George Foreman has produced an perfect book of pithy wisdom that can be helpful to almost anyone. It is not a boxing or sports book. It has far more substance. It tells how to avoid issues in life and how to deal with them when you face them. Foreman changed from being an admittedly selfish and self-centered man to one who has helped a lot of people and created his own life better by doing so. I was very pleasantly surprised when I read this book. It has a amazing deal of value written in a direct style. A amazing bonus book for anyone, particularly men and those facing challenges in life.
THis is a very informative and insightful read. George really has some attractive insights that should definitely be considered. Whether you are a Foreman fan or a self-help fan, I recommend you read this.
GEORGE FOREMAN'S GUIDE TO LIFE by George Foremanwith Linda Kulman is a short book (124 pages) that surprised me inall that it had to offer.I wasn't expected much from it, given that Foreman on the surfacewouldn't seem to be the ideal role model to write a self-help book . . . hewas a bully, of sorts, when a child . . . he didn't read his firstwhole book until the age of 16 . . . and he was married anddivorced four times, only to search his fifth time to be the charm.Furthermore, after he lost the heavyweight title for the first time,he became a recluse of sorts . . . he also had a reputation forbeing surly and mean-tempered, as unlikely as it now seemswhen you see him pitching products on TV or doing boxingcommentary on HBO.But Foreman has really turned his life around, and he shows youhow you can do the same . . . though much of the tip is basic, and you may have heard it before, his effective use of exampleshelps to drive a lot of of his key points home . . . as he notes inthe Introduction, "Everyone in life goes through a hard timesometime, but you can't allow that define who you are. What definesyou is how you come back from those troubles and what you findin life to smile about."There were several other memorable passages; among them:With life there is pain and still more pain, but even with it all, there is always a reason to smile: a beat of melody to create youlift your feet and dance; a piece of chocolate to sweeten upa moment. With death, as far as we know, there is no pain, only e point is I could forgive a horse for biting me, another foralmost killing me. But it seems that people can rub us thewrong method and we're through with them overnight. We canforgive an animal and keep on to a grudge for years againstanother ople only wish to hear the best about their children. That'sbecause every mom and dad feels their kid is an extensionof themselves. So pointing out their kid's shortcomings-whetherthey're physical, emotional, or behavioral-hurts because itfeels like it's a reflection on them and their success as a soon as you say something's wrong with that boy or girl, theirmother or father starts a conversation inside their head that goessomething like, "If only I were better at this or if only I had donethat, my kid wouldn't have this problem." It doesn't really matterwhat you say or that you meant well; what they hear is, "What'sthe matter with you? Couldn't you have done a better job?"

I would have given anything to have this book when I was in the throes of my infertility ol puts to words the unexplainable feelings that I had at that time in my life. I have given this book to several mates who's kids are experiencing infertility. I believe, having powerful help from your family during this time, can create a large difference. If you have anyone in your globe going through this roller coaster of emotions, do them a favor and read this book.
What an unexpected surprise to read an entire chapter on Melody and Imagery to Enhance Fertility! I am a classical musician and was eager to listen to the classical melody pieces Carol describes in Chapter 10. I have all the melody pieces she listed, and I felt the vibrational energy in my lower abdominal zone around my reproductive organs as I listened to the classical pieces of melody that Carol suggested. In fact, I was so moved by the power of melody to affect fertility that I ordered her two CD's, Enhancing Fertility With Melody And Imagery and Relax With Melody And Imagery, which are listed in the back of the back of the book under Suggested Books and CD's. I want more authors recognized the healing power of classical music.
This book was a amazing read and the info was simple to digest. It was very informative and I feel much more prepared to tackle fatigue not only at work, but in my every day life. I love how interactive it was and allowed me to critically think about specific situations in my life and how I would handle them now by applying the knowledge I just gained. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

