    Stand Beautiful []  2020-4-16 18:44

I budgeted enough time in my schedule to read two chapters a day. It fit beautifully into my weekly planner: begin the first chapter Monday and finish the latest Friday. It was ordered and symmetric, as I much 's still Monday, shortly after noon, and I just finished the latest chapter. Now my entire schedule is wrecked, in need of adjustment. And that is fitting. Because, as Chloe Howard shares in her authentically private narrative, adjustment is something that we each may need to do on a regular basis. Each day us a choice to shed the burden of expectation, judgment, and powerlessness in favor of embracing our special self, including our weirdness and is is a refreshing acc of a young human who had to learn to war and learn to love in to start to overcome the challenges, both internal and external, that clamored to define her existence. This is not a fresh story. As Miss Howard describes in her book, it is something most everyone experiences. But the specificity and candor with which Miss Howard shares her tumultuous adventure gives the reader an illuminating insight into her individual struggles while offering a glimpse of the more universal threads that connect us all. Her notice provides to us a spiritual buoyancy.I was concerned that Stand Attractive might veer toward becoming a sermon, but it reads much more as an invitation. Miss Howard locations herself firmly in the camp of a learner, one who is not here to give answers but to share stories and urge us to radically accept ourselves as we are. And that is a welcome message. Though, on a couple of occasions, I lost my put in the chronology of events, the authenticity of the prose quickly drew me back in to the moment. This is a truly enjoyable read.

I was hooked even before I finished reading the introduction!  Chloe is an awesome teenager who was bullied like so a lot of other kids… however, she managed gracefully to channel her anger and brokenness in a positive method to support change the method she looks at herself and encourages others to do the same.  She challenges children to “Stand Beautiful” just the method God made them: PERFECTLY IMPERFECT. As a mom of two boys, I have seen how mean children can be to their peers.  I’ve watched my son be bullied by his “friends” whether it be verbal, physical or psychological.  Nothing is more heartbreaking than to see your children suffer.  The infamous “13 Reasons Why” book/Netflix series also talks about the effects of teen bullying, but the end effect of her suffering is suicide.  Chloe talks about being empowered and finding her strength through her family, melody and God.  If you know of anyone suffering at the hands of teen bullying, this book will bring them hope, comfort and encouragement!!  #StandBeautiful #StandStrong #StandAmazlinglyPerfectlyImperfect

This is a must-read book for all victims of abuse/bullying and their abusers/bulliers. It Is also a must-read for all individuals with physical differences and their health care providers. Chloe’s notice is pertinent and timely. Her communication style is eloquent, engaging, and endearing. This book has changed me. I believe I will be a better doctor for having read her words and for considering this outcome measure which is not found in any published clinical research article that I have written or read. We, as health care providers, cannot create everything normal, but we can and should be better attuned to the difference between medical “success” and patient life experiences. Thank you Chloe.

Congratulations Chloe Howard for sharing your inspiring story and encouraging others to Stand Beautiful!I've known Chloe's story her whole life - having known her mom Lori since she was in college. I knew about her operations, her heartbreak after being bullied at a "Christian" High School, her amazement at Dad Dane's luck winning a meeting with Bono from U2, and all the joy that came out of that meant-to-be introduction - then seeing Chloe soar as she took her story to the other side of the globe in meeting others born with a club foot - and then sharing her story in a book to reach and inspire even more young adults and grownups. I loved hearing Chloe's voice throughout this very well-written book (especially including the #ChloeHashtags), and I hope a lot of others read this book to learn more about how necessary it is for us all to #e story and outcomes are massive on her Christian faith, but it is her story, and I can't fault her for her steadfastness and faith. It is not preachy - just a matter of fact from her perspective. Highly recommended to all needing a attractive story of inspiration and faith.

I know it is a cliché to say, "I couldn't place the book down," but that is how I felt reading Chloe's book (I have it on my Kindle). There were stories that brought tears and also insights she had that brought smiles. Chloe's honesty and willingness to share her innermost thoughts through some really tough times touched my heart. The depth of spiritual insight and empathy she openly writes about in STAND BEAUTIFUL is a challenge to all of us to stand up for what is right and to live in such a method as to be begin to what others are going through....and to stand by them in their need. Her book also gives the powerful notice that we all are attractive in our diversity and the ways that we are made differently. I recommend this book for all ages.

