Private finance is an extremely crucial subject especially during this time, I found this book to be quite helpful and the info was packed and written in a concise manner which created it simple to understand.Anything similar to finance is not a "fun" subject to read about, but it is definitely an necessary topic. I learned some fresh cash saving/spending hints from this book that I'm looking forward to apply it in my private life.

Save Money and Spend Wisely During and After the Economic Crisis: Personal Finance Tips for Managing Money and Budgeting Wisely in Difficult Times []  2020-11-25 19:26

As someone who has spend years as a consultant in financial services, I found this book timely and pragmatic, and relevant for the pandemic times we live in. Laced with nuances and discerning insights to save cash and curtail spending during times of uncertainty, this book provides true globe examples and hints to live a amazing life and yet chop unnecessary short-term, medium-term, and long-term expenses. What I liked in particular was the RULE of 72, the pandemic-proof tips, the serenity statement, and the focus on doing MATH to understand private finance in its entirety and adopt the lessons in the book for a happier and fulfilled life. The importance of compounding interest and cash is very well explained in the book, as is the significance of comprehending the difference between needs, desires, and goals to attain your financial goals. A must-read book to tide over the ambiguity and chaos that prevails during any adversity.

The inside track on surviving the pandemic financially. What your parents should have told you, think before you spend. Most of this tip is simply common sense. But for those lacking this insight, this self-help book is for you. Especially recommended if you are planning to live beyond 60.

This book is very useful for everyone who wants or needs to save money. In case you only apply a handful of the suggestions from the book, your purchase will have had a positive ROI. What I missed was something like a 30-day program or a separate workbook, that helps with making the change. Overall, a clear recommendation though.

What a time to need financial hints and tricks! Varied subjects on where to save money, and long-term plans. Very well written and super well-organized. Which for me is a large part of enjoying this type of book. So much of it is a amazing reminder, and don't forget to breathe through the process. It's a long-game thing! Recommending this one for sure!

Loved the transparency and clarity of the writing, even discussing some financial matters that are a bit over my head. Most of ideas and tip is basically common sense, the concepts that reasonable parents should pass to their children. But the book also addresses financial behaviors in the extreme situations of societal instability, which makes it very timely in the current situation. Overall, an perfect book for someone who doesn't consider themselves financially savvy per se, but is openminded and willing to learn.

Save Money and Spend Wisely During and After the Economic Crisis: Personal Finance Tips for Managing Money and Budgeting Wisely in Difficult Times []  2021-1-20 20:8

Although titled “Save Cash and Spend Wisely During and After the Economic Crisis,” this book actually serves as an overall tutorial to managing your private finances during any time at all, so you can live a full life without going broke. The pandemic does create certain situations unique, but cash is still cash and once you spend it, it’s gone. No one’s giving it back because you need someone my age (51,) a lot of of the hints in this book are just common sense. Cooking at home rather than eating out saves you money. Having only a cellphone, rather than using both a cellphone and landline saves you money. Airdrying your laundry rather than machine drying it saves you cash and prolongs the life of your clothing. Buying clothes out of season saves you money. Owning more than one vehicle rarely makes fiscal sense. On and on like that. It’s financial wisdom we all know but need to be reminded of anyway. Nothing wrong with that.Or maybe I’m just of a more frugal mind set. I know people who routinely ignore all of these rules without blinking and, yes, they’re always broke. Would reading this book support them? I believe so. What’s obvious to me, could be mind-blowing to someone else. There is even some tip in here I’ll be using myself. Dana Wise suggests calling your internet company and telling them you’re switching service unless they can offer a better deal. They just might do so to avoid the hassle and costs of replacing favorite part of the book states that “money is a tool and nothing more. It’s not how much you’re worth as a person, and it doesn’t signify how valuable you are.” Words so beautiful, I want with all my heart they were true.

This book is very useful for everyone who wants or needs to save money. In case you only apply a handful of the suggestions from the book, your purchase will have had a positive ROI. What I missed was something like a 30-day program or a separate workbook, that helps with making the change. Overall, a clear recommendation though.

This book is short enough to read but packs a punch. I felt it was well organized and provided some pithy and strong support for those who are grieving at Christmas. I want I would have had this available 25 years ago when our oldest son passed away. One of the things that I will always remember is that after a loved one is gone, we need to learn to go on with them in a fresh way, not just go on without them. This is a lovely thought and I will implement it i my own life. Thank you to the author for sharing these helps with grieving folks. Loss is so hard, and this gentle, loving book will be a blessing to all who read it.

