I use these on maple to strope my plane irons and chisels after honing on P2000 (10 micron) silicon carbide paper. My chisels are Rc 62 and these do a amazing job taking them from sharp to super-sharp and smooth cutting.I've measured the scratch pattern using an industrial microscope before and after stropping, and I can say that the 1 micron and 0.5 micron are accurately graded. If you have used jewelers' rouge or green bar chrome polish, you know it can be hard to charge the media and difficult to remove the residue. These are creamy pastes that apply easily and clean up with the wipe of a rag and maybe some e only cons are that the containers have a plastic-backed paper sticker that spans the screw off lid to container. It taked a bit of care with a razor to split the two. Also, the containers are brittle plastic and feel like they would shatter if dropped on a hard floor.Overall, I'm very happy with the product and will buy it again.
These are lapping/polishing diamond pastes for buffing hard surfaces to a mirror like finish. They do not remove material but smooth the material.I recommend these pastes for lapping optical lenses, jewelry and buffing out mirrored surfaces of satellite zone y work well as a water spot remover on glass.
Bought to polish my tungsten wedding band among other things. Tried a couple other products for polishing jewelry but they had absolutely no affect on the tungsten. Used this polishing compound 1.5 micron down to .25 micron with a Dremel at low speed and was left with a excellent mirror finish at least as amazing as when the ring was new. Also, this is probably enough to latest a lifetime and share with your friends.
This items works great, and you obtain 20 Grams of each grit which is a nice amount! This could easily latest a lifetime.I use it to strop after sharpening and coming off a Shapton Glass 30k to 0.5 and 0.25 I have never had better results in sharpness or shine. However just applying this items to leather will give @#$% not good results, it will cling to the blade/clump up and won't do much at all. To solve this issue I took my heat gun and melted the oils and it soaked into the leather, and after it dried it works remarkably well for stropping paste. This way will not work with leathers that are treated and repel liquid so if you do go for this be sure your stropping leather is porous.
Been using this instead of CrOx compounds with a change to lapping techniques for a few months now and I still have a crazy amount of paste. I might have used like 1 gram from each of them so far since December 15' and have place a mirror and ridiculously straight edge on my blades. I'll be a loyal customer for a long time!
Works great! When I received the pack three tubes were leaking and one tube didn't have a lid at all. I was not satisfied with the quality of the package! The product itself is fine.
All polishing agents were accounted for. No instructions on which to use for what the pink one had leaked out some as the cap on the hint had fallen off. A few of the other caps had fallen off too but no leakage from those tubes.
I am fresh to the globe of Lapidary but in case anyone else is too- Micron to Grit conversion is reversed. Higher grit#=finer finish--Lower Micron#= Finer finish. Example: ".5" Microns is equal to roughly 100,000 grit. This multi package is excellent for little operations like mine. Simple to store, simple to use, all around amazing buy-will buy again.
Idk, they work for me. I saw the reviews saying they dont scratch glass, and ones that should be finer "feel coarser"(lol, ok) but for 13 bucks I gave it a shot anyway. Glad I did.I use them for loading leather strops and they all work as they should. No fresh scratches are created as I progress through them and the edge gets more refined and polished as I go, so it seems fair to say, at least mine, match the grit on the labels.I've used most diamond compounds on the market, and I can safely say this set is, by far, the most cost so, I only tested the 40 micron, but it certainly scratched the mirror I tried it on.
cant review U.S.P.S claimed to have delivered it but the funny thing is, is it wasn't there. and no, no could have just taken it, it is a secured locking box . so I will instead review the postal system. well they really stars for them
This is NOT true diamond paste I've tried the 40 micron and 28 micron compounds so far and neither will haze glass or change the scratch pattern on a knife blade. This items is horrible
Because I was learning at first a lot of my plane irons and chisels had less than stellar shapes and edges. When I got my Work Sharp system I bought this wheel in the hope it would create less work for me to obtain those tools to a better maintainable condition. It did exactly what I wanted it to do better than I expected..
2nd time buying this product. It's an ultrafine powder for polishing. Best mixed with wax and mineral oil to carry it. I use it for stripping knives on leather and for polishing mating surfaces on machined parts like trigger assemblies and engine parts. Works better than any polish you can buy.
Diamond dust is the only method to go on strops! I place a my knife to obtain a small out of the bag by scooping it with my knife hint and rub it on my 8" x 3" strops. I not sure how much this is but its not much. I could probably do this 50 times per 5 grams. It spreads easily and evenly. Once treated you can use the strop a lot of times before reapplying the diamond dust. I cuts faster than any of the pastes that I have used and it doesn’t gue up the strop. Your blade glides across it like it has baby powder on it. It’s the only method to go.

