Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

The case is beautiful, and I like it very much. I also have the standard (rubber/plastic) origami cover and will create a couple of notes in comparison.1. In the photo, the product looks almost like suede, with a slightly rough texture. This is an illusion. In reality, the surface is as smooth as the standard cover. I am not saying that this is a problem, but am just noting it so that customers understand what to expect.2. When folding it into stand mode, it feels significantly stiffer than the standard cover and the folds along the seams are not as sharp. The magnetic pieces do not snap together quite as firmly as on the standard cover. The effect is that when folded, the stand does not feel quite as stable as it does on the standard cover. So far, this has not made a issue for me on a practical level, and even makes it slightly easier to unfold back into cover mode. However, the difference is noticeable and I could see how some might not like it. I do not know if the same holds real of the regular pebbled leather origami covers?3. It is quite pretty, but as others have noted, the cover is VERY easily scuffed. Even if you are meticulously careful, do not expect to be able to hold it pristine. This is noted in the product description, some will probably have fun the results of this, but I felt it was worth highlighting again.4. I am opting to hold my standard cover for use on the street or outdoors, where heavier scuffs would be more likely.5. I do feel that the product is somewhat overpriced, as are most official Kindle accessories; this seems to be the rule with such products, but it is quite beautiful and unique. I appreciate having it, and feel that it gives my Voyage some true style.Update: After 2.5 years, I still love this case and it is holding up great. Has a few scuffs now, but they do not bother me at all.

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

Of course, $84.99 may seem like a stiff to for an e-reader cover, when one can a amazing e-reader for less. But this cover is for the Kindle Voyage, which every reviewer has rated the best ever made, with outstanding resolution and front lighting. After I acquired my Voyage Wi-Fi+3G, I did not obtain a cover for a while because I liked the unit's little size and light weight. But the Voyage does deserve some protection. Some of the other covers on the shop do not have a magnetic closure. The less expensive origami covers offered by Amazon I thought less attractive. But this cover is beautiful. It weights precisely what all of the other Amazon origami covers weigh, 4.8 oz. I like it because it is not a slick leather that is likely to slip out of one's hands. It is rather a rugged leather with a rougher finish, aliline leather. That means it is not evenly dyed, and will reveal marks and scratches, but that is part of the hero of this leather, not a defect. This cover works perfectly: the origami stand mechanism works better than I thought possible. The front cover is not flimsy, and the entire unit is solid protection for the Voyage. For the best e-reading experience, I recommend the Voyage with this cover.

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

I absolutely LOVE this case. Definitely a amazing addition to my Kindle Voyager, and it wouldn't feel right without it at this nish 5/5: When I first opened the case and saw it, I was a small dismayed. It had some scratches on it, and didn't look 100% new. After I took it out of the box, set it down, and noticed that just in that small action I had managed to place a small scratch on the case, I realized that it was indeed new, just very simple to scratch, I was again, dismayed. It looks tremendously cool, and smells like true leather, which it definitely is. After my initial dismay and after using the case for a month or so, most of the scratches have faded significantly. This case ages like true leather. It's TREMENDOUS. The case looks better now than it ever Aspects 5/5: The case holds the kindle very solidly in put via the use of magnets. It seats inside the case and has slight edges to hold the Kindle aligned perfectly inside. I have had absolutely NO issues with my Kindle falling out, nor have I even thought about it. The magnets are super strong. The case front flap is also held in put via magnets, but slightly weaker ones. It turns on the Kindle when you begin it, which is great. I haven't had any issues with my case coming flopping begin either. It's super nice. The method the case lid folds to be able to keep the Kindle up is amazing as well. It IS a bit difficult to learn how to fold it quickly at first, or, it was for me, but once you obtain it down it keep solid. I haven't ever had it fall over without a very deliberate push. My only complaint on this front is that you only have one configuration for standing it up. Not a huge at all, but it would have been nice to have a slightly more inclined option, just for another viewing angle.Overall, I love this case and would another in a heartbeat. Well worth the additional over the normal Origami case, and definitely worth the over some of the shoddier third party options.

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

I'm really satisfied with the design of the Limited Edition Origami cover, how it looks when attached to the Voyage (since it doesn't add hardly anything to the thickness of the Voyage), and how it feels in my hand while holding it.When I ordered mine there was a 2-4 month wait on the fresh ones from Amazon, so opted to pick up one from the Amazon Warehouse Deals that said the original packaging would be destroyed and the cover had minor blemishes. I had no problems receiving one that had a few scuffs on it since it alleviates the concern of me being the cause of any scuffs in the future. Overall, it was in really amazing quality when I received it, and I'm satisfied I didn't have to wait 2-4 months, and I saved $10 on top of that. So if you're impatient like I am, you might hold a watch on the used section for the ones that Amazon Warehouse Deals is for the cover itself, I really like how it attaches via magnets to the magnesium back of the Voyage. The auto wake when opened feature is really nice, particularly if you have unique turned off. If you have them turned on, you're still going to have to slide to unblock the device. I actually really like how the front cover flips over the top of the device and attaches to the back of the cover via magnets so that it isn't flopping about.I know a lot of people didn't like the Amazon logo on the back of the cover and were surprised it was there since Amazon doesn't present any images of the back of the Origami cover, so I've attached an photo of the back for reference. I hope it helps!

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

Overall, I really love this premium Origami cover. It looks exactly as pictured. The leather does scratch at the slightest touch; however, simply rubbing the leather with my finger has been enough to smooth away every scratch. It is highly magnetic and, thus, rather heavy. When folded back, it works very well as a stand on both even and uneven surfaces. When I do not want to use the origami feature, I remove my Kindle from the cover to read. It is almost effortless to remove and return the Kindle to its cover and this allows me to take full advantage of the lightness of the Kindle Voyage.

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

This review is for those of you who have read the negative reviews and have some concerns. The negative reviews tend to focus on the quality of the leather. There is nothing or second rate about the leather used in this cover, but it is not the smooth, polished (painted?) leather used on the standard leather cover. This leather is real, looks real, smells true and feels real. The texture is somewhere between nubuck and suede, It seems thick, but is not padded. And yes, if you scratch it, you will see the scratch. For a while. But not forever. Importantly, you should know that this leather is related to what makers of leather apparel call "distressed." It doesn't look brandy fresh because it's not supposed to. This shouldn't be considered a flaw in my opinion, but it may not be to everyone's for the origami feature and the amazon logo on the back (I suppose it could be smaller), that's a matter of private preference as well, not inherent flaws.

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

For my Kindle Fire I bought the less expensive faux leather Origami. I liked the cover. I stepped up and bought the true leather cover this time. It really is sharp looking, dresses the Voyage up a bit. I'm impressed and actually like holding the Voyage better with the cover in put than independently. I like that small bit of additional bulk in my hands. I have fairly huge hands and sometimes can obtain cramps from holding the reader. I don't experience that with the cover. I'd recommend you obtain a cover (not necessarily the leather) but a cover provides protection to a potentially vulnerable screen.