I would not consider myself a reader. However I picked this book up and read it front to back in just 2 days. This book is a will give you inspiration, hope, and the courage to overcome your fears and struggles. Chloe’s book has changed the method that I go about my life and the method that I treat others. I now use the wisdom and guidance that Chloe has written about when aiding my mates and peers during conversations regarding bullying and mental health. This book is a must read for all ages.

STAND Attractive is a truly attractive book about a girl who finds strength in her brokenness. Chloe writes with honesty and poise and I found myself laughing out loud at some points and crying at others. This book is not just for teen girls. It resonated with my middle-aged self and I found my teenage son reading it as well. It's for anyone who has ever felt "less-then" and gives a voice to those who have been shamed by others. This book should be read by anyone who has ever felt alone or unheard.

I picked this us as a method to share with my kids about body security, how to with unexpected assaults on our security and about bullying. I found it interesting that the author felt that a true, unpressured apology would have gone a long method in helping her to heal. I think it's amazing she started a foundation to address this issue. I especially appreciated her fresh understanding that those in charge don't always do what's right- and often that's similar to and status. (bullying did not end after reporting the assault).

I really liked this book. It started off quick and super steamy. They started screwing like rabbits from chapter one. And things remained very interesting while keeping me on my toes until 3/4 of the method through the book. This is when Chloe really started to obtain cold feet and blew off Bennet. I think our attractive @#$%!&? was the highlight of this romance. He was sexy and cocky but he was also vulnerable and hesitant. He wasn't very secure about his ability to hold Chloe. And she never was confident in herself enough to ever place herself out there even though he did several times. Lastly, this book barely touched on thier inner person. We barely obtain to hear about their history or feelings or life away from work and screwing. So while a lot of said this was an epic romance I found it to be more erotica because of its lack of communication and emotional connection. I don't think we even really got a glimpse of thier lived away from work and thier steamy encounters. Could have been epic. I was a total sucker for the bastard too.

I can't [email protected]#$%! because it's so awful. It starts off with a assault/harassment in a conference room and it's all down hill from there. No story line at all, just constant mad and mean words. They are constantly banging and it doesn't even matter where they are. The bathroom at his parent's house during a dinner party, a dressing room at a busy store, stairwells, and the list goes on. Oh Come on!!! One small kiss and they are fornicating on aisle #5 (sarcasm). Zero romance, zero plot, zero fun conversations, zero adult conversations, just a huge fat ZERO if you ask me.

I read my first book by this writer and loved it so I started this series--and I was appalled. The h/h are both powerful people, both beautiful and hard working. Then, one evening (SPOLER ALERT), the character asks her to stay late to meet with him. Alone in the building, he assaults her. He puts his hands on her body and massages her without her consent. I don't know what happened next because I stopped reading. It may be and probably was that she reciprocated but what he did is assault . He touched her body intimately without any lead up to this, no certainty she wanted this other than he was just irresistible. This was written before the #Metoo movements but it was written by TWO WOMEN who should have realized this is creepy. I had this happen to me twice without my consent--a man has no right to use our bodies for their pleasure, to assume "we wish it.". She's alone in a building with her boss who is stronger than she. There is no one to hear her if she screams. This is frightening not sexy.

What a beautiful, attractive b**tard. I think I just feel majorly in love with Bennett and Chloe what a beautifully messed up relationship they shared.I just need to say how much I loved and hated Bennett, I hated how much of an a!?hole he was to everyone but as soon as his POV came around you just couldn’t support but love him and the same goes for Chloe, I hate how much of a pushover she was when it came to Bennett and sex, she stoped thinking about what she actually wanted and gave him what he wanted, that just irks me on so a lot of levels but not enough to knock any stars off because even though they were irritating at times I loved them a whole lot more.I loved the storyline, I love a forbidden romance and that’s exactly what this small beauty was, forbidden. I have to throw in the sex, the was insanely HOT, seriously, wow.I hate that I left it so long to read the beginning book of this series or to read any book by these authors, I want I had begun it earlier than I did.

This was one of those books that I had seen floating around for quite some time. It always seemed like one of the more “popular” contemporary romance books on the shop but one that I never seemed to be able to obtain my hands on. One day I was looking through ebooks and Attractive @#$%!&? popped up so I said “what the hell” and bought it. And I’m so glad that I e book was very accurately named. I loved that Bennett had a powerful personality and that Chloe had an equally as powerful personality and stood up to him so well. Individually, the two of them were extremely persistent and headstrong and together they were the excellent combination. A lot of books with powerful characters usually have a more submissive female, which is perfectly okay if that's the type of dynamic they have fun in the bedroom, but it was refreshing to see a female hero as equally dominating as the is book was a amazing change of pace and I'm really glad that I sank my teeth into it. I'm not sure if I'll continue with the series, simply because I have a lot of other books I need to read, but I do definitely recommend Attractive Bastard. Amazing read!Rating: 4 Stars.

