I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading the novel, but within a few pages I was hooked. There were a few characters I truly liked and a few I could do without. The one criticism I do have is the amount of characters, there were just too many. So much so that it got to the point where I would skip sections dealing with one cast of characters to obtain to the characters I liked. I think the author could have been a small tighter in his writing if he had fleshed out a few characters. Instead I am left with a shallow feeling about most of the characters. The scenes in the book were not graphic but they were overwhelmingly homosexual which I understand given the writer's prior works. However I would have liked a more balanced approach. I appreciate dark humor and I was not disappointed. I eagerly await the sequel to this book.

    The Harbinger []  2020-1-14 19:19

It is not a poor book. Unfortunately, this is evident only after about 30% of the book or even further into it. It is hard to obtain through the first part while the virus hasn't yet killed everyone off, so I understand the reviewer who dropped the book after an hour. I had to force myself to read ahead more than at said, the book is a typical post apocalyptic plot with very slight twists. The ending is quite predictable - you can see it though from about 70 percent of the book or earlier. One of the most irritating things (again in the first third of the book) is what felt as an insult to the reader's intelligence. The author showed how various people got ill through the contact with other people, and this is a amazing twist. The poor part was that each time one person met some other persons the author just had to say that they became infected loudly and clearly every single time. I would think that was self evident, but no. Very insulting to the readers mental abilities, to my mind. And of course the description of Russia is so flat, cartoonish and far-fetched that I didn't know should I laugh or cry with frustration. But the book gets better gradually. The best part for me was the description of interpersonal relations. How various people reacted to the crisis and how it brought out not only amazing in them. How very various people survived, including mentally unstable people, and how they all dealt with each if you think that you can push through the first section of the book, you should give it a try.

Awesome read!!!! The author did extraordinary job of developing the characters and making the reader really connect and feel the story. I have read a lot of books by Keegan Kennedy and though this was a far various read, it still held up to his high standards and awesome story lines!!!

I liked this book for the number of characters in the book coming from ethnic and minorities, people that usually don't obtain mentioned in other books except in passing, but in this book are both necessary and plentiful. Loved it.

This book is okay not my cup of tea it just screams for diversity and it’s a small preachy of the authors private views on things it bleeds into the story you’ll see. I want there was more fear and gore instead of having one of the main characters trying to support a trans search for his/her hormones.

I will be the first to admit that l will place a book down and never pick it back up if it does not peak my interest within the first chapter. That being said the Harbinger not only peaked my interest; it grabbed my attention and kept ing a writer myself; althought admittedly not even close to the caliber of this author I know how necessary it is to build characters your readers can relate to. This author does a famonial job of providing a cast of characters that are as complex and special as his readers are; making each hero someone the reader can relate to or identity e story line and the special cast of characters flows so fluently that as a reader you feel like you are part of the story. Not only do you explore whom you like and dislike you as far as characters go also search some you like exceptional well; maybe even wishing they were is books takes the reader on an epic journey.A assassin plauge sweeps the world in a manner of days wiping out nearly every living monster in it's destructive path. However this is no plauge like you or I could even start to imagine. Those that survive are as surprised as the readers to learn that the after effects are as puzzling as they are scary.I could go on and on here but will end by saying this book is beyond a amazing read. It is mind blowing, and I know if it ever became a film it would be the best think to ever come alive on the huge screen! You need to read this will change you!!

Sort of original take on the whole zombie genre that's more thought out than the usual fare. Also the lead in, detailing the lives of the major characters prior to the, you know, zombie apocalypse, is always more welcome than the standard the-world-ended-here's-how-people-are-coping, with life before appearing in often cryptic flashbacks and dark reminiscences. I'm more a fan of the process of the globe falling apart than the aftermath, so thumbs up. Could use an editor, as some dialogue is stilted and forced. Also, it would benefit from losing the occasional, if not frequent, lazy lefty references. Stephen Harper = horrible? But President Liz Warren drives a heavy fascist-tactic coverup -- but it's really only to support the survivors? Why place grit in the salad of half your readers? Genre readers who, I would suggest, run a small more center-right than left. Inclusion of characters is great, and while I hate the word, the diversity of the characters is refreshingly honest and realistic. Despite the criticisms, I very much enjoyed the book, and look forward to more.

Our country is on a path like ancient Israel by ignoring God and God is sending warnings (like Israel) to turn or be destroyed. Once you read this, the news takes on a various view, of Who is in control and it is not Washington.

Very informative. I have the book but haven't had time to read it yet. This was a amazing summation of the author and gave snippets about the book. It was very cool to see and hear from the author and how exactly the book came about and was ultimately published. You can see God's hand all over the telling of this information. I highly recommend buying this dvd and passing it around to your friends. I pray that it opens the eyes of God's people and we repent and come back to him with a love and passion like the globe has never seen. I can't wait to read the book.

If you are unable to read the book The Harbinger, this DVD will clearly and visually present you what Jonathan Cahn is talking about! I did a write up for the book as a "must read," this is just as amazing if not better as it brings it to life! A true eye opener of how things that are event in the globe today are tied to things that happened in Ancient Israel times. This depicts the reality of what happens when we take God out of our country. Pray for our country!! Come to know Jesus Christ if you do not know Him personally !!

The book is great!! If you read it first, there really isn't any point in watching the DVD. The DVD is just a brief over view of the book. It is rather a disappointment, but the book is well worth the read and gives you a lot of factual info and a lot to ponder.

This movie represents the book extremely well, it gives a amazing base for each zone that is addressed in the book w/out spending too much time on any one aspect. The narration is exceptional, Mr. Cahn does a superb job in delivering the notice in a method that will draw in the curious, the researcher, the doubter or the skeptic with precision and validity.

Do you think the Christian Bible can really predict the future? Just carefully read this book and have your Bible available to look things up. You will be amazed! I originally saw the DVD, and was absolutely will wish to share this with your friends. For my own studying, the book is the best method to go. It basically is the DVD, but in print. So if I wish to go back and re-read something, or look up some reference in the Bible, I don't have to continually pause the video, or re-play part of it.

I have been following JONATHAN CAHN for years, since his first "THE HARBINGER" book was released. Also, I have been on The Begin Squad for "THE ORACLE" & now, "THE HARBINGER II". All of Jonathan Cahn's books are so awesome. However, this fresh release, "THE HARBINGER II" is the best, yet. It is A MUST READ for this hour in time. Everyone who wants to know God's prophetic clock for America & the globe should read his recent book.

The Harbinger II: The Return []  2020-9-2 18:0

He got my attention with The Harbinger. I knew nothing about it, not sure why I became interested and it was about 4 years after it’s release when I picked it up. I started reading and I couldn't place it down. I finished it the next day. I have read Biblical prophecy books before but nothing like this. It is written as a novel, but it’s based on true events which with a small internet research can easily be verified. The method it ties together with ancient mysteries from the Bible is what is so mind blowing. America's founding is patterned after the founding of ancient Israel and the nations demise are lining up identically as well. No method all this could be a coincidence. The odds would be astronomical! The Harbinger 2 picks up where the other left off and answers a lot of unanswered questions from the first. The first novel only told what happened up to a point, before the fresh Turret was built. The Harbinger 2 completes the tale. Yes, the fresh Turret is a Harbinger and includes more Harbingers. The second story verifies even more ties of America to ancient Israel’s fall. When I finished I had no doubt. Time for America is running out. America must return to God if she is to survive. We’ve done it our own method for so long and how’s that worked out? We’ve seen the poor harvest of going our own method without God. 2020 has been a strange year, with COVID-19, the riots and the heart breaking fate of the kids and one shaking after another. It’s all in the book and how it all ties together and why. This one is as riveting as the first. Hard to place down. The latest chapter, The Day Of The Watchman, left me sitting and staring off into the distance for some time after I finished reading. Again, no method all this could be a coincidence.

I was blessed to be a part of the begin squad for Jonathan Cahn’s newest book, “The Harbinger 2: The Return.” I have read all of his books and had the privilege of seeing him in person once. I have been deeply moved by each one of his books!!! I received an advance reader copy of The Harbinger 2: The Return in exchange for an honest unbiased review. I was sooooo excited to have this opportunity!!!! I was NOT disappointed!!!! This book is awesome and humbling at the same time! The book is told in narrative form, picking up nine years after the first book, The Harbinger. All of the chaos event all over the globe is brought into laser focus. The detailed ways that God is reaching out trying to obtain our attention are all laid out and can be researched and confirmed from multiple sources (which I did!). It will grip your mind, your thoughts, your faith and your heart!!!! God is calling us to return to Him. Please listen!I highly recommend reading this book which comes out today! It’s one of those books that blows your mind and you can hardly place it down! You won’t be disappointed!!!!

I received my advanced purchased copy of Harbinger II yesterday afternoon (9/1) and just finished it. I read for hours till bedtime. About 3am woke up and picked it up again. While I have read most of Jonathan's previous work, I was still blown away. As I read and he references a current happening or biblical reference, I go look it up to verify what I am reading. I do not rely only on his extensive references. If you are trying to create sense of current events, I encourage you to read this book. But, once you do, you can no longer say that you didn't know! Time is short and what we decide to do with it is crucial!

