Masontops Bean Screen Plastic Mason Jar Sprouting Lids for Wide Mouth Mason Jars – Grow Bean Sprouts, Alfalfa, Salad Sprouts and More – 2 Pack review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:20

I bought these to replace mesh and an elastic band covering a gallon jar for sprouting. I want I had done this sooner. These are great. I also found another use for them by accident. I was using the green lid on a batch of alfalfa sprouts and nearby ripened bananas attracted fruit flies which in turn attached themselves to the green lid. I found that curious because fruit flies are not normally attracted to sprouts. I changed the lid to the blue one and washed the green lid and left it on the counter. The fruit flies were not interested in the blue lid at all. They went back to the green lid. As a test, I added some apple cider vinegar and a dash of dish soap to a little mason jar and attached the green lid. The fruit flies returned to the green lid and have now disappeared completely from my kitchen. They were on the lid but ventured down the centre opening and ended up in the vinegar. The green lid makes a amazing fruit fly trap!

Masontops Bean Screen Plastic Mason Jar Sprouting Lids for Wide Mouth Mason Jars – Grow Bean Sprouts, Alfalfa, Salad Sprouts and More – 2 Pack review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:20

You'll search dozens of variations of sprouting lids online. Also, a lot of people will tell you to chop a screen and just create your own. I've tried all of that. Each option has its setbacks. If you create your own screen, it's going to turn some of your sprouts black. Other plastic lids either don't allow the water out, have holes that are too wide and allow some seeds out, or overall just don't drain well. So someone sat down and invented exactly the right thing that everyone needs. This is that invention. It solves all the issues you'll face with other lids. More than ecstatic about these.

Masontops Bean Screen Plastic Mason Jar Sprouting Lids for Wide Mouth Mason Jars – Grow Bean Sprouts, Alfalfa, Salad Sprouts and More – 2 Pack review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:20

Super happy!I have used all sorts of sprouting devices - trays, sacks, and all sorts of mason jar lids. I was skeptical that these could be so good, but they are so well designed! The indented spout in the middle, unlike my other mason jar lids, allows two miraculous things to happen – I can add water easily without it splashing off the lid, quite quickly I might add, and I can drain my seeds much more easily. Those two things combined have reduced my sprouting in rinsing time by about 80%.Add to that, the inner indentation, combined with the small knobs around the top that hold the jar half an inch off the counter or sink floor when inverted, let for better aeration. I no longer worry about mold. I’ve been using these fresh lids for about a month and I am ordering a second set. They are going to replace all of my other lids, which I am giving away.

Masontops Bean Screen Plastic Mason Jar Sprouting Lids for Wide Mouth Mason Jars – Grow Bean Sprouts, Alfalfa, Salad Sprouts and More – 2 Pack review [Book]  2019-12-6 18:20

Very happy with these sprouting lids with legs. I use with straight sided wide mouth 18 oz. mason jars and it is so simple to drain them. Very simple to add water thru the top center. They fit wide mouth mason jars perfectly. Draining is easy. Gasket simple to remove and rinse. Highly recommend. Images present comparison with flat type lids.

Bought 1 set of these and a single yellow lid of a various brand for the sole purpose of growing broccoli sprouts in wide mouth 64 oz mason jars. Broccoli seeds did not fall through these (a couple got stuck, but were easily budged with a spray of water or a light tap with the handle of a butter knife). These lids are far superior to the yellow one. The design of these is awesome. Silicon liner rings FTW! I really like how on the inside of the lid, between the logo on the outside and one of the stands, easily indicates where the drain slit is, so when I hint them up to drain its easy to know which method to have the jars face (apologies, I'm struggling to easily describe this).

It’s crazy to be excited about a molded plastic product, but I have been using a various (and inferior) strainer for a while, and the contrast is stark. Here’s why I like it:1. The pour spout does let you to pour water in without splashing. I use water from my berkey, but it worked on the faucet as well.2. The ventilation legs are a amazing idea.3. Most necessary - there’s no water caught in the threads of the jar. I used to have to drain, partially unscrew, change the angle so water would empty, and then screw the thing back on. Now it’s lliterally, pour, swirl, and e only thing possible wrong is that I have no idea about the level of toxins in the plastic they use. There’s something a small bit ironic about sprouting organic mung beans in plastic. Wonder if they could create it in stainless steel....I hope they give the designer a big, fat bonus. He/she actually looked at function of the part. Will buy another set.

