"My Heart Transplant for Your Amusement" by Vince Clews The essence of this book is Vince's story about his heart condition and the obstacles he had to overcome to create the transplant happen; but, it also a love story of Vince's love for his wife, Carol. That love is evidenced in his accolades describing her faithful attendance to his every need, demonstrating what it means to vow, "I will love you and honor you all he days of your life". This is a amazing read and makes one admire the Clews for the tenacity they demonstrated in overcoming the continued frustrations of this rollercoaster ride. I would suggest a various title ~ as I was not amused! I might suggest, "My Heart Transplant: A Good-Humored Look at a Life in Crisis". It is amazing read and I love a guy who watches The Meal Channel to see Barefoot Contessa and Giada with cleavage showing.
Needs a few key features I love what this application tracks compared to others. There really needs to be a feature to see series stats for one league at a time. Or an explanation on how to as I haven't found one. Also, I'd really like the ability to just be able to tap on the frame I need to correct. It gets annoying having to tap more> edit frame> use a drop down> select frame> jump to/reset. This can also keep real with a ball change, just allow me tap where it shows which ball I'm using and pull up a menu to change it.
OUTSTANDING PROGRAM!!! This application let's me track EVERY possible option involved in my bowling - all my balls, all my leagues, practices - you name it. When you change balls mid-game, this program tracks it. Too a lot of amazing features for me to list. But for me the most awesome feature is the color, lane-view graphic that I can print, which shows every ball I've thrown. And, tech help is first class. I had some questions and they were answered immediately. Highly recommend this to any serious bowler.
Amazing app. I can't think of any negatives. I do use it on 3 various devices(cell and 2 tablets) as it depends on what I wish to carry, so I was wondering if it would be possible to auto update/sync. I know it's being greedy. But at times I do forget to back-up the data. Not a negative, just a thought.
I love this app, and I have been using it for a long time... Even after a lot of years (and a few tablet upgrades), this is still my goto application to track my bowling stats. I would LOVE to see a "Gear" companion ver of the application for the wearable tech. How cool would it be to log your shots on your watch vs on the phone.
The only serious application for bowlers that I've found and the developer is serious about improving it. Lets you track equip and play. With continuing enhancements this application just gets better and better. The latest addition of visual display of android games and series is terrific. Amazing serious bowling app.
Amazing application for tracking all the geek stats! Suggestion for users with back up/restore issues: use the "email" option and send the old stats to yourself, then on the fresh device, make a backup. Find to the fresh blank back up files and copy the previous ver files to that folder location!
Covers Everything This application literally covers everything. It lets you input the alley, the ball, the lane conditions... It separates splits and washouts from other multi-pin spare attempts. You can enter in your android game plan for a series of games. It's well worth the money. I'll be using it for years to come.
My Lane Play, Amazing App! My Lane Play is a amazing app! It does what it is designed to do flawlessly. I have been using it for over a year tracking my high school team. The developer is very responsive to questions and the needs of users. Highly recommend this app!
If you are someone who really likes to track stats, this program is excellent. I will be using this for the 3rd season. I learned more about this application as I was using it. Year 2 I found out more about breaking down stats than I knew the first year. The more you use it and play with it, the more you realize what you can do with it. If you wish to use it to track baker system for high school or college, you can track that also. I have not used it that way. I did check it out because someone involved in highschool coaching asking me about it. I don't know if there are any better bowling apps out there to track scores and stats, but this one is great. I would even give it a higher rating if that was possible
Tag Cavendish, with journalist Daniel Friebe (who really should be credited on the cover), has written a very interesting and entertaining book about what it's like being one of the fastest sprinters in cycling. Mr. Cavendish has a reputation as being one of the 'bad boys' of cycling to complement his well-deserved reputation as a superlative sprinter. Reading this book has softened my opinion of him somewhat as hearing his side of the story paints a fuller picture of the man. That said, it's obvious that he does not see certain things the method most of us do. The most glaring example of this is his acc of his popular crash with Heinrich Haussler at the Tour de Suisse in 2010. From his (Mark's) description of the [email protected]#$%! seems perfectly obvious that Cavendish is at fault. Looking at videos of the crash seems to confirm this. Haussler, head down, is driving for the finish and holding a straight line while Cavendish crosses from the right side to crash right into him. Yet somehow Cavendish concludes that it was Haussler who was at fault for not seeing him and giving him room. Oh well, what can I say. On the other hand, throughout the book Cavendish is very frank and begin about himself and his good/bad points, and comes across in total as a much more likable chap that I expected. I found myself liking him more and more in spite of his blind spots. He's lavish in praising his teammates, which is nice to see. He also dispenses criticism freely, but it seems to be deserved. He gives the impression of speaking freely and not holding anything back which leads to a feeling of sum, this is a very enjoyable book. Cavendish devotes a amazing amount of time to describing in detail how he and his squad approached races and stages of races, and what went wrong or right in executing their strategies. This is the kind of info I like to read, and there is plenty of it in this book.