The Harbinger II: The Return []  2020-9-2 18:0

When A False Teacher Calls America “Israel”Many people believe that Jonathan Cahn is a modern day prophet and that his books include “special revelation.” For this reason his books have become best sellers, especially in Christian circles. His first book, The Harbinger sold like hotcakes and as a effect he became a sought after speaker and frequent guest on the radio talk present circuit. And now his most latest book, The Harbinger II is also destined to become a best seller.I urge our brethren to exercise extreme caution–and spiritual discernment–before diving into one of Jonathan Cahn’s books. First Allow me state from the outset that I'm not in denial that America and the nations of the globe for that matter are currently experiencing God's Judicial Wrath. They have been since ancient biblical times. And this is quite obvious given the current circumstances in 2020. All one has to do is go to any bible study tool www service and type in the find bar God's wrath upon the nathan Cahn, a famous Christian author, claims that his books reveal mysteries and predict the future. He thus portrays himself as like the Biblical prophets, including the claim of having fresh revelations. The main point of his books The Harbingers 1&2 is that America is a second Israel. I will present you that these claims are false and that Cahn is not a real prophet of phets Reveal MysteriesThe apostle Paul claims that he was chosen by God to reveal mysteries as were the other apostles. The gospel itself was the mystery of which he spoke. We see this in Ephesians 3:"that by revelation there was created known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not created known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel" (Ephesians 3:3-6)A mystery is something that would not be known had God not chosen to reveal it through His appointed spokes persons. These are Moses and the prophets in the Old Testament, and Christ and His appointed apostles and prophets in the Fresh Testament. The writings of the Biblical prophets in Scripture are inerrant and infallible. In the Scriptures God has revealed all the mysteries that will be known to us until Christ ever, Jonathan Cahn, who is not one of the Biblical prophets, claims to reveal mysteries: “The Harbingers 1&2 are not only revealing mysteries but also the sounding of the alarms.”Cahn’s claim to be a revealer of mysteries is powerful and severely problematic: “Much that will be revealed in these books has never before been revealed in written form” (Cahn: 2). This is a rather bold claim that rivals and echoes the apostle Paul’s cited above. He claims to have unique revelation like the biblical authors. The issue is that Cahn did not see the resurrected Christ and was not appointed by Him like Paul and the other apostles. Cahn has no standing as an apostle or prophet and his writings are not binding as Scripture ferencing his previous book Cahn repeats his grand claim: “The Harbinger book 1 contains14 major revelations or mysteries” (Cahn: 4). Unlike Paul and the other apostles, Cahn was not personally taught by Christ, but he still claims prophetic status based on subjective, inner voices: “I heard an inner voice say, ‘There’s a mystery here. You must seek and search it” (Cahn: 9). Religious leaders claiming unique revelations and unique status are nothing new. Hundreds of false groups have started that way. We need to decide CAREFULLY whether to believe anyone who claims unique revelation above and beyond Scripture. When Questions Imply Everything and Teach NothingConfusionOne of the annoying characteristics of a lot of postmodern writers is to use questions that seem to create a claim but have built-in deniability. They ask questions but refuse to create objective statements, thus creating confusion while appearing to teach something. Cahn follows a related process, filling his books with suggestive questions so that readers have to scour through every word (as I did) to search out if these are meant to be definitive statements. For example: In his book the Mystery of the Shemitah and I quote: “Could the mystery of the Shemitah still be at work—moving, impacting, and altering the course of globe history—even in the modern world, even in our day”? (Cahn: 42). So he creates confusion with a question, when in fact this is a claim he is making—which I will present is a false one. The Law of Moses that requires cancelling all debts every seven years is not binding on any nation but ONLY Israel in the Old Testament, so it can hardly be the key to globe history. Cahn is the master at sowing America the Fresh Israel as Mr. Cahn claims in Harbingers 1&2?Cahn often repeats what I call our national myth—that America is somehow the fresh Israel. This myth goes back to beginning of our history but cannot be sustained by any biblical standard. The myth is based on the belief that man can unilaterally create a covenant and bind God to it, without God having agreed to anything. Cahn claims, “Embedded in America’s foundation is a prophetic warning. The warning was given on America’s first day as a nation. It concerns what will happen if America should ever turn away from God” (Cahn: 21). For such a warning to be valid and binding, it would have to be issued by an infallible prophet who speaks for God, in this case, beyond scripture. Who, exactly, is America’s Moses, or Jesus, or the apostles? Lacking any such person, God cannot have stated that America is the Fresh Israel and has a binding covenant with her. That God does as Mr. Cahn claims is our national e truth is that God draws out the boundaries of all nations through His providence. The truths revealed in Romans 13 and elsewhere about how Christians relate to civil governments applied to Rome when Paul wrote and all civil governments in history. Only Israel was directly established by God and had a binding covenant mediated through Moses who God chose and appointed. America has neither a Moses nor a binding covenant. We are not the fresh Israel and never have been. The moral laws of God that do apply are found in the Bible and they apply to all people in all hn falsely claims that any nation can become a covenant nation: “Such a prophetic sign could be given to any nation as long as that nation in some method matched the description or shared the attributes of ancient Israel in 586 BC” (Cahn: 56). Cahn obviously fails to understand what Moses taught in Deuteronomy 32:8, 9. Only Israel was directly under Yahweh, all the other nations are under the “sons of God.” No other nations had an Exodus, a Sinai, or a Moses. All nations are ruled by God’s providence and are under the principalities and powers (‘sons of God’ of Deuteronomy 32:8). America is no exception. Cahn again repeats our national myth in Harbingers 1&2: “Those who founded America not only foretold its future blessing—but also gave warning. It was this: If America ever turned away from God, then the same judgments that fell upon ancient Israel would fall upon America” (Cahn: 61). Israel had Moses and the prophets who spoke inerrantly for God. Who speaks bindingly for God beyond Scripture for America? There is no such person unless of course you've been duped into believing it's Mr. Cahn, America's so called Prophet. By the way, for those who are wondering what is the real identity of the Prophet in both Harbingers; IT'S NONE OTHER THAN JONATHAN CAHN HIMSELF!I reject Cahn’s claim that America is somehow the Fresh Israel. All the moral laws of God always apply to all peoples in all nations. They are revealed in Scripture. All geo-political entities have boundaries that are drawn out by God in His providence and have leaders that His providence allows. In these necessary ways America is like all other nations. We are not Israel. Furthermore, no man or nation has the power or authority to bind God to a man-made, unilateral covenant. Unilateral covenants in the Bible are established by God, not man. We need to reject the myth that America is a unique covenant nation and begin thinking Biblically rather than me final thoughts:Many things combine to create the show increase of false prophets and their doctrines especially dangerous. 1.) There is an undeniable zeal in some teachers of error—their “earnestness” makes a lot of people think they must be right. 2.) There is a amazing appearance of learning and theological knowledge—many think that such clever and intellectual men must surely be safe to listen to. 3.) There is a general tendency to completely and independent thinking today—many like to prove their independence of judgment by believing the newest ideas, which are nothing but novelties. 4.) There is a wide-spread desire to appear kind, loving, and open-minded—many seem half-ashamed to say that anybody can be wrong or is a false teacher. 5.) There is always a portion of half-truth taught by modern false teachers–they are always using scriptural words and phrases, but with unscriptural meaning. 6.) There is a public craving for a more sensational and entertaining worship—people are impatient with the more inward and invisible work of God within the hearts of men. 7.) There is a superficial readiness all around to believe anyone who talks cleverly, lovingly and earnestly, forgetting that Satan often masquerades himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians:11:14). 8.) There is a wide-spread ignorance among professing Christians—every heretic who speaks well is surely believed, and anyone who doubts him is called narrow-minded and unloving. All these are especially symptoms of our times. I challenge any honest and observant person to deny them. These tend to create the assaults of false doctrine today especially risky and create it even more necessary to say loudly, “Do not be carried away with strange doctrine!” A lot of cult leaders claim to have a direct pipeline to God. The teachings of cult leaders often change and, hence, they need fresh revelations to justify such changes. In view of this deluge of prophetic counterfeits, believers have an unparalleled need for a deeper understanding of authentic Christianity. For it is impossible to recognize a prophetic fraud unless we have an understanding of what is prophetically genuine. Error can only be correctly measured over versus the truth of God's inerrant word. The fact is, cult leaders are NOTORIOUS SCRIPTURE TWISTERS. When dealing with cults, one must hold in mind that they are always built not upon what the bible teaches, but upon what the FOUNDERS/LEADERS OF THE RESPECTIVE CULTS SAY THE BIBLE r more info I invite you to on my www service which can be located on my profile page here @Amazon.I highly recommend you watch the following documentary movie on You Tube for free:"The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers" by Adullam Films, written & directed by Christian J. Pinto. The full presentation is 3 hours long, and covers the beliefs of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, and John Adams. The movie also gives a Biblical view of what these men ACTUALLY BELIEVED, and how their philosophies are acknowledged in Bible prophecy.

The Harbinger II: The Return []  2020-9-2 18:0

This book was delivered after Midnight and I decided to stay up and read a few chapters. I should've known better because I couldn't place it down. If you haven't read the previous book, READ IT NOW! I'm not saying you're going to be lost, but you'll probably be lost without the insights and background of the previous "Harbinger" e revelation knowledge that is shared in this book is off the charts and almost wonderful because so a lot of things about what's event currently lines up with what's in this book. Is it scary? Heck yes! Yet, the truth is usually scary when we're in denial about what's going to happen. If you thought the first book was mind blowing, it has nothing on this for non-believers, it might be a difficult book to handle because a lot of will see it as pure fiction. I've had mates that were entertained by the previous book because they read it as more Sci-Fi or as a fictional book. That's your right to do so. However, they did mention before that a lot of things did seem to fall into put method after the book had been published. Hold an begin mind and see where it goes.I highly recommend this book and will be re-reading it again and again. Prepare yourself, folks. The rocky times aren't anywhere near to being over. Sadly.