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

Every so often something comes along that just makes me happy. Satisfied to look at, satisfied to feel, satisfied to own. This is one of those rare things that fits all three.I am a large leather fanatic. I know a lot more than most people about leather. That also has the unfortunate result of my disliking almost all leather that is out there. Simply put, I know too much about it. In a way, it is a small sad. I remember my first bonded leather book, and how excited I was to obtain it, and for such a reasonable price! Now I know all about what bonded leather is, and what it isn't, and I'm no longer , when I saw this was available, I ordered it right away, even though I already had the standard Kindle leather cover, and I didn't have particularly high hopes. I was irritated that I didn't know about this one in advance, and that I already bought the regular leather one, too. The standard ver is a traditional coated leather, which is hardly leather at all by the time they are done with it. It is shaved, painted, and coated with plastic. It isn't fake leather, but it is too close to that, and it has that slippery plastic feel from the coating, along with the uniform look that happens when leather is painted with a thick coating of paint. Overall, disappointing. I guess it is better than the all plastic version, but I can see the argument versus that. It certainly isn't worth the price. I just got it because it is better than plastic (to me), and there wasn't a amazing alternative. But, now there is an alternative. And it isn't a marginally better cover in an exclusive color, it is actually really good. Like, astonishingly good. So good, I dropped what I was doing and wrote this review, because I think everyone has the right to know about this. They are calling it a limited edition. I don't know what that means, but it might mean you can't this forever. Do you have a Kindle Voyage? If so, this. Right now. Before you can'is is aniline leather, meaning that instead of painting over it, they dyed it. Painting leather covers everything. It hardly matters what is underneath, because you can't see any of it in the finished product. Aniline leather is a various story. Because it is dyed, you can still see the actual leather underneath. That means it has to be at least a certain quality. If done right, like this one is, it has a matte finish, not shiny at all, and has natural color variations at the creases. The picture of this is actually very accurate. The lighter locations at the creases are really there, and it looks absolutely fantastic. I'll add a image of mine, both front and back, so you can see that you are truly getting what you are paying for not, under any circumstances, place leather conditioner on this cover. Doing so will obliterate the lighter locations and create it all one dark brown tone. That would be a shame, because it looks so amazing out of the e back of the case is often ignored, but is a amazing subtle matte finish, with a terrific feel in the hand. I'd the case just for the improved back. It sounds odd, but the matte finish makes the Voyage much easier to hold, and feels great. It doesn't look as amazing as the front, by any means, but it looks a lot better than the shiny coating of the standard leather does have the same magnets and origami folding action as the other official cases. So, if you like that, it is there. If nothing else, it gives amazing lines to the leather, so that's a amazing thing. And, the on/off action of the magnets is extremely is isn't just recommended. If you have a Kindle Voyage, you should absolutely obtain this. Seriously, don't even hesitate. It really takes the Kindle to the next level. You will look on it with pride every time you see your Kindle. That's worth a lot!Sean P. Logue, 2015

Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage []  2020-5-22 18:1

I just got this thing after being starry eyed about it for about a year. The overall feel is that this is quality. It smells like an old leather gun holster or horse saddle, but holds your Voyage. The leather is of amazing quality, well "tanned". Has no leather flaws or flaws in the plastic, microfiber, corners, bends or magnets. The magnets are strong, no lackluster keep there. I bought this with 50% my money and the rest with birthday bonus cards. I would say that I love this cover in every method except for one thing: the giant "Amazon" advertisement on the back. I really [email protected]#$%! just said "Kindle" like some of the old school stuff. It might as well say "Walmart". Not for quality, but for how it deeply cheapens the attractive back of this case. "Kindle" would have been perfect. I almost feel like Amazon should be paying me to advertise. So that being said, I would rate this thing at 7/10 simply because the ugly Amazon imprint impacts an otherwise attractive piece of art. This alone, I think Amazon should be this for $55. $85 for no back advertisement.

    1) Stunning aesthetic. A nice weathered, classic look to wrap a fine electronic device.2) While I don't require the origami stand, I must say it works quite well. Nicely designed. Very sturdy.3) I appreciate the magnetic closure that also turns the Voyage on and off.4) BUT MOST OF ALL: I love how simple it is to take the Voyage in and out of the case. Excellent for my habits as I tend to prefer reading without a case, but wish protection when throw the device in my backpack. Prior Kindle cases were very difficult to remove, and sleeves don't usually teh same protection as a flap-style cover.TIP: Check the Amazon Warehouse for these cases. That means they're prior returns, but that's ok by me because I saved around ten bucks by getting a "used" product (which was perfectly fine, by the method --luckily leather is meant to look a small worn).

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Blue []  2019-12-21 18:1

I hate this cover. When I begin my Voyage, I feel like I'm peeling the cover back. The folds flop around constantly and when closed the cover doesn't always align. While reading in bed, one-handed, the Kindle has come out of the cover several times (!!). It is not a tight fit at all, unlike the unbelievable Kindle Paperwhite leather cover. Plus, although it's a minor annoyance, the power button cannot be accessed unless I close or lift the cover. Seems like that is something s, if I wish to read while I'm eating lunch, then the stand is great. However, that is rare enough to create the seemingly ill-planned features my opinion, this is an epic fail. For something that costs this much, I'd expect a better quality cover.

I am a die hard Kindle user and I referred this cover despite all the negative reviews.I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like this cover. It is very light; the Magnets do a terrific job of keeping it secure in the cover yet it's simple to remove. I like that it folds back steno notebook style; I use it with one hand by holding onto the back and draping the cover flat over my e best feature is the built in stand. It holds my Kindle at just the right angle for reading while sitting at a e leather is nice and the color is a dark rich red but not a burgundy purple l in all I think it's a amazing case for my Voyage and I am sure it will latest a long time.

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Black [Book]  2019-12-6 18:5

NOTE:The video is meant to present the the method the cover works. It's quite easy - the person doing the folding was doing it only for the second time when captured on video. The 'other Kindle' is a Paperwhite.____________________________________________________The cover arrived one day before the Voyage so we had some time to learn the Origami art. Not a lot to learn, really :) You flip the front cover over the top and you can keep your Kindle in your hand and read. Or you fold the bottom in a predetermined method and... there it is, you have a stand and it's magnetically held together and it's all very, very nice, thin, light and pretty. It better be, because this cover is far from 'cheap'.Speaking for myself, this is the best Kindle cover I've ever experienced and, being an active Amazon reviewer I had a possibility to test quite a few Paperwhite and different Kindle smartphone covers in the past several years. I like it/love it because:* it's light* it's thin* it's durable* it's simple to change it from any to any of its three configurations* it's covered in genuine leatherThe Origami provides amazing protection versus blows and scratches but maybe not so match versus drops because it lacks padding. I must admit, I did not drop my Kindle so maybe I am wrong on this one. The cover holds itself closed magnetically when closed and, when closed, you can access Voyage's own ON/OFF button on the back through an equivalent button on the back of the cover. I don't believe that button will see much use though because the Origami actually turns on the Voyage when you begin the cover and turns it off when you close it. The Voyage itself simply magnetically attaches itself to the cover (strong magnets) and stays there and the 2 become one body. It takes about one second to complete the 's five stars because I absolutely love it and I am unaware on anything better.UPDATE (added it to the FAQ): since 'weight' seems to be a concern, I placed the Voyage with cover on a kitchen scale. It weighs 10.9 oz (309 g) Since the Voyage itself weighs 6.3 oz (180 g), the cover's weight is 4.6 oz (129 g). Clearly, the cover adds to the weight because it can't be weightless but it doesn't quite 'double' it.____________________________________________________THE FAQQ: What makes the Origami different?A: The front cover can be folded to make a reading stand.Q: How hard/easy is it to configure the cover into a reading stand?A: Once I learned how to do it, about 2 seconds? It took me 2-3 tries to learn it.Q: Can I adjust the viewing angle while in a reading stand configuration?A: No.Q: How massive is it?A: The Voyage with cover weighs 10.9 oz (309 g). Since the Voyage itself weighs 6.3 oz (180 g), the cover's weight is 4.6 oz (129 g).Q: How protective is it?A: It's what appears to be leather-covered hard plastic. It should provide amazing protection versus scratches and blows but there is no padding so I'm not sure how amazing it is on drops.Q: Does the cover begin like a book?A: No. You flip it over the top. More like a Steno book.Q: Does the front cover once open, keep itself versus the body?A: Yes, it stays magnetically attached to the back.Q: How do you attach the Kindle to the cover?A: The Kindle is held into the cover through powerful magnets.Q: Does the cover turn the Kindle ON/OFF once opened/closed?A: Yes.Q: Is there a method to access the Power button on the back of the Kindle, once the cover is attached?A: Yes, there cover itself has a button that, when pressed will in turn press the Kindle's own.