It's very refreshing to finally read a cycling book that does not devote 90% of it' pages to kicking Lance Armstrong in the teeth. In fact, what Cavendish says about Lance in his book makes me respect Tag even more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as Cav is probably my favorite personality in pro cycling today. It's evident that he gets a poor rap from the media because he refuses to be their lap dog. Unfortunately it is becoming all too common in sports that if the athlete does not bow to the medias wishes then they simply trash them using the power of print and video.
We seem to live in a time when everything an athlete says comes out of a can and leaves the fans wondering after an interview, "Did you really just race in an epic war for 4 1/2 hours and come out with no thoughts other than, 'I had a amazing vehicle on a amazing day with a amazing squad and everything went good.'?". This book is not like that. Cavendish praise for those who have been a positive influence and does not keep back his thoughts on those who have fallen short. Not every page or every thought is gripping, but that is ok because the book reads like a conversation with someone who most of us will never have the possibility to speak with one-on-one and I appreciate that. This book is not one where you will search any wonderful insights or which is particularly revealing about the globe of street bike racing. Instead, it is one man's honest perspective and that is something which I really enjoyed.
I started reading this book before the Tour de France 2014. I am one of Mark's fans and the book helped me understand the pressures of pro racing but also the surreal aspects. Getting so much and attention for sport always mystifies me. Then Tag crashed out and if anything reading about his reaction in the press increased my respect for him and his squad OPQS.
I've followed Mark's career for some years and spent the early years dispising his poor boy brat personality. As he matured and became a better cyclist (and person), it all makes sense reading Mark's story. He skirts some of the issues, but for now that will have to do. With all the tell-all doping books out there, maybe this is the better way.
At Speed, Cavendish's second book about his life, contains some amazing descriptions of sprinting at the highest level. It provides a lot of insight into his perspective, both on sprinting and other aspects of life. In particular, his complete confidence that if the course is suitable and he and his squad does everything right, he WILL victory the race. There are very few cyclists in history who have been able to pull this off, but at least until the 2013 Tour (described here), he has.
Anyone interested in cycling can read this. Very honest and a bit of inside detail which the public does not obtain to see or know about. I read Boy racer also, so this was a nice and amazing follow up and you can clearly see how he has grown as a person. It was nicely written and never got boring. An interesting read indeed. Amazing luck Cav!
I have always enjoyed watching Cavendish race with no fear and now after two books to his his writing style might come close to matching his fearlessness on the bike. He's candid and transparent as he allows the reader to obtain a glimpse of his life in the quick lane of professional cycling. A definite read for all who have fun the sport of pro cycling or those who wish an honest what you see is what you obtain perspective from the worlds fastest man in the peloton.

If you are looking for a book that is going to deliver on not just romance, but also on comedy and suspense, then grab this one. The author was able to portray some awesome chemistry between Emily and Vincent. I loved that the book was not at all what I was expecting, but everything I required out of a amazing romance novel.
Disobeying My Boss by Summer Brooks was a sizzling, scintillating story of Fallon and Simon. He’s a billionaire and needs a fresh private assistant.