“Is the shaking that has come upon the globe a sign, a judgment, or a warning of things to come? Explore the signs and manifestations that have appeared in America and the globe up to this very moment-- and what they reveal about the future.Unlock the mysteries of the Gate, the Book of Days, the Image, the Judgment Tree, the kids of the Ruins, the Shakings, the Plague, the Mystery Ship, the Western Terrace and much more. You will never see the globe the same method again.”I had the blessed opportunity to keep and review an advanced copy of “The Harbinger II by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. Once again, Rabbi Cahn does not disappoint. I am completely intrigued at the amount of detail he shares of happenings prophesied 1000’s of years ago, and that are now coming to fulfillment in om the book: “What you are about to read will take the form of a story, but what is revealed in the story is real”. Understanding this, we once again search ourselves completely enthralled by the Prophet and his revealing of the Harbingers. You will not be able to place this book down once you start reading it. I actually found myself doing a bit of research about specific dates, times, locations, names, etc. His research is impeccable and the story telling manner in which the book is presented draws you directly into the conversations almost as if you are sitting, or walking along with the characters. If you have not read the first Harbinger book, please do, for your own benefit, though I do not think it is important to read this book as portions and highlights of the first Harbinger book are retold in The Harbinger II. This book is a must read!Disclaimer: I received an Advanced Reader copy of this book from the Publisher in exchange for my honest review. The Harbinger II: The Return []  2020-9-2 18:0

During these unprecedented times are you wondering where God is? He is in absolutely every detail and has been from the beginning of time! Jonathan Cahn lays this out vividly in his follow up book to the Harbinger, The Harbinger II The Return. Much required HOPE abounds in this book as he unfolds and unlocks mysteries of the past which tell us about future events. As I ready it I felt the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit is in every detail. The Gate, the Book of Days, the Judgement Tree, the Shakings, and the Mystery Ship are just a few of signs that have appeared in America and in the world. If there was ever a time to be still and listen, this is it! This book is a must have for your private library. As Jonathan states, “And NOW the trumpet has sounded. Allow the one who has ears to hear, HEAR it and RETURN and be SAVED!”This book will also create a amazing bonus for your friends, they will be amazed and captivated by the extraordinary detail and the length that God will go to reach His people.

Enjoying the series so far. My only negatives are the relationships. Most have been predictable but more specifically, I often feel the people end up together for convenience. Most relationships are short lived as well, so I search myself not connecting or caring about the relationship side of the story. There hasn't been a couple I connected to or that I search myself rooting for.

Every book I read in this series creeps me out. I've only had one other author give me nightmares, Dean Koontz, but these books have given me a couple. I know some people have said the relationships are too quick, but seriously Life as they knew it just ended. I love how the characters are evolving and I have to say Kirk is my favorite, mostly because he's a serious [email protected]#$%. Plus these books have it all, romance, action, science fiction, and anything in between. I've recommended these books to all my mates who love a amazing zombie book. Amazing job Keegan! Now where the heck is the next one?

Cliff hanger alert!! This is part of a serial that you need to have read a few of the preceding serials for it to paint a complete picture. There are the usual stereotype characters who whine they aren't, to the point of cartoon. There are criminal bands of neo nazis, and a concentration camp of murderous religeous zealots. This end of the globe as.we know it by disease tale is veering of the cliff with supernatural nonsense.

This book, and this whole series, are absolutely excellent. The stories are well paced and doesn’t feel too long or too short. If I begin one at bed time I’m still up at 3 am reading. This is the kind of story I want were longer so I could have more time with the characters. I can’t say enough amazing things. Wendy finds the excellent blend of paranormal, magic, and creepy to give me a chill. If you like witches, ghosts and psychics read this series. I’d place in a preorder for the next book right now if I could.

Storm and Fury: The Harbinger Series, Book 1 []  2020-1-14 19:40

Another JLA that I just absolutely loved! I should probably preface this by saying that I haven’t yet read her Dark Elements series. I have seen that having read that series has affected how some readers viewed this series. That isn’t the case for me, however. So, I can say that going in completely blind, I loved this!I have been reading a string of slow building fantasies lately, so the fast pacing with this one was a breath of new air for me. I really liked Trinity’s character. She’s tough, mentally and physically, but she’s full of heart. She’s has some major struggles, but she doesn’t allow them rule her life. They aren’t a focal point. Just background noise. And Zayne. A gargoyle. How completely amazing is that alone? He’s all tough exterior but with a huge heart. A really huge heart. He’s one of the few that have learned to look beyond the exterior to judge the a lot of monsters he comes in contact with. And the plot…well it builds up to something I didn’t expect. It was special and unpredicatable. That being said, this is a hero driven book. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention. There is also a really cool side hero in the form of a ghost that is also very entertaining.I would note since this is listed as a YA novel, while there is no sex…you’d probably still think this goes too far if you don’t wish in your teens novels. But, it’s only one scene. Language can be strong, but it’s rare.I definitely recommend this one to JLA fans of the Lux and Origin series. Haven’t tried JLA? I’d also say this would be amazing for fans of Jessica Sorensen’s PNR/F, or just anyone that enjoys a amazing fast-paced PNR that’s hero driven. I LOVED IT!!!!!

It’s been over a week since I read this book, and I’m still not quite sure how to place my thoughts into words. I should be used to it by now; I’ve read so a lot of of Armentrout’s books that I should be used to how her books affect me. I shouldn’t be this shocked, and yet, I still have no idea what to say other than wow.I love Trinity. She’s relatable and realistic, and she really pops off the page. She’s sweet and caring, and impossible not to like. Trinity is the kind of girl anyone would be lucky to have as a friend. I loved reading about her.And then there’s Zayne. I loved him in the Dark Elements series, and I still love him. I didn’t ship him with Layla, but it still damage seeing him hurt, so I love that he’s getting his own story, hopefully his own happily ever after. Zayne is just such a amazing guy. He’s caring, has a heart of gold, and even though he was really freaking frustrating in this book, I still love him. The plot was great. It was well-paced and had me hooked from page one. And the globe is really original and interesting. I loved it in the original series, and I love learning more about this world. The world-building is amazing, and I honestly can’t wait to learn more about it. The writing was amazing, as I’ve come to expect of Armentrout. Whether she writes suspenseful romance or young adult fantasy, she has this awesome ability to pull you into any globe and create it feel as true as the globe we live in. And when you finish the book, you look up, blinking, and can’t understand how it wasn’t real. You completely forget that you’re reading, and if you ask me, that’s the most awesome thing an author can do. With Storm and Fury, Armentrout truly outdid herself. Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

Rage and Ruin by Jennifer L Armentrout is the 2nd book in her unbelievable YA fantasy paranormal, The Harbinger series. Refresher: Trinity Marrow is a trueborn (half human/half angel); she has spent all of her life protected and trained by Wardens. In the latest book, Trinity was betrayed by her protector, Misha, and she used her growing powers to slay him to save herself and others. Zayne, is our hero, and he becomes Trinity’s Warden protector, as we learned then that it was Zayne who was supposed to be Warden who bonded with her.Rage and Ruin picks up where the first book left off. Both Trinity and Zayne can feel the attraction between them, but since he is now her protector, any relationship between them is forbidden. They both work together to find for the Harbinger, who has been killing Wardens and Demons. Each day, Zayne will work on training Trinity, especially with her eyesight disability, to teach her how to sense those attacking her out of her sight. They also go out to find and search out who is the Harbinger, and stop him before the globe is destroyed.I really liked Trinity and Zayne together, but both of them early on kept distancing themselves or fighting, and Trinity did not know how to handle her jealousy that Zayne was friendly with other girls. The sarcastic banter between them went on for quite a bit, but the chemistry and sexy tension between them was sizzling. It was amazing to see Roth and Layla again, especially Roth who would use a favor that Trinity owed him to obtain something he wanted back. They did raise the bar when they were around to work with Trinity and Zayne. What follows is a wild exciting intense action-packed adventure, with a number of surprising twists. I loved Zayne and Trinity together, even if it was a bit slow burn; but once they allowed themselves to succumb to their feelings, it was combustible. As I said previously, I loved a lot of of the secondary characters, especially Roth, Layla, Peanut, and Cayman. To say too much more, would be spoilers, as there are a lot of surprises, and I do not wish to ruin it for anyone.Rage and Ruin is a unbelievable addition to this series, with a unbelievable couple, and an exciting, tense, passionate adventure, which Armentrout kills us at the end with a wild, heartbreaking tearjerker of a cliffhanger. Jennifer L. Armentrout once again gives us a fun, heartwarming, romantic, as well as intense action filled story that kept me on the edge of our seat. I will be counting the days for next book in this series

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

What a crazy, thrilling ride!! I’m still in a state of shock and wonderment after finishing Rage and Ruin. It’s impossible to place into words all the emotions that are running through me at this moment. Rage and Ruin picks up right where Storm and Fury left off. And while it gives up some answers, this story will rock your globe and leave you breathless in anticipation…..With Rage and Ruin, we are dealing with the aftermath of Storm and Fury. Zayne & Trinity are now bound to one another. Trinity is a Trueborn and Zayne is her Protector. No one can truly know what Trinity is and it is a secret that are determined to keep. As our characters fall into their fresh roles, they still have to train and find out demons. The Harbinger is coming and is hurting innocent people. They have to search who or what it is and stop it before it’s too late. Tensions will run hotter than ever and mysterious developments will hold everyone on their toes. Support will be sought from an unlikely source. Forbidden feelings will rise to the surface. Will Trinity, Zayne and mates be able to stop what’s coming??? There’s only one method to search out…Fasten your seat belts and keep on to your hats, because Rage and Ruin is going to take you on a wild ride. This story is action packed and filled with lots of twist and surprising turns. There is never a dull inity and Zayne will be tested in ways they never expected, especially as a forbidden romance blossoms between the two of them. I loved their passion to duty and the war of their real feelings. The push and pull left my heart aching and filled with angst. Their connection was off the charts and I think I fell for these two even more.I loved the added moments with Roth & Layla. I adore Roth and he will always have a unique put in my heart. I think he adds some much required comedic relief to the story and helps balance all the seriousness. I liked seeing Layla because I feel like both her and Zayne’s characters have grown a lot since The Dark Elements Series and I enjoyed how far the two of them have come, despite everything the two of them have gone through.Rage and Ruin was everything that I wanted and then some. The first part of the book lays the ground work for what is to come. And the second part, well, it didn’t even stand a chance. I completely devoured the second half. I didn’t wish to place it down and I felt like I couldn’t read the words quick enough. My emotions are a complete and utter mess. So a lot of moments filled with angst and emotion, love and duty. Moments that will shock you to your core and leave you questioning what you just read. Moments filled with heartbreak that you just refuse to accept. And an unforgettable ending that will leave you dying for e war of amazing versus evil has begun. Once again, I am left with a million questions. I feel like the rug has been ripped from under me. My mind has been completely blown and I can not wait to see where the story will go from here…

