Wish to know what it smells like? Think of Juicy fruit gum or a fruity bubble gum.....Strong scent. So this will be amazing in your scented products. I purchased to place in my whipped shea butter.
I'm fresh at making airfresheners from unscented aroma beads and this was the first fragrance that gave me a long lasting scent. If you like the smell of Juicy Fruit Gum, you will especially like this fragrance.
This is a uniquely charming book that shares some truly valuable wisdom. These Jamaican proverbs are so insightful and beautifully presented, including an action step. They are beyond practical and while I am not Jamaican, I can easily imagine the wise grandparents sharing these pearls of wisdom with the younger generation as my Greek grandmother did the same thing when I was a small girl. You will thoroughly have fun this read and obtain much value from it.
This book is full of proverbs. Each proverb gives the method it is pronounced in Jamaica, how it translates into English, discusses what the proverb means, and it gives suggestions for carrying out the proverb in one's e proverbs are related to some common sayings I've heard and proverbs I've never heard before. If you like reading about other cultures, proverbs and wise sayings, then you will like this would create a amazing discussion book for a group studying the book of Proverbs from the Bible using it for a comparison/contrast type of study.
Such wise words from such a rich culture! I left a voicemail on my parent's phone with some of these expressions. They laughed so hard at me and my pronounciations. I love it when my parents say these expressions out of the blue. This book is amazing for those who wish to preserve their family history and culture.
As this was my first exposure to Jamaican proverbs, I enjoyed reading this book. Reading the phonetic pronunciation was a fun exercise; it created it easier for me to imagine being on the island, and having a Jamaican grandfather or grandmother sharing their wisdom with e proverbs are short, and cover a broad range of subjects from avoiding conflict, to saving money, to measuring others by their hero rather than their outward appearance. The action steps created it simple to see how to apply the lesson of each proverb in my life. I highly recommend Wisdom From Ole Time Jamaican People to people interested in learning age-old lessons in a method that is both delightfully special and uniquely delightful.
Not really the typical Jamaican cook book. Did not see the national dishes such as: Akee and salt fish, red bean soup with spinners and curried goat. Recipes look amazing though!
Recipes are easy and tasty. Nutrition info is included although if you are concerned with saturated fat content it is not provided.
Unbelievable looking recipes. A nice variety. And as the title says, looks simple to prepare. I can't wait to to test them all!
It is not a legitimate cookbook without meal grade photosThere was at least nutritional information included,My pet peeve is that there is no organization to the cookbook. Its if the author took all ofthe recipes and threw them up into the air and wherever they landed that is where they appearin the book. You have meat recipes mixed up with dessert and salad recipes. There are no e reviewer is the author of the award-winning Kindle book entitled: Sex Education for AdultsSecrets To Awesome Sex and Happily Ever After e best review on the book is by a licensed marriage counselor who credits the book for saving his marriageThe book took first put in my category of marriage in the International Book Excellence Awards ContestIt is on the AASECT recommended reading list on their www service (American Assn of Sexual EducatorsCounselors and Therapists)
I love the jerk seasoning recipe, the West Indian hot sauce recipe and all the wings recipes Im very pleased
Amazing Outline and instructionsWas simple to read, understand, and replicate. Authentic recipes and that’s surprising because most books are American influenced. Yard style
Unlike most cookbooks, the explanations for some of the ingredients ate at the end of the book.I am lucky that I live in an zone with eight bodegas within walking distance. Of those, only two have the same ingredients sold. Most of the time, we prefer the bodegas to the two grocery stores. However, I don't think any of them dried pimento berries, which seem to be a very common ingredient. I want where these could be found was explained. Other than that, these recipes look to be some I would create often, if some ideas of where the ingredients could be located. Only that lack lost this a star. The side dish ideas were particularly welcome.
Waste of time and money. I would not choose some of these recipes to represent Jamaica. Why would you use chicken stock in a fish dish? Have you considered a vegetarian person using this book?

This is a nice title that didn't take long to grow on me. The majority of tracks here are from the 60s. But by the end of disc 2 they're well into the 70s. You seriously feel the difference between a tune from 1960 and 1970! And what falls in between is a amazing progression of styles ranging from an early ska sound to rocksteady, even to a few rhumba, cha cha cha and calypso covers (for the beginning of disc 2) then moving on to reggae hits and a more full-on 70s vibe with items like the Isaac Hayes's classic 'Shaft' or (even cooler) 'Message to A Black Man' (wait a minute, just checked the liners, that's from '64!). Then how about the groovy-ish Calypso-reggae ditty Mawga Dawg (now this one's from the 70s) or the chuggin' groovy "Poison Pressure" after that. In a word, there's a lot of diversity on this compilation, but it's all very enjoyable stuff. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love this fragrance. Makes my candles smell delicious. Has a very powerful smell. Bought some other fragrances from this bender and was very disappointed, however, this small jewel created up for it. Would definitely be buying this fragrance again.