So I've been doing research on sprouts and how awesomely healthy they are! Sulfer a Fein. Look it up and you'll search that by growing these babies (broccoli sprouts have the highest amount) and consuming them you'll be doing your body a HUGE good! Anyway, I decided to give it a try. You don't even need a sunny window; hold them away from light! It's so simple as long as you don't forget to water morning and night. Anyone can do it. AND, did you know that you can freeze sprouts? So grow a bunch and then just freeze them for when you need them. I did test to eat them alone... they were a bit too earthy for me. But on Salads, Sandwiches and in Smoothies you won't even message the taste AT ALL! A terrific and simple method to up your nutrients during all the cheating to be had the next couple mos of holidays! These lids would create fabulous bonuses or stocking stuffers for the health conscious. Or maybe leave some sprouts out for Santa and his Reindeer. Maybe he'll leave you a bunch of sprouting seeds for Christmas!!! TRY IT; YOUR BODY WILL LIKE IT!

These work better than expected! I am fresh to sprouting and was using cheesecloth to cover and drain the jar. I was a small frustrated with this method, so decided to test one of these lids. WOW, what a difference! The dimple in the middle of the lid allows water to enter the jar quickly with no splashing, and the draining is quick and thorough. I'm impressed and highly recommend this product.

I have tried a number of screens and sprouting systems, and these mason jar sprouting lids are by far the best. They're very simple to use, simple to clean, and hassle free. The small feet are amazing for water drainage, and the only problem I have had is that little seeds can obtain stuck in the holes, but for the most part it isn't a addition to sprouting, they work really well for tea! I cold brew hibiscus tea in half gallon mason jars, and these strain out the petals and pour quite well.

Don't bother reading the 1-Star reviews! They range from "Not Draining well" to "The seal is hard to place in" to "Caused mold". Every single one of these complaints are due to "User Error". I had never grown sprouts before buying these handy lids and have had a half dozen highly successful jars come out to date. I took the time to research the process before jumping in without any knowledge of the proper procedure. As for "Not draining well", the only time you may have this occur is the first couple of days. When the contents of the jar are still just seeds, you need to roll the jar horizontally to obtain the seeds to stick to the side of the jar and not fall down and block the drain holes. This could also be the reason for the mold complaint. Also, possible causes would be not rinsing twice a day as well as allowing the seeds to block drainage. As for the complaint that it is hard to place the seal in the lid... I walked into my living room and handed the lid and seal to my wife and asked her if she could place the seal in the lid for me. She handed it back to me with the seal in the lid in less than 3 seconds. She hadn't even seen the lid before then. Don't allow these 1-Star reviews deter you... they work GREAT if used properly and they are VERY EASY to successfully use!!!

Masontops Bean Screen Plastic Mason Jar Sprouting Lids for Wide Mouth Mason Jars – Grow Bean Sprouts, Alfalfa, Salad Sprouts and More – 2 Pack review []  2019-12-8 18:9

Unbelievable bean recipes with a lot of variations not seen in a "run of the mill" cookbook. I ordered this book because I liked what reviewers had to say and wanted to test some fresh bean recipes. I did cartwheels when I saw who the author was - Crescent Dragonwagon - whose cookbooks are among my favorites! There are a huge number of "new" to me recipes, from appetizers to desserts and so far we have enjoyed each and every one.

Bean By Bean: A Cookbook: More than 175 Recipes for Fresh Beans, Dried Beans, Cool Beans, Hot Beans, Savory Beans, Even Sweet Beans! review [Book]  2017-11-2 18:2