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

The second book in The Harbinger series, and we’re back with Trinity and Zayne, now bonded as Trueborn and Warden Protector and working together to hunt for the mysterious ere’s not a lot I can say about the story without spoiling anything, and just allow me confirm that this is NOT a standalone, and you need to have read Storm and Fury, and preferably the original series in this world, The Dark Elements, before diving into this oneIt’s a bit of a slower pace this time around, as the globe is already well established, and we concentrate more on the relationship between Trinity and Zayne as they discover their brand fresh om the very beginning I have loved the connection between Trinity and Zayne, and now they have the added edge of their real bond, which enhances everything that was between them in the first book, but which also creates a delicious sense of the forbidden as their attraction is now totally off-limits. So we obtain this angsty, dramatic situation where they are both trying to do the right thing, creating both tension and true tension as they war hard versus their feelings, and each other. It’s both exciting and frustrating as they share intense moments all while keeping quiet about the tumultuous emotion between them, creating multiple opportunities for miscommunication. But it’s an emotional journey, and watching them with it and work through it is an entertaining ride, and it makes those romantic moments all the more wonderful when they happen. But in the midst of it all, the Harbinger is still killing, and seems to taunt them at every turn. The story progression here is slow for most of the book as Trinity and Zayne with their romantic drama, but things pick up towards the end of the book and there is some action and excitement, questions are answered, the plot thickens and there are some beautiful huge twists which are going to change everything going forward. The ending is not exactly a cliffhanger, but it’s a nasty note to leave off on, and I cannot wait to obtain my hands on the next book to see how it’s all going to unfold from aracters from previous books appear, and Roth, Layla and Cayman are all a part of the action, and I loved the scenes that involve them! The Dark Elements series is a fave of mine, so of course any opportunity to see those characters again is always a treat. I’ll say again, that it will be really helpful to create sure you’ve read that series before this one because there are a lot of tie-ins that may otherwise be a bit confusing.I really enjoyed this book. While not as fast-paced as its predecessor, it has a lot of heart and sets up the trilogy for a huge finish!

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

Rage and Ruin is book 2 of The Harbinger series, and it cannot be read as a standalone. You must read Storm and Fury first.Picking up where S & F leaves off, R & R focuses on the growing (and forbidden) attraction between Zayne and Trinity, the struggle to navigate their fresh normal of being bonded to one another, and the quest to search the yne, as a character, has really grown and developed since he was first introduced in White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements series). Though he claims Trin has a light and a spark inside her, his light shines even brighter. Even better? He is very much of the "Rules Were Created to Be Broken" camp. And I dig it. Roth is clearly rubbing off on yne is also vulnerable. I wanted to wrap that Stony man in a hug and tell him how worthy he is of all the in is still dealing with heartache from happenings that occurred in S & F. Full disclosure, there were times I really struggled with her character. There is a selfishness to her and a wealth of immaturity. But there is also the weight and burden of being what she is, her fears and in's relationship with Roth is entertaining, and, much like he did for Layla, he her the possibility to tap into her potential and shift her perspective, while also providing unsolicited (yet valuable) ere is a lot of humor in this story mostly from the banter and push and pull between Zayne and Trin, but also because, well, is book, it absolutely gutted me. The depth of emotion between Zayne and Trinity, their fears, and the twists and turns at the end? I don't even know what to do with myself. Have tissues because, to quote Zayne, there's a lot you don't know.

The rest of the book has sort of in-depth self-analysis pages that would require some time to work through . I have read thru it and will use it more if the first chapter is not enough for my needs. My granddaughter has been making my head explode. That has to stop. She is very irritating sometimes, but she is going thru puberty. I cannot lose my temper with her.

Storm and Fury: The Harbinger Series, Book 1 []  2020-1-14 19:40

Freaking amazing!! Like wow!! Storm and Fury is the beginning of a sequel series of the Dark Elements series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It was so much fun revisiting this globe she created. We had a ton of familiar faces, like Layla, Roth, and of course, Zayne who is one of the main focuses of this book. Our heroine is a fresh one and she is Trinity. Trinity is an amazing character. A total [email protected]#$% like Layla and very special in the globe of Wardens and demons. I loved the introduction to what I think will be a really amazing series. And what was even cooler was that Armentrout based an necessary part of Trinity off herself. Showing that you may be born with something but that doesn't mean it will stop you from living your life to the best it can be. It was really moving. So this story, like I said was beautiful cool. We are back in the globe of gargoyles and demons and Trinity is something special to them all. Which I will not say because spoilers! This book takes put about seven months after The Dark Elements books ended and there is something out in the globe killing both demons and gargoyles. When Trinity's home is attacked and her mate taken, she is determined to search him. Zayne was visiting Trinity's clan, when her mate was taken. There is an instant spark between the Zayne and Trinity, a pull between them that is stronger than they have ever felt before. And though Zayne is still trying to work through everything from the previous series, even he can't deny the pull he feels toward Trinity. They work together to search out what happened to Trinity's mate and recruit some old mates to support them along the way. Action, romance, and plot twists that you honestly do not see coming, this book was just...wow! I cannot wait to obtain my hands on the next one. If you haven't read the series before this one, definitely do! You'll understand the globe and all the characters a lot better. Great, amazing book!I received an ARC for an honest review.

~~I received this ARC through NetGalley for an honest review~~*IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE DARK ELEMENTS SERIES... this review will spoil it so continue at your own risk.... also, if you haven’t read them you’re missing out!*This book was was everything I absolutely required and everything I was not expecting!!! She did it again!! Jennifer L Armentrout is the Queen (MY QUEEN) of writing stories that engaged me constantly and create me feel every emotion with the characters. This book has a unbelievable pace; introducing fresh characters to a globe we know and giving us this fresh adventure to start. I never felt bored or worried that I wasn’t going to love this story/series. I instantly LOVED Trinity and was drawn to her; her strength, kindness, humility and humor created me isbtsbtly feel like she was relatable and I was invested in her immediately. I felt every emotion with her and found myself crying satisfied and sad tears. So a lot of points in this book just created me FEEL ALL THE , allow me say that The Dark Elements series is one of my ALL TIME favorite series and I love Roth.... like LOVE ROTH and did not expect to fall for this first book as much as I did. On my latest re read of The Dark Elements I felt more for Zayne than I ever have in the past. This book INSTANTLY created me swoon for Zayne! We obtain to see so much more of him obviously and we obtain to see this side of him never seen in The Dark Elements. He’s grown and changed and I felt like he was suddenly THIS MAN. He felt like this whole other person to me and I absolutely FELL IN LOVE. HOW DID I NOT LOVE HIM BEFORE??? He’s this perfectly flawed unbelievable person. Strong, smart, funny, a small jaded, protective, sweet and just amazing. Seeing him through Trinity’s eyes was so awesome and great. Here’s one of my favorite quotes that shows Zayne in her eyes: “A slow, heart-wrenching smile pulled at his lips. A true one, and it was the kind of smile that could break hearts and rebuild them.”If you loved The Dark Elements, you’re gonna just absolutely LOVE this! We obtain glimpses of old characters we love and it’s funny and awesome but it’s this additional I didn’t need! (I’ll be honest, I was like LAYLA GO AWAY hahaha)!! From the moment you begin this book, you’llbe drawn in and dying for more!!!

The storylines seem so true that I can’t support but wonder about the connection to reality. I especially love the depth of the relationships between Charlie, her cousins, her son and the supporting casts she works with. I’m looking forward to seeing how her son grows i this really! I loved the element of challenge between she and Cameron as well as the budding relationship between she and Tom....though somewhat disappointed that it didn’t happen with Jason. The storyline, relationships and depths hold me waiting for more! You will love them! P

So, I really have fun these Witches of Palmetto Point stories. The only issue with them is I read them and then I have to wait for the next one. The addition of Ben and Jen's romance and Charlie's relationship with Tom...Lisa and Jason... love how the "family" is growing. Even though the stories build on each other, they stand alone too.

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

This book....it has all the feels.I honestly cannot fully place into words what I feel after finishing this book. It was fast-paced, witty, angsty, and viscerally beautiful. It was a Mona Lisa level story and I'm still e Harbinger series has a unique put in my heart for a lot of reasons. One of which is that it is so raw and full of human flaws, insecurities, hurts, but most importantly beauty and hope. Trinity and Zayne war very human and very normal hurdles like insecurities, miscommunication, and a should-we, shouldn't-we kind of love. However, add in the end of the world, a villain more strong than anything they have ever come across, and a forbidden love and you have a whole fresh level of interpersonal issues.I love that Trinity is headstrong, slightly selfish (who isn't honestly), and yet uses her passion to care so deeply about those around her. Her struggle with what happened with Misha, her developing feelings for Zayne, and continuing to live and thrive with her disability all merge into a deep, rich, and multidimensional character. Zayne is kind and compassionate, but also not perfect. He misinterprets what Trinity means multiple times (in her defense, she didn't really test to correct him), snaps a few things that were insensitive or hurtful, all the while making Trinity a priority in everything that he did. There were times when I wanted to punch both of them in the face and shout, "Just create up, why is it so hard to say what you really want, what you really mean?!?!" But who hasn't struggled with getting too much into your own head and not knowing how to support someone understand the mess it is? Who hasn't been scared to obtain hurt, to be heartbroken, so not taking a possibility is easier than jumping in? They were two people thrown into an unprecedented situation and told to figure it out, so of course there were struggles and mishaps. And I loved how true and natural it created the ere were a lot of characters from the Dark Elements series that we got to revisit and that was amazing. We finally got to figure out what/who the Harbinger was and obtain some clarity on what Zayne and Trinity are fighting against. And we got hit with an ending I did not see coming; something so unexpected, I just had to sit and reel for a moment. The pacing, the action, the dialogue, everything was on point. I teared up multiple times as the emotions and situations felt so true and laughed more times than I can count. This truly was a masterpiece and a series I will read again and again, while mourning the fact there will only be one more book.