This will be my third Christmas without my husband, and I can say with certainty that this book will be a support to anyone experiencing loss at the holidays. I learned much of this from other sources or by trial and error, but I can assure you this approach works. The best thing is that the book is short, simple to understand, and can be read in a single sitting. One warning: I had no issue with the faith-based notice at the conclusion, but non-Christians need to know the latest chapter is what we Southerners call an "altar call." Overall it's an perfect resource.

There were so a lot of variables that hit home that I was comforted by. As I continued to read I honestly can say I never felt alone. The feelings and emotions that I have experienced thru my journey of grief I thought I was the only one in the whole globe that felt and thought the method I did until I read Pastor Gary's books. I would definitely recommend this book to those of you approaching the holidays and don't know what to do. Gary created me feel like I had a choice in whether or not I would feel comfortable at a gathering during the holidays because of my grieving. This book support me create a decision and feel comfortable with what I decided. I lost my husband almost 2 years ago and read 3 of Pastor Gary's books at that time. Then I lost my mom 10 months ago and I was happy to learn that Pastor Gary had written another book for those of us who loss our parents. The most comforting words he says in all of his books are "we're all in this together." I no longer feel alone.

It was a little group of seven people, but it was an perfect dialogue and I believe the book helped facilitate that. They also liked the affirmations provided in the book and the idea of putting some on post it notes. I highly recommend this book as a person grieving the death this year of my twin and as a person who leads a caregiver ministry at my church.

After reading the positive reviews, I had high expectations that this book would really support me manage through my first holiday season without my mom. I am just feeling so lost and heartbroken, everything reminds me of her. This book is amazing advice, if you have a powerful help system of mates and family nearby. I stopped reading this book about half method through. For me, it actually created me feel worse (if that is possible) because it created me realize just how few people I have in my life who actually are there and who I can lean on for help through the holidays and beyond. So, at least for me, most of the suggestions/advice in this book don't really apply. I am still searching for that book that just helps me to somehow feel better or at least "normal" but starting to realize it doesn't exist. If you are here reading reviews for this book, you have probably experienced a painful, poor loss of someone dear. I am so sorry that life hurts so much sometimes. Just know you are not alone and cherish the memories you are blessed with.

I love Roe's style of presenting practical hints and tactics for dealing with the most difficult process of grieving the loss of a loved one, especially a spouse. This book, the 2nd in his 3-book "Good Grief Series," deals with one of the toughest challenges for those who are grieving--the holidaze. But his hints and tactics for moving positively through the grieving process even during the holidays are also helpful for getting through other life events, like anniversaries and birthdays, as well as daily life. I liked this book so much that I also bought the 2nd book in the series, "Heartbroken: Healing from the Loss of a Spouse." I am now about 1/3 through the 2nd book, and am so impressed with it that I also just bought the 3rd book, "Please Be Patient, I'm Grieving." You owe it to yourself to look into this series. I am sure glad that I TE: To anyone who might NOT be religiously inclined as I am not, and who might be concerned that Gary Roe's books lean heavily on God and religion as part of the healing process because he is a chaplain in a hospice program, HIS BOOKS DO NOT lean heavily on religion at all. They are highly secular with a smattering of religiosity.

This book helped by pointing out to take care of ourselves and don't stress out trying to do too much or trying to please others. It's okay to feel emotional and not have to pretend to always be ok or happy. Also create sure to have "safe" people around or in contact. Another amazing book. Thank you. Take care, Debbie

They also liked the affirmations provided in the book and the idea of putting some on post it notes. I highly recommend this book as a person grieving the death this year of my twin and as a person who leads a caregiver ministry at my church.

Save Money and Spend Wisely During and After the Economic Crisis: Personal Finance Tips for Managing Money and Budgeting Wisely in Difficult Times (Save Money and Work from Home) []  2021-2-17 21:3

Save Cash and Spend Wisely During and After the Economic Crisis by Dana Wise is a useful book especially for those looking to maximize the spending power of their weekly paycheck.  It has helpful hints on how to spend less on food, home costs, electronics, entertainment, automobiles, clothes, and travel.  While a lot of of the recommendations were common sense, I found the book useful because it's well-organized and well-written and is applicable to beautiful much anyone who is working and trying to create ends meet. I recommend it. It's well worth its modest price.

This book is very useful for everyone who wants or needs to save money. In case you only apply a handful of the suggestions from the book, your purchase will have had a positive ROI. What I missed was something like a 30-day program or a separate workbook, that helps with making the change. Overall, a clear recommendation though.

Here's a book that we could all use considering the current globe events. This is exactly what it sounds like: a book to teach you better spending habits - something I think everyone - particularly young adults and teens could use (I certainly could've used it a few years back). It's well-written without being preachy. The info is presented clearly and concisely and the book is beautiful short so it's a fairly fast and simple read. If this is something that you or someone you know could use; then give it a read.
