Very informative with primary information, simple for me to understand . I don't hunt- anything but my nephews do and they loved reading this book
The book was extraordinarily simplistic and relatively boring. I was expecting something a bit more in depth with examples, illustrations and hunting scenarios .for different game.
Very short and doesn't have much information. It is a pamphlet, not a book. You could obtain this info watching 10 mins of YouTube videos.
Not a lot of fresh info thatOne does not already know from hunting with a firearm. I was looking for more info regarding the CrossBow.
Well worth the small cash if your a newbie to crossbow hunting. Only thing missing is a section on maintenance which your crossbow should of had with the assembly instructions. Amazing luck on your next crossbow hunt.
Very informative book with primary information, simple to understand ! Amazing refreshers her course for those who have been out of it for a spell, and changing to Crossbow! Amazing book!!

This well written book is full of practical advice, tips, and ideas for life now and perhaps hatder times to come. A thorough compilation of survival and Do-it-yourself means from making durable clothing to methods of meal preservaton and management of supplies, including recipes. From subsistence living to abundance abundance of means this book covers the how to's of managing a farm or home under various conditions or changing cirtances. The author uniqely presents info in a now and later or best and worst case scenario approach to the learning curve of finding fresh ways from old ways. Recipes and resouces at the end create it a terrific compendium of very useful informatiion. The section on militarizing the homestead however I thought was a bit overly long unless one finds themselves under seige, but the rest was practical with hints drawn from the author's private experience. Overall an perfect resource book that is greatly readable and should be in your library of extremelyuseful knowledge.
Not sure that we are entering a fresh ice age but this is a very amazing primer for the prepper community. While oriented to the cols times scenario the book provides a amazing deal of info for any long term survival scenario. This book is also useful for homesteaders and the self reliance community.
Complete, author tested and fairly up to commended starting point. If you know how a lot of acres it takes to feed two people with enough meal dozens to prevent scurvy and promote health then skip it. If you can live off collected & stored water then skip that part. If you know how to grow wheat, [email protected]#$%!, grind it and create bread and beer without electricity or going to a shop then skip that section. If you know how to rotate breads of chickens, pigs and cows to prevent inbreeding in the coming years then skip that section. I did not have amazing answers. While my implementation is different, the book helped me pick up where experienced people leave off.
She has a lot on what to do to prepare and some history about the cycles of the planet in terms of warming and cooling. Something very natural. Not the Gore type of "global warming" with a very easy and logical solution, which no one mentions, while telling people to obtain their nations to donate billions of dollars to some organization to "prevent it". The Gore type is easily solved by, obtain this, planting a few billion trees, to replace the deforestation that has been going on for a long time. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. More trees, more oxygen and less carbon dioxide. Lets not forget trees shop water, cool with their shade and "sweat" vapor. Hint, check what China has been doing to obtain rid of deserts (among others). I only give it a three because she misses some logical thing on preparedness, which I have been doing for decades. And not all she says I agree with, but it's a start. I'm 71 and a "theorist" since I was 16. Things that people like me said would happen during this century are happening, exactly how we said they would. As the saying goes "The devil knows more because he's old than because he's the devil."
The author is not an expert on raising rabbits. The info in this book is out of date (for example, diet) and should not be used by anyone trying to learn how to take care of the pet rabbits. There are several web websites dedicated to providing free and current info about rabbits, you will do much better for your pets by visiting House Rabbit Society, which is non-profit organization that rescues and adopts rabbits and educates the community about rabbit i Julia review
What can I say? It must have been in one of my weak moments. The picture of the cute small bunnies and a freebie Kindle book. Who couldn't resist? I grabbed it then sit it aside for another time. And found it again when inbetween fictional stories.I had hoped there would be lots of pictures of rabbits in this ebook. I love rabbits but there isn't room in our little apartment for another pet. But at least I could look at the pictures. Nope. The only picture is on the is didn't spoil it for me, though. This small book is chocked full of info about finding, care and feeding of rabbits, even a bit on breeding these small sweeties. I was quite amazed at how much there was to learn, beyond what I already knew from the rabbits we had when my adult kids were is would be a amazing book for those thinking of buying bunnies for loved ones for Easter. One needs to know what they are getting into, and there are too a lot of rabbits that end up at the animal shelters shortly after the holidays. For those who are thinking about it seriously, test the shelter after reading the book. Have the home bunny-ready with kitty litter set up. They create amazing indoor pets. Also, know the breeds so that you obtain just what you are looking for in a pet.