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger Series Book 1) []  2020-5-15 18:0

Wow. I forgot how addicting it is reading the world's Jennifer L. Armentrout is one is a spin off from her Dark Elements series, which is one of my favorite's of hers. I mean, Roth. Need I say more? I think not orm and Fury had me hooked from the start. I loved Trinity, she's such a intelligent A , it's was really enlightening to obtain to see, in a way, what it's like to have the eye disease that Jennifer has, because Trinity also has it, but she doesn't allow it slow her down one bit. She evolves with it. We obtain to see the struggles she has because of it, but like I said she never lets it slow her down, she always finds a method to adapt. She is a very powerful character, not just because of that, but the things that she's lost along the method in her journey, yet she keeps persevering.“What are you going to do if it does obtain worse?” he asked.“Maybe I’ll obtain myself a seeing-eye gargoyle.”Zayne chuckled. “I can be that for you.”“Uh, yeah, I feel like you’d grow very bored of that.”“I don’t think so.” His fingers curled around my chin, bringing my gaze back to his. Air hitched in my throat. “I don’t think…there’s ever a boring second around you.”I liked Zayne in the Dark Elements, but since that series was obviously centered around various characters I didn't really connect with him too much, but in Storm and Fury he has become one of my favorite characters. He is also a large intelligent A, and oh my gosh the back and forth bickering humor between these two was one of my favorite things in this book.“You’re hard to talk to,” Zayne said after a ended, I glared at him. “No, I’m not.”“Okay, allow me rephrase that. You’re argumentative.”“No, I’m not.”Zayne stared at me, as if me arguing with him just then was proof enough of what he was sort of proof of what he claimed, and that irritated me.”Jennifer always has such hilarious humor in her books. It's one of my favorites things about her writing.Oh, man. Like a lot of the scene's with Peanut, one of the ghosts Trinity can see, had me cracking up.I loved the plot, it kept me interested in everything going on through the whole book. I can't wait to see how a lot of the things that happen in this one unfold in the future books. We actually do obtain quite a bit of Layla and Roth in this one.Which I didnt expected, but thoroughly enjoyed. But because of this and their interactions I definitely feel like you need to read the Dark Elements before hand.“So weird.”“What?”He tipped forward. “I still wish to touch you.”My eyes widened. “You’re an odd, creepy demon prince.”Roth grinned.“Well, you still creep me out,” Cayman announced as Roth leaned farther toward me, one hand sliding across the table.“No touching,” Zayne e demon prince pouted as he pulled his hand back. “That’s no fun.”But if you've read and loved the Dark Elements or any of Jennifers other YA books I think you're going to love this one. This one is a small more on the Mature YA side, which I thoroughly is is a beautiful hefty book, but I knocked it out in about two days, which is quick for me for a book this size. And I read it in Hardcover, which I never do anymore due to migraines, so you know this book was really amazing to hold me hooked through that uncomfortableness lol.I 100% recommend this book. It's so much fun to read.

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

What a ride that was!Zayne and Trinity. Trinity and Zayne. What is there to say? Or rather, what’s ISN’T there to say?I fell in love with this story latest year after I borrowed Storm & Fury from the library on a whim. Zayne was a small bit of a stinker (which I loved — and after reading Dark Elements actually appreciate even more) and Trinity was a small reckless and whole lot sassy. It created for a amazing story and by the end I was ready for more.I waited what feels like forever for Rage & Ruin, but as per usual, Jen did not disappoint! I couldn’t place this one down.We pick up where we left off in Storm & Fury. Tensions are high and the status of the globe is steadily getting worse as the Harbinger’s identity is still unknown and the feelings Trinity and Zayne experienced for one another are now forbidden. No one knows the consequences — but is the unknown going to be enough to hold them apart? This book wrecked me so good. I rode a rollercoaster of emotion through the entire thing. It was action packed, heartfelt, and full of plot twists that left my jaw on the mething you should know about me, is that I collect book boyfriends. The list is quite long, actually. Prior to this book, Zayne was nothing more than a blip on my radar, but after — I couldn’t stop thinking about him! He has grown so much as a hero since Dark Elements and I absolutely love it!I completely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys paranormal/fantasy romances. Jen does a unbelievable job delivering all of what you need. The only warning I’ll give you is this — be prepared to have your socks knocked off.

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

RAGE AND RUIN is a unbelievable sequel in THE HARBINGER series. Picking up where the first book left off, we follow Trinity as she navigates her fresh life with Zayne as her bonded protector. She is still dealing with her grief over Misha, her confusion over the rules, and the danger of the Harbinger. Although this one picks up right after the first, there is enough gentle reminders woven into the book (without a knowledge dump) to let readers to remember the first book and obtain back into the groove inity is a Trueborn, a nephilim whose father is an Archangel. She is avoiding saying- or thinking- the L-word for the guy she likes but cannot be with, Zayne. Zayne is a Warden, which is a gargoyle shifter that exists to war demons. Trinity bonded with Zayne to save him, and at the same time, doomed their romantic relationship, as it is forbidden between Trueborns and their bonded Protectors. They are patrolling together while the Harbinger escalates his attacks and begins killing Wardens in horrific warnings. The bigger plots of the Harbinger are coming to a head, but Trinity and Zayne are having a hard time finding any patterns that might let them to stop them.A lot happens in this second book, and it certainly does not have middle book syndrome. The plot advances in a large method here. There are also features by characters from the past books that are really beautifully woven into the story- allowing us to see our old favorite characters without overshadowing this book and helping to advance the plot. What I loved: Armentrout combines humor, drama, romance, and action in a method that is truly masterful and unrivaled. This book is no different, and I loved the snark, the steamy romance (even those massive glances and interactions add up to tension you can chop with a knife), and the action that keeps the book moving very quickly. This is quite the page-turner that begs to be read in one (very long) sitting at 600 highly devourable pages.I really loved the involvement of Roth in particular here, but also Layla and Stacey (and Roth's familiars) that give these characters fresh life and involvement in this world. We also see plenty of demons, spirits, witches and other monsters that really create this a well-developed and interesting world. There is really never a dull moment in this book between the laugh-out-loud moments, the nail-biting war scenes, and the heartfelt inity also has retinitis pigmentosa, an invisible disability and one that Armentrout also has. Trinity considers how she looks (e.g. wearing sunglasses that support her but for which people judge her) and how people react to her limitations (e.g. when she does not see a vehicle when trying to cross the road) without being able to tell at a glance. This theme of invisible disabilities, along with themes of deciding when to follow or break rules and what makes someone amazing or poor (or something inbetween), really add something thought-provoking and deeper to a book that is also a pleasure to verdict: RAGE AND RUIN is a fantastically engaging read that will delight old and fresh fans of Armentrout's and this world. With plenty of banter, snark, and action, this is a book that keeps the reader on their toes- and with a bombshell ending that will leave readers begging for the next in the series. Prepare to laugh, cry, and sigh at this enthralling ease note that I received an ARC from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

    The Anger Control Workbook (A New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook) []  2020-8-18 20:11

I like the idea of a workbook because it's more interactive & gets you thinking more. I tend to remember things better when I write them. At times, I wished there was more reading material & less writing. It helped me analyze my anger problems better. Seeing it on paper gives you a various perspective. The relaxation techniques were the most helpful to me. I will continue to use those in the future. I felt like most of the material after that part of the book was just ok for me. I'm interested in reading the book this was based on, When Anger Hurts. Maybe that has more detail that I'm looking for.

While not every page applied, the ones that did really hit home and got me thinking about why I responded the method I do, what it does to the people around me, and finally gave me amazing tactics on what to do with the anger. Anger is OK – – it's simply how you choose to with it. Highly recommend

If you haven't read The Dark Elements series - proceed at your own risk! This is a follow up novel from this ! This was such a fun and awesome read! I read this one while traveling with my mates to Texas. Mind you, this is a SUPER long drive, like 14 plus hours. I was so smitten with the characters and the plot that I didn't attention to much else. Too busy following the story to even give the scenery a second glance. When it was announced that Zayne (Stoney) was getting his own book I was beautiful pumped up! He was such a unique hero in The Dark Elements series. Awesome to see him in this follow up novel. Trinity is a beautiful unique hero too. She has to over come some beautiful tough situations thrown her way.If you'e a fan of the present Supernatural, then this would be a amazing book for you! It includes all things supernatural and awesome. It was definitely a five star read for me. It kept me totally invested all the method up to the end of the ain, if you haven't read The Dark Elements series, you should read those for before proceeding to this book.