I've been going through a beans-and-grains phase for the past few months. Soaking, cooking, and freezing are beautiful much part of my routine - but I tend to obtain into a rut in terms of recipes, once I search something I like, is simple to create in a beautiful huge quantity, and my family will eat. So we eat a lot of mjaddarah (with rice or bulgur) and bean/vegetable soups, or cold salads with beans and greens. I tend to flavor cooked beans with cumin/coriander, chilis, and items like that, and cold beans with coarse salt, a lot of lemon, and olive oil, as well as either new parsley, coriander, or mint. It's just the method I roll.I ordered this book hoping to learn something about beans and to obtain some inspiration for fresh ways of cooking beans, and I search it to be a really successful book. So far I've tried quite a few of the recipes, and all of them have been just excellent. as a beautiful experienced home cook, I know how to read a recipe and to adjust the quantities and seasonings in order to suit our tastes, but the first time around, I usually create the recipe as it's given. The recipes in this book are simple to follow, they mostly include ingredients that one can obtain easily enough, and they turn out great. Also, the author gives a lot of variations without overwhelming the reader. In most cases, it's simple to vegetarianize or veganize the few meatist recipes according to one's habits, and I guess that omnivores can also figure out how to add bacon if they're in the mood. Incidentally, I am so satisfied this book focuses on easy true foods and not on highly processed faux-meat - that's one of the things that tend to be a huge turn off in some famous vegan cookbooks. I plan to create my method through more recipes in the near e author's writing is a pleasure to read - it's private and funny, on the one hand, but it's never irritating, cute, or over the top. It's very knowledgable, but without being dry or didactic. To use Holden Caulfield's test, the author is someone you'd probably like to chat with on the phone (or over a coffee/tea/beer/glass of wine).I would really recommend this book to anyone looking to obtain more beans and grains into their diet or to someone who is vegetarian/vegan and is not interested in basing their nutrition on french fries and pasta or on expensive processed foods. The amazing thing about beans is that they're cheap, healthy, and tasty - and Crescent Dragonwagon's unbelievable book will go a long method in making them accessible to home cooks.

i bought this over a year ago and did not start to use the book until this month. As a vegan, I search the recipes without meat products wonderful, simple to use. I have recommended this book on Fb to my huge vegan mate list. Want I had begun using beans earlier but am now committed and this book will be my go to book for amazing recipes.

I must say, I am in love with this cookbook. Usually a cookbook without pictures would be a turn off, but let's face it, some bean dishes just aren't very photogenic. My entire family (picky toddler included) love the dishes from this cookbook. Syrian Style Red Lentil Soup is the fresh family favorite food around here. There is such a large range of recipes in this cookbook, too. I love the deconstructed nachos (featuring homemade refried beans). My husband loves the minestrone. I recommend this cookbook to everyone I see. It is fabulous!

I've tried several recipes from the book, and so far I've liked them all. I also have fun the history lesson and anectdotes given with the recipes. Pictures of the recipes would be nice, but aren't included in the book. However, I bought this book in Kindle Fire format, and I will never buy another cookbook in this format. There are references to pages with links, and the links don't work. So you have to scroll through page-by-page to search the recipe you want. If you obtain a link that "works", it works by sending you to some random page - not the page you were trying to access. But you're probably within 6 to 10 pages, so you're closer? I guess? The rating is for the recipes and interesting history, not for the format. The format gets 1/2 star. And that's just because the Kindle is portable and I can set it up in the kitchen while I'm working. If you're interested, do yourself a favor and purchase the physical dendum to my review (10/27/12): The links within the text don't appear to work reliably, however, the links from the Index work perfectly. Also, I've had a possibility to test more recipes since my initial review, and they've all been winners. As a note, if you use unflavored gelatin in the Lime Tofu Custard recipe, it takes 1-1/2 - 2 packets and needs a small longer to set. I went overboard with the gelatin, and ended up with Lime Tofu Jello. It still tasted good, however!

Recipes are nice but we only tried a few of them. Incorporating more beans in our healthy diet but a lot of the recipes are the same except for just one or two ingredients.

Great! I am a premium call recorder user. The application works amazing but is lacking consistency in comparison with the call app. Dark theme and cloud integration would be 5 stars ⭐ Save to SD card is also not working for me

It's not a BAD application but it's not a amazing application either. The in application recording isn't really working for android device phones and the sound quality isn't that good either. I also want that there was more editing tools too.

I highly recommend do not install this app, it doesn't just hangs your phone but freezes it...And if you can't remove your phone's battery you'll not have any other method to unfreeze your phone but to wait & wait until your battery discharge itself to 0% & then you'll be able to turn your phone on after charging it..And this is the only method to unfreeze your phone.