Chloe wants nothing more than to succeed in school and her career but her sexy boss makes life more than difficult she can’t seem to do anything right for him. He treats her like crap. Being a long time mate of the Ryan family she jumped at the possibility to work for their business. When Bennett came home to work for the family his father thought Chloe would be a excellent fit for Bennett to mold her into a amazing employee. Unfortunately they have clashed since day evening one mistake takes their relationship into a whole fresh level. Can they walk away or will it destroy her career and education?I loved this story I can’t wait to read the next one. Christina Lauren has a amazing writing style the book is quick paced and it sucks you in.

What a steamy read! This book was hot and steamy from the first few pages. Chloe is working for a huge media company while going to night school to earn her MBA. Her boss Bennett is a creature who demands only the best from her at all times. He's not polite and disrespects her all the time. They are absolutely wrong for each other yet they end up sharing a hot moment in the office one day. What follows is a passionate affair that spans the entire book with bumps along the way. Chloe falls hard and quick for Bennett and risks her career along the way. What i enjoyed about this book besides the hotness was the changes that Bennett created to be with Chloe. He truly opened up and became the right companion to Chloe while still recognizing her business brilliance along the way. This was a great, hot read!

FINAL DECISION: Funny, sexy and a joy to read. These characters kept me engrossed from the first page. I loved how their relationship began with mad and frustrated and ended up as something much E STORY: Chloe Mills is a hardworking intern working towards her MBA. Her boss, Bennett Ryan, happens to be tough, annoying, brilliant -- and incredibly sexy. Bennett finds Chloe infuriating, but he can't stop thinking about her. When the two cross the line between boss and intern, both wish to deny what is between them, but can't seem to stop. When mad and desperate attraction tempts both to wish something more, the question is whether it is even possible for something more to exist between two demanding independent people.OPINION: I absolutely loved this book. The characters, the sexy, hot interactions between these reluctant lovers. It was such a fun ride! Yes, the scenery is very related to a lot of other books when boss and assistant for example are involved, but here is excecuted perfectly. I don't wish to bother check out the dates, who and when has written related book( "The hate games", or some of the short novels by Whitney Gracia), it's enough for me that I enjoyed this one a lot. For me, their story had : depth, intelligence, dialogue, pation, and everything just created sense! And what's more? No painful past! No hidden secrets and no enemies! Wow! I guess a amazing book doesn't need the recept of thousands other romance books! These two were just clever, ambitious and perfectionists, highly determined to create the most of their careers!

This book has gotten so a lot of 5-star reviews and was at the top of a bunch of Listopias that were up my alley, so I was interested to read it to see if it lived up to all the hype. In short, beautiful much... yeah. VERY steamy! Basically, the book description is your set-up because in chapter 1 (without much exposition), they obtain it ON. Not in a Fifty Shades method (which I actually appreciated about this one), but in a "hate to wish you but can't support myself so do me now" way. Early. Often. And with varying degrees of remorse/confusion/angst/bliss/etc. after each Mills is an intern at the major company in Chicago where she has been employed since college. She has worked for the CEO and his older son (who both appreciate her hard work and like her), but now reports to the younger son to whom she refers to as "Beautiful @#$%!&?" because he is drop dead gorgeous but is always a total @#$% to her. She has had to place up with him for several months, and to date, their relationship mainly consists of him giving her crap and her rolling with the punches while biding her time knowing she is the best at what she does and once she completes this multi-million dollar (which doubles as her master's thesis), she has her ticket punched for whatever and wherever she wants. But while "Mr. Ryan" infuriates her, she also can't support but appreciate the nnett Ryan has always been a perfectionist, and he demands it from all of those who work for him, including Miss Mills with her stony silences and [email protected]#$%...ets. Bennett knows to never mix business with pleasure, and he has worked his off to obtain to where he is as a businessman in his own right; now that he has returned to assume a leadership role in the company his family built, he cannot afford to be distracted. But as tough as he is on her, he can't support but appreciate both her ability to manage him and her feminine wiles. Does she wear those work clothes to intentionally torment him? How can he possibly be attracted to her when she is such a @#$%! to him most of the time?