This book provides a lot of useful information, but is also very concise. It makes for a surprisingly enjoyable read, even for someone who is only casually considering buying a rabbit, like me. I did skip over some sections that I knew were not relevant to me. But the book is organized in a method that allows me to do that easily. If I do move to an apartment that allows pets, I will feel much more prepared to buy a rabbit because I read this e only downside is that the writing can be awkward or grammatically incorrect at times. The overall writing style is good, so with a more careful editor, this would be a 5-star book.
My six-year-old has been begging, practically on hands and knees, for a fresh pet and we recently walked by a pet shop that had several baby rabbits for sale. Talk about imprinting! The ongoing mantra sang throughout our house since then has been 'may I puh-lease have a rabbit, mom?' Knowing absolutely nothing about the care and feeding of rabbits, I thought reading up on it prior to surprising her with one would be the thing to do. I'm so glad I found this book. Chock full of information, from breeds to cuisine to grooming, "Everything About Rabbits" was a one-stop source for everything I required to know. After reading it I feel much better equipped to perhaps surprise my daughter with an Easter bonus that I know she'll cherish for years to come.Wonderful resource for those, like me, who are fresh to the care and feeding of rabbits. I'm so glad I picked it up. I highly recommend it!
There is no doubt that education is both more necessary than ever and, at the same time, suffering from a wide range of challenges, attacks, self-doubts, and crises. The Fresh Education reminds us of two crucial ideas, at least concerning higher education. First, that the current structure of higher education--the structures of disciplines, the particular ways scholarship and teaching are unequally tethered together--are historical developments. The university has been changed in profound ways before as it endeavored to meet the challenges of its world, and to take advantage of the resources that globe created available. The point is, the university can and should be changed--in fundamental ways. And second, that our understandings of the goals, means and practices of education also have and have to change, again in response to the changing demands and possibilities of the globe we live in. But more than just create these arguments--compassionately AND persuasively, Davidson provides us with a series of truly inspiring examples of people and groups that are doing something about the crises of education now. I have been teaching a long time. Since reading The Fresh Education, I have been thinking about pedagogical possibilities I had not even imagined before. If there is an academic equivalent of a page-turner, this is it.
The author has lots of experience with 4 H Clubs and a lot of years spent in breeding and caring for rabbits. Her love of these animals shines through in this book. It is a comprehensive tutorial for selecting a pet rabbit, providing a amazing home, and info on daily care. Richards divides her study of rabbits by small, medium and huge breeds, lop rabbit breeds and fur breeds. She advises waiting at least eight to nine weeks before separating a rabbit from mothers and introducing the rabbit to a calm environment. The diet mainstay should be a amazing rabbit pellet food, and owners should expect complete molting once or twice a year. Richards talks about tooth and nail care and preparing the home for a pet rabbit. Rabbits may be kept indoors or out. She explains how to build a rabbit hutch. There are hints for training a rabbit when its behavior becomes unmanageable.I would highly recommend this book for anyone considering a rabbit for a pet. All the basics are covered, and the book is simple to read for any age. Those considering professional breeding might wish to consider this an introduction, before considering advanced research.
Generally, I obtain very animated when I hear of anyone considering rabbits as pets. However, it is real the little breeds can create interesting companions.I should explain my prejudice. I and my father each raised commercial rabbits for meat, fur and medical research. Most commercial rabbit farmers will tell you that the thought of eating a pet rabbit has cost the industry lots of money. Rabbits are lower in cholesterol and fat even than chickens. Rabbit is probably the healthiest source of meat protein on planet Earth.Okay, I'll obtain off my soapbox and explain what I most dislike about Everything About Rabbits:First - It's impossible to tell everything about rabbits in a 35-page book. A better title would be, A Child's Introductionto Rabbit Breeds and Their Care. UPDATE: the author informs me she has included photographs of the different breeds, greatly improving this book to four stars, in my opinion, so I have raised my cond - as the author does state, do not feed lettuce to rabbits. Iceberg lettuce will slay a bunny. One, it has no nutritional value for rabbits (or tortoises) AND is addictive. Rabbits (and tortoises) that obtain addicted to iceberg lettuce will starve to death because they'll eat nothing else. Romaine lettuce, on the other hand, is amazing for rabbits and tortoises, especially when fed in ird - no photographs. I can't imagine how anyone, especially children, could have fun a book about rabbits with no photographs of the various breeds. And, giving info on building a hutch, or a cage, with no drawings, is a grave error that I hope the author corrects. Also, I don't think the author explained about the breeding procedure (take the female to the , what DID I LIKE about Everything About Rabbits? The book was short (35 pages) and priced at a bargain basement price, and it was written In a style and manner that kids aged 12 and above should have no serious issues understanding. For children younger than 12, this book gives an opportunity for quality time for parents and kid to , overall, I'm rating this book 4 Stars, but noting just a small effort could raise this to 5. Anyone reading this review should buy this book if none of the above objections resonates with them, especially if they think pet rabbits are a amazing idea for their child.