This book is a fast read- which is essential for the target audience. It goes through the author's levels of fatigue with step-by-step tutorials on how caffeine can help you (or not) at each specific level. It's really simple to follow no matter what your background is and the science isn't too science-y to a chronic- I drink one cup of coffee in the morning no matter what kind of person, this book was able to present why that maybe isn't working for me in a method that I want. I'll be more motivated to hold decaf in the house for the mornings (I just like the coffee taste- I don't always need the caffeine apparently) and can create a few fast other changes in my lifestyle that this book outlines.Highly recommend for anyone in the fatigue business. AKA- probably literally anyone. Thank you!
This book provides informative and relatable info on what fatigue is and how we can combat it! I especially appreciated the practical step-by-step hints on managing one's fatigue with and without caffeine. As a working parent and graduate student, I appreciate this author's recognition that sleep isn't always possible and for offering sound hints on how to create the most out of my caffeine use!
What a delightful book! The author has become my go-to person on the topic of caffeine. I read her first book "Are you a Creature or a Rock Star?" which taught me everything I wanted to know about the science of caffeine and associated ingredients in energy drinks. In this book, she takes a various approach by helping us determine the status of our fatigue and how to strategically use caffeine to accomplish what we need to accomplish. I am excited by her approach and plan to more strategically employ caffeine to best meet my needs. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to know how to obtain th*ngs done at various levels of fatigue.
I was pleasantly surprised by how Danielle was about to breakdown the complexity of how our bodies process caffeine. With this knowledge I cannot walk by an energy drink stand without realizing the influence marketing has on me. After reading this book I am now able to identify the current level of fatigue I am experiencing and take the appropriate action. I highly recommend checking this as well as Danielle's early book.
I, absolutely, loved this book! I have ADD and have had to quit my medicine due to (T)TTC. When I am unable to take my medicine, my anxiety level can go through the rough. This book has helped me understand my feelings and gave me tools to support exhibit them to my husband in a more effective way. I had my husband read a few chapters and he was impressed, as well.I was a small bummed she didn't add anything about yoga either, seeing she is an instructor..but that is my only complaint! You rock, Carol Fulwiler Jones MA!
This book gave me some fresh ways to deal with the struggles of infertility. I would recommend it to the a lot of people out there trying. Amazing luck and God bless you.
Given the name of the book, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this authors second book. I thought it was going to be about drinking more and more caffeine to obtain items done and how to be safe about it, but it wasn’t. It is actually a tutorial to support you understand and learn WHEN you should and shouldn’t have caffeine. The author developed a 5 Levels of Fatigue system and discusses at which levels you do and don’t need caffeine and recommends what you should and shouldn’t do at specific levels of ing someone who has worked 2 jobs throughout most my life, whether it was 2 part time jobs and school or a full time job and part time job, or even a full time job and YouTube channel, I am someone who has always fought with fatigue and usually just increased my caffeine intake until I passed out. Eventually caffeine wasn’t even working anymore because I built up a tolerance to it. Doing research I found a method to recover from that by resetting my caffeine… but now, people can use this tutorial to support prevent these types of things from event to them in the first e book does have some science-y parts to it, but she does a amazing job breaking it down so that everyone can understand it by using daily situations and ogies. Overall, it has a small bit of everything for everyone. We have all had days, weeks, months, where we have been so busy, we weren’t sure what to do with ourselves. Understanding the 5 levels of fatigue and what to do for each one of them is helpful to everyone .

Simple to read format and to the point style makes this an effective tool in addressing a issue so prevalent in our current culture, continuous fatigue. The interactive sections and exercises let the reader to reflect on the result fatigue may play in their everyday life and how to address them. Hopefully, more people are able to read this so they can have informed conversations with their friends, coworkers, and supervisors!