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Black [Book]  2019-12-6 18:5

I've had this cover in red now for almost a year. I use my Kindle everyday for multiple hours a day. So the cover has gotten a lot of use. I love the style of the cover. The origami stand works very well. I use it when I go obtain my nails done. I love the flip top with the magnets that keep it together. It's light and not bulky. I have only one issue. I got the Genuine Leather thinking it would keep up longer. Well it's held up, it just looks stained where I keep it at the bottom. It kind of fades from the beautiful red to a muddy black. The nice interior cover that protects the screen, has really gotten ugly because that's where my hand goes when I flip it to read. I'm not sure there's anything to do about it. I guess it's a beautiful minor problem, but I don't like that it's not the attractive red cover that I $60+ for.

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Black [Book]  2019-12-6 18:5

I picked up one of these in the Amazon Warehouse for a significant discount...and it was rhaps my favorite thing about this case is that it magnetically attaches/detaches from the Voyage. I hate snap cases that act as a powerful disincentive to read sans case because they are more frustrating to remove the device repeatedly, a lot of times a day sometimes. Not so with the Origami leather case. I was disappointed to learn the 2019 Oasis lineup did away with the magnetic cases, in favor of snap cases. Don't those snap cases conquer the ergonomic "grip" design of the Oasis? In any event, this leather ver feels so much better in-hand too. Like a leather bound hardcover.I've found the viewing angle when the stand is engaged is amazing for a lot of positions, whether I'm lounging on the couch, bed or at a desk. It also helps to rest my index fingers on the "kickstand" portion if I wish to keep it freehand too. People who complain about the lack of adjustable reading angles are wrong and being too e sleep/wake feature works well. No problems yet. If I had one critical thing to say about this case, is that it requires an adjustment to begin it up-and-over like a stenographers pad rather than as a book, as most cases open. Very minor quibble since I tend to like keeping it begin and propped up to present those nice screensavers.I hope Amazon's design squad abandons snap cases in the future or both and lets us decide.

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Red []  2019-12-31 18:1

UPDATE 12/25/17: Even though I have since purchased the fresh Oasis model Kindles (both of them, go figure), I still continue to use my Voyage for reading when I'm eating alone in a restaurant and wish to prop up the Kindle for reading at the table. This leather origami case is my favorite Kindle case, and it makes my Voyage the Kindle I still prefer to use for reading while sitting at a table. The leather origami case has worn very well and shows few signs of age or wear even though I've now used it for over 3 years at this MMARY:------------► Pros:- high quality materials and appearance- built-in 'origami' stand provides very solid help when reading- simple to install and remove Kindle from the cover- activates the Kindle 'auto-on' or 'auto-off' when opened or closed- slim - does not add significant bulk to the Voyage► Cons:- expensive- some users may prefer the 'book' style cover rather than the top-hinged origami design- because the charger plugs into the Kindle at the bottom, the cover cannot be used to help the Kindle for reading at the same time it is plugged in to be recharged, a minor inconvenience► Overall: For my usage, I consider this to be a terrific cover, beautiful and I expect it to be durable, and very cleverly designed to keep the Kindle while still easily removable. The 'origami' stand is simple to use and works very wellADDED COMMENT 2/17/15: After using this cover for several months, I like it a lot. I'm used to the folding feature and like how it props up the device, and I don't miss the style of my previous PaperWhite cover that opened book-like. I will say this, though - the Voyage is held in the cover by magnets, and it will slip from the cover fairly easily. I've dropped it a few times (with the cover open) and had the cover come completely off. It is a very sharp looking cover, the quality is very high, and I think it provides very amazing protection when closed. I'm completely happy with it. I would it TAILED REVIEW:----------------------► AppearanceTo start with, this is a very various design in a couple of ways from any other case I've owned rst, unlike a lot of cases for Kindle readers and other tablet-like devices, the base of this 'origami' cover does not fit so snugly that once installed it is difficult to is cover is not like that. Simply put the Kindle Voyage into the base of the cover, and it immediately locks into put magnetically. It is held very well, but if you wish to remove it from the case, it can be pulled out very easily. Nice! And as I said, very various from any case I've used cond, this cover hinges at the top, and you can either fold it backwards, flat versus the reader, or you can use the 'origami' folding feature to fold it so that a stand is created. It takes a couple of practice folds in to become familiar with this 'origami' style fold, but after a minimal amount of effort you learn how it is done, and it works perfectly. It is all held together with magnets and the effect is a very sturdy and solid stand. I am impressed by how well it all works.I was a bit hesitant in ordering this 'origami' style cover, because I've always been used to covers that begin like a book cover, and I really didn't know if I would like this. What I should have realized is this - with my Kindle Paperwhite Leather Cover, when I use my Paperwhite while eating or at a desk, I would always end up propping it up with something in to place it at a comfortable angle for reading. With this cover design, that is already provided for. It's a better design for my needs, in other e stand can also be used to help the Kindle Voyage in either Portrait or Landscape h of those aspects of this cover have become more appealing to me after using it for a few days (this comment added in later edit to the review).► Materials and QualityI like the quality of the materials used. The exterior of the cover, both front and rear, is a textured leather, and it is very well created and looks great. No stitching is used, the leather is attached to the frame of the case and there are no detectable gaps or seams. The inner surface is microfiber (this is the surface that sets on the screen of the Kindle when the case is closed), and it is also very well done. The Amazon logo is embossed in the case, both in the rear leather of the case, visible when closed, and in the microfiber inner surface which is also visible when the case is opened and either folded into the stand position, or folded back. The case also incorporates a button that is placed directly over the 'on-off' switch of the Kindle, so that you can power-up or power-down the device with the case installed. The cover also activates the auto power-on or power-off when the case is opened or closed.I have the red color, and it is darker and less of a 'fire engine' red than the pictures here create it appear. I like it, but some might search it disappointing if they had wanted the brighter red as shown on Amazon.Long term durability will take time to be known, but I can say this about Amazon covers. I have used the Kindle Paperwhite Leather Cover with my Kindle Paperwhite (first generation) for a full two years, and it still looks amazing and is in excellent shape. That was an expensive cover as well, but I've never regretted the purchase. I don't beat up my devices, and I don't carry them around in backpacks or purses, but I do use my Kindle outside of the home quite often, and so the cover is place to use constantly. And since that earlier Amazon cover has given me amazing service, I have the same expectation for this one and was willing to spend the on it from the beginning.I also was influenced by the fact that because the Kindle Voyage is a more expensive device, and I didn't wish to take chances with any drops or other mishaps, I was willing to spend the for this more expensive cover.► Weight added to the KindleThis cover does add bulk and weight to the Voyage, and for some users that may be significant, but I found it to be minimal. With respect to weight - the Voyage itself weighs 6.3 oz, and the cover adds another 4.8 oz. That would seem to be a beautiful significant addition, nearly doubling the weight of the Kindle, but after all the Kindle is beautiful doggone light to start with, and the device with cover attached is still beautiful light weight. I can easily keep it in one hand and read for a long time without discomfort. I will also mention that I've tried lighter covers on my Paperwhite, and have always returned to the Amazon cover because it does provide greater protection (the Amazon cover for the Paperwhite is bulkier than this Voyage cover, too). With respect to bulk - after living with this cover for a couple of weeks (I write this as an edit to my review, writing on 10/30/14), I've come to realize that the cover is very slim and nice, and I like it even more after using it for a period of time. I have not ever felt that it created the Voyage too massive or NCLUSION:----------------I've been debating whether or not this cover deserved a 5-star rating, or should be given a 4-star, not because of any quality or design deficiency, but because it is admittedly beautiful doggone expensive. It's a judgement call, and a lot of people will think that this case is simply too expensive, but on balance I've decided that given the quality of construction and materials, how well it fits and works, that it is a amazing value even at the Amazon charges and it deserves a 5-star rating. I realize that not all customers will feel it is worth the money, but for me I'm , I like it, but there is no denying that this cover is expensive. The Voyage has just been released, but there are already a amazing dozens of other covers available, in all kinds of styles and colors. I can't claim that everyone will agree that this cover is worth the additional ten or twenty bucks (or more) compared to other covers. I can just say that it looks great, and I'm satisfied with it myself. And Amazon does the same design cover, but created from polyurethane rather than leather, at a lower (see Amazon Protective Cover for Kindle Voyage. The color selection is a bit various from the colors offered for the leather cover as well. Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Red []  2019-12-31 18:1