Another paranormal globe that I long to be in full of romance and yne and Trin are one of my fresh favorite couples in the book world, mostly because Zayne became shelled off from the globe and guild which I don’t blame him for especially after Layla. Now… I don’t hate Layla for choosing Roth over Zayne but it was heartbreaking as to how it all went down. With the unique appearance from Roth created this book really great. Jen always strikes fresh and old readers right into the hearts to have us pining over the characters in her books. We either wish to be mates with them or just be them. We would love to see someone look at us with that “…slow, heart-wrenching smile… the kind of smile that could break hearts and rebuild them.” Jennifer L Armentrout never fails in building a globe that we jump into full of romance that is believable and riveting on every word.Every time that I finish a book from Jen, I turn back to page one and reset and before I know it, the whole day is gone.“Life moves beautiful fast. You don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger Series Book 1) []  2020-5-15 18:0

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger Series Book 1) []  2020-5-15 18:0

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

I received an electronic advanced reader copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. Review is also be available on *Milky Method of Books*.I know that Jennifer will always fo me a solid and write a book that will pull on my heartstrings and also create me laugh and cry. This is what happened with Rage and Ruin. To be honest, the feeling of anticipation I had for this sequel created me remember when I was anxiously waiting for the next release of the Titan series (that's Seth for you!) where I wanted to spot the next greek myth or Greek word!Zayne and Trinity are bonded as Protector and Trueborn while the mystery behind the Harbinger thickens. Having also to with their growing emotions, Trinity's fear of losing everything she loves and on the other hand, having to with her powers and her role in the Warden community, both she and Zayne are in for lots and LOTS of conflicting emotions!Honestly, at some scenes, I wanted to bash their heads together...and then create them yne is a sweetheart. While not one of my top favorite male characters (#sorrynotsorry), he is a powerful and loyal person, caring and loving and the method he supported Trinity and tried to empower her even more (Trinity has Retinitis Pigmentosa, a genetic disorder of the eyes that causes loss of vision), despite the growing mayhem heading their e final pages of the book, gutted me. No words, I hadn't felt like that since I had read Opal (from the Lux Series) and that says a lots on how Jennifer is a master on writing books that hook you from the heart and then create you beg and wish them more! Finally, the aspect of ghosts and spirits was also something quite deep and spiritual. We do have Layla and Roth helping in this book and of course Bambi, but there was a stage with a certain spirit that created me is is an awesome book! If you are fresh to Jennifer's books, read the Dark Elements series first and then start with this series! You will not be disappointed!4 likes

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

I received this eARC novel from the author and Edelweiss. This is my honest ing bonded to Zayne is problematic for Trinity. Protectors and their Trueborns are forbidden to be in a relationship with each other, which is where Trinity and Zayne were headed. Now, Trinity has slammed on the breaks, even though it just about kills her. Throw in the fact they can both feel each other's feelings, and hello awkward moments...And then there's the Harbinger. Trying to explore who this is and what their goal is has been a struggle. Some clues lead to others, but a lot of lead to dead ends. Trinity can't support but feel everything is going to explode at once, but she has no control without any en throw in Layla and Stacey, Roth and Co. and things are just escalating. Plus how things... ended... with Misha? Trinity's rage isn't going to stay bottled up for long. And the huge reveal? Trinity didn't see that coming at all...I say this every time Jennifer L. Armentrout releases a book and I'll hold saying it over and over: I LOVED THIS BOOK! I don't know how she does it, but JLA has made another masterpiece and completely sucked me into this world. She created me fall for each and every character, and broke my heart more times than I liked. But also created my heart race for every intense stage between Trinity and Zayne.I seriously wanted to strangle these two love birds. They avoided each other, had close encounters, and honestly had amazing self restraint to not succumb to their intense feelings, which both could feel from each other, mind you. I was tense with anticipation, only to be thoroughly disappointed. But when they did give in? It was magical.During the whole book, I tried very hard to come up with a lot of people who could be the Harbinger. I wanted to not be shocked, like JLA tends to do to me. While I wasn't shocked, I also did not figure out out before the huge reveal. What did shock me was the very, very end, which is what the intention was, I'm sure.I loved the moment Trinity and Zayne had their deep, painful, intense, true conversation. It was heartbreaking, enlightening, true. They left everything on the table and aired our their dirty laundry. I have fun those scenes because real thoughts and feelings are finally released after being bottled up for so long.I also loved seeing a lot of Roth and Layla and the rest of the gang. It wouldn't be the same if they were missing, and JLA gave us a lot of moments of them. And, as always, I am anxiously awaiting the next book already. I'm so curious how things are going to move forward and I'm sure there will be a lot of more surprises in the future. I'm waiting to see what part Peanut and Gina have too!Thank you again for an awesome novel, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and I'll be waiting with forced patience for the next novel!

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

What a sequel!! First of all, I felt like I knew how heavy this book was but 600 pages!! Wow! While I do feel like there was some fluff, I do think that for the most part, Jennifer really does test to create use of every page she writes. There may not be a detail that seems significant right then but and there but it ends up changing the book completely and putting into a various path. For example, the small stage with the ghost around 33%, you may not think that stage is really required and may not matter a whole lot but then you obtain around 60% and it changes the book and takes our characters to a various setting and raises the stakes on the overall tting into the characters, I was happy to see more Zayne in this book. We didn't see him for a fair amount of the first book but he has a beautiful dominating presence in this book. And of course, we got more Roth in this book which is ALWAYS a positive! Layla took more of a backseat in more of this book which is understandable because I feel like she had more a presence and was somewhat of an obstacle for the relationship of Zayne and Trinity to be able to progress. Also, Peanut is always a delight to read! Jennifer really knows how do write the sidekick/funny mate and Peanut is absolutely no exception!!Getting into the plot, there are spoilers so I can't talk much on that but what I will say is that the stakes are even higher and though the setting is beautiful much contained, Jennifer makes amazing use of the various areas throughout and how to progress the book with small geography. One of my favorite things about this book was how the sequel IMMEDIATELY picked up where the first book picked off! More times than not, there is a bit of a time jump but not giving characters not much of a time to take a breath gives more of an intensity to the tting to the finale, it definitely ups the stakes for the third [final??] book in the series and it absolutely has me excited but also makes me sad because of the year-long wait. Just another reason though to have authors during this difficult time in the world!!!

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

This book is one of the best books I've read in a while, and that's saying a lot for me, as "The Darkest Star" series had always been my favorite by JLA. But now they're neck and neck. It starts off the morning after the happenings from the end of the first book. Trinity is still very much grieving Misha and what she did to him. At the same time she's grieving her hopes of a relationship with Zayne, her destined protector. As protectors and Trueborns are forbidden to be together. And the whole book focuses on them, along with Roth, Cayman, and Layla, searching for the Harbinger, the monster that will supposedly bring forward the end of the world. It also sees Trinity and Zayne trying to war their feelings for each other.Honestly it was awesome from begin to finish. I love how JLA focused on both plots of the story without going overboard on either. I loved how Zayne and Trinity are arguing one minute, and falling for each other the next. It doesn't feel rushed and I appreciate at ending though! It was super sad, and created me cry. It was like I was in disbelief or something at what had happened. But the latest few pages had me shook. I honestly thought that the certain happening that created me cry was going to be a main part of the third book, but JLA was like "sike!" Of course, like I've noticed in most JLA books, the first one left in a method that could have created a amazing stand-alone novel. But the second books leaves off on a major cliffhanger that will leave me with a lot of sleepless nights until book #3 comes out.

Storm and Fury: The Harbinger Series, Book 1 []  2020-1-14 19:40

I have been waiting very impatiently for this book to arrive, and once it hit my Kindle I was torn between wanting to devour it and wanting to take my time so that it wouldn't end too soon! I was wholeheartedly Squad Roth when reading the Dark Elements series, but I did have love for Zayne too because he was such a genuinely amazing guy so I was very excited to dive into the begin of a series featuring orm and Fury picks up several months after the end of Every Latest Breath but it opens in a fresh setting at the regional seat of the Wardens. Trinity has lived there for the latest 10 years, but only a very little handful of people know the real reason she is there. Trinity appears to be human to the casual observer but we soon realize she is something much more significant and powerful. She has been trained to war with the Wardens, and her abilities surpass most of them on any given day. But she also suffers from a degenerative eye disease that is slowly robbing her of her vision so she trains twice as hard to develop her skills and instinctual reactions. When it comes to her personality, she had me cracking up repeatedly! She definitely operates with a healthy dose of sarcasm and snark, but it hides a deeper yearning to really connect with someone who knows the true Trinity and sees her as more than the truth of her genetics. She spends most of her time with her bonded Protector Misha but he is like the brother she never had and she is very rarely allowed to venture too far from his presence- or off the clan's property for that nce visitors are very rarely allowed to the compound she lives in, she is stunned when Wardens from the DC guild are not only granted access but are actually invited to stay for awhile. Curiosity quickly wins out and she rushes to eavesdrop on the newcomers' meeting with her pseudo-father Thierry to search out the scoop- but the globe comes to a standstill when she gets a amazing look at the hot blond Warden. They don't exactly obtain off on the right foot and Trinity's snarky side is out in full force, but neither can shake the feeling of familiarity or that they have met yne, Nicolai and Dez have come in find of support with a threat, but they are not entirely sure what is behind the sudden increase in deaths of both Wardens and demons alike. Zayne is still at odds with most of his guild after the happenings of the latest year, and he has not assumed the leadership role that most would have expected after his father's death so rumors fly around Trinity's home on that topic. Despite Misha's dislike of the other Warden and warnings that he is not a amazing person, she sees no indication that Misha is right- and that is not just the crazy attraction speaking either! When danger arrives in Trinity's backyard versus all odds, things obtain true and a change in venue to the DC clan's location is warranted. As the proverbial you-know-what is about to hit the fan, Trinity's want to experience more of the globe is granted. Which brings me to another interesting point about her: she can see and communicate with ghosts who have not moved on and spirits who have crossed over but came back for a specific reason. Enter the absolutely hilarious Peanut, a ghost who refuses to cross over and insists on keeping Trinity company, and he has no intention of staying behind when she heads out with Zayne. (If you have read JLA's Wicked trilogy, think Tink in ghost form!)The characters in Storm and Fury are so well written from familiar faces to the newly introduced! The changes Zayne has undergone are revealed- and he has become even hotter with the newly developed edges. A certain beloved demon prince and half demon/ half something-else-entirely are pulled in to support search the source of the threat, and that leads to a visit with one that Roth loved and lost. Oh and there just may be a very familiar face in the form of a spirit that interacts with Trinity... I cannot wait for that reveal to happen! While this is part one of a series, it doesn't end on a horrible cliffhanger so I am OK with waiting for the next book... even though patience is not a virtue that I possess a lot of! If you haven't read the Dark Elements series yet, you don't have to in to have fun this book but it will be SO much better and meaningful if you do IMHO.