While I am years past childbearing, I have so a lot of friends, and precious young women I am close to struggling with this issue. I have HATED feeling helpless to encourage them, or even to know of anything to point them toward to search hope. The stress is wonderful and it puts so much strain on their marriages and extended family as we all watch them drowning in the pain and stress -- what to do??? Now I have a resource; one that helps me understand, and I can share with them as well!! I highly recommend this to anyone who not only may be struggling with infertility, but for those mates and family members who wish to better understand and be of true help!
This is a amazing resource for those who wish to be cognizant of the relationship between caffeine and energy. Everyone knows that caffeine doesn’t really fully solve fatigue issues (ie you can’t permanently replace sleep with caffeine), but it certainly does help. The author clearly really understands this dichotomy and provides dozens of useful info broken down into “stages of fatigue.” This book is well-researched and laid out in a method that is simple to follow and read. Highly recommend!
Do you drink coffee? Are you ever tired? Then you could use this book. This book is so knowledgeable with a lot of research and resources full of tangible hints to beat e best part was learning how to listen to my body and see fatigue in a whole fresh way, that I can use it as a tool instead of a crutch; and to know when that double espresso is truly needed!

Despite A Few Flaws, A Must Read For All Women In Treatment For Infertility.I bought this book because I saw the author on TV. As somebody who cried every other day her tip comforted me greatly. I'm satisfied to report that her book was as amazing as her interview. It gave me fresh ways to cope with the emotional roller coaster I was on. While there are a few missing pieces in the book, it's a must-read for any woman who's having a hard time coping emotionally with the stress of infertility E GOOD· The tone is pitch-perfect. Warm and compassionate, just as you'd expect from an infertility counselor (apparently the author had herself undergone infertility treatment, which created her tip all the more helpful).* She addresses every situation that causes stress and despair and shows you how to either avoid, manage or resolve them. For example, she tells you what to say in uncomfortable social situations (like somebody asking how a lot of kids you have).* Throughout each chapter there are private stories from the author's infertility clients. Reading these stories created me feel like I had just joined an instant help group--that I wasn't alone, that my feelings were normal and shared by others, and that there are real, practical solutions to the typical stressors of being in treatment.* Surprisingly, there's a section on breath work. At first, I thought it was a waste but she has a convincing argument that breathing patterns are the most strong resource for changing our emotional state. She walks you through specific breath patterns to either calm or energize you. They're simple to follow and the results are almost immediate. It's possibly the best section in the E BAD* She doesn't address the medical aspects of infertility. For example, I have polycystic ovaries (PCOS). I would have liked to see more info on specific medical problems like that.* The book is fairly short. Given that she's a yoga teacher herself, I was surprised she didn't have an entire chapter, with pictures, on yoga poses for fertility.* While the chapter on passion and pleasure was more thorough than other infertility books I've read, it still didn't respond a lot of of the questions I had. Despite these drawbacks, I highly recommend this book. First, because it's the only book devoted entirely to managing the stress of infertility (as opposed to all the other books that emphasize medical treatment, diet regimens, or first person accounts). If you're feeling emotionally overwhelmed by the struggles of conceiving, you should buy this book.
This book provides some real-life, practical tip on how to face the everyday drain of battling infertility. Not only does the author/counselor provide amazing suggestions for couples going through the emotional roller coaster of infertility, it is also obvious through her compassionate tone that she has experienced that journey herself. One chapter I found especially insightful is the one on how to deal with friends' and relatives' well-meaning but sometimes hurtful comments.

I will admit that I bought this book mostly out of desperation. We had recently gotten the news that we would need to be moving on to IVF because nothing else seemed to be working. I was understandably upset and very sad that this was where we were. I felt like no one could understand how I felt. Then I read this book. Oh my! The author seems to be talking right to me. I identified with a lot of what she and her patients had felt. For the first time I felt like I was at least a small bit normal and that other people knew how I felt. The author give really amazing and practical tip on how to navigate this really tough street of infertility. My stress levels has dropped since I read the book and I'm better able to manage my feelings when they come up. This is just a amazing book for anyone that is having a tough time on the street to having a child.
This book was thoughtful and deeply informative regarding how to best manage stress and maintain a passionate, connected relationship when dealing with the struggles of infertility. Jones' expertise is unparalleled, and her help and understanding is communicated through her attractive prose. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with the a lot of difficulties associated with infertility. My partner and I are now working on staying connected, open, and communicative during this difficult time thanks to the teachings of this book. It has been transformative. Thank you.