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Blue []  2019-12-21 18:1

I was looking around for a amazing case for the Kindle Voyage. I wanted to steer clear of anything created with PU leather (since my MoKo case for my Samsung smartphone starting peeling away.) Decided to shell out the additional for better material and went with Amazon's very own leather Voyage case. I would have given it 5 stars, but like all other reviews, be very careful using this case. When I flipped it open, I was expecting to hear some sort of sound that would alert me that the Voyage was now snapped into is case does not do such a thing. I believe that the Voyage is only held by magnets that are integrated into the back of the case. I've read the other reviews of people having nasty accidents with their e-readers falling out and getting ruined around the corners and such. And in my head, if dropped at a reasonable height, I feel like the Voyage could just fall out of the case and obtain some true amazing hurt done to it. (I only state this because I am beautiful clumsy.)But overall, I do like the look and feel of the case. It's not a bright red as seen on the main pictures, but I was looking for something more noticeable in the sea of black everything that I own. I just have to be additional careful :D.

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Black [Book]  2019-12-6 18:5

Allow me begin by saying I loved this cover when I got it. I know the edges aren't fully covered and some worried about scrapes and scratches from the less than full coverage and the method magnets keep it in place, but I've never had a issue in the past year I've had it - zero scrapes and it's never fallen out once. It's and I love the method it folds back so I can sit it down in bed or at the ere are a couple disappointing things, the first a minor inconvenience. First, when the cover is flipped back, it covers the power switch so in to turn it on an off you either have to begin it back up or flip the flap closed. I didn't realize this would bother me, it seems so obvious that if you were done and wanted it off you'd just flip the cover closed anyway, but for some reason there's a lot of a time where I wish to turn it off but just because I'm stepping away for some reason and I wish it to stay standing. Like I said, minor inconvenience, really not a create or break kind of thing. But, here's the second thing, I'm a year into owning this case and the magnetic on/off feature isn't really working anymore? The top flaps sort of slides around nowadays and half the time when I begin it to begin reading I realize the screen is still on from when I closed it a few mins ago. I'm not sure why this is, it's just a magnet, but it's definitely weaker/less responsive to the magnetic closure than it used to be.Overall, a amazing case and if the magnet had just held up, it'd be 5 stars, but for something I $60 for, it should keep up for well over a year.

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Blue []  2019-12-21 18:1

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Blue []  2019-12-21 18:1

I don't have that lower priced cover and haven't seen it, so I would recommend reading the reviews on Amazon if considering it).

I love my Voyage but the origami case is a dud. Very heavy, does not begin like a book and is just not comfortable to use. Not sure why they thought it was a amazing idea to create it fold up so you could stand your kindle on a table top. Who does that? I actually replaced it with a faux leather book style cover I got for like $15 (also on Amazon) and I like that one a lot better

Amazon Kindle Voyage Leather Origami Case, Red []  2019-12-31 18:1

If you released a herd of bucks for the Voyage, this is the cover you want. Yes, more than 300% pricier than competitive products, but this is the protection solution created by Amazon specifically to protect your ployed, this case seems to have substantial protection without loosing the slick n slim feel and page navigation features built into the Voyage. A bonus, the cover adds functionality by automatically turning on the reader when you begin it and off when you close it. Like playing with the refrigerator door to see if the light goes off when you shut g is the innovative origami cover that doubles as a book stand. Another feature I like is that the cover is simple to remove so I can read without the additional bulk. I have the standard book cover covers on my other kindles, which gives them a book feel but increases the size while limiting functionality (see photo).Removing one star for the price, which adds more than 25% to the cost of an already expensive product.

You won't regret it!Update - I was running after the bus and my kindle fell out of my jacket pocket and got run over by a car. You can see the tire tread in the photo. Still works! Limited Edition Premium Leather Cover for Kindle Paperwhite - fits all Paperwhite generations prior to 2018 (Will not fit All-new Paperwhite 10th generation) [Book]  2019-11-21 18:1

I have been watching this for a while on amazon waiting for the to drop and it finally did. At $59 it is still a bit pricey, but I do feel it was worth that. I have always appricated true leather covers on both my Bibles and other books and as much as I use my Kindle wanted that same look and feel. This cover does not disappoint, it is a brushed leather texture, not a smooth shiny one. That is what gives it the more worn look with wear over time, like an old ease read the description below, it is designed that way;"A fusion of soft, premium textured leather......Crafted from premium natural leather featuring a ruggedly smooth finish - the classically styled aniline surface will wear and patina naturally with use, making each individual cover unique"I was surpized to read a review saying this was not leather, Yes, It is most definitly true leather, and it smells like it too! Some have complained about the scratches that form on it, Yes, it does tag up some, but again that is because it has a leather finish, and to me that adds to the look of it. Again, please read the discription it does say the leather will present wear making each one unique. (It is supposed to, I don't think some reviewers read the description before buying it) I have noticed if you take a damp paper towel and wipe down the lighter scratches some of them will mostly go away; however, mine is marked up from being in my work book bag, but I think it looks great, like an old saddle. If you wish one that won't tag I would suggest the original leather kindle case that has a more smooth shiny finish. I have one of the original leather ones on my Kindlefire and it is nice, but I do prefer this one on my kindle reader. The edge is thick rubber and better quality than the plastic edges of my latest aftermarket cover and protects the Kindle well. The metal clasp is nice quality, riveted on well, and closes nicely to the magnet and puts the kindle in sleep mode. The case has stitching around the edge binding the leather to the cloth backing and it has some kind of hard board or plastic that is in-between the leather and cloth stiffing it , it is of amazing quality and I am sure will latest a lot of years. Probably will out latest the Paperwhite itself. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

This leather cover is excellent for the Kindle. Very well made. The stitching is tight with no fraying or knots. The Kindle fits tightly and perfectly into the case. There are no 'straps' and no possibility that your Kindle would "fall out", even when dropped ... based on experience. Just a comment for those who haven't had or handled leather products in the past. Leather is soft, it can be marked up easily. If it get's wet it will obtain 'darker'. If you place oil on it to create it water repellent, it will darken and never return back to it's 'original' color. The natural oil on your fingers will darken the leather and create it 'shinny' much like the corners of a well read book. It feels unbelievable in the hand like a well worn baseball glove, and yes, it smells like leather. The picture provided shows my Kindle after countless hours of reading and travel. It goes with me everywhere. Highly recommend.