BB is one of my all-time favorites. I read most in the series as they were released, until recently. When I realized how far behind I was in getting to Attractive Secret (Released in April 2015: part of the Attractive Series and connected also to Christina Lauren’s Wild Seasons Series) I decided to give this series a re-read and also read Wild Seasons for the first time. The eighteenth floor of Ryan Media Group is full of heat, laughter, love, hate, friendship, and power. All this and more awaits you during a "Beautiful" reading is a contemporary, romantic comedy and in my opinion, it couldn’t have gotten the balance between steamy and hilarious any better. There is a LOT of sex; I think it’s very rare to finish even one chapter without some sort of graphic steamy stage once the characters give in to one another. It isn’t overly kinky or full of fetishes but it is descriptive, sheet gripingly good. Then, on the flip side, it is also hilarious. Bennett and Chloe are full of one-liners, sarcastic quips, and give and take boundary pushing. The method these two push each other’s buttons will have you laughing out loud.I’m a fan of the ‘chase’ in my romance novels; very rarely, unless it’s done in a supremely intriguing method am I a fan of ‘insta-love.’ With BB the two women who create up Christina Lauren obtain the chase so right for me. Perfection is an understatement. There is: back and forth, highs and lows, verbal sparing and foreplay, passion, tension, heat, chemistry, and even hate. Bennett and Chloe begin out despising each other despite their physical attraction (said physical attraction may also play a part in their mutual distaste as a romance between the two is forbidden since she is his intern). Through out this first novel they navigate their feelings while having to hold whatever is event between them a secret and trying to understand what it means when hate starts to turn into longing and nnett Ryan is the epitome of perfection in the successful, powerful, wealthy, book boyfriend form. I am not always a fan of the domineering strong types as I have grievances with the overly controlling man outside of the bedroom. A book boyfriend telling his leading lady what she is “allowed” to eat for lunch just really doesn’t do it for me. But Bennett Ryan is the strong man done right. He is intense, anal, and critical but he has fallen for a powerful woman and no part of him wants to tone her down, no matter how frustrating she can be. He finds a woman who challenges him and can be his equal and knows that she only makes him a better man. This is the powerhouse alpha I can obtain behind (and I wouldn’t mind him getting behind me either!!).Chloe Mills is the strong, self confident, and successful leading lady I love to read in my stories. I adore reading about woman whom I could strive to be more like; woman who present that being feminine and sexy while taking care of business is an beautiful quality. Chloe dresses for herself, in a manor that makes her feel sexy and strong from the work appropriate, fashionable dresses and suits to the skimpy and risqué garters and panties from La Perla. She isn’t going to allow her boss intimidate her and she’s only going to use his gruff and overbearing tendencies as a motivator to be better at what she takes these two a while to push away the fear of opening up to someone, figure out how to not ruin either of their careers, and see the possibilities of a future together but as I said, I welcome the chase. So if instant gratification is your thing then BB may not be for you. Bennett has a dirty, dirty mouth and that is something Chloe and I both love about him, who wouldn’t?! Also Chloe has amazing mates (who we see more of in later novels) and powerful bonds, mates or a lover is a plus in my book. Once Bennett realizes the line between hate and love is thin and frail and he has long ago crossed it, he shows he is a man who will place himself out there and tell you what he wants emotionally. There is nothing better than I man who can look you in the eye and tell you how he feels about you, even when he’s scared and your not ready yet.I think that the only negative thing I can say (and it isn't really even about the books)... is that the book numbering and reading is very confusing. It wasn't too poor for me because I read them as they came out but for someone who is fresh to the series I could see how it would be extremely frustrating. I am assuming that some novellas in the series were not planned from the beginning and there is more than one book labeled as (for instance) book 3. I checked on various book websites and while a lot of authors place up a clear series - book reading I could not search this for the Attractive Series. The only reliant method I saw to figure it out was to check the publication dates on each book. This is just a friendly warning for any fresh readers so they can create sure they are reading the books in the that is intended.I think whenever you can…do…and have fun being able to re-read a full series it’s obvious that it is something special. I will never grow tired of Bennett, Chloe, and the whole Attractive Series. Also worth mentioning, BB has been granted a film so if you haven’t already read then it may be a amazing idea to obtain on it, before the film comes around (no idea when that’s happening) if you’re the type of person who likes to read the book before seeing the film (as I am)! BB is worth all the fan-fare it receives and it will always remain one of my favorites in the romance genre!