I’m a private trainer and competitive bodybuilder who has successfully used a lot of of the principles explained in this book, for a lot of years. (Not because of the book..way before it.)So even if I agree that the principles are good, this book is very badly written, confusing, and inconsistent at times. Info and examples are often not given, where badly ere are here and there some bizarre general claims and pieces of advice: e.g., “This workout is ideal for balances out the hormones,” isolation exercises and “normal body stretches” for a amazing warmup, etc.If I was a beginner, or even if I wasn’t very familiar with some aspects of HIT, I would be beautiful confused by this book, and would search it difficult to apply it me real-world workouts.
I'm into bodybuilding, and there is a lot of info on it out there on the internet. It was difficult to gather all the info and pick the bogus information from the good. I want I had had a book like this when I was starting out, as it both lays out the benefits of high-intensity training, as well as showing exactly what to do. This is a amazing starting place, but I feel it's difficult to describe exercises as delicate as the deadlift without photos or videos, as it's simple to injure oneself. Overall, a amazing tutorial for starters.
Amazing book. Short, sweet, and to the point. I liked the specific exercises that the book gives for building your body muscle. I wasn't aware that it's best to begin with upper body training to gain balance and strength. The book explains the exercises clearly and also gives you a weekly schedule to know what to do on what days, very helpful!
This a amazing book on body building and more especially on muscle growing. My husband loves body building and does this without any guidebook on how to go about it and I thought of getting him a book so he can learn how to go about it. I came to Amazon and I got this awesome book which has been really of support to him as now he know where to work on when he require which part of muscle. I [email protected]#$%! had some picture but nevertheless it helped.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I am into body building and i love learning fresh things about it,i wanted to learn more about muscle growth so i came across this book. I love this book because it has a lot of info and small pages. I highly recommend this book
I was recommended to check out this book and I'm really glad that I did! It's an interesting read and there's some amazing info in the book. I particularly enjoyed the section talking about giant sets. From this resource I was able to learn more about rep max percentages and how to calculate them correctly which I will be able to implement into my life. It says that it will teach you high intensity bodybuilding sets and it delivers on this statement. For the price it's a amazing value. I would recommend checking this book out.
I was watching an ultimate body contest and was amaze with how they were able to achieve those bodies. I understand from this book that you have to go through high intensity training exercises which is helpful as it provided hints on what exercises you have to go through. It sounds tough for someone like me though this book will still be helpful for my son who has always wanted to have a body like this.
I bought this book for a friend. It offered a dozens of workouts for strength training and cardio as well. It also gives an ideal workout plan for the individual. The exercises are rather high intensity, and designed more for bodybuilding type workouts. Excellent if that is what you are looking for.
One of the most useful books on building muscle I have read. And simple to read, too. The princple of HIT (High Intensity Training) makes dozens of sense. More of the right type of muscle stress is what builds muscles quickly. The author is clearly an experienced body builder, and the book is packed with specific tips, also for how to plan your week to contain required rest periods. This actually works. This is a book I really recommend if you are serious about building muscle. Thanks Jonathan!

Forget about pickup lines, and other things that most of dating books told you. This book is all about mindset. An alpha male mindset to be exact. The info and wisdom contained within are raw, straight to the point and honest. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Also, feminists definitely will hate this book. I must say this book has become my bible regarding dating mindset. The only drawbacks for this book is that it's poorly written, definitely need more correction on punctuation. Also there are no page numbers. But overall, this is very strong book and I really have fun it. As a companion for this book, I also recommend a book: Alpha Male Strategies. Together, those book have revolutionize my mindset about women and dating.
A rather classy paradigm presented by the author navigating a potentially sleazy, politically incorrect, and versus the grain beliefs about the dynamics between men and women in contemporary Western Civilization. Overlook the grammar problems and focus on the vibration that the author harmonizes about how to re-channel energies, desires, and intent to accentuate for skyrocketing outcomes.