This book has several inaccurate statements in it and should not be used as a go to book for fresh rabbit owners or prospective rabbit owners. Any book that suggests rabbits should not be housed together when discussing pets gets a thumbs down. Spayed and neutered rabbits can and do live together all the time. It has been proven they can live happily and with no fights. Rabbits do better in pairs if they are pets.Bunny proofing a house is a must and there is a methodical method to do it to hold the house and the rabbit safe. This book doesn't cover how to bunny e book also suggests a few handfuls of grass hay everyday when the diet now suggested is minimal pellets and unlimited hay with everyday veggies. Carbs such as oats and sugars such as molasses are not suggested due to the issues with stomach issues. Rabbit feeding is a science and the science has changed, I am sorry to say this book does not have the latest diet ere are far better books and tutorials out there for soon to be fresh owners. Check with House Rabbit Society for pets and American Rabbit Breeders Association for show/breeding/meat rabbit care. This book is not in depth enough on breeds nor accurate enough for showing or pet keeping. (Rabbits are not raised for "showrooms", they are not cars. They are raised for present and are shown on tables. This is just one more example of the lack of true knowledge found in this book.)This is one of those books to skip over if you are seriously considering having rabbits, it is a small bit of knowledge interspersed with not enough concrete information.
As a fresh professor, I have a amazing deal to learn about contemporary higher education. Brass tacks: I can safely say that I am more informed about the industry's challenges, opportunities, and history after reading Davidson's book.Davidson points out the numerous and formidable challenges inhibiting higher ed. (Her tale of Alexander Coward at the UC Berkeley Mathematics Department reminded me of 'Dead Poets Society.') At the same time, though, she provides true solutions—and not just from a pedestal. Rather, she info a number of innovative programs, professors, and universities. The latter contain my employer Arizona State University, Georgetown University, and a lot of community colleges. Collectively, these progressive institutions are redefining education and providing students with the requisite skills important to succeed in an increasingly turbulent and complex s, we educators have our work chop out for us, but I am hopeful for the future.Disclaimer: Davidson's publisher sent me a copy for a Huffington Post review or interview.
This was the first book I read and was a amazing intro to parenthood of twins. It's an simple read and offers amazing hints in a very digestible and easy way. The www service is also a amazing tool. You will obtain value out of this book for sure, yet you'll need to ready a few more to really obtain a better understanding of what's about to hit your life. Amazing luck dads of twins.
We are dads that had our twins with the support of an amazing surrogate. So finding a book that discussed pregnancy from a dad’s perspective and for twins as is amazing and very helpful! If you are about to be a dad of twins, this is a must have.
All around amazing book, I bought it part method through the pregnancy so a lot of the hints were a bit redundant by the time I read it.But there were still some really amazing practical hints I hadn't read and were definitely helpful worth picking up.Just buy it right off the bat instead of waiting till part method along in the pregnancy, its definitely designed for that. It will save you time.
Having twins is a very various experience than having a singleton. This book was written from a dad's point of view on how to raise twins. My husband found it very helpful to reduce his anxiety over having to manage two babies at once. I scanned through it and the author writes in terms that "regular" people understand. When I was pregnant, there were so a lot of books for women (a lot of them very technical), but not a lot of for men. I would recommend this for any fresh Twin Daddy.
Very simple read. Not a whole lot of rambling yet not a whole lot of info that isn't in any other book about expecting a baby. if you haven't read any books about expecting than this is a amazing choice for you as a father. However if you are like me and have already read just about every other book that my wife had on the book shelf about expecting before finding this one than your not missing a whole bunch of info by passing on this one.
The things that stuck with me most in this book were two things:1. The Mom's job is to rest as much as possible.2. The Dad's job is to create sure Mom does her riously, this is what I would tell myself every day of the pregnancy. Our twins were carried to full term and spent the night in our room starting at day one.
All in all, I found this book to be only mildly helpful. A lot of it is common sense and assumes that the Dad is a very "uninvolved" person when it comes to parenting and/or shared relationship responsibilities. It gives tip to things such as "make sure you tell your wife she is doing a amazing job" and "you are going to need to be more hands on now that you're having twins" which is kind of self explanatory. Any decent husband would already know or be doing these the very least it was an simple read and maybe since this is the 4th baby book I've read and 2nd specifically about twins, perhaps I just already knew a lot of the info in here. So my opinion may have been various if I read this first. All in all its not a poor book, just nothing truly ground breaking when it comes to tip for a Dad expecting twins.
Useful review?
Short but sweet. Not a medical book but informative. This info is available for free on the net, but having it all in one put is convenient.