Upgrading from my Kindle keyboard to the fresh 2015 Paperwhite and and decided to "go all the way" on the of a cover. So glad I is necessary to know how this item is supposed to behave to scratches and normal wear. A lot of reviewers seem to miss this fact or don't understand the type of finish applied to this leather. The leather is treated for an aniline finish, meaning that the leather is treated, but not protected by the finish like typical leather products. The cover shows wear VERY easily, so be prepared for that - it is supposed to be this is is exciting and terrifying at the same time. I am thrilled to see the eventual patina and wear that will give my cover it's future look, but at the same time, I wish to create sure that I don't rest it on a wet spot or have someone sit a glass on it...yeah. I will be even more mindful of this than I would the regular cover for this very reason.Just received my 2015 Paperwhite and it fits perfectly. The unit sits inside the cover very securely, and rests even within the border, so you don't have a weird rise or drop around the perimeter of the e perimeter of the case is a softer rubber feel, like a protective bumper for your device. The inside of the case is a fabric that also protects your Kindle from e magnetic flap also turns the Kindle on and off as advertised, such an improvement from the Kindle Keyboard power switch I am used to. I highly recommend this product for your Paperwhite!

I can't say how much I love this case! I had the amazon 'regular' black leather case for several years and when it was time to replace my Paperwhite, I thought I would splurge a small pick up this case. What a amazing decision that was! Here are my impressions:Form:The look of this case reminds me of an old leather book I would see at my grandparents home when I was a child. The leather is not the hard(ish) leather that you obtain with the 'regular' Paperwhite case. It is a softer leather that feels slightly padded. It does seem to scratch/mark easily but in my opinion that adds to the charm of the case - I like the look of a well worn and much loved leather book. I've seen other reviews where people say this is by design, but personally, not having been a part of the design process I have no idea what the folks at Amazon were thinking. I just like the method it turned out! Over the past few months I have been carrying this around in my work backpack and reading over lunch. I also read in the evenings and in bed. The leather has a few scratches and dents and has also started to develop its own patina from the oils on my hands/fingers (and the occasional coffee spillage). It gives it a very individual look and I am even able to tell the difference between my Kindle and a ction:This functions just like the 'regular' Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Leather Case. It shuts the Kindle off when the cover is closed and turns it on when the cover is opened. It protects the screen from scratches and dust. The Kindle fits snugly inside the case and it helps protect it from short drops. I've knocked mine off a 3 foot table as well as off the top of a full size pick up. While I don't recommend doing this on purpose, both times the Kindle had no nclusion:If the only thing that necessary to you is protection for your Kindle, you should probably consider getting the Amazon plastic cover. If you are looking to obtain a nice case that performs well, looks amazing and can quite possibly enhance the reading experience then you would do well to consider this case.

Comparing the actual case to the picture I can see why some people have been disappointed. It's not that the quality is bad, it's just that the leather finish is various than what people might expect. From the picture you might expect a cover of something like marbled leather underneath a delicate satin sheen. What you get, however, is entirely various but attractive in it's own right. You obtain soft, unbelievable smelling leather in a finish that looks vintage almost as soon as you remove it from the case. Yes, it shows scratches, but yes, they can be buffed out. The leather felt a small dry when I first got it, but an app of Bickmore Bick 4 helped moisten things up a bit. Further applications might be even more beneficial. My Kindle has been banging around in my backpack for a week now, and for the first time today, the leather had more scratches than I really wanted. A fast once-over with a horsehair brush brought things back under control. Frankly, however, we both know that I'm not going to hold brushing this case. After the novelty wears off, I'll just leave it alone and allow it do the whole patina thing. Functionally, the cover works great. The Kindle sits in the case very securely, and it puts the Kindle to sleep and wakes it as promised. The inside of front cover feels like some kind of sturdy fabric, and it feels amazing and natural in the hand. I haven't noticed any hand-sweat. I like this case. It looks rugged and interesting, like a courier's satchel or something. I'm willing to accept the argument that it may strike some as a particularly masculine cover, but I think it would appeal to both sexes if they understand what they're getting. They're not getting buttery leather, they're getting earthy leather--if that makes any are some pics.

Do you like nice natural leather products and love holding your Paperwhite? Then this is a really well created (and expensive) case you should other reviewers mentioned, this case has a natural finish (not suede) that shows marks easily (see my image how it shows "a to z" via a fingernail). If you're not fond of patina, take a look at the standard Amazon leather cases which have a very tough treated texture (the yellow case in some of my images). Or opt for one of the inexpensive paperwhite cases ($10 Fintie case shown in my multicase images with a very dark brown color below the yellow case). In my opinion, the $40 Kindle leather case's leather feels the same as the obvious plastic "pleather" of the Fintie case. Just be aware that the inexpensive Fintie (other brands too?) cases don't provide as much drop protection as the Amazon Kindle branded cases (see my image of the case interiors and edge profiles).Amazon claims this is their lightest case. On my kitchen precision scale (second measurement created in grams): Premium Leather Case: 4.8oz (135g) Amazon Kindle Leather Case: 4.9oz (140g) Fintie case: 3.1oz (87g)Lighter yes, but by a negligible amount. Fintie case is noticeably lighter with its super thin edges and minimal drop weight with 2014 Paperwhite inserted into this premium leather case is 12.1oz (343g).I personally thought the leather on the case looked dry. After making the "a to z" tag on my case (see photo), I applied saddle soap to the top of my case. (see image that shows the darker cover with saddle soap rubbed on it and the untreated back of the case). Message how the "a to z" tag has almost completely disappeared. My latest image shows how the saddle soap darkens the case, making it a darker walnut brown color. While the case can still easily be scratched, 50-75% of a light scratch can be rubbed out easily and quickly with a finger now that the leather is more moisturized. If you wish to experiment with saddle soap (or other leather care products), create sure you try only a little part of the case first and ensure you like the result.

You will either love this leather Kindle Paperwhite case, or you will not.— LEATHER —This attractive leather case is exactly what it's meant to be. There are some that thought this wasn't a amazing case and returned it; they didn't understand what they were buying. This is aniline leather—a type of leather that doesn't cover the surface with a topcoat paint, this means the leather retains its natural surface grain and texture. The design reasoning behind this choice was so that the leather could patina over time. What you see in the product images is what it looks like, new. Over time, scratches, dents, and bruises are *supposed* to present on it, that is what gives your case life, *that* is what gives it character. Each case will end up looking special over time.— FIT —The black plastic is form-fitting to your Kindle Paperwhite, not wasting a single millimeter of space. Your Kindle is secure and protected when closed because of embedded magnets in the cover, and you won't have to worry about cracking the screen or back. If you take care of your Kindle, you could easily it for a decent return and make batter to a future model.— SUMMARY —This is a attractive premium leather case, and I love how mine looks now. It's certainly been through some exciting reading adventures [see photos]. This case also makes a amazing bonus for people that treasure old books that read on fresh technology. Highly recommended.