The bickering, two independent and fierce people finding out that they are excellent for one is is the only the second Christina Lauren book that I have read (although my review of JOSH AND  HAZEL'S GUIDE TO NOT DATING is upcoming as of the date of this review). This book was so amazing that I immediately began reading the second book in the series.I loved that these two characters are engaged in intense erotica type encounters, but that the book always remains rooted in the characters and not what body parts go nnett is kind of a jerk when the book starts, but by the end, I began to see him differently. These two are hot and fiery and I loved their is an independent business woman. And I really liked that the conflicts between her and Bennett respect her intelligence and her business acumen. The two have some serious bumps on the method to their HEA, but the story is never bogged down with stupid decisions or brainless encounters. These two are intelligent and hot and is book is just fun. The pages went incredibly quick and I devoured this book. I loved the turnaround of the normal story. Sex first and then the relationship. And yet, there is always something connecting these characters. Strong, vibrant people who have a deep passion for one another and war their method to a satisfied ending.WORTH MENTIONING: This book is told in alternating first person points of NNECTED BOOKS: BEAUTIFUL @#$%!&? is the first book in the Attractive RATING: I give this book 5 stars.

After dealing with his conflicting feelings for months, Bennett believes he just needs to obtain it out of his system and finally goes for it in the conference room he finds himself alone with her in after hours... and she doesn't stop him. But that encounter doesn't satisfy him; it only makes him wish more. And the same thing happens the next time. And the next time. And the.... you obtain the picture. This situation is out of control, and both Bennett and Chloe search themselves in a position they are entirely unfamiliar with how to proceed. What I liked:--- Very powerful chemistry between the 2 MCs who were likeable in various ways (though Bennett had to grow on me a small bc he was beautiful much a total at first)--- The interactions they had gave me more than a few chuckles - the humor enhanced the story--- Their bickering was what inflamed things in the first place; it was amusing to see them do verbal war and then throw each other up versus walls/wrap legs around and go to town--- STEAMY GOODNESS - and my specific brand (not too graphic/over the top with info but very steamy and HOT); no BDSM elements (not that I don't have fun it now and then, but it is overdone in the workplace in a post-Fifty world); they stuck with the basics (meaning mostly main happening and a couple oral sessions); and method the author built things up between them, you could feel how they basically wanted to inhale each other which was hotWhat I didn't like as much:--- Not much; I want there was an epilogue because I felt a small cheated without it (mostly I wanted SPOILER to see them together, together --- for most of the book, it was them trying to figure things out with each other; I would have liked to see them as a true couple at least for a small while END SPOILER--- A small too much angst at time SPOILER specifically, the separation at the end of the book seemed to go on much longer than important END SPOILER--- More than a small weird that they were banging each other and still calling each other "Mr. Ryan" and "Miss Mills" until about the 70% tag of the bookOverall, a humorous enemies-to-lovers read with workplace shenanigans and STEAMY goodness galore!Plot --- 4.5/5Main Characters --- 4.5/5Supporting Cast --- 4/5Steam Level* --- 4/5Violence --- noneLanguage --- somePOV --- Dual*Note that steam level is not a rating so much as a how hot was it: 0/5 - clean; 1/5 - mild; 2/5 - sensual but nothing descriptive; 3/5 - now we're getting somewhere; 4/5 - yes please! ; 5/5 - they did EVERYTHING in this one, y'all

    Beautiful @#$%!&? []  2020-1-22 22:15

Stand Beautiful: A story of brokenness, beauty and embracing it all []  2020-1-17 23:45

Stand Beautiful: A story of brokenness, beauty and embracing it all []  2020-1-17 23:45

With the exception of an Arts & Crafts style specific one (think: house porn: it's all super attractive and method too expensive for mere mortals), this is my favorite. The colors, designs & styles appeal the most and I occasionally obtain a amazing idea from it. Either way, it soothes my spirit to see photos of the pretty, clean, serene houses.

I also subscribe to Better Homes and Gardens and this one is more high-end and not as amazing if you're looking for affordable DIY projects.