Storm and Fury: The Harbinger Series, Book 1 []  2020-1-14 19:40

Actual rating is 4.5 stars.I got an EARC of this story for an honest review by Armentrout and I will obtain true honest with is fresh series is a spin off of The Dark Elements series which is one of my favorite of all time.If you are not convinced that you need to pre this book by the description alone, I don't know what will create you do it. I will test to persuade you in this review so I mentioned before Storm and Fury is a spinoff of The Dark Elements series which is one of my favorites series out there and when I learned that Armentrout was revisiting that globe I knew I required to obtain my hands on this book right away.I got the EARC about two months ago (maybe a small more than that), sadly I had to place it on keep because I had to read other books that were coming out sooner, but finally I read it early May and oh gosh you guys!!!! I could not place it orm and Fury begins about 6 months after the happenings of Every Latest Breath. If you have not read the Dark Elements trilogy or if you have not gotten to the latest installment (i.e. Every Latest Breath) don't worry you don't have to be completely aware of what happened in that story (but it would support you understand some smaller info and it's an AMAZING trilogy so why wouldn't you?) to be able to follow along this fresh one.Long story short, we star with our fresh female lead Trinity (the whole name is a pun on it's own, you guys are going to love it when Roth brings it up), she lives at this basically HQ for Wardens where they train fresh ones and after trained they assign them to various clans all over the e is half human, half mystery (for about half the book you do search out what her other half of DNA is created up of, but when you do, it kind of blows your mind a small LOL).She has these powers and she is very strong, but she is going blind. Although it's something that comes up quite a lot (I feel Armentrout does this so us the readers understand how it is to live with such a disease) it's not forced or disruptive to the story, most of the time you kind of forget she has this illness until she reminds you of it, it was wonderfully written in the inity trains with her best mate and protector, Misha, they train almost every day for something that is coming. What is coming you ask?She doesn't know and neither do we. She just knows that her father wants her prepare for what is to come.(Also, you will be blown away when you search out who her father is. Just saying there are a bunch of plot twist in this story so be prepared.)All the training and power she has cannot prepare her for what is really to yne along with two other members of the D.C. guild come to HQ for reinforcement. Something is killing Wardens and Demons alike. They don't know what it is, but they need all the support they can inity and Zayne have a connection almost right away. There is something attracting them to each other and it's hot and massive from the Layla in the previous series, Trinity longs for something she can't have. Living with Wardens means she doesn't have a lot of contact with the outside globe and a lot of the beings she interacts with think of her just as a worthless human, most of them don't know what other half she is so they sort of discriminate versus inity knows she is destined for something great, yet she is still a teenager and she longs and dreams for normal teenage things, so when the opportunity presents itself at the expenses of a tragedy she takes up the Zayne gives her to come with them to e moment she arrives to D.C. all hell breaks loose, ere are things out to obtain her and she is not safe and then there is Zayne who gives her mixed signals and who is so closed off yet so begin with inity is faced with challenges she never expected, but she has something to accomplished and she will risk everything to create things work and fix what she thinks she is responsible orm and Fury brings you unexpected mythical monsters and that is what I like the most about Armentrout's books, she brings awareness to some epic mythical stories that just rock your globe when you read about is story is going to blow your mind and leave you wanting more. Trinity's story is unlike anything I read in a long e is this powerful independent female lead we all want we could be. This story has everything you could want for, mystery, attractive mythical creatures, adventure, love and we also obtain a glimpse of what life has been life for Zayne after everything went down with him and Layla and we also obtain to see Layla and Roth and how their life has moved forward.I completely recommend you guys go and this book, because it's amazing, swoon worthy and just perfection.

I received this eARC novel from the author and from NetGalley. This is my honest inity's life is different. She lives with the Wardens, but she is not a Warden. She trains like a Warden, but most in her community think that she's a human. She's not just a human. Trinity is one of the latest of her kind, but she cannot allow anyone know what she is. Not the Wardens, who might think she's an abomination. Not the humans, who can't comprehend what exactly she is. And definitely not the demons, for they would do anything to obtain their hands on inity is just waiting for the day that her father will summon her to use her greatest weapon to stop a certain event. What the happening is? She has no ings obtain a small complicated, though, when 3 Wardens present up. No one - never - comes to their community, so the fact that 3 fresh people are there, welcomed, makes Trinity go into spy mode to figure out what is happening. And that's when she bumped into Zayne, an interesting Warden with his own secrets to hide. When Trinity's protector, Misha, gets taken by an upper level demon, Trinity is making it her mission to obtain her protector, but more importantly her friend, back. And to do that, she is leaving with Zayne. Trinity has always wanted to travel, but this was not what she had in e longer Trinity is away from her home, the more secrets are revealed. Not only about her, but about everything in her life. By the end of her journey, Trinity will wonder what was true and what wasn't...Oh man. I was a small hesitant about this book. Not because I thought I wouldn't like it (it's JLA, I'll always love it!) but because it was about Zayne and I was totally Squad Roth in the previous series. I was just hoping that I would search a method to connect with Zayne, but I shouldn't have worried because Armentrout was able to create me fall in love with Zayne almost as much as I love Roth. Trinity is a amazing fit for him, and I'm so glad that the storyline went in this direction because it is so great!!I want we were able to obtain Zayne's viewpoint throughout the novel, because I'm sure what he was thinking about Trinity would have been amazing. Zayne is such a amazing guy, but Trinity pushed him past some dark secrets and really tested his boundaries. It would have been awesome to see what he was thinking about her during those so, with Trinity's eye disease, which JLA also has. I really thought Armentrout did an awesome job explaining it in a method for readers to understand this rare eye disease. I can't imagining going through that process, and when Trinity freaked out when Zayne essentially blocked all vision - that would be me daily thinking about the future not being able to see. That is my worst fear - losing my vision, and Armentrout was really brave for making her main hero have something so private to her life.I'm so glad I didn't allow me hesitance stop me from reading this book, because now I need to know more and more about what is going to happen to these characters! Fans of JLA and The Dark Elements series is going to LOVE this next installment!

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

So, allow me begin by saying that I was never a large fan of Zayne. In fact, I could have done with out him getting his HEA, Harsh I know but I was neither for him nor versus him. When Storm and Fury came out I fell in love with Trinity and Zayne was just there, again neither for nor against. Well all that changed with Rage and is picks up exactly where it left off from S&F with Trinity still reeling from the betrayal, damage and change she has had to go through. Now Zayne and Trinity have to navigate this fresh life together, finding the Harbinger, stop whoever is killing all the wardens with support from some familiar faces, and stopping the ever growing attraction they have toward each is book, for me brought back the old Zayne who I had started to love in the original stories(See White hot Kiss) he was in but quickly fell out of that because of other things. NOW, I am firmly in the Squad Zayne this exciting continuation of the Harbinger series this book is filled with action, angst and sometimes heartbreaking goodness. I always feel that if you read an Armentrout male that you didn't really care for, through her vivid method she writes, she always bring you back around to loving, if not LOVING e ending of this book is explosive and (insert heartbreaking part) but it def leaves you wanting more, as always with Jen's books.

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

Rage and Ruin is the second book in the Harbinger Series and is not a stand alone. Please read Storm and Fury before this book. In fact, to obtain the entire story regarding these characters, please read the entire Dark Elements series.*sob*Picking up right where book one left off, Zayne - human/Gargoyle and Warden - has now been bound to Trinity - human/angel - as her fresh Protector after Misha showed his cards that he was playing for the demon side the entire y thing is, a physical relationship is now forbidden between Zayne and Trinity by virtue of his role. These two were just one kiss away from being everything to each other, and now this happens!Zayne and Trinity must now work with Roth and Layla in to stop the Apocalypse. And finding the Harbinger is the key.Tears! Copious tears were shed during the reading of this book!Still sniffling here, so allow me obtain that under control ...Ok. So. Allow me just say that this was a super emotional read. Zayne and Trinity spend most of the book, along with Roth, Layla and Cayman, searching for who and what the Harbinger is as Wardens are slaughtered left and right. They do explore the Harbinger’s identity, and from there, for about the latest 25 percent of the book, I could barely blink the tension was so thick.I adored the growing relationship between Trinity and Roth, and the evolution of the relationship of Zayne and Trinity. I must admit I have always preferred Roth in general over Zayne, but now (of course only now) can I really appreciate l I can say is Jennifer better be kicking it overtime to obtain the next book in this series finished!

    The Anger Control Workbook (A New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook) []  2020-8-18 20:11

Simple to read/use, very effective workbook. Helps to obtain obtain at the underlying pain/stress, provacative situations, and trigger thoughts that lead to anger. Also amazing relaxation techniques and how to support inoculate yourself from, what turned out in my case at least, the "automatic" anger response. Create sure you create copies of the worksheets and write EVERYTHING down, then you can go back and you may see a pattern begin to emerge. I was amazed at what lies beneath my own anger and rage.I also read Anger Management For Everyone: Seven Proven Ways to Control Anger, by Tefrate, et. al. After I went through the book and did the exercises, I felt I required a small more help. Then I read and began doing the exercises in The Anger Control Workbook. For the first time in my life, I am starting to understand why I react the method I do. In my own experience, I found the two books to compliment each other in the given above. While nothing is a sure to permanently "cure" me from mad outbursts, I was able to see progress in myself almost immediately, starting from Chapter 3. What resulted was a fasinating self-awareness of myself and much-needed peace!