I'd been coveting this for a lot of months and finally bought it when it was temporarily on for 25% off.I have owned the the regular Amazon leather Paperwhite cover Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Case - Lightest and Thinnest Protective Genuine Leather Cover with Auto Wake/Sleep for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, Onyx Black in a couple various colors. This Deluxe paperwhite cover is much nicer. It's only slightly lighter, but the leather is MUCH better. The leather of the regular Amazon leather Paperwhite cover looks and feels in comparison. The deluxe cover's leather looks and feels like true leather. On the other hand, the regular Amazon leather paperwhite cover is much cheaper (though still expensive), more durable, and comes in lots of colors. The Deluxe one only comes in brown.I'm reluctant to recommend the Deluxe cover for a couple rst is the cost: It is almost never on sale, and the regular is literally half as much as the Paperwhite itself. If you plan to hold your Paperwhite for a lot of years, you'll obtain your money's worth, probably. But I like to make batter to a fresh Kindle every other model, about every 3 years, and whatever I spend on cases is usually lost when I cond, the color and appearance of the Deluxe case are a bit various than shown here in the photos. When mine arrived and I first opened the box, I was disappointed in the color, which is darker and less vibrant than shown in Amazon's images here. Some users have included pictures in their reviews, which is ird, as almost everyone else has said, this leather is and easily accumulates scuffs and scratches. Now, as a true leather product, this is to be expected, and you can hold it looking nice with the occasional app of saddle soap or leather conditioner. So I wouldn't allow this deter your urth, it is only slightly lighter than Amazon's regular leather Paperwhite cover, which I think is too ere are a couple other options. One is the regular Amazon leather Paperwhite cover for $40.Or you could go and obtain a Fintie or Omoton cover, like this one (which I also own): OMOTON® Kindle Paperwhite Case Cover -- The Thinnest and Lightest PU Leather Intelligent Cover for All-New Kindle Paperwhite (Fits All versions: 2012, 2013 and 2015 All-new 300 PPI Versions), Brown Map. The Fintie and Omoton covers (which are virtually identical to each other in every way) come in lots of colors and designs. They are MUCH lighter than the $40 Amazon leather Paperwhite cover. They are not true leather, but they look approximately as nice as the $40 Amazon leather Paperwhite cover. The only downside is they are less protective and frankly won't likely latest as long as the Amazon cases. But I'd either go with the options or the Deluxe. The regular isn't much nicer than the options and it's much inferior to the Deluxe.

Limited Edition Premium Leather Cover for Kindle Paperwhite - fits all Paperwhite generations prior to 2018 (Will not fit All-new Paperwhite 10th generation) [Book]  2019-11-21 18:1

It took me a long time to embrace the whole Kindle idea and finally one. I chose this limited edition cover to protect it, and I'm so glad I did.I'd never heard of aniline leather, so I looked it up and this is what I found: "Aniline leather is a type of leather dyed exclusively with soluble dyes without covering the surface with a topcoat paint or insoluble pigments. The resulting product retains the hide's natural surface with the 'grain', i.e. visible pores, scars etc. of the complete original animal's skin structure." - WikipediaThe cover has a slightly rough finish and yes, it does scratch easily. It also heals beautiful easily. Over time the oils in your hands will seep into this leather to give you a special patina. I just test to hold in perspective that I bought this cover to protect my e cover has a magnetic clasp that is simple to begin and close. I really wanted a cover to place my Kindle to sleep when I close it and wake it up when I begin it (now I just have to obtain rid of the advertising). My Kindle fits snugly inside with no danger of falling out. The inside fabric is like a thin, dark denim.I'm very satisfied with this cover. I hope you have fun my video.

Kindle Oasis Premium Leather Cover [Book]  2019-11-19 18:1

Having had very amazing satisfaction with multiple previous (Amazon-branded) leather Kindle covers, I was somewhat reluctant to this one, not due to price, but rather some of the other unfavorable reviews and photos. I was prepared to send back if not as advertised. In fact, when this fist arrived, I wasn’t sure it was really the correct case based on some of those reviews and photos. HOWEVER, … I was not only PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, I am DELIGHTED with the quality and obvious engineering thought that went int every aspect of this design. I will first admit the finish is NOT what is generally one thinks of when one assumes a smooth coated (dyed) finish on the leather. In my private opinion, this is FAR BETTER. Grip is absolutely amazing. The short suede raw finish gives an incredibly nice yet secure feel.I was (pre)concerned about the added bulk of a case. PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AGAIN. I was also concerned about how it lays flat and bulk while reading. ANOTHER SURPRISE … when folded back the magnetic cover firmly latches to the back….and lays flat! I previously “thought” I would wish to remove from the case …. NOPE … it stays in the case now!!! ... but can be removed relatively easy.An interesting discovery: Audible WILL run with the case closed …. Mine “without ads” goes to the screensaver, light off, and audible still runs via Bluetooth …. NICE TOUCH AMAZON!Some of the issues/complaints/expectations others have mentioned are probably understandable. Unlike a lot of typical leather products, the color and finish are really NOT able to be photographed very well. If one is expecting a smooth and shiny Italian leather finish this is NOT the cover for you. If one is expecting a supple Napa type leather, well this isn’t “that” either. However, if one wants an perfect feel and grip that the metal back and no previous kindle cover has provided, then this is probably the my opinion and summary .. I really wished I had not place of buying for so long. This is the best Kindle and the BEST COVER to date.[UPDATE - After some time of everyday use, my 5 star rating still stands ...and I would probably give it 6 now if i could. The pictures of scratched up cases that others have shown in the past just don't keep real on this unit. Mine even beating around the house, in my computer bag, a lot of hundred miles of travel, still looks as amazing (or better) than the day it arrived. Any "scratch" that appeared was simply "wiped" away. The feel/grip of this leather (although hard to describe) is amazing ... I would love to have it on other devices as well. Very happy and would most definitely still recommend!

Kindle Oasis Premium Leather Cover [Book]  2019-11-19 18:1

This is a natural (suede like) dark brown leather with a very rich look & feel, even a slightly oily feel (in a amazing way), a premium item. It is the same leather as they used on the prior Kindle Oasis. It's very Ralph Lauren kind of look. Personally I search it very manly but who knows if I know what I am talking about, lol. It scratches with almost every touch however they mostly go away overnight as the oils in the skin spread to "heal itself". It If you don't like or understand the material, this is not for you. I loved how my latest one naturally aged. I prefer to read without the case because a love the feel of the metal and the lighter weight and getting it out of the case is simple enough. I would have preferred the magnetic attach style of the prior Oasis cover or the original for this one which apparently didn't stay one, but that doesn't exist anymore. If you don't like this material or don't consider this a premium look then obtain one of the lesser priced Amazon versions in other materials. It's not about right or wrong, it's about preferences.

Kindle Oasis Premium Leather Cover [Book]  2019-11-19 18:1

I wanted a high-quality case for my Kindle Oasis and splurged on this Premium Leather cover. My thinking was that I wanted a case that would latest a long time, look good, and feel amazing in my hands. I have to admit when I first unpacked the case I thought, "This can't be premium leather. It's too thin." I guess I was expecting a thicker case. In the end the case was something much better than I was hoping for. Yes it is thin, but when fitted with the Kindle it feels excellent in the hand. Anything thicker would be too bulky, and after a amazing amount of reading time it would begin to feel massive in the hand. It looks and feels great, and my Kindle is such a amazing fit that it snaps in the case and there are no worries of the two ever becoming separated. The cover is comfortable and versatile and it folds all the method over the back of the Kindle without any stress on the folding edge of the case. So I have no worries of the front separating from the back of the case after much use. Best of all, it truly looks and feels like a case that will look amazing and latest for a long time. Not sure what the fuss was about in some reviews about the premium leathers showing scratches. Afterall, true top-grade leather would present scratches too if you dragged it on a rough surface, so if you don't wish any scratches ever don't it. Overall, I would recommend paying the additional for this case if a comfortable leather feel around your Kindle is what you are looking for.