    Beautiful Darkness []  2020-1-12 18:34

After roughly a year and a half, I though it was time to visit Gatlin,South Carolina again.I dove into the second book in the Attractive Monsters series. Lena Duchannes has just come back from the horrific fire under the sixteenth moon, that claimed the life of her beloved Uncle Macon. Her guilt over being the cause of his death pushes her over the edge and she has run away with a strange and strong han, new from having his life saved in said horrific fire, is stung by Lena's seeming rejection of him. And Link, Ethan's best buddy stands by his mate and continues to be the comedic foil as they embark on a quest to save Lena from is what it has been, over the top teenage angst. However, this book gives more depth to the the adult and senior citizen set of the strange small town. People are not always what they appear to be. And the other worldly Casters and their very strange family tree branch off in fresh e book dragged at times, but over all it was a decent sophomore effort. And the children have just finished their sophomore year. At the end of the book, they are anticipating their junior year. So will start Book three I presume.

I was a small worried when I cracked begin this one. It's been quite a few years since I read the first one. The info were extremely fuzzy, and I have to be honest that they never really came back to me. But, I read on and really enjoyed the story.I think what threw me for a loop was that Lena is definitely not that same hero that I remembered. Lena has always seemed intense, but managed to create the best of her situation. Plus, she had a deep connection with Ethan. All that seems lost in the beginning of this book. I understood part of it because her uncle Macon died during her claiming ceremony. But, I thought she took to much blame upon herself. She was trying so hard to convince herself that she was evil. Before hurting anybody else she loves, including Ethan, she begins to follow Ridley and a mysterious newcomer. They promise her peace and land rumored to exist. But, what will the cost be to obtain han is the rock in this book, a hero trait and perhaps a flaw as well. I'm truly glad that he never gave up on Lena. Even though we eventually learn there is a reason for his connection to Lena, he knew that her actions were not a reflections of who she really was. All he required to do was to lead her the right way. It was making her see that the choices she created the night of her claiming did not create her evil. He will follow her through to the end, even defying those who claim the globe she lives in is to much for her.I love how we learn more about the Caster globe in this book. I don't remember the first one giving away this much detail, from the keepers role to the tunnels. It's much more involved than I thought. I loved the introduction of Liv to the story. It gave it the slight indication of a love triangle, even though I knew that there really was no one else for Ethan but Lena. And as always, I loved Link and Ridley. I'm looking forward to the next one. Perhaps it won't take me as long to read it.

After seeing the film I read the first of this series. Once I started the series, of course I had to read them all. I’m surprised the film wasn’t more popular. I liked it a lot. This wasn’t an awesome YA series, but it was entertaining. Maybe since it has a younger feel than the characters in the series are, that makes it less appealing. I could see where middle schoolers and younger high school students would have fun this series more than older groups. There’s far less and violence, which is a huge pull for this age demographic.

    Beautiful Chaos []  2020-1-18 21:10

My 3 star rating here has nothing to do with whether or not this was a amazing solid book, but rather my private enjoyment of it.I'd say the cover photo is a beautiful amazing depiction of the characters, but I found myself increasingly frustrated that at no point in the story, was I told how old they were. I feel as a basis for the story, it is so necessary to know their ages, as this goes a long method toward helping the reader sympathize with, empathize with, or generally relate to them. Ages are alluded to but never e same goes for the somewhat vague physical description of the guys.I realize that on the strength of the fact that this book focuses predominantly on the mental condition of the guys, perhaps the authors deliberately omitted those details, but for me this consistently took me out of the story, and I found it very difficult to engage in the story as a for the story itself, I found it to be well written, immaculately edited (no typos or grammatical errors) and thoroughly researched, making the happenings in the story believable and is is not an simple or a comfortable read by any stretch of the imagination, but a worthwhile read in that most of us know so small about the topic matter in this story.Apart from, as other reviewers have pointed out, the chances of escape from a serial assassin are limited, and here, the escape just seemed far too easy, agoraphobia, we know, is a very true t, how a lot of of us understand just how debilitating it is?So this was is is my first time reading a collaboration with these two authors, but have read several of their separate works, and certainly one cannot go wrong with d work!Standalone read for heat and other content.

