Excellent for my Schacht Flip RHL and makes it steadier to weave, thus speeding up the weaving. Highly recommend.

Amazing stand and makes weaving a breeze. So glad I purchased this right away rather than trying to search the right table to weave on.

I had never tried weaving before. I read some reviews that said this was a amazing loom for beginners. That was absolutely right! I watched a video from Schacht on how to assemble and had the loom together on about 15 minutes. I am not a skilled “builder of things” I watched a video on how to warp the loom. I had it warped in about 20 mins - I was watching the video as I went. Next time, I think I can warp it in about 5-10 minutes.I completed my first scarf in a few hours. It’s very enjoyable.I went back and bought the floor stand for it so I can sit in my comfy chair in the living room. I e already bought 2 more heddles and will weave another scarf or 2 this weekend.I think I’m hooked on weaving now. I bought an Inkle loom and I’m thinking about a wider rigid heddle. If you are thinking about it - go for it. You will be glad you did.

I am a knitter and a handspinner, and weaving seemed to be the next logical step for me. I am having more fun than should be allowed choosing painted rovings, spinning them into yarn, and then seeing how they work together (or not!) in the finished fabric. This loom was simple to assemble and is extremely simple to warp. There is plenty of help and instructional material on Schacht's website, as well as generic rigid heddle info on Ravelry and YouTube. This loom is easy enough for a kid to use, but it isn't a toy---it's a amazing springboard into weaving. I love this loom because you can obtain it warped in a few mins and then just dive in and begin weaving. I would recommend that you spend the additional and the 15" width because it is huge enough to weave little dishtowels, placemats, tote bags, and even clothing.

As I read before I bought it, this loom is not intuitive to assemble. My husband, who is very handy, did it for me and had to look at a few videos to obtain it all at said, I took the loom on a plane in a checked bag to a beginning weaving workshop and it was a very amazing tool. It survived being checked baggage beautifully. It is sturdy and feels substantial in use without being too heavy.I’m looking forward to my next project with it!

    Schacht Inkle Loom []  2019-12-17 20:21

The Schacht Inkle - as distinct from other brands - is built so it is simple to put your hands on the warp to pass the shuttle. This is because ofthe placement of the dowels around which the loom is warped.

This loom is well made, very simple to assemble - took about 20 minutes. I've created my first scarf on it and found it held the tension very well, and was excellent for beginning to weave. I can already see that there will be a lot of more scarves, table runners, wall hangings, etc. that I'll be able to make on this loom. I highly recommend it.

Assembly is required, although it is mostly straightforward. You'll need a screwdriver. Also a Phillips screwdriver. I recommend attaching but not fully tightening all of the screws, and then tightening all screws at once when assembly is unit was mostly nicely made. There were a couple spots were tooling had chipped at the wood and some had broken away, but this only affected aesthetics and not function. None of these issue spots have snagged my yarn stated, this is a amazing loom to begin with. The included reed does seem to be a small too "loose" for worsted yarn, but a finished project (table runner) came out okay.

This is my first pin loom, and I've found it very simple to use. each square doesn't take me 15 mins to do like the instructional video online says, it's more like 30 mins for me, but it's still simple to use and the instructions are very clear.

The Cricket Loom was simple to assemble and weaves without a problem. It is much easier for beginning weavers to master than a four harness loom. I highly recommend The Woolery.

It survived being checked baggage beautifully. It is sturdy and feels substantial in use without being too heavy.I’m looking forward to my next project with it!

Setting up the projects is a bit involved and does take some support from adults (and in my case the directions each time), but once they are set up, she is able to do the weaving on her own and it comes out beautifully! We love how much faster it is than knitting, allowing her to actually complete projects in a reasonable amount of time for a child, and then have the sense of accomplishment that comes with attractive finished projects. The loom itself feels very sturdy and well made, and is pleasant to handle.

I have another Schacht loom and knew my inkle loom would be sturdy. I have woven three bands on it so far and am very pleased.

Fun, small loom. I'm not sure of the usefulness of the squares but it is very portable. I like the box it came in as you can use it to tote around your loom and yarns. Don't pull the yarn too tightly or you'll have problem weaving the needle through.