Storm and Fury: The Harbinger Series, Book 1 []  2020-1-14 19:40

Excellent blend of paranormal and humor with a touch of scary.. The series revolves around Charlie Payne and her cousins who are all witches but Charlie can also see and hear is time Charlie is up versus a demon who is possessing an evil mans body and killing women. Since the first book everyone but Daphine is now with a significant other. Charlie is dating the Grim Reaper, Lisa is dating the deputy sheriff and Jen is in a complicated relationship with a Defender of Light. Now that Charlie has accepted her destiny as a witch she doesn't hesitate to call on her cousins and Aunt for their support with dealing with ghosts and demons.I really have fun these spooky stories in the series along with the lovable unconventional cast of characters that keeps growing.

First of all, I love Wendy Wang's Witches of Palmetto Point novels. She does an awesome job of hero development. I'm always bummed out when I finish her books though, because I wish to hold reading about 4 in this series was fun but a bit lacking (in my opinion) -- there wasn't a lot of hero exploration and wrap up/closure on things like I'm used to in the Palmetto series. This book (Harbinger) created up for the latest one, though. It was AWESOME.Wendy -- I really love the Charlie and Tom relationship. Thank you for bringing them closer together in this book. Please hold writing about Charlie and her cousins -- they are so interesting!

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger Series Book 1) []  2020-5-15 18:0

This series is a spin off to The Dark Elements, which is one of my all time favorites. While Roth and Layla do create appearances as supporting characters, this focuses on various characters and takes put 6-7 months after that series ends. If you haven't read the original series, I recommend it because it is my favorite, but I don't think it is 100% necessary. Jen does a amazing job setting up the story for this fresh series without you needing to have read the previous books. She tells you what you need to know to set up the plot and gives you the backstory on anything mentioned that happened in the is story follows Trinity, a half human half something else who has been raised and trained with the Wardens for most of her life. Wardens gargoyles shape shifters who look human in one state and are [email protected]#$% demon fighting fighters in their other form. Trinity has some very unique abilities that create her enticing to demons and anything else supernatural, so she has been hiding amongst the Wardens. When strange things begin event in Washington DC a contingent from that guild come to visit and she immediately develops a connection with Zayne. Zayne has a ton of emotional baggage, but he is drawn to Trinity and her stubborn, snarky, impulsive ways. When Trinity is attacked at her own compound and her best mate is kidnapped, Zayne learns her real identity. In an effort to search out what is killing Wardens and demons and search her friend, Zayne and Trinity decide to work together. What Trinity learns during her time in Washington changes everything she was raised with.I really loved this! I loved that Jen wrote her eye disease retinitis pigmentosa into one of her characters. I've been a fan of Jen's for a very long time and she talks openly about it on her social media, so I knew Trinity was going to have this disease. I love that she didn't allow her failing eyesight stop her from being fearless. The part where she talks to Zayne about seeing the stars is beautiful. I'm really satisfied to see Zayne in this vulnerable stage, where he's trying to with his baggage. I also was so satisfied to obtain back to Roth and Zayne snarking at each other. One of my favorite things about Jen's books is the snark she writes between her characters, and no one does snark better than Roth. I like where the characters ended development-wise. They still have more development to do, but I like where they started and ended in this book. Knowing that the development will happen over the course of the series, I know they will obtain where they need to go y the end of it. I have lots of questions about this Harbinger, but I'm sure they will be answered with time. This follows alot of common themes in paranormal romance and books with a chosen one. It is related in tone and cadence to Jen's other books, which I the end of the day fans of JLA and the previous series are sure to love this. It is related to the first series, but various enough to pull you in and hold you interested. Paranormal romance fans will have fun this as it has all the right elements of action, emotion, and interesting creatures.I can't wait for book 2!

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger Series Book 1) []  2020-5-15 18:0

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger Series Book 1) []  2020-5-15 18:0

In a spin-off to her Dark Elements series, we meet Trinity, a girl living with the Wardens in West Virginia but, like her predecessor Layla, she is something else entirely. She feels human and smells like vanilla ice cream, but is really so much more. Trying to hold out of sight to protect her secrets, she meets a hot visiting Warden who comes with his guild to hers for help. Any guesses as to who this gooey blonde goodness of a boy would be? Enter Zayne! He’s moody, infuriating, and still trying to piece his heart together after Layla chose the Demon Prince Roth over him for a match created in, well, Hell. But this is Trinity and Zayne’s story. And when the two meet, they feel as if they’ve met each other before. But danger is afoot, because this time, something is killing both Wardens and demons. What a fun romp this was! Not only does Zayne obtain his own story here with lots of romantic heat and tension, but fan favorites Roth, Layla, and Cayman are back as well. And as much as I loved Dark Elements, this spinoff has an entirely fresh and new feel to it. Can’t wait until book two comes out to see how Zayne and Trin’s story turns out!

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger Series Book 2) []  2020-6-10 20:2

Wow. Rage and Ruin. This book gave me all of the feels....I am still wrapped up in the emotions this story om the very first page I was pulled back in to the globe of Gargoyles, Demons, and the hunt for the Harbinger. Zayne is now officially Trinity's protector, and the two are learning about the bond that links them together -while trying to war the attraction that had simmered into a slow burn by the end of Storm and Fury. While Zayne and Trinity are adjusting to their fresh normal, and the ancient angelic laws surrounding the appropriate relationship between a Protector and a Trueborne, they are becoming desperate in their hunt for the Harbinger, as more Wardens are being taken. Roth, Layla and Cayman play a bigger role in this story, and Roth had me laughing out loud so a lot of time throughout this book. But Trinity and Zayne? ALL of the feels. All. Of. Them. You cannot pass up this story - trust me! Armentrout has a bonus for writing the alpha character with a heart of gold, and Zayne? I think he's going for top of sensitive caring alpha. But Trinity and Zayne? ALL of the feels. All. Of. Them. You cannot pass up this story - trust me! Armentrout has a bonus for writing the alpha character with a heart of gold, and Zayne? I think he's going for top of sensitive caring alpha.

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

Hands down my favorite read of 2020 and one of my favorite books ever! With every word, every moment, every chapter this book just continued to excel expectations, to go outside boundaries, and to define what it means to be an exceptional story.JLA made and expanded this phenomenal globe that readers can escape to and obtain lost in. With each word it’s like I was a part of the story right alongside Zayne and Trinity. I was living in this creative and original story that JLA so flawlessly en there are the characters. Characters that I have become so attached to, that when they feel pain so do I, when they feel happiness I smile and laugh along with them. It’s like being tethered to them and never wanting to allow go. Zayne and Trinity are characters that are beyond memorable. They will forever keep a unique place. They are fighters, tough beyond measure. They are kind and generous, sassy and sarcastic. They are raw and vulnerable, feeling pain and experiencing is story is truly like no other. It had me gripping the edge of my seat, waiting with bated breath for what would come next. It always kept me guessing, being anything but predictable. It excelled in so a lot of facets that nothing is remotely comparable, and in the absolute best way.I can’t even start to truly place into words how exceptionally wonderful this book really was. If you haven’t read it, I cannot recommend it enough.

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

Rage and Ruin picks up where we were left in Storm and Fury, except this time the stakes feel much higher. Trinity has suffered a major loss and is now questioning everything around her and her past due to the brutal betrayal she faced. Unfortunately, though, she doesn’t have much time to truly grieve her loss because pressure from the Harbinger is beginning to fall on them. I’d have to say, things are much more intense in Rage and Ruin. It moves at a blessedly quick pace which created it a fast read despite being a huge book. We also obtain a more in-depth look into Trinity and who she is when she’s lost and trying to search her way. R&R is hands down a major self-discovery book for Trinity. Despite having lost her best mate and former protector, she has shown how adaptive she is as a hero and finally begins to recognize the morally grey zone between amazing and evil, and even ventures into the grey ose of us who are longtime series fans will appreciate the frequent appearances of a certain haughty crown prince and Layla, also our favorite broker demon as well. Something I really appreciated is the bond that Roth and Trinity build, especially throughout this book. I seriously fangirl and am totally squad Roth but it created me appreciate him all the more as a hero how he helps Trinity, and Zayne, even while sometimes making it seem he’d rather be anywhere else.I’ve always admired Zayne and we finally see him coming more into himself and becoming more confident in his choices, accepting that he doesn’t necessarily belong with the Wardens – and that’s okay. He is a hands down unbelievable seeing-eye-Warden for Trinity lol. I will also say I was wrong the entire time on who the Harbinger was and I’m totally here for that plot ere is a lot of hype around the ending because WTF, it deserves it. No spoilers but WHAT?! I honestly may have screeched out loud when I read it because things are going to be BONKERS in the next book (I’m ready for it now!). Don’t allow it keep you back though or wait to read just because we’ve got a bit of a wait until book three, believe me, you don’t wanna miss out on the smexiness 😉.

Rage and Ruin: The Harbinger Series, Book 2 []  2020-6-20 19:9

What can I say? I finished this book a few days ago and had to take a few days to obtain myself e second installment of the Harbinger series really delivers in real fashion that we’ve come to expect from Jennifer Armentrout. This book starts where Storm and Fury left off and has the characters that we know and love. We also learn a small bit more about the Harbinger. Trinity and Zane return in their war versus demons and their mission to track down the Harbinger inity and Zane have a relationship that is 1) building and 2) forbidden. I am so invested to see whether they will give in to their feelings or stay real to their duty. This was definitely a nail biter of a book and the ending…wow! I need the next book ASAP!