Wow....just WOW. Riley and Devon took me down an emotional journey with this one. I couldn't obtain enough. Silas an guy that survived a serial assassin and his fear lead him to a life trapped inside his home, watching his neighborhood through his window. His fresh neighbor Corey a bipolar man who works in a bookstore trying to search himself after living through an abusive relationship. He catches Silas watching him and once Corey finds out Silas is agoraphobic he befriends him and they begin sending window messages....that lead to texting and video chatting. One of Corey's cats obtain out and Silas coaches it into his home where Corey and him meet face to face for the first time. From there a self destructive relationship blooms into everlasting love. A love so powerful they both decide that they need to heal before they can be together. ( Lots more going on in between all that but I didn't wish to spoil the book completely for others)

This was a really attractive story of two broken men who search each other, both surprised at how much the other just makes them breathe easier. Two very traumatized souls who had actuallygiven up hope of any life other than simply existing from one day to the next, for years. Till one moved into the house next door to the other. What began with fast notes to each other and progressed to texting and video chatting soon became a true life to them both, and this was a beautifully told love story by two really amazing authors. The authors are a amazing partnership themselves. I enjoyed this book very much, and I’ve yet to read anything by Riley Hart I didn’t just gobble up and truly love...I look forward to reading more from Devon McCormack ! Like all of Riley’s books, especially “Depth of Field” and “Color Me In”, this is one I’ll be rereading over and over!

This book is one that I have never seen before. I love everything about it. Both of my children (ages 4 and 2) typically don't like books, but they are intrigued by the a lot of various pages in this book. I bought this book because my son is not into drawing, coloring, or any crafts whatsoever. He is also a perfectionist who feels that if he can't draw something perfect, he won't test and wants everyone to do it for him. He loved this book and it has inspired me to have my children use their creativity if I "accidentally" rip a piece of is author has taken one's imagination and turned it into an awesome piece of art. Beautifully done.

I love children's books and often them as birthday bonuses for my friend's kids or my own daughter. I purchased this one to give with an art set. Before wrapping it, I read it to my daughter and she loved it. It is a attractive story of turning lemons into lemonade and finding the beauty in things that others may not notice. Would recommend it to anyone with kids age 3 - grade school.

    Beautiful Redemption []  2020-1-14 19:40

When I was in 9th grade, my English teach spent an extraordinary amount of time teaching us about the Hero's Journey. We read books, wrote essays, and watched the Star Battles films all so we could better understand this pivotal part of so a lot of stories all around the autiful Redemption is the conclusion to the Castor Chronicles series. It ties everything together. As I was reading, I noticed something. There was a Hero's Journey inside a Hero's Journey. Ethan must complete his own journey in to obtain back to the person he loves most. More importantly, Attractive Redemption is the final leg of the Hero's Journey of Ethan and Lena together. That 9th grade English class created me appreciate this even more.I don't really wish to talk much about how the story unfolds; I feel anything I say might give away a secret. I will say that my earlier complaint, about there being some filler instead of moving the story along, wasn't even a minor problem in this novel. Something was always event and each small thing was important. Every step Ethan takes leads him somewhere and every plan Lena forms gets them closer to the h Ethan and Lena grow in this novel. They have to face their demons in to continue along their journey. They have to face a globe where they aren't together and search a method to obtain back to each other. They each learn that they are powerful individually, but together there is nothing that can stop them. And they do all of this without having whiny teen autiful Redemption is exactly what I wanted from the end of this series. Loose ends are tied up, private demons are faced, and Ethan and Lena learn to be the people they need to be going forward. Everything wasn't happy, but it was amazing. Stunning conclusion that makes closing that latest page wonderfully bittersweet.

The final book in the Caster Chronicles (#4) definitely did not disappoint. When #3 ended, Ethan has jumped off the water turret to save Gatlin and everyone in it from the chaos that resulted when Lena went through her claiming. But this was never supposed to happen - Ethan dying - so he goes through a lot of horror filled challenges in to bring Gatlin (and Ethan) back to seasons, peace and harmony (if you could say Gatlin was all of these???) rather than the horrendous heat and lubbers - you will have to read book 3. What I loved about this book was the deep abiding love Ethan and Lena share and his love of his grandmother, Amma and Marian (his mom's best mate and librarian). I liked Macon so much more in this book and I enjoyed the changes in John Brown (remember how he took Lena away from Ethan?) and his love for Liv and his allegiance to Ethan and Lena. Always interesting is Ridley and she is back taunting Link, who proves to be a very cool Incubus in this final book. This was a very satisfying end to the series and I will be reading the other series, Risky Monsters too!

I want I had more attention to the other reviewer who pointed out that the volume varies to a amazing degree from one song to the next. In other words, "it's all over the place" between loud and soft. I want I hadn't bought this cd. Well, lesson learned!