Kindle Oasis Premium Leather Cover [Book]  2019-11-19 18:1

I had purchased the Finite Casebot Leather case for my Oasis -- though it wasn't as expensive. That case looked nice but the edges were rough and created it unpleasant to hold.I had the Voyage ver of this case which was the Oragami design. I loved that case because the front cover was created of a thick layer of distressed leather. I *was hoping* that this would be comparable to that is the same leather -- however, it is much thinner and just doesn't have quite the satisfying feel as the Voyage version. It does look very nice and, unlike my previous Oasis cover, it is much more pleasant to hold. I just feel like Amazon "cheaped out" by making the leather a very thin layer.

More of a suede than what people think of as "leather". Not tough like a leather cover one would expect. Not like a leather holster or other leather s well enough, but easily scratched and t full grain leather or top grain leather, but a rather suede leather that a lot of will like but I am disappointed ratches too easily for the rather high price.

This is a very handsome cover that looks and feels great. True leather with that pleasing leather smell. The overall fit is very good. Fits snugly, but is still simple to remove if the need arises. The inside of the front cover is a black micro-fiber material. The micro-fiber is of a very fine grain. Which brings up just a very minor issue. It's the only annoyance I can find, and it's a minor one. But, when the front flap is opened and swung all the method back for reading, the inside material that you're now gripping is just a little bit slippery. Not a huge - after all it much more of a tactile feel than the bare metal back of the Oasis. If you can spring for the additional bucks this cover entails, I highly recommend it.

In December I traded in my old Kindle on a Kindle Oasis. Nice modernize with lots more battery life and more features. At the same time I decided to treat myself to a "Premium" leather cover. At $64.99 I expected something rather special, but the cover in question scuffed and showed wear signs almost immediately. Looks beautiful tacky. And now one of the side seams is coming apart. It will no doubt continue to peel away. I hold my Kindle in the bedroom and beautiful much only read it at night, so it isn't abused. Too late to return it but at least I can warn others.

They used the same leather from the original cover that was shipped with the first generation Kindle Oasis. This is a attractive high end leather. The case when folded to the back creates a flat back surface as opposed to third party cases that have an awkward angled back when folded. Would highly recommend getting this case over any other case. It's worth paying the for this case.

Amazon Protective Cover for Kindle Voyage, Black [Book]  2019-12-6 18:5

The basic reason I purchased this is that I really like the case I have for my paper white. It is well built and protects the unit very well. Unfortunately the voyage case I received fails at its main purpose. Protecting the voyage. Yes the case is sturdy and the stand is a amazing idea but that is totally irrelevant if the voyage pops out of it so easily. In the first hour of its use my voyage fell out of the case three times ( once when testing the stand ). What’s the problem? The case does not securely snap onto the voyage ( like the paper white case does ). This case uses magnets and honestly even if they were a small stronger they would not keep if the unit was accidently dropped. I am returning the case since it is basically useless for the everyday use I place my kindles though.

I love this case. It is exactly what I wanted. The purple is bright and beautiful. It folds back and sticks to the back, flat, with magnets. That is something I want all cases did. The origami stand is perfect. I read sitting at the table with it all the time and it works perfectly. I also love using the stand to read in bed with it standing on my mattress. That works amazing as well. I ordered my Voyage just days before the fresh Oasis was announced. This cover alone makes me not wish to make batter to the Oasis. I would miss the stand too much to wish a case without it e only complaint I have is that when the Kindle case is begin and folded back the power button is covered. This is only a issue if you obtain distracted and your Kindle screen turns off. You have to flip the cover back over to press the power button again. It is annoying, but not worth dropping a star over.

This is the best origami cover for the kindle voyage that there is. I tried the WALNEW Fresh Origami Case Cover for Amazon Kindle Voyage and it is too light weight to keep the kindle up if you actually use the folding feature. The part that folds up has to have a small bit of weight to it in to prop the kindle up otherwise it just falls right this cover is not perfect. It does not the best protection from drops and whatnot. The Voyage doesn't really snap in or anything. I think it is held in by magnets so it comes out really easily. However, if you like to read with your hands or you need to be able to prop your kindle up then this is definitely the method to is is actually my second time buying this case. My first one lasted me 2 years. Then the cover started coming apart and gluing it would only keep it for a small while then it was coming apart again. I got tired of regluing again and again so I bought a fresh one. I'm so glad that I didn't have to a fresh kindle. My Voyage is just as amazing as when I first got it over 2 years ago.

I agree with the other reviews about this case that put it firmly at four stars. I miss the Amazon case they created for the Paperwhite goes around the Kindle and opens like a book; I'm not sure why they can't create a case like that for the Voyage. I got a couple of cheaper cases that looked like they would be like that but they weren't as high-quality as the Amazon case and seemed to fall apart with a lot of opening and closing, and also the turning on with the magnet feature didn't seem to work as well. This case, it appears sturdy and well made, and the magnet on/off feature is working really well so far. I do feel like it protects my Voyage well, so that is good. I'm just not too crazy about the top-opening and I don't think that I'd ever really use it hands because I'm a fast-reader and page through constantly. I guess I'm also old-fashioned enough that I like holding my Kindle like a book!

I prefer reading without a case on my Kindle, and occasionally prop it up to read a recipe or whatever hands-free. I almost didn't this because it adds so much weight to the deliciously little and light Voyage. But luckily, this case is just what I needed. It protects the device, has a stand, and it slips in and out of its case quick and effortlessly. I wouldn't trust it to hang on to the device if it went flying like a frisbee. There are shallow sides and powerful magnets of this size can only do so much. If you're going to read with the case on sometimes and hate the added weight, I strongly recommend using a Y-shaped hand strap (I use TFI Hand Strap Holder Finger Grip for Kindle Voyage). I returned a straight strap from the same manufacturer "for Voyage" after discovering the bottom clamp will push the device off the magnetic cover. It did work well sans case. Hand fatigue from the case's weight is greatly relieved with the strap.

I just received my fresh Kindle Voyage, and two cases. This one, and the Bear Motion Premium Slim Sleeve: Bear Motion ® Premium Slim Sleeve Case Cover for Kindle Voyage - RedThis one works exactly as described, seems to fit well, and magnetically turns the Kindle on and off.BUT - here are weight figures, measured on my postal scale:Kindle Voyage: 177gm; Amazon Cover (this one) 133gm; Bear Motion: using the Kindle with the Amazon case increases the weight a notable 75%. A significant difference, simple to feel.I think for me, the extra weight to haul around (stuffed in my bag with everything else) isn't justified by the extra functionality of being able to stand up, and automatically turn on/is Kindle is replacing my Paperwhite, which I used either by holding it in my hand (the weight difference between the old and fresh Kindle is a little but noticeable improvement) or propping it up on something on a table. I don't think I ever missed not having a stand built into the case.I will of course test both out, and reconsider after a while. For now, I think the slim/lighter case is the one I will go with.

Its alright. The voyage feels somewhat vulnerable on its own. With this cover, it doesn't feel like a tank or like I could drop it from the height its at while I'm standing onto a concrete or hardwood floor, but I'm certainly a lot less worried about it getting scratched up and looks decent.I'm honestly not sure if its a 4-star or a 3-star item -- but yes, given what I saw looking around amazon and other locations to covers for the voyage, i didn't see any obvious options that were clearly method better than this.when i think to an ipad i bought in 2013ish or so and the cover i got with that, and how much better that was, for significantly cheaper (the cover, that is, i believe the ipad mini was method pricier), putting it in perspective that way, this does feel like a allow down from amazon. (reflecting on that comparison dropped my review from 4 to 3 stars -- and the rollover of 4-star being "I like it" vs 3-star being "It's okay" sealed the 3 stars. It is definitely an "its okay" purchase)So this is an okay product, and I don't/didn't see any obvious better choices. The Voyage is better than the paperwhite due to the buttons, given my preference (I hate the touchscreen overall), yet being the 2nd higher tier product, it makes sense that the accessories for it are far less plentiful than the entry level kindles. This all is part of my furthering disappointment with Amazon on the whole lately.