These 3000 grit disks they were unusable. Instead of polishing the surface they left deep gouges in my project. It happens so quick I didn't have time to react. Don't buy these cheap desks it'll cost you more in time then the cash they save.:-((((
When not paying for premium tools, we should not expect to obtain them. I use this for fast edge restoration and preparation on hard steel hand tools. Works well for that, better than one might expect considering its low price. Will buy again it available at equivalent price when it comes time to replace.
This wheel works amazing on my WorkSharp 3000, much better than the DMT wheels. This one is quite coarse, and I use it to reface old hand plane blades that need a fresh or corrected angle. Then I follow up with the WorkSharp sandpaper discs. If you order one of these, be prepared to wait and wait and wait for delivery. They come direct from China.
Peeled off a swathe of plating the first time I touched agate to it. Also scratched up the plate so it’s completely unusable. I wish it replaced!
I've purchased and have gone through quite a few diamond plated grinding disks. I did message when I first got this one, that it was of higher quality.I've had disks in the past where the electroplating had streaked off in sections under normal use. This disk is going powerful after a weeks worth of grinding on quartzite, unikite and smoky quartz 2 hours a d quality, electroplating is solid and not wearing uneven. I'll be ordering t paid or compensated for this review.

This 3000 grit diamond disc seems to be well created and I expect it will latest with medium duty. But... initially it produced a scratch - either from contamination from a larger grit or perhaps a manufacturing issue. It took a small effort, but eventually the scratches disappeared and now I'm getting even smoothing. Comparing prices I've seen for competing products, I would buy this again - but would be more enthusiastic with a lower price. (Cost of this item @#$%!20.00... I think $15 is closer to fair).
Horrible quality. This was my 2nd one after the 1st gouged up after a few minutes. 2nd did the same. Don’t waste your money.
It works as long a you use a glass disk that you use for sand paper. It clean up nicely after use; however, it will scratch while sharping.
Wore out the first hour of use. I've ordered this once before and didnt have the problems with the 3000 grit ad I did the 600.
I got this 320 grit disc and a heavier grit as well for resurfacing wood plane blades. Whether they're old blades or brand fresh ones, they almost never present up in decent condition for fine woodworking. The discs fit perfectly on my WorkSharp machine (using the magnetic-faced glass plate), For me they work much better than the DMT discs created specially for the WorkSharp. Cutting and skew angle errors are corrected with less time and effort than with any other product I've used. I recommend the Drilax diamond discs for the preliminary steps in correcting the geometry of plane blades and huge chisels. Once that's done, the standard sequence of sandpaper discs can be used to place a finished edge on the tool.

Amazing n affordable. I’ve purchased other grit levels from y’all through eBay as well. Very satisfied they work amazing in a lot of mixtures, depending on what your polishing and on leather felt etc ie petroleum jelly, dozens of oils, Burt’s bees wax and Burt’s hand salve ( both are my favs) depend. All mix well and thoroughly even nice work

I orders several of these discs in different grits. The higher grit discs are at least usable but the 3000 grit ones are useless. The grit is not properly bonded to the plate and a single use trying to place a hone on a chisel removed it all. A complete a waste of money,
This is definitely not a 3000 grit coating, more like 800-1000. I have another 3000 grit and this fresh "3000" takes away the 3000 grit polish down to a rough polish.

so far the leader in quality verses price on the 6" diamond lap plates that i have purchased.

Useful review?
Large wide selection. Could use mesh size on tubes but conversion from microns on the internet is easy.
