This book tells almost everything one might wish to know about blood pressure, and will be of particular interest to those with hypertension (high blood pressure), an often neglected condition that if left untreated can have negative health consequences and shorten life spans. The book explains normal and abnormal blood pressure, causes of hypertension (genetics, kidneys, vessels, lifestyle, etc.), side effects, individual risk factors, benefits of controlling pressure, and how to measure it. The author makes the case that hypertension can easily be managed and tells how in terms of lifestyle changes (for example, healthy eating, physical activity, weight control, limiting alcohol, managing stress, and medication). If a person lives a healthy lifestyle it may be possible to control pressure without medication. Several natural remedies have proved scientifically beneficial for lowering pressure; for example, herbs (basil, cinnamon, garlic, cardamom, etc.), Fish oil, almonds and cashews, green tea, vitamins and is is an perfect book on blood pressure control. Highly recommended.
I've struggled with high blood pressure for years and am constantly looking for fresh method to test and reduce it. While the book has all the obvious hints like don't drink too much alcohol and exercise, it is full of useful tips that I've never come across. I'm looking forward to implementing the ideas and methods from this book and hopefully reducing my blood pressure for good. Highly recommended!
“Blood pressure solutions” is a useful book that support you understand different causes of hypertension and then adopt corresponding resolve that fundamentally controls and maintains your blood t only with the above-mentioned, it also talk about main electrolytes required in our body regarding their function and implication. I was reading this book. I came to the recipe part. All thru the book it talks about how risky sodium is, what it does to our hearts...then I read the unfried chicken icken Seasoning: 1 C. salt ¼ C. garlic powder ¼ C. black pepperONE CUP OF SALT??? Are you friggin kidding me?? Glad I am a cook that knows how to do things and know what is to much..yeah watch the ingredients...other than that so far it's informative...but not worth 5 stars.