I really like this cover! It's light, not bulky and full protection to the Kindle. I love that it turns it on/off upon opening/closing of case. Some people said they didn't like how the flap opens over the top of the device but I don't search that to be a problem. On my previous Kindle I had the type that unzipped and opened to the left. I always tucked it behind the device in to keep it with one hand. This one is slimmer than my previous one so once you flip it back, it doesn't take up a lot of zone behind the Kindle. It's magnetic so when you flip it behind, it will stay put. If you wish to stand this one up, it does it easily and will even work with it standing up in the bed. Again, the origami piece is magnetic so the piece that comes together is magnetic & the bunched up portion magnetizes to the back of the case. I have no problems with it and yes, it was a bit pricey, but I think it's a amazing cover. I carry it around in my purse and it's a slim case that doesn't weigh the device down. I would recommend it for the Voyage.

I wasn't keen on this cover because it opens to the top but decided to test it because I can see the value of being able to prop up the Voyage and read hands free. While I agree with Scott that using PagePress with the cover in stand mode may be awkward, using regular taps or swipes on the screen works fine. I can see myself using the Voyage propped up a e front cover is definitely floppy when you fold it over the top and the motion is somewhat awkward. However, once the cover is flipped to the back, it "locks" into put versus the back cover to create the Voyage and cover one sturdy, immovable package. The feel holding it in your hand is somewhat various from that of the PaperWhite in the Amazon-brand cover because you feel more of the edge of the top cover but I think I will obtain used to it. It is definitely smaller and lighter than the PaperWhite and Amazon e inside of the front cover is comfortable in my hand. I like the purple 's not a excellent case and it's pricey but I like it much better than the Belkin case I got and will be returning.Edited to add: If you like to read during meals, this case makes it so easy! I didn't realize how much I would appreciate the easel feature, but it's so much better than reading has been with my PaperWhite propped up.

Amazon Protective Cover for Kindle Voyage, Black [Book]  2019-12-6 18:5

I initially wavered on buying this case for the Kindle Voyage because of the and the fact that it opened from the bottom, like a steno pad. However, when holding the Voyage case-less, my fingers were too fat to keep it comfortably in one hand. I would have to wedge it in between my thumb and palm in to not trigger the touch screen and be able to operate the PagePress buttons. Actually operating the buttons was uncomfortable and I got worried that I'd drop the kindle. I also wanted something that would turn off the screen when I place it away in my bag, so I bought e Voyage with the case definitely feels heavier than without. Perhaps it's to the Voyage's that it's incredibly light without the case, and with the case, the unit feels solid and reaffirming. The cover is covered in this material that feels a bit to the touch, but also sort of rugged. It's nice and while I was kind of bummed that the leather ver of this was sold out when I bought it, this is a amazing e voyage with the case, at least to me, is easier to hold. I can fold back one corner of the front and keep that between two fingers, and have the rest of the unit resting in my palm, leaving my thumb to operate the touchscreen or the PagePress buttons. The only true problem is how it fits in: sometimes the front comes up too short and doesn't overhang the Voyage, making opening it a small more tricky than I'd like.

I have had every kindle made. This is by far the best. It fits in the had, page turns turn by the same hand, extreme quality without the cold aluminum on the more expensive model, attractive screen, quick processor. Paper white is amazing also but needs two hands to turn pages. The Oasis II is amazing as a second for a various floor in the house. This one can’t be beat. The size is perfect, the cases wonderful. Just the best.

I don't understand why they can just decide on a size and set of features to on one device. Do a 7in display, front lighting, page turn sensors with an option to disable them in settings (for those people who dislike that feature). And be done with it. For bare bones users the Paperwhite, or Kindle Touch.

Kindle Voyage Essentials Bundle including Kindle Voyage 6" E-Reader with Special Offers, Amazon Leather Cover - Black, and Power Adapter [Book]  2019-11-29 18:2

Comment added 11/13/15: When first released, this Kindle bundle was offered at a much larger discount to Amazon Prime members (I believe the discount was about $55), and for other customers I don't recall if any discount at all was made. Now, the pricing is a $30 discount, for all purchasers. The value is therefore quite a bit less than when I first posted this review, but for someone wanting this particular combination of Kindle plus cover and adaptor, it's still a amazing deal. My original review follows, unchanged (and there is still no announcement from Amazon regarding a fresh Voyage model to be available this year, so the predictions of a fresh model appearing in November were obviously unfounded).Comment added 4/24/16: With the announcement of the fresh Kindle Oasis, it's now clear that a Voyage replacement is not exactly what Amazon had in mind. Rather Amazon has introduced a fresh higher-end Kindle and seems to be retaining the Voyage in the Kindle lineup, at least for now. I'm therefore changing the title of this review from "A amazing value (just know that a fresh Voyage is likely just around the corner)", to the show title. The text of the review remains as originally written.------I have had my Kindle Voyage since it was first introduced, and I also purchased this leather cover at that same time (but in red, not black). I don't have this particular charger, but I have several of the equivalent models that I've accumulated over the years from previous Kindle purchases.Without going into amazing detail on the merits of the Voyage (click on the link in the first paragraph for customer reviews), I will say that I use it every day, it replaced my PaperWhite (first generation) and I prefer the Voyage over the PaperWhite, the screen is very high quality and uniformly illuminated, the battery life is excellent, and it holds as a lot of books as I could possibly wish to carry with me (as I write this, I have over 1000 books on my Voyage, and it is roughly half full). It's also slightly smaller than the PaperWhite (but with the same size screen), and therefore lighter to hold, and it's styled and finished a bit 's a terrific e-reader and I've never regretted purchasing it.With respect to the Protective Leather Cover, I have learned to love the 'origami' design, and I use it often to prop up the Kindle when reading while eating. I had owned the previous book-style case for my PaperWhite and was initially hesitant to obtain the origami case, but I'm glad that I did. It is high quality and looks great, even after over a year of everyday is particular pack also contains a 5W Power Adapter. If purchased separately I think that the adaptor is overpriced (see my review to it). But if you're getting it as part of this bundle, then it's just ere is no reason to this bundle unless you are Amazon Prime - the savings in price, which are considerable, are only given to Prime members. But if you're a Prime member and interested in getting this particular model of Kindle, along with the case and charger, then this is an perfect value. EDIT: The unique pricing for this bundle was originally offered only to Prime members but it is now available to any purchasers.(One more thing to note - if purchased separately, the Voyage is offered in both Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi plus 3G models. This bundle contains the Wi-Fi model and it doesn't seem to be offered for the Wi-Fi plus 3G model. So if you wish to be able to use your Kindle away from Wi-Fi networks and still sync with the Amazon cloud and and books, this won't work for that). The only reservation I would mention regarding the Voyage is this - it is predicted that Amazon will be introducing a fresh replacement for the Voyage at any time, and anyone considering purchasing a Voyage today should be aware that this is likely to happen. (Some crazy people, such as myself, will probably the fresh Voyage when it comes out, even though their current Voyage is still working just fine. Go figure). In fact, it's probably safe to guess that one of the reasons Amazon is offering this discounted bundle is their pending announcement of the fresh replacement for the Voyage. So they're doing this to support clear out the old inventory. Which is fine. Those who take advantage of it will be getting a amazing deal.
