This is a nice app to have if your in need of a quick view of your utility usage on a regular bill or also a prepaid bill. It also gives you details you might need in a hurry such as your account number or during outages you meter number even it would tell you if outages are in the area and how long the area has been down. You can't change your notification info; and I often have trouble changing my pwd it gives me an error code stating my email is not found with an acct.
The app itself seems to be set up simply and is easy to use. However, I do have concerns about the password policy. On first login with a new account you are not prompted to change the password from what the electric company has given you. There also doesn't seem to be any option within the app itself to change the password. You have to login to the website instead to be prompted to change it or manually change it. I'm concerned that with such weak password policies data could be easily stolen.
This has been a great app until today! When I try to log in it says "invalid token, try again later" What is going on? I've had this app for a long time and the sad thing is I had to get a new phone at the beginning of the year and my email is now different then the one I have my account made with, and there's no way I could possibly remember the old password. Why is the invalid token showing up. Also is there a way to add my new email to my account. .
I think the user experience is somewhat based on the utilities company as well. However, I have used this system in both Tennessee and now Florida and after the first hiccup of login I have not had any problems. I like seeing the amount used everyday so I know where utilites are being wasted. You never hit switches as fast as the day it cost you $5.00 instead of the normal $1-3 😂..... I have no complaints so far but I've been using it for 2 years now soooooo
The setup process is long and arduous, and once you log in the app is overly simplified. My usage isn't showing me anything, when I click "hourly" or "daily" it just says "Not available". I'm not sure if that's the app or my meter. Either way I prefer the website to this.
This app is useful for merely paying your bill and viewing usage and amount left. However after getting a new phone push notifications do NOT work on this model, and yes I did manually change them in the app notification management. Old phone was a Galaxy S5, new phone Huawei Mate SE (BND-L34). And yes, also checked the phone's notification settings too. Push notifications are still sending to my girlfriend's phone, just not my new one. Don't rely on this app to give you timely bill updates!
So one big problem. When I go to add funds to my account that site is not setup for use with cell phones. Now I understand that you have no control over the company that runs the second site but you are paired up with them. Might have been a great idea to setup a blanket site for payments for all the different companies.
everything was fine until the system must of been hacked. some how the system is reading I owe over 1 million dollars which needs to be paid before disconnection. yes I said it right I have screen shots of the ridiculous amout this app is trying to say I owe. I am beyond livid about the situation. yall need to fix y'alls system. no way in hell we owe that amount. especially when I just put in 134.00 and we had a balance of that to be used.
my app keeps crashing. wont let me log in. please fix it!! update 6/25: Still wont let me log in. My phone is a Galaxy s4. My service is thru AT&T. This app is useless to me. Its inconvenient to waste my time trying, then having to resort to other ways to pay my bill. I might as well delete it if it wont ever work for me.
Everything is fine but the payment feature. It sucks. You have NO CLUE if the payment is going through or went through. You really need to put a payment pending on it when you press the authorization button. Plus, this does not give you any conformation codes. Other than that, it's fine, I like how it shows your daily usage and what not. But I will just continue to pay over the phone or by other means because I don't need a payment oopsie again due to being in the dark.
Nothing about this app makes sense to me. It appears to be simple but its not...its LITERALLY A BUNCH OF NUMBERS with ZERO EXPLANATION. I can't figure it out. And I don't understand why I need to put my account number in and key token? to make a payment when it's already signed into my account. I really think a user friendly update is in order.
The app is handy to keep track of the usage of your utilities. It could be simplified a little more for others to understand the usage and rates better. Also there was times I used less power and was charged more then I used. Also at random times money would disappear and then reappear later down the road.
The 1800 number does work...I put the my account number and it says it can't be found but it's still charging me everyday! Go online I get an error communications message; then they cut off my utilities for non payment but I can even make a payment....this has happened several times and then I get all these extra fees added on.....Like What Is This Prepaid...This is craziness....
Is there any way you can make the usage chart easier to understand? It would be more helpful if you could tell us the usage based on the time of day. Also, I don't really care for the "miscellaneous" charges being described that way. I think it would be better if you could be more specific of what those charges are. Other than that, I feel like this is a good app for keeping track of payments.
It's good for monitoring, I get to see how much I spend a day on *misc* They charge me as [email protected]#$%10 a day. other times more like $4 Is that a lot, or a little? Idk. But it could be part of the reason why city of Ocala utilities are in a class action lawsuit I glanced at the wiki page for C++ and I'm pretty sure I can make a better app.
when you open the app you login, then go to post payment, then you have to login again, here's where I have the most trouble, I try to login and it constantly tells me my username or password is incorrect , so frustrating, I uninstall then reinstall it will work, does an up date and everytime it updates I have to go login again to post a payment and i get the same thing, it sends me a link, and it still tells mr incorrect username ir password to post payment. why do you have to login twice ?
I love it i can check my usage and keep track with the electric I use its a great app. it does however take a while for a payment to reach the app bit other than that I give it a thumbs up. it can help you count down to where your money is going and how to save electricity
This app is a waste of time unless I don't know my way around it, such a generic app. When I used Florida powers app before moving here it would show you every day how much your power bill is and exactly how many days that month you were going to be charged for and you could stop and start your service thru the website and pull up previous bills. This app is just taking up space on my phone.
All ETC products are confusing. I have 2 MyUsage accounts for 1 address. The admins at ETC don't understand what I'm talking about. One has a negative balance and the other is the one I put money in. I have been at this address twice and they won't merge or intergarate the 2. ETC is losing money on the other account. I tried explaining but they can't figure it out. Hope they don't send the unpaid to collections or disconnect my electric.
I currently live in a 1 bdrm apt and use it here and it has been awesome. It makes you very conscious of your usage. When you know better you do better. I am moving to a house in 2 days and will be using this awesome plan there too. I have challenged myself to use $1.00 a day or less.
Yhe app updated yesterday and now it is saying it needs another update but when I click yes for the update it takes me to google play and it say either open or uninstall the app I push open and it tells me I need to update the app. This is how I put money on my electric. Please help.
