I really loved his book! It started out a small slow, but once the whole vampire element was introduced, I was hooked. ( Okay, I'll admit...I read the Twilight series, and this is nothing like it! I have also read the first 5 books in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" Series). George R.R. Martin is such a amazing writer...his characters are so well developed and the story is really a various twist on your typical vampire tale. Love the setting...the rivers of the South during the late 1800's. It's the story of an impossible friendship between a rough steamboat captain and a "mysterious benefactor". I really don't wish to give anything away by saying any more...so I will just say...read this book!!!
This was like being there to me...last time these four were together!!! Huge Band :)Ernie Haase seems a bit of a ham bone, but what else is new...I specifically enjoyed this squad the most of all the changes over the years...hats off to the three who worked with Mr. Haase to create this a success.
A amazing app. This is essentially what sky q would like to be but the Linux devs out there have nailed it. Add Chromecast help and I won't hesitate to premium. Its the only thing this application is missing and the one thing I really want. No other apps help this so it would create this application stand out from the crowd.
Having listened to Siamese Dream several times a year since 1994, I'm beautiful familiar with album. I have a old one-record pressing of Siamese Dream and it sounds, well, like garbage. This two-record pressing is amazing; I've heard things I've never heard on the CD. Seriously, amazing pressing.
For me a classic is an album you can listen to 10 years later and still be interested and challenged by it. Siamese Dream passes that try for me. It's a rollicking rock album with such a distinctive Pumpkins sound. I appreciate Billy Corgan's artistic integrity and demand to change and grow their sound, but, IMHO, it never got better than this album. Mellon Collie was perfect as well, but this is the epitome of the pumpkins' ey had something really unique here, it was a magical blending of loads of overdubbed guitars, lazy bends, superb drumming, angsty/angry lyrics, and a gentle finish. My favorites are Cherub Rock, Rocket, Geek USA, Mayonaise, Soma, Disarm, Silverf**k, oh the whole darn album is great. If you like amazing hard rock music, but with music and meaning, this is a classic album. Truly amazing! I'm loving it all over again, 10+ years later.
I'm not kidding - this is my favorite Tag Murphy cd of all time - and being his sister-in-law, I own nearly 50. I remember years ago when I got The Dream, I played it everyday for MONTHS! It never did obtain old.Just so you can obtain a sense of my taste, some of my other favorites are Another Vision, Bop for Kerowuac, Dim the Lights, I'll Close My Eyes, Night Mood, What a Method to Go, and Till.If you are young and like cutting edge jazz, this might not be the one for you - it's beautiful mellow. But every single track is OFF THE CHARTS for us old farts - nothing to skip here! The Dream is a DREAM album!
The title really does say it all. Five stars all the way. If you have fun fresh age/native flutes/world music, you will most definitely have fun this cd. This album became an instant favorite the first time I listened to it, and it has stayed in massive rotation ever since.
This is one of the most revelatory biographies and histories I ever have read. This book is packed with erudite scholarship as similar by an author in command of the art of storytelling. It's a large book, which will surprise you because - your know - who's Champlain? Did he merit any more than a paragraph or two in any (U.S.) school book you read? That's probably because we descend from an English tradition. We see our history through an English lens, at least until we throw off the yoke of King George and the lobsterbacks and Hessians he used to quash our freedoms and inalienable rights (yeah, yeah). The fact so few of us know this story is reason enough for the Quebecois to desire independence. If this alone doesn't create you wish to visit Montreal and Quebec, then tack the first six of Louise Penny's mystery novels onto it and you'll hardly be able to stay away.
Amazing non-fiction story telling. Champlain is my fresh favorite historical figure. Besides I learned so much about 16th and 17th century French, Canadian, Quebec, Canadian Maritime, Native American, Protestant Huguenot, Roman Catholic history, geography, ecology, economics, trade and culture. I love this book.
This is my First time on Board as it Caters Halal Restaurant. I book for Penang and Phuket on 25th Oct 2019.Unfortunately 1 Day before on 24th they call to inform they change destination to Penang and Langkawi. We are in group of 10 and 3 Kids.We are looking forward to Phuket as this our 1st time too. Already booked Landtour there with our Deposit paid. What a disappointment.Even though they compensate us $100/each. We got no choice but to carry on.We still have fun The Atmosphere of The Ship.
Application doesn't even work just lousy. Staff makes a false promise that this Application works for communicating with family and mates on board if you do not wish to their Wi-Fi at exorbitant prices. Then, u realise you got scammed as this application just freezes and u are unable to I am on board. This is the most pathetic method to test to force customers into purchasing the Wi-Fi. Dream on dream cruises
I have given David Lanz's piano melody CD's to anyone who loves quiet, reflective music. After seeing him in play in person, I still his very 1st album with Cristofori's Dream on it. I have recently purchased 2 of Cristofori's Dream revisited (this the 25th anniversary year for that album). Unbelievable pianist.
I love David Lanz's ability to build his melody up into either an electric river full of bounding druids or a whistling breeze through a fog-choked forest in the chill of Winter. The range of sounds he can provide is enough to amaze anyone with or without an ear for music. Definitely recommended!
i love this, it is randome but interesting, although there are some things that are not in the application so i have to think of another word for it Idea:you could maybe add a dream calendar. basically, we can write what our dream was about and use keywords. if we look back on our dream log, we can on the keywords and it will take us to the page of that word that tells us what it means hope you like my idea
I would like it better if those ads would stop popping up in the middle of me trying to read what it is I'm looking up. You should add a we bit more information though somethings are not in there. [email protected]#$%! could be more. But all in all this application is very useful.........
I originally bought this book while in South Africa and I fell in love with the notice and the sweet illustrations. The notice of love and acceptance of other’s differences is greatly required this day in age. This has become my go-to bonus for baby showers or young children.
If you remember the late 1970's when The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald was a hit, you will remember how AM radio murdered the song by playing the song incessantly 4x per hour for weeks. Then Dave Barry did further hurt by including it in his book of Worst Rock Records citing the line "As huge freighters go it was bigger than most". NRBQ also seems to have performed it live as a joke with extra verses to create it longer than the 6+ mins it is. While AM radio was doing it's damage, FM radio was playing a splendidly easy folk ditty called Summertime Dream and other album cuts. Like the ear worm, Summertime Dream played in my head for 20+ years, and like the addict, I would never obtain satisfaction unless I had my fix, unless I heard it again. So I bought this cd. To my surprise, or perhaps not to my surprise I absolutely love this album. After those a lot of years, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald seems to be a very interesting song to me - it's not stupid, and I have fun hearing it again. Protocol is an perfect anti-war song. I'm not supposed to care is a gorgeous love song. There's nothing poor on the album, his lyrics are smart and he is a Canadian master of the Scots-Irish folk tradition. By the time Gordon recorded this LP he was a seasoned recording pro, and it shows. His band is amazing too. What about Summertime Dream? It's still ear candy to me, a wonderful, easy folk song that you have fun singing along with. There's nothing poor about this album - go ahead and it. Gordon Lightfoot is a folk treasure - glad he recovered from his illness a ways back and I hope he's still with us for a long time to come.
This recording, subtitled "Celtic Explorations", is a masterpiece of understated intrigue. Ever changing, the moods and styles range from lilting, traditional Celtic and dreamy Fresh Age to shimmering Persian taxims and innovative modern chamber music. Maggie Sansone's original compositions and arrangements are defined by her scintillating playing of the hammered dulcimer and supported by guest instrumentalists who provide gentle, multilayered accompaniments. Featured prominently is Bobby Read, an amazingly versatile musician who seems to play just about every wind, keyboard and percussion instrument under the sun! Also contributing are a host of other artists, a lot of of whom appear as soloists or accompanists on other releases produced by Sansone under the label "Maggie's Music". They are: Al Petteway on guitar; multi-national fiddlers Bonnie Rideout (Scottish), Sara Nisenson (Irish) and Andrea Hoag (Swedish); flutist Aran Olwell; harper David Sheim; Debbie Hunter on viola da gamba; T.J. Johnson on mandolin and cittern; and percussionists Paddy League and Robert Jospe. The dreamy, imaginative wanderings of "A Traveler's Dream" are a treat -- something various and well worth hearing. If you have fun this sort of music, you may like the innovative Celtic- and Renaissance-inspired work of the "classical" group Ensemble Galilei as well. Test also Maggie Sansone's other solo recordings, and "Celtic Mist: Quiet Moods From Ancient Lands", a sampler album showcasing the gentle elegance of different "Maggie's Music" artists.
I first saw this album when going through listmania on for Fresh Age music. This was at the top of one of them, so I went and listened to the samples. I thought it was OK, so I ordered it.But once I got the CD and listened to it once I was hooked. Never have I heard such attractive instrumental melody with such a flare for the Fresh Age style. I love every song on it, but especially track 4.
I am into alternative, punk and jangly power pop bands. Cheap Trick is the only band other than The Beatles that I like that any I know has any albums by. You can hear the Beatles influence here. This is another amazing jangly guitar album that I love, even if some people think this album may be too commercial for their t sure if this is a remaster, because the sound is amazing for an album over 35 years old.
My husband asked me to search this CD for him because he grew up listening to this melody while he was in high school. He evensaw them in concert in California once. He told me he absolutely loved the selections on this. We got other CD's by this groupbut this is by far the best created in our opinion. You will love this one and I should know because he has been playing it non-stopsince he got it.
Kinda weird compared to most android games similar. It's not bad, but there's no context for any of the story, it barely explains anything aside from how to play the mini game, and the happenings are strange and seem random. A girl waking up next to a stranger is not going to just go on to work without that being unresolved. The room decorations are attractive though. Also why am I earning coins in levels just to spend them on more levels? An energy system would be better.
Disappointed... Especially while playing online mode by entering large coins i have earned.. The android game kept saying network problems (even though i have very amazing connections) and automatically come out to home while playing in the middle.. So i have the lost the coins which i invested without losing the game.
